Top 5 Arduino Displays - Duration: 6:29.Dear friends welcome back!
In this video I am going to show you my favorite displays for Arduino.
Without any further delay let's get started!
Hey guys, I am Nick and welcome to educ8s.tv a channel that is all about DIY electronics
projects.
I have been uploading YouTube videos about Arduino for the last 2 years and in that time
I have tested many displays.
From the smaller and most inexpensive, to the larger and most expensive like this $60
E-Paper display.
I have reviewed all these displays in this channel and I have built projects with most
of them.
I will post the video reviews of all the displays in links in the description of the video below.
Since I am getting a lot of questions from the viewers of the channel about which display
to use in their projects I thought that it would be a good idea to prepare a video about
this subject.
In this video I will show my 5 favorite displays for Arduino.
I have also posted a detailed article on the same subject on my website at this link.
This article will be updated constantly as I try more displays.
So, let's start with my top 5 displays for Arduino.
This is the 3.5" Color TFT display with ILI9481 driver.
It is a very big display and it offers an impressive resolution, 480x320 pixels and
it can display 65.000 colors!
It comes as shield so it is extremely easy to connect with Arduino.
It works with the Arduino Uno and the Arduino Mega.
Unfortunately it does not work with the faster Arduino Due.
The display also offers an SD card slot at the back so we can use it to store data and
images.
The price of this display is around $11.
The biggest disadvantage of the display is its speed.
Since it offers a big resolution, the 8bit Arduinos struggle to drive it.
Forget animation on this display, displaying and updating text is ok, but bitmaps need
time.
In conclusion, this display is a very easy to use display and it is ideal for beginners.
Additionally you can use this display if you want to add a big display in your project.
If fast refresh rate is not a requirement of your project, this display is a great display
to use!
Next in my list is the 0.96" monochrome OLED display.
It offers a resolution of 128x64 pixels.
I love this display!
It is one of the easiest displays to use with Arduino.
It uses the I2C interface, so we only have to connect 2 wires to make it work.
Since it uses the OLED technology this display is very bright, it has a great contrast and
it has a low power consumption.
The cost of the display is around $6.
I have used this display a lot in the past in many projects.
The only disadvantage of this display is that it is very small, but small size may be a
requirement in some project.
To sum up, this is a great little display ideal for small handheld projects and an easy
display to start with.
Third in my list is the 1.8" Color TFT display with the ST7735 driver.
This was the first color display to use with Arduino and the color display I use the most.
It is inexpensive, it costs around $6, it has a resolution of 160x128 pixels, it can
display 65.000 colors, it offers and SD card slot at the back and it has a great library
support.
It works on every Arduino, it works on Teensy and with the ESP8266 boards!
What else to ask about?
A great display!
In the second place in my list is the 0.96" Color OLED display.
It is a new display on the market and it costs around $11.
It also uses the OLED technology so it is very bright, it has a great contrast and a
low power consumption.
On the other hand the display is small, and it offers a small resolution, only 96x64 pixels.
It uses the SPI interface so we need 8 wires in order to connect it with Arduino.
It works fine with the ESP8266 as well.
I think this display is ideal for handheld projects that require color.
Since the display is very new to the market, I think the price of it will go down soon,
so it will be much more attractive.
By far my favorite display for Arduino is the Nokia 5110 LCD display.
This display is inexpensive, it costs around 3 or 4$, it is very easy to use, it has a
great library support, it is the only display that it is visible under direct sunlight and
it has an extremely low power consumption.
When the display is on, it only needs 0.4mA of current!
I have already built a project with this display that can run on batteries with the display
on for over a year!
I have used this display a lot in the past, and I am sure I am going to use it a lot in
the future.
That's why I bought a lot of them in case I can't buy them anymore.
The only disadvantages of this display is the low resolution which is 84x48 pixels and
that it does not offer color.
To sum up, this display is by far my favorite display for Arduino, and the only one to use
if you need your projects to be battery powered.
This is my personal opinion about the best displays for Arduino.
Of course since each person has different needs, you may have a different favorite display.
I would love to hear about your favorite displays in the comment section below.
Are there any good displays I am missing?
I would love to try them!
Before we go, since this is the last day of the year, I would like to wish you all a happy
new year!
May the New Year bring good health and prosperity to you and your loved ones!
I would also like to thank for your fantastic support and your wonderful messages!
They really mean a lot to me!
Thank you again, have a great New Year and see you next year!

CURRENTLY WATCHING (TV, K-DRAMAS & ANIME) | DECEMBER 2016 [CC] - Duration: 6:13.Hi, everyone! This is Symone from Symone Books
and today I thought I'd talk about what
I've been watching in the month of December
I'm going to be talking about two
American TV shows, two Korean dramas and
two anime that I've been watching. I
think I've only completed two of these
shows in their entirety and I'm still in
the middle of the rest of them.
Let's go ahead and get into it. The first
show that I want to talk about is
Insecure and Insecure is a TV show on HBO
that was created and stars Issa Rae who
created the youtube series, Awkward Black
Girl. I didn't watch all of Awkward Black
Girl but I definitely liked the episodes
that I saw so when I heard that she had
her own HBO show coming out I definitely
want to support her, so I checked it out.
What I really like about Insecure is that
black women are often portrayed in the
media as being very loud, outspoken,
always has a sassy comment or they just end
up being the comic relief, but
Insecure shows that there are lots of
different types of blackness and that
all types of blackness are real and
valid. The episodes are hilarious, but Issa
also always leaves you with something to
think about. I recommend this show for
sure and they recently found out that
they are renewed for a second season so I'm
super excited about that, as well.
The next show I'm going to talk about is This Is
Us and this is a show that I have a
weird relationship with. The first
episode had me caught off-guard because
I didn't see the twist coming and I
really love the way they interweave all
the stories in this show, but I just
can't get over Kate's story arc and how it's
pretty much just about her being fat and
because she's fat she's unhappy with
herself, she's unhappy with life and she
has no confidence and all this other
stuff that the media tries to shove in
your face every time there's a fat
character on television. NEWS FLASH: all
fat people aren't unhappy with themselves.
I watched three episodes but I've heard from
others that down the line, the representation
doesn't get much better so I'm really
between a rock and a hard place. I'm not
sure if I should continue watching it or
not or if I really even want to continue
watching it or not, but I'll think about
it. Now moving on to the K-Dramas and the
first one I'm going to mention here is Goblin.
Goblin stars one of my favorite Korean
actors, Gong Yoo.
And the story begins back during the
Joseon Dynasty where he is depicted
as a well-respected general. The
cinematography in this show is
absolutely amazing but I was
particularly blown away by the
cinematography for the fighting scenes
in episode one.
I don't want to give away too many plot
details so I'll just tell you the main
plot line that, like, sort of drives the
show. We have Kim Shin who is played by
Gong Yoo and he is cursed to be
immortal until the end of time unless he
finds The Goblin Bride. He will know who
The Goblin Bride is because she will be
the only one who can see the sword
coming out of his chest.
The Goblin Bride is also the only person
who can pull out the sword and only once
the sword has been pulled out can he
die and rest in peace.
So we can already tell from the premise
that this is going to be a tragic love
story because, like, he finds his
Goblin Bride and she has to be the
one to kill him...?
I've seen five episodes so far and I'm
really enjoying it. The only thing that I
will say about this drama is that I feel
like they have scenes that go on for a
bit too long. If you've ever watched a
Korean drama you know that there might
be a scene where a guy and a girl just
like stare at each other. All dramas do
this, but I feel like Goblin does it just
a bit too long -- like to the point where
becomes kind of lowkey awkward, but
aside from that I'm really enjoying it
so far and I can't wait to see what
happens next.
The next drama that I want to talk about
is Age of Youth and I think that I'm
enjoying this one more than Goblin. This
is a cable drama meaning that it doesn't
air on any of the big three networks
and it doesn't have any superstar actors
in it, but it doesn't really need them. In
fact, I think it's a good thing that it
doesn't have any superstar actors
because I think it would really take
away from the authentic feel that this
drama has. This drama is about five
college-aged girls and the trials and
tribulations they go through. There's
lots of great female friendship in it
and it's really refreshing to watch a
drama that isn't just leading up to a
guy and a girl getting together. Dramas
are often really glamorized and things
occur in them that wouldn't actually
really happen in real life, but in this
drama, those five girls feel like real
people that you might know in your
actual life and the things they are going
through are super relatable. I'm really
enjoying it so far and I can't wait to
finish it. Now moving on to the anime.
First up is the anime that the entire
universe has been screaming about --
Yuri on Ice! I'm not really sure
whether to call
it a sports anime because I've seen
people saying that it's really a slice
of life with sports in it, but whatever
the case, it doesn't matter because it's
amazing and everyone should watch it. I'm
not really into sports, but ever since I
was little
the one sport that I really never minded
watching was ice skating and I was
blown away by how well they were able to
animate the skating in this anime. It's
also really amazing that this show was
able to have two boys as a couple and
not automatically have the Yaoi tag
slapped on there. I believe there's going
to be a season 2 and like everyone else
I'm really excited about it. Hopefully it
doesn't take too long to come out. And
lastly, I'm going to be talking about my
favorite thing that I watched this month
and that is Tanaka-Kun is Always Listless.
This anime is 12 episodes and I've
actually already watched this entire
show twice and I can see myself watching
it again soon.
Some people probably think this is just
an okay anime, which is fine, but this anime
really ticks all my boxes so I
personally really love it. It's slice of
life, which is my favorite. The music used
is really great,
it's funny without being over-the-top
and it, overall, just has a super
relaxing and calming vibe. That's how I
watched it twice already because I like
to watch an episode or two after work to
kind of relax and wind down. To be
listless means that you lack energy or
enthusiasm and Tanaka-Kun is, indeed,
always listless. He's always trying to
make sure that he doesn't have to do
anything that requires too much energy
or be involved in anything that requires
him to do too much. It can be hard for
Tanaka to function sometimes because
he's just so tired but he always has his
best friend, Oota, around to help him out.
If you like slice of life anime, I
definitely think you should give this
one a shot.
So those are all the notable shows that I
watch this month. If you watched any of
these let me know in the comments or if
you have suggestions for shows I should
watch based off of these, let me know
that below, as well. Thank you so much for
watching, make sure you subscribe and
I'll see you in my next video. BYE~

Reptil TV - Folge 98 - Verona Reptiles Börse Italien 2016 - Duration: 23:09.Hello, Reptile TV community and welcome to a new episode.
It is now Saturday morning. In the background my car packed to the brim.
We are on our way to la bella Italia, to Verona Reptiles.
This is the first time that I've been to this trade fair. It is the largest reptile trade fair in Italy.
As I said the first time, we're trying it out on a small scale.
The car is absolutely full, but luckily it has a large tailgate.
In this case we're not taking a van as we do when we go to Hamm.
We are taking a small selection - a few animals and some accessories.
We want to have a look at the trade fair and you can come with us.
Have fun and ciao Italia.
Here's a quick look at what is needed.
In there are my high-heeled boots, which I take to every trade fair.
They make you look taller behind the table. That is a tip worth taking, for insiders.
Everything has been packed into the car. And here is my camera kid, Stella. And off we go!
No matter how lovely the route, there is a traffic jam on the next stretch.
We have to leave our beautiful Southern Germany and drive straight though the Alps
to reach Italy. We are now in Austria heading towards Innsbruck.
On one hand, a tedious stretch, where you can only do 130. In places there is a lot of traffic.
On the other hand, there is a super panoramic view straight through the Alps.
Really lovely scenery.
We have arrived! Incredible but true!
This is where it all happens and first of all, check-in.
It has been really well organised here. I'll take you on a quick tour.
Here we have flamingos - incredible, but that's the Italians for you!
Over there is the event organiser.
You know the Italians; they do everything a bit better, more spectacularly.
They really know how to make things go with a swing.
This is the event organiser, Francesco.
Stefan: Nice to meet you.
Robby: Hello Stefan, welcome to Italy.
Perhaps you remember.
Stefan: How many years since we met in Daytona?
Perhaps you remember that we met these two in Daytona 3-4 years ago?
Stefan: And you said free spaghetti all three days, right ?
Robby: So we will have a dinner for us tonight.
Last time we met, we had great fun and said that when we come here
there would be free spaghetti every day.
Here we are. :)
We have had a bit of a laugh, for the manager is showing where our table number is
and we said, "Frank from Hamm, Frank Izaber Terraristika."
He's still doing it; he takes each person personally to the table, that's quite a job.
This leads into the second hall.
Earlier we saw the entrance hall and this is the big exhibition hall proper.
Gosh, I am impressed! This really is a big event.
There's Robby, waving to us.
Yes, this is a really big section.
And it extends even further back over there.
I thought this would be a cosy little Italian market.
This part is really huge.
Good morning, it is now Sunday morning.
It is shortly before nine and the trade fair is about to open its doors.
Like all trade fairs, a crowd of people have already come in before the official start.
I am really excited; there are really interesting exhibitors here.
I think this is really cool.
Later I will take you round and show you what there is.
Now I am making a tour of the exhibition.
Let's see what we can find.
First of all, a brief glimpse of our own lovely stand.
Unfortunately, too many people just here.
It is incredible what you can pack into a car, if you really want to.
The fair is already really packed with visitors, there's no lack of people.
It' absolutely full, there are even a few families here,
who are just looking, but there are also lots of terrarium owners.
I am pleasantly surprised.
Here we have the garter snake breeder.
He has a good selection of garter snakes, not bad.
Interesting.
I had not heard of Thamnophis proximus.
Incredible.
Thamnophis eques virgatenuis.
I am not really a fan of garter snakes,
but here you have everything to do with garter snakes.
He is so pleased with his garter snakes, that he is taking photos of them.
All in all, you see a large number of tortoises at the trade fair.
Marginata Sardinia.
Here, of course, they have the perfect husbandry conditions.
All testudos are as smooth as a baby's bottom.
Now, you can wonder whether they are so smooth, because these animals
can be kept in perfect conditions here, because of the climate.
Let's just assume that this is correct,
but I do think that they are not as smooth as those in their natural habitat.
This is an indication that they were born in captivity.
Here you can see crowds of people.
Let's see what there is to see here.
Any amount of lovely big chameleons.
Various Piebald calyptratus
Various Panther chameleons
That has been well done, I must say.
Here the Rhacodactylus corner is just as well set up.
I also want to show you this selection of Cilliatus.
These are made from snakeskin.
That is to say, from the sloughed skin the animals shed during moulting.
So, no snake had to die to produce these.
All you need is the sloughs, like the one she is showing us.
You just collect the moulted sloughs and turn them into pretty jackets.
The best thing about it, in my opinion, is that no snake has had to die.
In the truest sense of the word, the snakes have lost their shirts to it,
but not their skins or their lives. I think that is a really good idea.
Now we're leaving the hall.
The Italians are giving la dolce vita their full attention.
And they are right. Despite the overcast sky, the temperature is a pleasant 22-23 degrees.
Outside here everyone is eating, drinking and having fun.
The laid-back atmosphere is typical for a trade fair like this one.
Pleasant atmosphere, the people and the organisers are extremely friendly.
Here is the DJ table, where the mixing is done.
And here are the Italian nibbles.
Now I'll take you back again into the large hall.
Here is SM-Reptilien.de. He has simply inverted our initials.
I may be repeating myself, but the Italians always have some style and taste.
Of course, not always and you can see that everywhere, but you can
see many stands, which are really well done.
Here is Testudo Marginata with its range.
Really lovely black Marginatas.
Of course, any amount of accessories. Here we have lovely roots, from the tea tree, I think.
"Grilli Gratis per Reptili", so if you buy a reptile you get the cage free.
Not a bad idea.
Lovely pogonas here.
What have we got here ... maize ... coloured maize or what?
Cultivated maize in bright colours.
You can buy it as seeds. Interesting, you can buy seed stores here.
I think you can get quite a good impression of the size from here.
Of course, this is nothing like the size of the fair in Hamm, but this trade fair is definitely not small.
It has to be said, it is large and well organised.
I think that this sets a real trend in southern Europe.
Here we have a couple of lovely condros.
About the same price as we would pay at home, I'd say. €320 for one condro.
Those are normal German prices.
Black reptiles originally from Hungary, but there are also many in Italy.
Herpitalia, any amount of boxes and stuff such as soil substrate.
Judging from the T-shirts this is the trade fair organiser.
Here we have an old acquaintance, Dottore Johnny Lucero.
He's been breeding reptiles for ever.
He must have been in business for 20 years now.
Here is the Polaschek company from Vienna.
Mr. Polaschek senior must have been in business for 30 years now.
This is his son, Martin
I would even say that the Polaschek family is a terrarium dynasty.
Martin: More than 30 years now.
Stefan: It must be.
Lovely Regius.
People like being filmed.
Here we are, outside once more.
The air is a definite improvement.
The only problem here is ... look at the beer stand!
Here we have good, Italian draught beer and that, unfortunately, is the queue.
The only fly in the ointment. I must see, if I can find a back door,
so that I can buy a beer, before I return to our stand.
Oh, I take it all back. Here is the via della Birra.
And the queue is bearable.
I can sacrifice 5 minutes to it.
One more quick look around the entrance hall.
Here is the T-shirt merchandising, from baby sizes to large.
Bandana, maglia, bimbo.
There are T-shirts here for all sizes.
There are the flamingos we saw yesterday.
Yesterday we saw that the whole affair has been
organised tastefully, with entertainment in mind.
Here we have large sulcatas, €95 - €1200 for the females.
Once more the large Marginatas
Sulcata elegance
And to return quickly to my stand.
I hope Stella has sold out of everything.
Ah, there is something I must show you. Look at this little fellow.
A ferret on a lead, that is almost Japanese standard,
having a ferret on a lead.
OK, now let's see whether I'll get the rest of my snakes sold.
I'll now send off my camera kid, Stella.
She is going to film what there is in the rodent room.
As an allergy sufferer, I send Stella.
I will now show you the best bit of the trade fair.
That is our mates, customers and reptile acquaintances,
who bring us a bottle of wine. That is the real highlight of the trade fair.
We have not sold a lot, but here is a bottle of wine and everything is OK.
The fair is coming to an end. Here they are taking the final photo of the whole team.
Italians, it's as if they had just won the World Cup.
The flamingos
Stefan: I say it's like you won the World Championship in soccer today.
Francesco: Yes, yes, yes.
He and Fillipo are the event organisers.
Robby as well; he is the little boss.
So the three of them - Robby, Fillipo and Francesco.
They are the bosses.
Stefan: For you how was the show ?
It was good; we are very happy.
Stefan: Thank you and see you next time.
Thank you Stefan. Ciao.
The fair is reaching its end; my camera kid, Stella is filming the hares and rabbits.
We are almost through. We will soon be packing up together.
Here we have a couple of children, who want to hold a snake.
I don't think it is usually allowed at trade fairs, but the girl really wanted to
hold a snake.
It has been lovely here in Italy. We have met nice people on our first visit
to Italy. It is certainly worth making the journey.
Not a gigantic, international trade fair like Hamm, but really cosy and relaxed.
So stay loyal and check out my films and check out Italy. Till next time!

What a pity that at the end of the story
The wind blows
The tides rise and fall
From now on I will never find my heart beating the same way again
You have been imprinted deep on my heart and bones
From now on I won't be there to walk with you through the end
Let go, I am really not sad
From now on I will remember in this endless world
The you who I once loved with courage
Till I was left to taste loneliness on my own
We learn to treasure only after losing each other
Behind the sunset
The moon silently climbed up to the night sky
The road back home
Who is there waiting for you?

10 Popular TV Shows With Mistakes They Can't Hide From! - Duration: 5:03.TV has come a long way since its conception.
Original programing is now competing with big blockbuster films in terms of budgets
and fandoms.
Despite the amazing cast and crews behind some of these hit television shows, the occasional
mistake can slip by without anyone noticing until it's too late.
Give us a like if you never noticed these 10 mistakes in big TV shows!
Friends In the episode "the one where Ross finds
out", Rachel learns that Ross and Julie are going to be getting a cat.
Between the shots however, something vanished and reappeared without the crew noticing.
In one shot, Rachel can be seen without a necklace yet after the action returns to her,
she is without said necklace.
Cut back to her and she has magically produced a necklace only to have it missing again in
her next shot.
The Simpsons Fun fact: continuity errors can even make
their way into animation, even one of the most popular animated programs of all time.
In the very first Simpsons episode "Christmas special: Simpsons roasting on an open fire",
Bart, Millhouse and Lewis can be seen on the balcony leaning in looking at the mall Santa
(who just happens to be Homer).
When Bart leaves, the cut shows Millhouse and Lewis, who has unexpectedly changed races
from African American to Caucasian.
How I met your mother It happens on a TV series that runs for seasons
on end that the writers may end up forgetting the smallest details that they mentioned years
ago.
This was the case on How I met your mother, where it was stated in season 5 that Lily
and Marshall have been using the same toothbrush ever since they've been together.
Yet in the season 1 episode "zip zip zip," Lily and Marshall are shown brushing their
teeth with individual toothbrushes.
Game of Thrones Game of Thrones is arguably one of the biggest
and greatest TV shows to have ever been produced.
Despite its monster production costs, even the occasional mistake will inevitably slip
its way into the final product.
Case in point the episode titled "The Pointy End".
Eagled eyed fans will noticed that ironically, there is a Kingsguard on the right side of
the frame in the red keep trying very hard without much success to sheath his sword.
It's with the pointy end man.
Gilmore Girls Fans rejoiced when Netflix revealed the beloved
show would return on their network, causing immediate binges of the previous season to
fuel their excitement.
But did anyone notice the continuity error in the episode "red light on the wedding
night"?
At Luke's place, Lorelai, Rory and Max are all having breakfast and having some coffee
to go with.
Look closely and you'll notice that the coffee cups go from red to blue between shots.
Also worth pointing out that Max's coffee cup likes to travel across the table, going
from the left side to the right side of his placemat.
Family guy Sometimes artists and directors come up with
multiple shot designs to choice from in the final cut but might accidently mix up those
concepts in the final cut.
This is evident in the Family Guy episode "and the wiener is" when Peter is driving
down the road to the tunnel.
In three different shots, the white painted lines on the road go from broken to totally
gone to being a solid straight line.
Buffy the vampire slayer Who's that person there?
Every now and again, both in film and on television, the action may get frantic enough that it
just gets too demanding for the crew to micromanage every meticulous detail.
This happened in the fifth season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, in the episode "This
Year's Girl" when Buffy and Faith got into a fight and tumbled down the stairs.
In the initial runs of the episode, the camera man responsible for the following reaction
shot can actually be seen in frame to the left of the staircase.
Got a little too close their buddy!
Game of Thrones Episode 9 of any season of Game of Thrones
is known to be the big one, where the chances of character deaths or major revelations come
to light.
Perhaps with all the action going on we as fans failed to notice a huge chance for Danerys
between the events of episode 9 and 10.
In the amphitheatre during the coordinated attack by the sons of harpy, Dany can be seen
wearing a long elegant white gown yet in the following episode, dirt aside, we can tell
Dany is wearing a slightly different outfit that isn't as regal or as long as per previous
dress.
Other modifications include her shoulder pieces and the visibility of her boots.
I guess she has a secret stash of clothes just hiding out in Essos.
Breaking Bad Considered to be one of the greatest shows
ever made, Breaking Bad can be excused when it makes an error.
The show was known for tossing in pop culture and news events into its narrative but creator
Vince Gilligan jumped the gun in the fifth season when the death of Osama bin Laden was
pointed out almost a year too early as the show's timetable put the fifth season in
2010, while bin Laden was killed in 2011.
Gilligan would later admit to his mistake, but since this is Breaking Bad, we can let
this one go.
Westworld The monster hit debut of 2016, Westworld flooded
the internet with crazy theories and appreciation for weeks.
While everyone was debating what could and could not be real, they may have noticed a
few mistakes slip through the cracks.
Westworld wasted no time in this matter, having a continuity error slip past us in the first
episode.
When Evan Rachel Wood's Delores emerges from the shop across the street from Maeve's,
we see two gentlemen standing right next to her.
A quick reaction shot to Teddy is shown before the action cuts back to Delores, only this
time; she is now in the presence of a single gentleman with a tophat.
There really is a glitch in the matrix!
Those are our picks for the 10 mistakes in big tv shows you never noticed.
