Virgil van Dijk to Liverpool odds: What the bookies think about potential deal being done
Van Dijk wants to join Liverpool but Starsport have been told there is NO chance of a deal being done. Saints are adamant the Dutchman is going nowhere, despite the Reds being prepared to pay £70m to get the centre-back.
Southampton legend Francis Benali expects Van Dijk to stay, and thinks big money could be on the way next summer. My gut feeling is that Virgil will still be a Saints player when the window shuts," he said.
"There's a lot of talk about the money he could go for and seeing the sort of fees some players are fetching it could take a huge, maybe record bid to prise him away after another good season at Southampton.
"Saints could be looking at £80m-plus.
It will be a decision for the club to take but I'm pleased with the stance they have taken and would like to see him remain a Saints player as long as possible. Liverpool have completed the signing of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal for £35m.

Stephan: The song is inspired by my grandpa
who had to move from his own house
to a retirement home

MAMAMOO open up about their shyness - Duration: 2:10.
MAMAMOO open up about their shyness
In a recent interview, MAMAMOO chatted about their latest promotions for Yes I Am as well as peoples perceptions of them as a group and more.
The interviewer told the group that they are famous for being very shy in front of new faces to which Solar replied, When we were taking photos earlier, it was so awkward that our expressions were stiff.
Its a little better now, but we do become reserved in front of new people. Hwa Sa continued, On stage, we play really well, but we become very quiet backstage if there is anyone we dont know.
Our shyness is an ongoing thing. When asked if they wanted to explain any misunderstandings from such an issue, Hwa Sa responded, I think thats just the way we are.
There are times when a person is happy, and times when they want to rest. We hope people look at our shyness as humanely as possible..
The interviewer also asked what the biggest misconception or misunderstanding they received as a group was. Moon Byul said, Even though we were only rookies a few years ago, we heard that we requested too many things.
We as a group contribute and involve ourselves into 80-90% of the album production. So when we were a rookie group, if we asked to do something in a certain way, people misunderstood that as arrogance.
Because of that, we were very flustered and taken aback at first. But now, they consider us more and say, theyre just this kind of group. This is their color..

Morris interviewed on CBC News Network about Eclipse, 8-20-2017 - Duration: 2:19.
I'm here on Main Street where the Eclipse Festival
has been taking place for the last three days
and thousands of people are expected to descend
on this town, up to 35,000 people
are expected from all over,
including a number of Canadians,
and I just happen to have some of them
here with me now.
This is Morris Maduro who is
originally a Canadian, now lives in California,
he's joined by some of his friends from Edmonton.
Who did you bring with you, Morris?
I brought my best friend of 30 years
Steven Searle, and his lovely 9-year-old son Nicolas,
with me, dragged them all the way from Edmonton
to come to Casper and
watch the eclipse with me.
So you're just a little bit excited about this?
Oh, more than just a little bit excited.
This is a lifelong obsession.
Ever since I was a kid
growing up in Edmonton, Alberta,
February 26, 1979, caught a total eclipse -
but off the centerline in Edmonton, 93%,
I've made it my lifelong ambition
to get to the centerline, which I've done two times
before this. I'm very excited to see this
eclipse here in Casper,
it's going to be terrific.
Have you picked a spot to watch it tomorrow?
We're trying to find a park, or some gathering place
with a lot of people,
to get an unobstructed view of the horizon,
see the orange glow during that
ever-so-critical total phase
where the sun is completely blocked out
by the moon, and you can see what looks like
an hour after sunset for a scant
two and a half minutes - it's going to be wonderful.
What are you going to look for specifically,
what are you going to focus on,
during those two minutes and twenty-five seconds?
I think during those two and a half minutes,
well, I like to document things,
I'm going to be recording video
of the eclipsed sun to show the
magnificent features of the corona,
also taking some still pictures
so I have some stuff to hang in my office
at the university.
But also just to try to capture the experience.
The sights and the sounds. Hear nature think
that it's a sunset,
to hear all the other people experience totality
for the first time, gasp, to hear people scream,
shout, and it's - for many
it's almost a religious kind of experience
to be in precise alignment
between - among the sun, moon, yourself and the earth,
a cosmic line that
connects you to our solar system
and our universe -- there's nothing like it.
That's it, thank you very much guys,
I really appreciate it, so -
there you go, that's just a sense of
some of the people who are here
enjoying this,
taking it all in, and it's
a sense of all the excitement
that's going on here, and of course tomorrow
the big show takes place mid-day,
and the weather forecast is looking good,
for clear skies,
so we can see the total eclipse.

PAUL MEANY ABOUT DARREN KING LEAVING MUTEMATH - Duration: 16:58.
I'm in TivoliVredenburg, Utrecht with Paul from Mutemath
Tonight they will perform here. Paul, how are you?
-I'm great! How are you today?
I'm very good, I'm very hot. It's august 29 today and it's extremely hot. So I'm sweating my ass off.
I'm kind of chilly actually
This is a nice spring day in New Orleans. Is it a coincidence?
Isn't like this is a historic day is the hottest day ever recorded? -No, I don't think so...
It's not? that's just the rumor?
That's just what they're telling us
So that we can feel special if we brought that from New Orleans? Oke, I like the legend better.
So it's good having you! you're performing tonight in Utrecht last year you played Melkweg in Amsterdam
But I want to talk about the time before that, because it took like nine years for you guys to come to Europe!
Why?
What's wrong with Europe?
I don't remember
Quite honestly it was so long ago. Yeah. We came to Europe. It was in 2007. quite a few times
Yeah, it just felt like it didn't happen
So I
I can tell you this: our last gig that we played in Europe. In '07 was a nightmare gig that our label put together and
We were opening for a band called The Used. Which is probably a ticket
We should not have been on. The Used is a very heavy band
for those who don't know and and at the time they were doing a private party for
Their fans
in London
There shouldn't have been an opening bandon that particular night
But they just thought it'd be a good idea to put us there so this was The Used most fanatical fans in for a private
party wanting to see their band and then here comes little ole Mutemath and
Didn't go well man
Didn't go well at all.... we pretty much
Got heckled the whole time and they were very excited when we left the stage
They were applauding at the end that we were finally done
But yeah, so that was the last gig that we played in Europe
So I kind of left a bad taste in our mouth, and so I guess we just weren't excited to come back
For at least a while, but now it's been really fun
And now you're here like for the second time in like one and a half year. - That's right. Yes
We just know: don't open for The Used! Lesson learned! -Lesson learned!
How does it work as a singer or as a band when a crowd is off?
Do you have like a couple of tricks? Like if they're not responding very well, or they're not you know going crazy
I'll do this song or I'll do this move... -I have one trick
And I used it that night with The Used. I just do this little handstand on my keyboard
It's like usually get a nice rise out of the crowd. So I was like alright
We'll get to that part of the show I went ahead and did it I plant it and I swear I heard someone heckled me
Right from the balcony right on the side of the stage and goes "why don't you go back to gymnastics class"?
I heart it very clearly... - wow
Just totally heckled my best move!! - yeah, so when you're doing that tonight. We know...
...the crowd is not doing very well in your opinion
Is there a big difference between playing in the states and in Europe?
Absolutely, I think I think whatever country you go to is usually a different different feeling
sometimes it's just the songs it's amazing how regionally different parts of
the Catalogue if you will
Connect or
What regions I remember we went to India
We have this ballad
Called You Are Mine
and which we usually throw in the middle of the set just to bring it down and
that wound up being like the biggest song we probably should have closed the show with that song and
Yeah, the crowd took that when it was like
Oh wow, I guess we learned that people really liked that song in India. What is the song in Europe well in Europe?
In Europe it's probably more
Spotlight actually there was um I guess there was a few people who found out about it through the movie Twilight
we were on that soundtrack back in o 9 and so
Spotlight. It was a little more spotlight
Wasn't a big thing in the states, okay?
So you're now a touring europe and you're headlining and doing a headline tour in the states as well. That's right
I want to talk about I think a month ago
the statement on your Facebook page
Yeah, that's the toughest statement. I had to make that was that was I was little I was a little challenging
Yeah, it was tough for all the fans as well
Yeah, and that's what made it tough cuz I knew how difficult it was gonna be for a lot of fans to hear that
Right and we were putting out a new album and getting ready to hit the road
So yeah, it was it was a challenging summer what we're pushing him
Well, I can't I can't divulge the details. I mean
With respect to Darren I mean he just he wanted to be out, and I respect that and and that's it and we're moving forward
so
you'll have that staring if you really want to know so
But ya know I was uh I was I was in shock, and I was panicked for a while
obviously, we weren't sure if we were gonna just have to cancel everything this album was not gonna see the light of day or
that was it and
called a few drummers trying to figure out if it was even possible to I mean that's a
That's what big shoes to fill the brandi drum for it before you you feel of the shoes I mean
What did your call what were you sitting in your kitchen back home and thinking okay? Are we done are we?
not loaning the tour
Absolutely, who do you call how does a big thing like that work?
it was a lot of tough conversations with our manager and some of the
agents and promoters and trying to figure out if is there a solution to be had can we and
Is there a drummer is there a drummer that can pull this off in the short amount of time to learn a lot of music?
most drummers who have the ability to
Even come close to covering for Darren are usually booked years out. You know. They're not just sitting around waiting for a gig and
So it was challenging. Yeah
But the stars had aligned for a particular friend of mine
who I'd played with
years ago
Just on a whim, we called him see if he might be interested might be available
And he was just fashioning his life to get back into music
It's what he wanted to do he had taken a break from it for a while
Coincidentally this is the drummer that when Darren originally moved to New Orleans
Darren came in to fill in for because this guy was he needed a break
But just what happens hutch who was the guy? Who's here we playing drums for the rest of the year with us?
fantastic drummer from New Orleans and
He was hungry for it. He wanted to do it. It was like an opportunity it was sort of a redemptive thing
We're brought as like this an opportunity. Do you want this as big shoes? It was like absolutely
I remember you saying in the statement that this he's the only guy you want to do this with I knew he had the ability
I just didn't know if he'd be
Available or wanted to do it and so what is scrutiny and the criticism that was gonna come with you know?
Whoever's Gonna fill in for Darren so what what if if he said? No, I?
Don't know. I don't know. I really don't know man. I
Wasn't sure
Would probably had to cancel quite honestly yeah, cuz I wasn't finding anyone else
What is it likely because there were a lot of changes in the band the last couple of years?
What what keeps you going? I can't imagine. You just saying alright. I'm done if this all these shit
Is that's what we say in the netherlands. He's going on. I'm done right and
Honestly that thought had crossed my mind
but
at the end of the Day I
Mean I love what I do. I love getting to play in this band
I love the music that we've created over you know 15 years. I'm really proud of it and especially this new album
That's what really kept me going at the end of the day is is the work that we did that we
poured our lives into for the past year
But really it's been five years in the making but especially the past year this play Dead album
It's a collection of songs I really believe in and I
Was pretty hell-bent to just wanting to take this out on the road and so
I didn't want to call it. I just really did at the end of the day
That's what I that's what I celled with myself that no, I'll do whatever it takes to try to keep this thing going
And give this album a chance, so that's why we're here and and thankfully to the guys in the band who've been
Working their asses off to fit mean Darren. Just not a drummer just to contribute to the band creatively. I mean left quite a void
But I've I've been really taken back watching all the guys on our team and in the band just
Work even harder to fill in that void to make sure we can keep going
me personally
And I mean all the fans are so happy that you're that you're doing this you think this'll work
yeah, the response a lot of the positive responses which I was quite surprised that have just
Been awesome, so thank you guys when I get like a negative
Comment or something on my you know instagram or something I feel like mmm. Oh I want to reply
Is it something you have as well? No not not for this I?
because I understand it all because I felt the same way when when I was processing the news and
And quite as I'm writing the statement having lived
In this new age of YouTube comments and online you know just scrutiny
I was I was imagining all the negative comments that were gonna come and I was already starting to process it and try to cope
With it's like I just know what people are gonna say this is
and quite honestly some of the worst things I had thought of
No one has said yeah, or at least in my face
They might be thinking it, but at least people were showing some restraint and feelings
They don't have to tell me that and just be mean
Which I'm thankful for and I'm not scouring comments, either. I'm not like
I've seen a few of the things I think
But for the most part what I've seen which I'm thankful for is it's been positive
Yeah, now you're on stage, and I know people tonight as well are coming to the show, and they're like okay
Let's see what what what the vibe will be it does kind of feel like we're auditioning for our fans again
Or you know try z right?
Yeah it
But I get it
and
And we're up for the challenge quite honestly and so is hutch. I mean he's invigorate but he's he was like he wants to be
Yeah, come check it out. Do you know if he's gonna? Yell out that I suck go ahead we want different back
Go ahead. Yell. It's okay. We're gonna try to make this thing alright for you guys and and his attitude has been incredible
I mean what he was doing for the past 15 years before he steps back into playing drums
He's been a paramedic in new Orleans, so a first responder. I mean an everyday hero. I mean this guy is
in the thick of life-And-death situations, and so when I was trying to explain to him some of the
The Criticism he might be up against with with you know Darren is a beloved
figure in our band and him not being there and someone else stepping in is could piss some people off and
He's like man
It's alright man. We're ready all we're just gonna. Go hug some people just let them know it's gonna be all right well, we'll apply
We'll bring out the pads will will shock those who uh their heart stops yeah
And you have extra security we have extra security anyone goes down. Yeah
He's taking care of us on a lot of levels right now. Yeah
So you you said earlier that the new album? It's coming out in Like 2
1 like 10 days right yes, september 8th. We 10 days away. Yeah what so what's the main message?
What's the story that you want to tell well the main message is the idea of life after death?
that's what this whole album is about in the face of
Decomposition and facing an end of some chapter or even you know whether from literal life death
Or to just the death of certain errors of our lives
you know what we do how to face that and this whole album is trying to celebrate those moments and
Believing even if it's against belief sometimes that there is life to be had there is
there is a sliver of light even in the the darkest of situations, so
It's ten songs that I think I'm looking at this from all different angles
From song one that starts with kind of celebrating the life of my grandfather was a huge
Inspiration to me and kind of set the Mantra for my life
to
How I look at the life of my daughter and and myself and I'm coping with this. This is the first record I've made
now that I'm 40 years old and so I'm at this certain turning point in life and
And so as I'm saying we're singing about all this stuff and now it's like
Alright now we're facing it on a new level. Just just within our band. It's kind of ironic. Yeah, so it's like
What are you gonna?
Do alright were you gonna put your money where your mouth is or what yeah, and it's like, ya know
We're gonna sing these songs and that means even more
So which song fits the best with this situation?
Well, I mean, I mean stroll on the idea of just pushing for evolution. I mean there's lines throughout the whole album
The feeling of this moment could be all we have there may not be anything
later on
and
Certainly when we started this new year. I mean, I would have never thought all of a sudden
Reality would have changed within our band is as abruptly as it did
But it made me so much more appreciative for what we do have and and for the guys
Who are willing to play these shows? I don't know if this is our last meeting
I don't know if this will be our last tour that we do this year
But if and and the good of that is it forces me to just enjoy the present
And I think that's what this every song that we wrote on play dead was about is trying to find your way to
be more present
So here we are
And we're Gonna have a good time tonight
That's for sure, so
Davis is joining you this tour and then the end of the year Christmas time?
What's next for you well for the band?
Quite honestly, I don't know
And I'm trying not to think too much about it. I mean I'll always be creating music and making me you know
that's obviously uh
My passion what I love to do as far as within the confines of mute, math
Actually, I don't think that's up to me. I think it's mainly up to the fans and
I know that as long as people are interested in it
I'll go I'll go to my last breath act because I love
What we do in this band, and I?
Think it's I think it's up to everyone else
And as long as everyone's interested or they're enjoying this new iteration of new math, we'll keep it going
So we should all command under the the the videos on your YouTube channel or Facebook? Oh?
Yeah, we should yeah, we should the end of the year. We're gonna just pull all the comments see what columns they follow
we're Gonna be a
Diagnostic no, but I think mainly it'll be a feeling I think it'll be within the band too however
you know is everyone feel invigorated to keep pushing and
But no matter what happens then?
We are determined to have a great time with what we have for this next eight weeks that we're on tour and while we get
to play music together and
That's the main focus right yeah
enjoy
Thank you. Thanks. Thanks for being here, and I have a great time in in in the netherlands
And I hope nobody will you know start about your gymnastics tonight?
I've worked on my form though. Oh really yeah, so hopefully it'll be a little bit. It scarred me. It did cool. Thank you

Liposuction-3 Common Myths About Lipo-Dr.hourglass - Duration: 6:39.
Hi, this is Dr. Hourglass, and welcome to another video in our channel Star Bodies.
Today we are going to discuss: 3 Common myths about liposuction.
In this channel we discuss everything you need to know to get that star body that you want.
Welcome back!
At a worldwide level, liposuction is one or the second most commonly performed plastic surgery procedure
(together with breast augmentation surgery).
Unfortunately, it is also a procedure covered in myth and mystery, despite the abundant information
you can find all over the internet or from different sources.
However, to make an informed decision about undergoing this procedure, you need to be able
to tell between reality and speculation.
The most common myths related to liposuction are:
1. Liposuction can successfully replace diet and physical exercise
Liposuction is not a weight loss method.
We can't say this often enough.
Liposuction is an aesthetic intervention which will eliminate the fat localized in different areas of the body.
During the procedure, the patient will lose a few pounds as a result of the fat removal.
But by no means will an obese or overweight person return to a normal weight just
by undergoing the procedure.
Keep in mind there is a maximum amount of fat that can be eliminated in one liposuction session,
and this is around 7 liters.
2. The fat deposits will be restored shortly after liposuction
The procedure removes the fat cells in the area targeted.
This means they are permanently removed and won't find their way back into the patient's body.
However, even if the fat cells don't multiply again, they can still increase their volume.
The fat cells that are still left in the area can become larger, giving the appearance of a new fat deposit.
Until this happens, the patient will notice an accumulation of adipose tissue in the areas
that have not been treated with the procedure.
Maintaining a balanced diet and a regular exercise routine is essential for sustaining
the results of the procedure for a long time.
3. Liposuction is a good treatment for cellulite
Cellulite is a complex condition involving the skin, fat and fibrous tissue.
With liposuction, we target the fat deposit that is directly under the skin.
When removing some of that fat, the aspect of the skin in the area can be affected,
but it is not always for the better.
There are cases when the cellulite effect will be diminished and improved when the skin retracts
on the new contours of the area, but this is minor.
There are also cases when, due to poor skin quality, the cellulite effect is made much more visible
after a liposuction procedure.
Don't believe everything you read online, especially when it comes from unverified sources.
If you have questions, check with the plastic surgeon.
In this video, we discuss: 3 Common myths about liposuction.
In the next video, we will discuss: What to expect after liposuction.

In a Relationship with a Narcissist? What You Need to Know About Narcissistic Relationships - Duration: 17:42.
In a Relationship with a Narcissist?
What You Need to Know About Narcissistic Relationships
Narcissistic relationships are formed when one or both partners struggle with a narcissistic personality.
Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) is defined by The Mayo Clinic as "a mental disorder in which people have an
inflated sense of their own importance and a deep need for admiration.
Those with narcissistic personality disorder believe that they're superior to others and have little regard for other
people's feelings.
But behind this mask of ultra-confidence lies a fragile self-esteem, vulnerable to the slightest criticism."
We live in an increasingly narcissistic world.
Hard statistics and science are pointing in this direction.
The "look at me" mentality that is often promoted by social networks like Facebook has people positively enamored with
the image they present to the world.
In addition, we may now be seeing the negative effects of the self-esteem movement on a larger scale.
So how does this rise in narcissism impact our personal relationships?
For one thing, more narcissism means more narcissistic relationships.
Professor Brad Bushman of the Ohio State University put it bluntly, when he said:
"Narcissists are very bad relationship partners." Studies show that in a narcissistic relationship,
your partner is more likely to engage in manipulative or game playing behaviors and less likely to be committed
long-term.
A relationship with a narcissist can be hard to cope with.
To shed light on the common outcomes, struggles, and effects of a narcissistic relationship,
we've interviewed psychologist and author Dr. Lisa Firestone.
How Can You Tell if You Are in a Narcissistic Relationship?
When thinking about narcissism, I'm often reminded of the joke when someone goes on and on about themselves,
then interrupts with, "But enough about me, how do you feel about me?" If your partner is all about themselves,
always needing attention and affirmation, he or she may be a narcissist.
If someone is easily slighted or over-reactive to criticism, they may also be a narcissist.
If they feel they are always right, that they know more, or that they have to be the best, etc.,
these are also signs of narcissism.
Narcissistic individuals may only appear to care about you when you are fulfilling their needs or serving a purpose for
them.
A narcissistic relationship can lead to a lot of emotional distress.
It is estimated that around 1% of population suffers from NPD.
However, many people who have NPD do not seek treatment and therefore are never diagnosed.
Studies show that men are more likely to be narcissistic.
Roughly 75% of the individuals diagnosed with NPD are men.
Although almost everyone has some self-centered or narcissistic traits,
most people do not meet the criteria for having a personality disorder.
There is, however, a growing portion of the population that is displaying a greater number of toxic,
narcissistic traits, which are having an adverse effect on their lives and the lives of people close to them,
even if they do not meet the clinical diagnosis of NPD.
Forming attachments to individuals who exhibit these negative traits often causes similar distress as a diagnosable
narcissistic relationship.
A new study from Ohio State University has found that one simple question can identify narcissists as accurately as the
40-item test that has been widely used to diagnose NPD.
The question is simple, rating yourself on a scale of 1-7: "To what extent do you agree with this statement:
I am a narcissist.
(Note: The word 'narcissist' means egotistical, self-focused and vain.)" You can even try out this free interactive
narcissism quiz.
However, while this study suggests that many narcissists will freely admit to their narcissistic tendencies,
it is important to note that most narcissists resist the diagnosis of NPD.
Narcissists, generally, do not like to be told that they are narcissists.
In fact, they often have a strong negative and volatile reaction.
Below are some common traits that a narcissistic relationship partner is likely to have:
(Note the degree to which these traits manifest themselves will vary largely depending on the individual.)
Sense of entitlement or superiority
Lack of empathy
Manipulative or controlling behavior
Strong need for admiration
Focus on getting one's own needs met, often ignoring the needs of others
Higher levels of aggression
Difficulty taking feedback about their behavior
Why do people become narcissistic?
Is it a symptom of something else?
Narcissistic people often have narcissistic parents, who offered them a build up but no real substance.
Their parents wanted them to be great, so they could be the parent of a great person, the best artist,
smartest student, etc.
Often narcissistic people were also neglected, as their parents were so focused on themselves that they could not
attune to their child or meet their child's emotional needs.
The child was only useful to these parents when they were serving a purpose for them.
Often, the parents of a person with NPD alternated between emotional hunger toward the child and disinterest.
Narcissists have inflated self-esteem (both self-soothing and self-aggrandizing "voices") a component of what my
father, Dr. Robert Firestone, refers to as the "anti-self." They are very fragile,
because the flip side of their self-aggrandized feeling is very low self-esteem,
the other component of the anti-self (made up of extremely self-hating and self-demeaning "critical inner voices").
So, for these people, even slight criticism can be a narcissistic injury,
leading to an angry outburst and desperate attempts to regain their fragile, inflated self-esteem.
Often, a condescending remark will help them to reestablish their superior image.
Condescending is a common dynamic in narcissistic relationships.
This behavior can be traced back to the need desperate need narcissists feel to be above others.
What are the different types of Narcissism?
While all narcissists are likely to show certain behaviors, not all narcissists are the same.
In fact, there are two different types of narcissism, Grandiose Narcissism and Vulnerable Narcissism.
These types of narcissism stem from different early childhood experiences andlead to different behaviors in a
relationship.
Grandiose narcissists display high levels of grandiosity, aggression and dominance.
They tend to be more confident and less sensitive.
They are often elitists and have no problem telling everyone how great they are.
Usually grandiose narcissists were treated as if they were superior in their early childhood and they move through life
expecting this type of treatment to continue.
In relationships, grandiose narcissists are more likely to openly engage in infidelity or leave their partners abruptly
if they feel that they are not getting the special treatment that they think they are entitled to.
Vulnerable narcissists, on the other hand, are much more emotionally sensitive.
They have what Dr. Campbell describes as a "fragile grandiosity," in which their narcissism serves as a façade
protecting deeper feelings of inadequacy and incompetence.
Vulnerable narcissists swing back and forth between feeling superior and inferior.
They often feel victimized or anxious when they are not treated as if they are special.
This type of narcissism usually develops in early childhood as a coping mechanism to deal with abuse or neglect.
In relationships, vulnerable narcissists often worry about how their partners perceive them.
They can be very possessive, jealous and paranoid about their partners having flirtations or affairs.
How does a narcissistic partner negatively impact a relationship?
Narcissistic relationships tend to be very challenging.
Narcissistic partners usually have difficulty really loving someone else, because they don't truly love themselves.
They are so focused on themselves that they cannot really "see" their partner as a separate person.
They tend to only see the partner in terms of how they fill their needs (or fail to fill their needs).
Their mates and children are only valued in terms of their ability to meet these needs.
Narcissistic partners often lack the ability to have empathy with their partners' feelings.
This lack of empathy leads to a lot of hard feelings.
Yet many people are drawn to narcissistic relationships.
Narcissistic partners can be very captivating, especially at the beginning.
They tend to have a "big" personality.
They are the life of the party.
They can make you feel that you too must be great for them to choose you.
However, in time, they can be too controlling in relationships.
They may feel jealous or easily hurt.
When narcissistic injuries occur, they often lash out and can be cutting.
Their reactions are dramatic and attention-seeking.
According to narcissistic personality expert, Dr. W. Keith Campbell, "The effects of narcissism are most substantial in
relation to interpersonal functioning.
In general, trait narcissism is associated with behaving in such a way that one is perceived as more likable in initial
encounters with strangers— but this likability diminishes with time and increased exposure to the narcissistic
individual." This is why many people, who have been in a long-term narcissistic relationships,
describe a very passionate and exciting honeymoon period in the beginning and then a sharp decline as the likability
decreases and the self-centered behaviors increase.
Narcissists are prone to falling madly in love with someone instantly and are very quick to commit.
However, this initial love and commitment is not easily sustained.
When you are in a narcissistic relationship, you may feel very lonely.
You might feel like you are just an accessory and your needs and wants are unimportant.
Narcissistic partners act as if they are always right, that they know better and that their partner is wrong or
incompetent.
This often leaves the other person in the relationship either angry and trying to defend themselves or identifying with
this negative self-image and feeling badly about themselves.
What are some things a person can do to deal with a narcissistic partner?
If you find yourself in a narcissism relationship, you can first recognize what you have chosen and reflect on the
unconscious motives that might have led you to choose such a partner.
Did you have a self-centered parent?
Are you more comfortable with your partner being in control, so you can then take be more passive?
Do you get a sense of worth from being attached to someone who is in the spotlight?
Does the negative image of yourself they foster with their criticisms and superior attitudes resonate with your own
critical thoughts about yourself?
Many people who fall in love with narcissists have issues around co-dependency.
They will put up with a certain amount of abuse because they don't feel confident enough in themselves to set
boundaries or be on their own.
Understanding your role in the narcissistic relationship is important.
You can then start to challenge yourself to change your half of the dynamic.
This will, in turn, challenge your partner to change their style of relating.
You can recognize the fragility of your partner's self-esteem and have compassion for the fact that his or her inflated
sense of self, superiority and grandiosity is a cover up for the flip side of self-hate and feelings of inadequacy.
You can also develop your own self-confidence and self-worth by learning to practice self-compassion.
Don't be a victim.
In all encounters, act equal, and treat your partner as an equal.
How can people face and overcome their own narcissism?
A narcissist can challenge and overcome their narcissism by recognizing and separating from both the self-soothing,
self-aggrandizing and self-attacking attitudes of their critical inner voice.
The attitudes they internalized very early on in their lives.
They need to recognize and challenge these attitudes toward themselves and toward others.
One method for doing this is through Voice Therapy.
Narcissists further need to differentiate from negative traits of their parents or early caretakers that they are still
acting out in their current lives.
These traits might include superior attitudes or condescending behaviors.
They also need to give up the adaptations they made to the ways their own parents neglected them or were emotionally
hungry toward them.
These adaptations may have once been their survival mechanisms, but they now manage to push others away and sabotage
personal lives and goals.
Narcissists also need to break patterns of being self-centered or withholding.
They must fight the tendency to always compare themselves to others and the need to be the "best" or "perfect" all the
time.
Another way to cure narcissism is to foster self-compassion rather than self-esteem.
Psychologist Dr. Kristin Neff has done extensive research on self-esteem versus self-compassion.
The difference between self-esteem and self-compassion is that self-esteem centers on evaluating yourself in relation
to others and emphasizes a need to be special.
While self-compassion focuses on "treating oneself with kindness, recognizing one's shared humanity,
and being mindful when considering negative aspects of oneself." Dr. Neff's studies have found that self-esteem leads
to higher levels of narcissism, but self-compassion does not.
Self-compassion actually combats narcissism because it includes the idea of a shared humanity with all other human
beings, which leads to more compassion for others.
Self-compassion also fosters real self-awareness, a trait many narcissists lack,
as it promotes that we be mindful of our faults, which is the first step to changing negative traits in yourself.
For there to be any hope of recovering a good relationship from a narcissistic relationship,
the narcissist must overcome their self-centered and negative traits.
They need to challenge their self-feeding habits and pseudo-independent stance.
They need to focus on developing their capacity for empathy and respect of others.
Lastly, they need to develop transcendent goals, to care about and invest in others' well-being.
Being generous and giving to others are examples of behaviors that would be corrective,
building real self-esteem and practicing focusing outside of oneself.

DEMI LOVATO REVEALS A SINGLE FROM HER NEW ALBUM IS ABOUT SOMEONE HER FANS KNOW
There is a lot of excitement over Demi Lovato's upcoming studio album release, from both her
fans and the singer herself.
This will be her sixth album, and after releasing the first track, "Sorry Not Sorry," fans
are eager to hear more of what the singer has been working on after announcing that
she was taking a step back from the spotlight last year.
While speaking to MTV News prior to the Video Music Awards on August 27, Demi Lovato opened
up about her new music and one song in particular.
Although the singer is excited for her new album, Tell Me You Love Me, it seems there
are still some nerves in regards to one song that fans have yet to hear.
Demi Lovato shared that there are times when one puts out music where, "you just feel
like everyone is going to know" who it is that is being written about.
She feels like there will most likely be headlines that come out of a particular song.
However, Lovato pointed out that when she is working on her music, it is all about being
vulnerable.
The singer explained that working on a song is about writing what is inspiring at the
time.
This means that all of the other "baggage that comes with it" is what is making the
singer nervous in terms of her new album, and at least one song specifically.
Although Demi Lovato did not say which song she is referring to when she says that one
song, in particular, has inspired her nerves, she did say that she believes that things
happen for a reason.
The singer said that at different times in a person's life, they will experience different
emotions, and these emotions do not have to be explained to other people, even if they
are conveyed in a song.
While Demi Lovato might have some nerves about her upcoming album and the songs that are
on it, she pointed out that whatever people want to think about what she is singing about,
or whatever theories they may have, everything is fine.
In fact, the singer made it clear that she knows what her song is about and who inspired
it, and she plans to just "let it be."
Fans of Demi Lovato will get the chance to figure out who the singer might be singing
about when her new album, Tell Me You Love Me, arrives on September 29.
In the meantime, they also have her first single, "Sorry Not Sorry" they can enjoy
leading up to the release date.

Samuel & Gugudan Mina share their stories about 'Produce 101'! [Happy Together / 2017.08.31] - Duration: 10:38.
I have to perform that there.
Singers didn't go overseas back then.
How'd you decide to work in Japan?
I debuted as a singer when I was 15
and I first went to Japan when I was 18.
I passed an audition there when I was a teenager.
You sung in Japanese?
I memorized the lyrics spelled out in Korean.
I went to Japan
since I had no connections in Korea.
I didn't think I'd make it here.
So I auditioned in Japan and I passed.
You ended up auditioning because of your dad?
My dad wouldn't let me study.
He kept telling me to go to Seoul.
And do what?
To be a singer.
So your dad knew.
He ran a barber shop in Gwangju.
He always made me sing as a kid for customers.
I sang into the mirror.
I stood behind the guy getting his hair cut.
What did you sing?
I sang Lee Mija songs.
That's like early training.
Your dad recognized your talent.
Samuel, how about you?
You went through an audition.
Was your family supportive?
I first heard Justin Bieber's song
when I was in 5th grade.
- That's a strong memory. / - It suits him.
I loved it and I told my mom I wanted to audition.
So I did and I passed.
That brought me to Korea.
- Show us a dance you're good at. / - Samuel!
Stand in the center.
I'll watch how they react.
So this is how this feels.
What does that feel like?
Like I'm being watched from front and back.
We'll send you energy.
We'll send good vibes.
Let's watch Samuel.
("Get Ugly" by Jason Derulo)
(Let's get started)
Samuel!
(This is the real deal)
(Connected to the floor)
(He dances for the front and back)
(Pretty good)
(His movements are precise and he points)
(He plays with the music)
(Dancing is in Samuel's DNA)
(Getting addicted to the fast beat)
(The 16-year old is cheerfully seductive)
So light on his feet.
(Look at this young spirit)
(This is me)
(And a modest bow)
He makes great expressions when he dances.
Kai said something back there.
He's good at hearing the music.
Kai, how was his dancing?
He's very good.
Isn't he good?
Taemin, what did you think?
He's very good. You could miss some of the beats
but he heard them all.
He danced as he heard the music.
Samuel, you were in "Produce 101."
And 101 of you guys lived together.
How was that? I'm sure that was a first for you.
There were around 6 or 7 to a room.
Since there were so many of us...
The foot odor.
I have rhinitis.
It cleared up my sinuses.
So it was effective.
The foot odor cleared up your sinuses?
That was my first time living in a dorm.
I had fun.
I got used to the other guys.
Did anything give you a hard time?
What was the most difficult thing?
The guys snoring.
Who snored the most?
- Can I say it? / - Yes.
(Who snored the most?)
I'm sorry about this.
Daniel.
(The girls panic)
- Really? / - Daniel?
(It's a misunderstanding)
I didn't think Daniel would snore.
Kang Daniel.
It happens when you're tired.
Mina, you had to live in a dorm too.
(Mina also lived with 101 people)
We heard from Samuel. How was that for you?
I can relate to his stories.
For me, that was my first time living in a dorm.
All I brought were clothes.
Then I started keeping the clothes from the stylists
at the dorm
and filled my bag with snacks.
I filled my bag with only snacks.
What was hardest for you, Mina?
I was 17 years old then
so I really wanted to sleep a lot.
I went back to the dorms after practice
and I fell asleep untying my shoes.
Really?
I fell asleep like that once.
Sleeping was the hardest part.
You struggled over sleeping.
I heard you voted for Samuel.
Yes, he's so skilled.
Dahye, you voted?
My husband had to...
You have to sign up for 2 sites to vote.
(She's like a voting expert)
There are two separate sites.
You're one of the citizen producers.
My husband had to vote because of me.
He voted for Samuel?
He's so talented but he kept dropping in rank.
That made me angry.
I told my friends to vote for him.
It was a bit of a shame then.
But now that I think about it,
I didn't make it since I'm probably still lacking.
He's so modest.
What did your agency CEO say?
- Your CEO is Brave Brothers? / - Yes.
I heard my CEO went to the bathroom and cried.
- He cried? / - Yes.
The shoot had ended
and he said he'll go to see me.
But he didn't want me to see him cry.
Him?
Brave Brothers has a soft heart.
He looks like a scary guy
but he has a kind heart.
I see.
I know girl groups have to diet a lot.
I hear Yerin can eat 5 hamburgers.
But you don't gain weight?
When I was a trainee...
Some burger places stay open until the late hours.
And one place had buy one, get one free.
So I ordered that.
I ate one and another but I was still hungry.
You were still hungry after eating 3?
Maybe you have a parasite, Yerin.
That's going too far.
To a girl group member.
A girl group member with a parasite?
I'm still eating a lot.
Mina is known for her eating too.
It saddens me a bit because
chubby Mina was so cute on the show.
She lost so much weight.
- You did lose a lot of weight. / - How much?
After I started dieting
I lost around 9kg.
A lot of people have been telling me I lost weight.
You lost a lot.
9kg is like Yongman losing his head.
It's a big head.
It must've been hard for you.
Mina, you enjoy eating so much that
you struggled as a trainee.
When I was a trainee,
we had our set weight quotas.
I had to be determined to meet that quota
but it was so hard for me.
I'd eat chocolate in the bathroom while crying.
We ran into each other at the snack bar.
The school snack bar.
We went to the same school.
- You went to the same high school? / - Yes.
You two are from the same hometown.
- What's your hometown? / - Jeju-do.
You both came from Jeju-do and made it big.
(Daughters of Jeju-do)
It must be amazing to meet again as singers.
It is amazing.
It's so nice always having a friend around.
We support each other.
When did you two come to Seoul?
(So sudden)
- Dayoung. / - Yes?
That was a powerful punch.
She keeps acting shy.
(How so?)
How is she acting shy?
She wasn't like this in school?
How was she in school?
Easygoing.
- I was? / - Yeah.
Talk like you did as students.
Do you speak in a Jeju-do accent?
Dayoung went to Mina's class.
We weren't friends when we lived in Jeju-do.
We went to an arts high school in Seoul.
My friend in Jeju-do told me there's a girl from
Jeju-do in class 5 and I should go find her.
So I went to class 5 and opened the door.
"Hey, who's the girl from Jeju-do?"
(Finding a friend from Jeju-do in Seoul)
Mina was sitting in class.
She looked at me with rabbit eyes and said, "Me."
- Really? / - Yes.
I was so happy to see her.
"Oh, yeah?"
- How cute. / - It's Jeju-do dialect.
"I'm from Jeju-do too!"
"Let's go!" And we went to the snack bar.
"Let's go!"
I never used Jeju-do dialect in Seoul
but it just came out
when I met a friend from Jeju-do.
Have a conversation thinking of that time.
We didn't see each other often, but when we did...
Dayoung! What's up with you?
Golly, look at all the weight you shed!
(Who are you?)
This is funny.
What?
Hear what happened to her?
Who?
You know.
Her? Her?
What happened to her?
I don't know either.
Like that.
We couldn't even understand.
You two are like young female divers.
Young divers.
We couldn't really understand you two
but it was very clear you two were getting along.
After not seeing each other in a while.
It's obvious that Dayoung is a cuteness machine.

14 AMAZING Things About Women! - Duration: 9:23.
14 Amazing Things About Women!
14.
Women can sync their periods together- If you've ever lived in a house full of women,
then you already know the stress and hormonal madness that can occur once a month.
If you thought one period was bad, girls can actually sync their period together creating
twice the chaos!
But what exactly does that mean?
A scientific study that dates back to 1971 examined 135 American women all living together
in one dorm and was discovered that there was an increase in their menstrual cycles.
It all has to do with socially mediated synchrony, which doesn't apply just to women but to
animal species as well.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, a group of females all become sexually receptive
at the same time so that they won't be targeted and singled out by men.
Huh, go figure!
13.
Women's intuition- A woman's intuition is not just an old wives tale.
In fact, scientist theorizes that women may have developed some sort of sixth sense over
time.
Research conducted on nonverbal communication indicated that women as a whole are better
than men when it comes to reading facial expressions; enabling women to pick up subtle messages.
Women are also better at displaying their emotions through their feelings and tone of
voice.
It is speculated that these elements have heightened throughout the ages giving females
the ability to understand their children's needs and their spouses.
12.
Ladies think about their appearance nine times a day- A survey held on the shopping channel
QVC proposed that British women think about their looks at least nine times a day and
will refuse to leave their homes without putting lipstick on.
While 30% of females admit that their beauty is the last thing they think about on their
minds, 16% say their makeup routines is the first thing on their brains when they wake
up.
The same survey also found out that more than a third of females were concerned about looking
presentable in front of other women than men.
Sue Leeson, QVC's marketing director, says that this poll reaffirms what most people
have already suspected: women love to look their best no matter what.
11.
Women live longer than men- In almost every country around the world, the life expectancy
of women is much higher than men.
Now, this isn't because women magically age slower, but because they are stronger
and healthier at every age.
Men have higher mortality rates, but women have higher rates of physical sickness.
Several factors that might contribute to longevity include the protective effects of estrogen
and effective immune functioning.
In addition, men also tend to exhibit risky behavior.
Plus men are exposed to hazards at work and have higher rates of smoking and alcoholism.
Males drive more aggressively than women as well.
Ladies are more health conscious and seek the proper health care, while men see their
bodies as sources of power and strength and expose them to risks at an earlier age.
10.
Women are better at multitasking- According to an article in the journal BMC Psychology,
women are better multitaskers than men when it comes to juggling a variety of tasks.
Several researchers claim that women might find it easier than their male counterparts
to switch their attention and their brain doesn't need extra mobility to do so.
There's also the factor of really stressful situations which requires a frequent change
in attention.
It is speculated that women are used to balancing numerous tasks at once like household chores
and taking care of the kids.
However, there is no concrete evidence to support this.
9.
Women have wilder dreams- Females have more emotional dreams, more surreal dreams, and
more nightmares than men; and it's all due to hormones.
Research indicates that female hormonal cycles can impact our thoughts.
In fact, women are more likely to experience a nightmare or an emotional dream before they
start their periods.
An analysis from the University of the West of England also claims that alterations in
our body temperature can be a contribution as well.
Other factors like late night snacking, smoking and drinking alcohol are other factors for
bad dreams, but the good news is bad dreams can be prevented.
8.
Smartest female in the world- One of the highest IQ's in the world belongs to author, columnist
and playwright Marilyn vos Savant.
From 1986 to 1989, the Guinness Book of World Records listed her under "highest IQ,"
which gained nationwide attention.
Savant proved her intelligence by taking the Stanford-Binet and the Mega Test.
She scored a 228 on her IQ tests, having taken her first at only ten years old.
Starting in 1986, she began a column on Parade.com called, "Ask Marilyn," where readers submit
puzzles and questions, which she answers.
The most famous question she answered was the Monty Hall problem, which is a challenging
brain teaser that she correctly solved in 1990.
Now at 70 years old, Savant is still headstrong and has written over ten books about the powers
of logical thinking and mathematical mysteries.
7.
Women can only keep a secret for 47 hours- No matter how juicy of a secret it is, women
have a hard time from spilling the beans!
According to Dailymail, in a study of 3,000 women from the ages of eighteen to sixty-five,
at least four in ten women weren't able to keep a secret no how confidential or private
the news was.
More than half of the women stated that drinking alcohol would prompt them to tell other people
about the secret.
Women have said their best friends, mother, husbands and boyfriends would be one of the
first people they'd spill the secret to.
The same study also found out that the average female hears about three segments of gossip
a week and will tell at least one other person.
Three in ten ladies will have the strong urge to pass the secret on to other individuals
in order to "get it off their chest."
But don't worry at least two-thirds of women feel bad after revealing the secret.
The good part is at least 27 percent of people forgot what they were told the next day.
Can you keep a secret?
6.
The first Olympic Games- Women and girls were not allowed at the first Olympics, but the
Games of Hera which were held every four years featured foot races for ladies.
Women weren't even authorized to watch the Olympics at all or permitted to participate
in any athletics, with Spartans being the only exception.
The first Heraean Games dated all the way back to 6th century B.C. and was dedicated
to Hera, who was the Greek goddess of marriage and women.
Herean competitions consisted only of foot races, and the winners donned olive crowns.
Cox or ox meat would be sacrificed to Hera and participants painted portraits of themselves
in the temples.
It was believed during this time, Heraea marked an indication of a pleasant change in social
conditions, reducing limitations on women.
5.
Ladies are better drivers- It's a battle of the sexes!
According to a survey conducted by Privilege Insurance, men were more than likely to make
predictable road mistakes.
Men also overestimated how good their driving was on the road.
When asked if they drove the correct speed limit, 84% of men said they drove accordingly,
while only 64% of them actually complied.
Women are more polite than men while on the road, 39% of women were courteous to other
drivers while only 28% of men actually were.
At least 80% of deadly car accidents are caused by men while women are 27% less likely than
males to cause a car crash.
But regardless of gender, all eyes should be focused on the road at all times!
4.
Women spend almost one year of their lives deciding what to wear- Ladies; we've all
been there.
We've spent countless hours trying to put together the perfect outfit for the night.
But who knew all that time could add up to nearly a year?!
A 2009 study conducted by Matalan clothing discovered that females spend at least 15
minutes in the morning contemplating on what to wear for the day.
After examining survey results extracted from 2,491 women, they deduced that the average
females spend about 287 days just picking clothes.
But on the weeknights, this activity increases to twenty minutes, and when choosing party
attire, it extends to 52 minutes.
The investigation also learned that women would try on at least two outfits in the morning
before selecting the right one.
3.
Ladies talk a lot more- And by a lot, I mean about 20,000 words per day!
That's 13,000 more words than the average guy.
A U.S. study found that women are more talkative than their male counterparts due to higher
levels of "language protein" in the brain.
In a trial, it was discovered that male lab rats had more of this protein called Foxp2
than female lab rats.
Other studies also show that small talk and gossip start at a younger age in girls than
boys.
Girls start to talk earlier and faster and are able to put together sentences at a much
earlier age.
Girls also tend to use a wide range of vocabulary and more variety of sentences.
2.
Women have two brain centers- Two is better than one right?!
Well ladies, you have two brain centers, so go ahead and celebrate!
But wait, what does that mean?
Well the two brain centers specifically control your speech, so this is why women are better
at hearing that men.
Females are able to to hear about twice as many sounds than their male counterparts.
Associate professor Dr. Charles Limb from John Hopkins University told ABC News that
as men age their hearing tends to get worse.
In the same interview nutrition professor Dr. Paul Breslin from Rutgers University added
that women have a slight edge on men in terms of these abilities.
So for all these motives and more, the female is truly amazing.
1.
Women feel more pain- Pain during labor is different for everyone.
Most ladies can agree that carrying a tiny human inside of us for nine months is an amazing
and indescribable feat.
Men would argue that getting hit in the groin is just as painful.
Male testicles are covered with numerous nociceptors, when activated causes high amounts of pain.
Since the testicles are connected to the stomach, it could lead to nausea and vomiting.
On the other hand, childbirth closely resembles this pain but the labor process can extend
to eight hours, accompanied by fatigue, tension and nausea.
So if they're both equally painful, what's the big deal?
Well, studies from the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Journal show that women actually feel
more pain than men because they have more pain receptors that causes them to feel pain.
On average, men have 17 nerve fibers per square centimeter of facial skin while women have
34.
But this also goes to show that pain is subjective depending on the severity.
