Youtube daily but May 26 2017

Hey, what's up?

John Sonmez here from simpleprogrammer.com.

I got a question or this is somewhat of a statement but it was titled "Fantastic First

Job but Horrible Benefits."

This question is from anonymous.

Anonymous writes me a lot.

He says here, "Your videos and Soft Skills book have helped me get my first job!"

That's cool.

"Thank you so much.

In short, I have a fantastic first job!"

All right, that's good.

I'm happy about that.

"With great environment and people.

I'm being taught so much and think for my education nothing could be a better opportunity.

I did as best as I could with salary (not great but focus was getting in field first)."

Good, okay.

"The problem?"

There's always a problem, right?

"The benefits: expensive health insurance" so he has expensive health insurance, "3 PTO

days, 2 sick, 5 holidays, don't offer remote work days.

How should I plan my future there?"

Here's the thing.

Let me point you to a chapter in my new book called The Complete Software Developer's Career

Guide.

You can get it here.

Actually, you can get it free and then I'll be launching this.

By the time you're watching this maybe it will be launched already, but I do have a

chapter in there on negotiating on salary contract versus salary employment and what

the difference is.

That math in there, I'm not going to go over in this video in detail, but you want to check

that out to be able to understand what I'm about to say here to really break this down

if you want more info.

But essentially it comes down to this.

I don't care about benefits at all and neither should you, because benefits are just dollars.

When it comes down to it, if you say that the company that you're working for has an

expensive health care plan, okay, fine but you realize that the health care is just dollars.

If you had 100% coverage, if you had a great health care plan like if you work for a Google

or Microsoft where they give employees 100% coverage, that's just dollars that they're

not paying you salary.

IF I have a choice, honestly, I would rather take a job with zero benefits and just—and

I just say, "Give me the money.

Just give me the money.

I don't want your free sodas.

I don't want your—don't pay for my health care.

I'll take care of that myself.

Don't give me vacation or any of that.

Just give me the money.

I'll take days off without pay.

Give me the money."

This should be your mantra, "Give me the money."

When you go into a job interview say, "Give me the money."

I kid, but honestly that's what it can equate to is it's always going to be down to the

dollars.

A lot of times it does make sense to be a contractor because you're seeing the money

upfront, but when you compare a contract and a salary job you've got to look at benefits.

You just take those benefits and you equivalate them to dollars, to what is the money and

that's what it's actually worth.

Sometimes people put too much stock and too much value into benefits which really just

comes down to dollars.

I mean, honestly, you can translate any benefit.

There's no benefit, really, that a company can give you that you can't buy on your own.

Yet, if a company says, "Hey, one of the benefits for employees is that you can have free sodas.

Whatever you want.

Everyday we have a refrigerator and it's stocked with sodas Snicker bars and you can just take

any soda or Snicker bar that you want."

You're like, "Oh, oh, that's—gosh!

That's such a great benefit.

I'll take that job."

You take a job that pays you 10K less a year because you get free sodas.

That's just dumb.

That's stupid because you're not equating things correctly.

Why am I getting into this?

Because in your case here, in this case, in the case of Mr. Anonymous, you've got an excellent

job.

You're in a learning environment.

Maybe your pay is not as great as you'd like.

You've got great coworkers.

This is your first job.

Don't worry about the benefits right now, just worry about the pay.

Eventually you'll take another job and maybe it will have better benefits, maybe it won't.

It doesn't matter.

Ultimately though when you start looking at it in terms of pay, that's what you really

need to look at at the bottom line here, and then also the opportunity.

If you have a chance to—I say this all the time, but if you have a choice between responsibility

or pay, you could basically see this opportunity, learning environment or pay, choose responsibility,

opportunity, learning environment.

Those things are going to pay off more in the long run.

If you're going to gain valuable experience, if you're going to be in a better position,

then the money will eventually come.

Don't worry about that right away.

That makes sense to you, right?

That's why I say, "Don't worry about the benefits.

Don't stress about this."

Don't compare yourself to Jane and Joe over there who have 3 weeks of paid vacation.

You're in a good environment.

You've got a good job.

Maybe your pay isn't where it needs to be, but you can fix that later on.

Learn as much as you can.

If you feel like you're stagnating and you feel like you're not growing anymore, that's

totally different.

Then maybe get another job or get your pay bumped up and work on that, but if you're

in a good environment in all those other areas, then hey, just because you don't have the

best benefits that doesn't matter that much.

It all equivalates down to pay.

You've just got to remember that.

Otherwise you get tricked, psychological tricked.

Like I said, it can seem like such a better job because they have a cafeteria where you

can eat wherever you want and they comp it, but that's just like—what is that worth?

That's like worth $15 a day maybe or if you're really going to—or it actually might be

a bad thing because now you're going to feel like you've got all this free food so you're

going to eat a whole bunch of junk over there and you're going to gain a whole bunch of

weight so that you can use $30 a day worth of free food.

Ridiculous!

Break it down.

Look at the monetary.

Look at the opportunity.

Don't be fooled by the glitz and the glamour and all the benefits because that doesn't

really matter.

It always comes down to the buck, so give me the money.

All right, if you liked this video, click that Subscribe button below.

If you've got a comment on this, I definitely like to hear your input if you have a similar

experience or you've made this decision before or if you've got shitty benefits, go ahead

and write your shitty benefits down below.

I'll talk to you next time.

Take care.

CHRONIQUE #5. Le Drapeau Noir ALESTORM - No Grave But The Sea (ENGLISH SUBTITLES) - Duration: 10:57.

Year 1717... North of Atlantic.

~300 years after the end of the golden age of piracy...

AHOi ! Humans...

Tell me you've got some beers ?

CHECK !

Do we know each other ?

i'm you... 300 years ago.

Oh wow... What a horrible outfit !

You know we are on viking's ground, right ?

Ahaha... ViKINGS !!!

Look !

Here is some ham.

Anyway...

Ladies and gentlemen...

Filthy human...

Lousy person...

And adventurers !

TAKE OUT THE BLACK FLAGS !

Wealth and glory awaits you ! ;)

"STUPID FRENCH ACCENT"

Let me tell you the story... Marvelous, splendid and epic of these sailors.

Wealth, fame and power.

The man who had achieved everything in life, like none before him, was the pirate king... Gol D.Roger !

WRONG SCENARIO !!!

I personally like stories coming from Japan with tentacles...

... Kraken ... ;)

Alestorm is a Scottish quintet...

Ooooooh Scotland hmm... <3

... Whose reputation is equaled only by his Pirate/Metal...

... Festive and absolutely EPIC !

Initialy named "Battleheart" at its creation in 2004...

... The group is renamed "Alestorm" after signing with label "Napalm Records".

And there have been many sailors in this band... Yeap' !

Anyway... We'll not going into the details of mass.

5 studio albums in there discography...

Captain Morgan's Revenge in 2008.

Black Sails At Midnight in 2009.

Back Through Time in 2011.

Ow yeah... I love this one...

He reminds me parts of my story.

Oh, really ?

Singing... oup's ! I mean "trying to sing" "Back Through Time"... In a different way.

OK! Following this way, the band continue with "Sunset On The Golden Age" in 2014.

Not their best album but... There are cult songs inside °_°

Holy sh°t ! Painful memories with these songs...

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes...

OK ! Time to stop this nostalgic parenthesis.

ALESTORM ! ...

... Open sails,

Drop the new beast !

Just, look at this crazy artwork !

Yiiiiieah !

I think we find the same spirit of the art than their 3 first albums... With this kind of pirate ghost, coming from nowhere.

My great great great-father...

... This cunt is indestructible !

Blue colors are beautiful... And the design is modern, also perfectly realised.

It's funny... It reminds me of "Harry Potter part 4" and the second task in the lake.

You right, i'm completely high. :D

Here we go... The container already gave me a boner...

It's time to reveal the content, yeap !

if you're curious, you already have listen the 2 first songs of their last album revealed by the band.

Alestorm and Mexico !

And fucking hell... This is festive !

But i was perplexed...

Please, not only festive songs ! We need epicness and battles... PLEASE! :'(

And yeah... Because Pirate/Metal...

It's heavy shots of cannon fi... BOOM!

Headphones wasn't a great idea you know ? :D

... And violence full of DISGUSTING bodies odors...

I smell good...

So, we begin the album and here... The eponymous song introduce the Scottish treasure !

I was so wrong... Fucking shit ! It start really epicly and violently as hell... Oh yeah !

And that chorus... :o

OK! OK! OK!...

The album just started and we already have a future cult... YES! YES! YES!

The keyboard is really highlighted. Majestic effects accentuate the Epic/Barbarian side of the song.

"To The End of The World" is approximately in the same register, along with violent parts of screaming...

... And a double bass really omnipresent.

And i will not hesitate to say... It strangely reminds me of "POWERWOLF" cause of guitars and heavy clear voices.

Extreme comparison ? Well, that's true...

... But i'm on the great internet, i do what i want ! :D

WEEEEELL...

... We've got some festive !

We have some real technical/Epic parts. ouch... :'(

It only miss songs you can appreciate while drinking and singing with friends... In a tavern !

"Man The Pumps"...

And... BAR...UND... IMBISS ! ( Epic pronunciation as always ! )

" Which according to my lack of culture of the German language...

"would meaaaaaaan..."

"A bar and a snack."

"Thanks Google Translate... :D"

... Will give some work to all locals bartenders !

Chorus in these 2 songs will really be a must have to listen during a live venue of Alestorm.

Except this !

"Rage Of The Pentahook" is a little bit closer of the construction and sonorities of the cult song "Shipwrecked", out in 2011.

"Mexico" begin as the same way than "1741..." With these Retro-Sonorities like !

No worries Mexico...

... For your tacos and tequila... We'll come by the oceans !

A wall will NEVER enclose you !

Eponymous song of the band... So "Alestorm"...

... Reach the same level of happiness and non-sobriety ( It's a sarcasm of course ) than the song "Drink".

... More festive...

And with dwarves...

"Laughing"...

There's a funny song... Typically like a Scottish/Folk song who's called "Fucked With An Anchor"...

BUT !

I was really scared before listening this song... Was thinking it would be a cover of Cannibal Corpse with "Fucked With A Knife"...

But no...

Sh°t ! Hopefully it didn't happened ! x)

And for close the album... The LOOOOOOOONG song of eight minutes " Treasure Island "...

Make you swim in a mythical atmosphere with different sonorities and varieties of technics behind each instruments.

A bit like the song "Death Throes of The Terrorsquid", out in 2011.

Please, excuse my pronunciation ! :(

AHOI !

50 minutes approximately, chrono !

So...?

Ooooh you know for me it's just like opera or traditional music...

Oh, more deeply (-18 :D) than this please...

Alestorm absolutely doesn't change his direction...

But contrary, increase his cruise's speed until overtaking his last ship "Sunset On The Golden Age".

And at the same time reunite with their 3 first ships... Whose are absolutely BADASS !

EPICNESS!

RYTHM!

HUMOR!

HAPPINESS...PARTY !

ALCOHOL! :D

THIS IS ALESTORM !

GOODBYE SAILORS ! ... AOuCH :'(

"What a beautiful ship, going through the golden age of piracy..."

..."Who's take us on the paths of adventure and wealth."

"These FREE MENS ! Thanking the piracy..."

"... Are looting ships, slaves of empires ! "

"SLAUGHTER the seas !"

"Live free with the wind."

"GO FIGHT ! ... Master the oceans ! ..."

"... That the law be made... "

"BY THE SYMPHONY OF CANNONS !!! ..."

LET'S DROP SOME LEAD ON THOSE MOTHER...

... FIRE !!!!!!!!!!!

Charlotte Riley plays Kate Middleton in BBC's King Charles III – but does Meghan Markle feature? - Duration: 3:20.

Charlotte Riley plays Kate Middleton in BBC's King Charles III but does Meghan Markle

feature?

As the 100m Netflix series The Crown has swept the world with its depiction of Queen

Elizabeth II's early reign in its first season, it appears television producers have caught

the regal-drama bug.

The British Royal family will be portrayed on screen yet again in King Charles III, a

one-off drama for BBC2.

It is written by Doctor Foster creator Mike Bartlett and is based on his Olivier Award-winning

play of the same name.

It envisions an alternate future where Prince Charles ascends to the throne following The

Queen's death.

Unlike the first season of The Crown so far, Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge will be

featured in this royal drama and will be played by Peaky Blinders actress Charlotte Riley.

The lead role of King Charles will be played by Tim Pigott-Smith as Oliver Chris stars

as Prince William, and Richard Goulding plays Prince Harry.

Margot Leicester stars as Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall and Adam James of Doctor Foster

takes on the role as the "future" Prime Minister Tristram Evans.

Harry's new girlfriend, Suits actress Meghan Markle, does not feature in the script despite

the Prince confirming the seriousness of their five-month romance in an official statement

via Kensington Palace on Tuesday (8 November); denouncing the media over harassing the actress

and her family.

King Charles III is written in blank verse as the fictional story sees the new monarch

refuse to sign a controversial bill into law.

This results in political chaos, a constitutional crisis, rioting on the streets and a tank

sat outside Buckingham Palace.

Charles wrestles with his own identity as the drama explored the implications for him

and the rest of the royal family, along with his subjects.

Riley who has been married to Hollywood actor Tom Hardy since 2014 has revealed

that she is "really excited" to join the cast and looks forward to playing Middleton in

the poignant drama.

The 34-year-old said: "I'm really excited to come on board King Charles III, Mike Bartlett

and Rupert Goold are two brilliant creatives.

"It's such a unique project, to be both modern and rich in verse and to play someone who

is real but yet totally re-imagined for this story, is an exciting prospect for an actor.

"Kate Middleton is a really interesting woman, particularly within the context of this play,

and it is a challenge I am really looking forward to."

Pigott-Smith also commented on the exciting new show, claiming that it was important that

the play, which also transferred to Broadway, was filmed.

He said: "It is a drama about us, now, who we are, and the relevance of our monarchy.

Television gives it an important democratic voice."thanks for watching.

아임 쏘리 강남구 109회 I am Sorry but i Love You Ep 109 - Duration: 31:55.

You seem to have been out somewhere as well...

at this late hour.

Care to guess where I was?

Did you look into it?

Is Nam Koo really the biological son?

No, it was all a lie.

Your mom must've been desperate...

to have told such a far-fetched lie.

They knew I'd act irrationally,

so they set up a trap.

(Nam Hui Auto Shop)

I'm sorry.

I didn't expect anything like this would happen.

You're the one who proposed.

Seeing how you are now, I should immediately accept it.

You said so yourself...

that there's a reason we met.

I haven't a clue though.

The story of the car washing prince and princess.

We'll have to wait and see how that one ends.

So this is where you were. Why didn't you answer your phone?

I was worried since you ran out after Ms. Hong's call.

Is this why you ran out all of a sudden?

I honestly didn't know.

I'm sorry for interrupting.

That's not it, Mom. Anyway, I'm going home now.

Thank you, Mo Ah.

It reassures me to know that you're by his side.

Please be good to him.

I'm sorry for risking Nam Koo even for one second.

Marriage.

I can't believe she used it to set me at ease.

I'll do everything I can to find the biological son,

so just hang in there.

It's rude to leave when someone enters.

The sight of you makes me fear for CEO Shin's safety.

Don't wander around so late. You startled me last night.

Were you disappointed that it wasn't Nam Koo?

I won't be so kind next time.

In what aspect were you kind?

If it weren't for Nam Koo, you'd be in jail by now.

Is that how it is?

So whose plan was it?

My mom? Nam Koo?

No, it was you. I know you hate my guts,

but how could you use Nam Koo?

I believed him to be the son.

He is.

If he were, you'd never risk his life like that.

Consider yourself lucky.

How is he?

The same, of course.

What was that last night?

Were you really willing to die?

I took Nam Koo's place for your sake.

It's more like you did it for his.

If only Nam Koo had been hit as planned.

Were you that desperate?

Why meddle then?

How long do I have to put up with a fake son?

Let's...

try again.

If you're worried about Nam Koo, I'll find someone else.

We can't. Do Hoon knows what we were up to.

Then persuade Nam Koo again.

I'll fabricate the DNA test result...

and have everyone believe he's my son.

Being a fraud, Do Hoon will fall for it.

See what he did to my husband.

What are you talking about?

Hui Joo...

I asked you a question. How is Do Hoon a fraud?

Well, you see...

Tell me before I completely lose it.

Director Jeong, it's Shin Do Hoon.

Have you not found my uncle yet?

Sure, I'll call you back.

Come on in and have a seat.

I was meaning to talk to you.

You wanted to go to Africa,

so I thought I'd make it happen.

What about Dad?

I'll look after him, and so will Mom.

I'm just looking out for you.

So it's true.

What do you mean?

My real brother wouldn't ship me off to Africa right now.

You piece of scum.

You worthless animal.

Even a dog wouldn't be this barbaric.

What did my dad do to you? What did he ever do?

You're right.

Not even a dog would be this way.

But an orphan can.

I can take being abandoned one,

but twice I couldn't.

Abandoned thrice you'll kill my mom.

And the next time, you'll kill Mo Ah.

That's why you're nothing but a piece of garbage.

I guess you're right.

I'm sorry.

No wonder I didn't feel a bond.

No wonder you didn't seem like my brother.

No wonder I hated your guts.

No wonder...

I pitied you.

You better pray that my dad doesn't die.

Because if he does, I'll come after you myself.

Do you have two lives or something?

I heard you promised my dad you'd find my real brother.

If you die in the hands of Do Hoon,

my dad wouldn't be able to rest in peace.

I understand that my mom can't be helped,

but you should've at least stopped Mo Ah.

I'm sorry. I was so desperate that I came up with such a plan.

Don't lie to me for I know it was Mo Ah's idea.

My mom probably egged her on.

Please don't stoop to her level.

I can't see anyone else get hurt because of her.

Please.

What if I fooled Do Hoon as the son?

I have the scar on my arm, so I can lure him to...

Sure, you should do that.

I knew something was off.

Why did you have to make a mess of things?

This was Mo Ah's idea.

She used you to try and have me sent to prison.

She just took your place instead.

- Why? - Because she loves you.

You dying would be a loss.

I'm sure she felt sorry. That's the kind of person she is.

So why meddle in my life?

Because of you, now Hui Joo knows.

Why are you so smug?

You should apologize for almost running over a person,

but you seem to have no shame.

This isn't why I taught you how to drive.

When I'm less busy, I should teach you again.

To drive the right way.

(Director Jung Mo Ah)

How's Hui Joo?

She told me that you were the mastermind.

- Yes, she's right. - Why stop?

Why stop and not use me until the very end?

It's because...

I love you.

That's not it. This isn't who you are.

You wouldn't do this no matter how desperate you are.

No, I can. I most certainly can but...

No, you can't. I know you too well.

There's another reason.

Don't think about lying to me that Ms. Hong blackmailed you.

No, there's no other reason.

Tell me before I completely lose it.

Mother...

had Jae Min's urn removed.

She said he was an evil spirit and that I had to take him.

I guess that drove me crazy. I'm sorry.

How can we live under the same roof?

Let's call the police.

Why let them get away with what they did to Dad?

We don't have any proof.

Anyway, we can't force them to leave yet.

Why not?

Do Hoon has a copy of my slush fund ledger.

I don't care what happens to me, but what about you...

and your dad?

I have to stay put until your dad wakes up.

You may be my mom, but you're a piece of work.

Don't worry.

I will somehow find your real brother.

I can't believe Hui Joo!

How's your head?

It's better this way.

I felt guilty every time I saw her.

She's not the problem right now.

Your uncle is.

Why is he at our throats when it was Mo Ah who turned him in?

I'm worried that he'll physically hurt us.

Don't worry. I'm looking for him as we speak.

You should see a doctor.

I'm fine. Besides, I don't have that luxury.

What has Do Hoon been up to?

With the police's help, he's trying to locate you.

So this is what happens when your dog bites you.

Maybe you can ask Ms. Jung again.

She won't budge.

Did you find the people at Min Joon's accident site?

No, not yet.

Nam Koo's looking for them, so he might know something.

Is it safe for you out here?

More or less.

You should come inside and have dinner at least.

I'm grateful for the offer.

Anyway, have you found out anything about Min Joon?

No, not yet.

I heard you were looking for the lady who saved him.

I am, but I haven't been successful.

I also heard...

that the landlord handed Mo Ah a photo of the lady.

Really?

She told me there wasn't one.

Is that so?

She told me she threw it away.

It wasn't of Min Joon.

There wasn't one. He was mistaken.

That's right. She said she threw it away.

- Are you sure? - Yes.

Things have been too hectic, so I guess I forgot.

I'm sorry.

- Nam Koo. - It's been a while.

Hello, sir.

You should come inside for some dinner.

Like brother, like sister. I'll take a rain check on that.

You know, I feel like I've seen him somewhere before.

It was probably at the auto shop or at CEO Shin's house.

That's not it. I saw him somewhere else.

Whatever. Let's head inside.

Mom.

Mom, CEO Shin's brother was just here.

The brother?

Isn't he on the run from the police?

Really?

I should've reported him then.

I'll do it now.

Don't. He's a poor soul as well.

After his son died, he devoted his life to the company,

but look where that got him.

Why was he here anyway?

What? He came to ask about CEO Shin's son.

I see.

Did he find anything out?

He hasn't which is why he came to Nam Koo.

Aren't I right?

You are. I'll get some rest then.

Mom, I feel like I've seen the brother somewhere.

Sometime when I was young.

It was probably after we moved here. You were in high school.

Was it?

This was Mo Ah's idea.

She used you to try and have me sent to prison.

She just took your place instead.

She told me she threw it away.

There wasn't one. He was mistaken.

Why did she lie to me?

Mom, aren't you going to see flowers tomorrow?

- I'll give you money for the trip. - Really?

Can you take Nam Hui with you though?

You can enjoy the flowers with her.

Shut it.

She'll only embarrass me.

Mo Ah's been awfully late these days.

She's busy trying to find CEO Shin's son.

It won't be that easy to find him.

Whoever it is, he'll be winning the lottery.

- I'm home. - Come on in.

- Did you eat dinner? - Yes.

Mo Hyuk, can I have a word?

I must take after you.

Even after what Do Hoon did, I still pity him.

You thought that way too.

That's why you wanted to take care of things quietly.

Don't worry.

I'm sure that Min Joon is just as decent as you.

She knows that Do Hoon ran her father over.

Come on in. I figured you'd come by.

You should go to her. She'll need someone.

I'm sorry for not telling you sooner.

It's all right. I'm just glad you came by.

Are you sure you're all right?

Yes.

I knew my mom would someday be punished,

but not my dad.

Someone else should be punished though,

and I smashed a glass on his head.

Satisfying, right?

Hui Joo...

What now?

Did you think I'd break down sobbing?

All right, hold on. I'll squeeze out all the tears.

You don't have to force it.

Just cry when you feel like doing so.

End it with me,

and leave Hui Joo alone.

Mother, please.

Look what she did to Do Hoon's forehead.

Why take it?

Do to her what you did to her dad.

- I don't get what you mean. - Of course you do.

You even tried to kill Nam Koo,

so don't play dumb with me.

That's enough.

I apologized to Hui Joo...

in hopes that we could someday be a family again.

Try all you want. It'll never make you our blood.

What was she talking about?

Did you try to kill Nam Koo?

Of course not. She's just saying things.

You hope that we can someday be a family again?

Once I find Min Joon,

your life as you know it will be over.

Yes, Nam Koo.

I'd like the day off today.

Of course. Is there something going on?

I'm visiting Min Joon's accident site...

to ask around the neighborhood.

Didn't Jong Dae already canvass the area?

He could've missed something.

I'll call once I'm done.

Why are you knitting already when winter's far away?

I thought I'd get a head start on it.

- Anyway, shouldn't you go to work? - It's my day off.

Chun Soo's mom won't come back until late from her trip.

- I'm stepping out for a while. - Shouldn't you go to work?

I'm looking for CEO Shin's son today.

Mo Ah already approved.

- I'm coming with. - You can't.

This isn't a field trip. Have fun with Chun Soo.

He's at work, so take me.

If it's not a hassle, take her.

She can't come.

If you're bored, help mom wash cars. I'll get going then.

Sure, have a good day.

Nam Hui!

I told you this isn't a field trip.

But I want to help find CEO Shin's son too.

Take me with you.

No. End of discussion.

Fine. I'll ask Mo Ah to take me.

Okay, fine. You can come.

Once we're done, let's eat tteokbokki with Mo Ah.

Let's go.

Tae Jin, oh no.

Min Joon's missing.

Min Joon!

Min Joon.

Somebody help!

Oh my gosh!

It's already been 30 years.

It was somewhere around here.

Is this where the accident happened?

- That's weird. - What is?

I think I've been here before.

How could you have when we didn't live around here?

Really? That's odd.

Is that Mr. Shin?

Min Joon!

Nam Koo...

What now?

I...

I now remember where I saw him.

We've been over this. You saw him at the auto shop.

That's not it.

I saw him here.

What?

I think this is where you were almost hit by a car.

Don't lie to me.

I'm not lying.

I remember seeing him.

I get it. Just don't say anything.

I thought I'd come out here too.

Did you find out anything new?

No, I didn't. I was just about to leave.

We meet again.

Well, carry on then.

Why didn't you tell him?

I told you that I saw him when I was young.

Don't say anything to him that'll give him any ideas.

He's frantically searching for Min Joon right now.

I'm telling you the truth.

I remember everything.

I ran into the road to save you,

and he was watching from behind that tree.

- Are you sure? - Yes.

I'm sure.

We lived around here as kids.

Our house was over there. Would you like to see?

I won't say anything, so you lead the way.

This is it. We used to live here.

You were probably too young to remember.

This is the house Jong Dae said.

The lady who saved Min Joon lived here with her daughter.

It's just as I remember.

We used to wait for Mom to come home every day.

Why didn't she say anything about us living here though?

I should ask when I get back.

Don't tell her we came here today.

Why not? I want to ask her.

Please listen to me. You can't tell anyone about this.

- But I want to. - Just don't!

Why are you yelling at me?

I remember it too, so don't tell anyone about this.

How can you remember when you were a little boy?

I said I remember.

Don't you want to live with me?

Why?

If I tell Mom about this, can't we live together?

Tell anyone about this and that will happen.

Okay, I won't say a word.

Just don't yell. You're scaring me.

When was it again?

You were at the hospital following your car accident.

Anyway, it ended up in my hands soon afterwards.

Nam Koo, the necklace Nam Hui has.

It's actually yours.

You should keep it safe.

What on earth is going on?

I hope that we could someday be a family again.

How dare he keep posing as my son.

Wait.

My son's necklace.

Where on earth did he hide it?

I knew it. He's probably worried about Mo Ah.

Did you think of a good way to get rid of Do Hoon?

No.

I came to ask you about something.

What is it?

Hold on.

Why do you have Min Joon's necklace?

I don't have it.

CEO Shin showed it to me before his accident.

Really?

Then what have you come here to ask?

I thought I should know if I were to find your son.

Is it really...

his necklace?

Yes, it is.

Min Joon and I...

each have one.

Only two of them exist in this world.

Can you show me yours?

I can't. I gave it to Do Hoon,

but he hid it somewhere.

Then...

what about the other necklace?

My son would probably have it with him.

If he's alive, I mean.

(I Am Sorry, but I Love You)

This is how you must've felt when you abandoned me.

I'm Min Joon, the nephew you abandoned.

There's something I should tell you.

One might think Nam Koo's the real son.

What will you do once I find him?

I am Sorry but i Love You Ep 109 아임 쏘리 강남구 109회 - Duration: 32:47.

They were all in this together.

I knew it. Even though Mo Ah's desperate,

she never would risk Nam Koo's life.

What a loss. We could've ended Do Hoon today.

Where were you out so late?

I had some things to take care at the office.

Shaun Johnson: I've let the Warriors down, but things will change - Duration: 4:03.

Shaun Johnson: I've let the Warriors down, but things will change

Shaun Johnson after a Warriors loss. Frustrated Warriors halfback Shaun Johnson admits he is struggling but says the sides problems are team-wide rather than down to any individuals.

Nothing has gone right for the Kiwis playmaker since the Anzac test loss to Australia in Canberra three weeks ago, and Johnson knows he has let his teammates down in consecutive NRL defeats to Penrith and St George Illawarra over the past fortnight.

The 26-year-olds defence, kicking and attacking play have all come in for criticism and he is under pressure to get the Warriors back on track in Saturdays NRL clash against Brisbane at Mt Smart Stadium.

I definitely think over the last couple of weeks Ive let them down, said Johnson.

Theres a lot of people that think they know the answer and theres a lot of different answers coming from a lot of different directions, but I cant actually tell you why it hasnt clicked for me or the team.

I went into the (Dragons) game feeling really good, really fresh and excited about playing, and as long as I can get myself there every week, I know it will happen for me. It will come, it will click for me..

Privately, in the wake of the last two results, the players have been honest with one another about their own individual failings, but publicly, and not unexpectedly, the group blanket their problems as collective concerns.

Johnson admits they have lacked physicality and toughness across the board, but denies his fragile right side combinations with back-rower Bodene Thompson and centre David Fusitua are responsible for numerous defensive blunders. No, again its a collective thing, he said.

You look at something happening on an edge and Im telling you nine times out of 10 it doesnt break down there.

Its broken down somewhere else, which leads to a wrong decision being made, or a correct decision, but you get out-played.

Its easy to look at that area or individuals specifically and try to say thats why theyre not playing well but its a collective thing.

This is a team sport and we know that as a group and thats why were working hard together and not singling out anyone.

Kearney has remained firm in his selections and stuck by his players, mindful of the need to help nurse them through yet another dark period, reminiscent of so many others from recent years.

Conscious of the fact his No7 is a lightning rod for criticism and praise, depending on the clubs fortunes, Kearney has been impressed with Johnsons attitude in the lead-up to the clash against the Broncos. Hes responded really well, said Kearney.

For some of the players here there is a revisiting of some bad scarring, but Shauns been wonderful in the sense that he has been trying to fight and work his way out of it.

His execution on a couple of occasions probably isnt exactly where he wants it, but I admire the courage that he is showing in facing it down.

Its up to me and everyone here to make sure that we have a clear focus of where were going.

It was never going to be a smooth ride to go where we want to go but its a matter of staying on track and not getting knocked off the rails or side-tracked by everything on the outside.

Pakistan Defence spend may rise 30% but its real enemies are Chinese Debt Trap, Poverty - Duration: 7:52.

Welcome to WARN, Pakistan Defence spend may rise 30% but its

real enemies are Chinese Debt Trap, Poverty The border encounters with India is costing

Pakistan economy dearly.

Never-ending clashes with India on the eastern border and Afghanistan might force Pakistan

to up its defence budget by at least 30 percent in the national budget set to be announced

on this Friday, Bloomberg reported on Thursday, quoting Peshawar based defence analyst, Khadim

Hussain.

In 2016-17, Pakistan had increased its defence budget to Rs 860 billion compared with Rs

3.6 trillion of India.

A steeper-than-expected rise in defence spend wouldnt be good news for a crippled economy

like Pakistan, largely running on Chinese aid.

If one compares the key economic and social parameters of Pakistan, it isnt difficult

for one to understand why that country should put more money on the table to repair its

debt-ridden economy, alleviate poverty and generate employment opportunities for its

millions of youngsters entering the workforce every year, instead of engaging in a never-ending,

politically-motivated conflict with its mighty neighbour.

Ideally, Pakistan should work on reducing its debt burden and develop economic self-sufficiency.

Here are a few numbers for Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to think over:

Debt bomb ::

Pakistan's modest economy, which grew at just above 5 percent last year, has seen its current

account deficit tripling to $7.3 billion in the ten months through April.

Its trade gap expanded to $3.2 billion in April, close to lowest level hit a month ago

since Bloomberg started compiling data in 2003.

The country has almost pledged itself to the Chinese banks with humongous amount of debt

that will make its posterity indebted to the neighbour for many generations to come.

The extent of the problem is such that besides the existing debt, the ongoing China-Pakistan

economic corridor (CPEC) will not only make Pakistan an economic debtor to China but is

designed to have long-term military and culture influence on Pak soil that will eventually

make it a new era Chinese colony.

According to reports, Chinas investment in its ambitious economic corridor project

in Pakistan has reached $62 billion, more than 34 percent from its initial investment

of $46 billion.

Besides this, China has promised additional investments to the tune of billions of dollars

to Pakistan as part of the One Belt, One Road (OBOR) plan.

Such high debt burden will push the already weak Pak economy into a deeper mess.

It doesnt end there.

The CPEC would cost Pakistan even more since it needs to offer and maintain the security

cover to Chinese establishments being set up under the CPEC-OBORyet again an expensive

exercise for a poverty-ridden country.

A long-term plan on CPEC accessed by Pakistani newspaper, The Dawn, China plans to deeply

influence the Pakistan region with its power and culture, establishing a full system

of monitoring and surveillance ... built in cities from Peshawar to Karachi, with 24 hour

video recordings on roads and busy marketplaces for law and order.

A national fibre optic backbone will be built for the country not only for internet traffic,

but also terrestrial distribution of broadcast TV, which will cooperate with Chinese media

in the dissemination of Chinese culture.

Also, the plan envisages a deep and broad based penetration of most sectors of Pakistans

economy as well as its society by Chinese enterprises and culture, the Dawn report

said.

With OBOR a reality, China will have greater reasons to exert economic and military influence

in Pakistan.

Shouldnt Nawaz Sharif and the Pak military be more worried about permanently pledging

the country to Chinese dominance rather than sending proxies and fighting shadows on the

Indian border?

It wouldnt be an exaggeration to say that the Pakistan economy is facing a debt-crisisthe

impact of which would have been profound had there been no Chinese money.

Industries / Employment ::

Pakistan is also fighting an internal crisis as far as employment generation is concerned.

According to Pakistan government data, unemployment rate is around 6 percent but according to

a report in the Nation, some independent economic think-tanks in that country estimate the unemployment

rate in Pakistan to be nearly 10 percent.

Already, the textile sectorone of the largest employers in Pakistan--is facing one of the

gravest crises in its history.

A 21 September, Bloomberg report, last year quoted Saleem Saleh, acting secretary general

of All Pakistan Textile Mills Association, as saying that about 100 member factories

in Pakistan have shut down and at least 500,000 people have lost jobs in the past two years

alone, on account of power scarcity and with buyers having shifted to other markets.

Of course, this is also due to Pakistans infamous image of being a terror prone area,

which makes foreigners scared to land in Karachi, which isnt the case with other markets

such as India, the reports says.

Shouldnt the Sharif government think of investing more in giving more jobs to the

youth rather than beefing up the military?

Agriculture ::

There are other costs to antagonizing India.

Agriculture, which constitutes an important link of Pakistans economy contributing

19.8 percent of that countrys GDP and is the largest employer (42.3 percent of the

countrys total labour force), too isnt in good shape especially with India threatening

to revisit the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT).

According to the 2015-16 Pakistan economic survey, the agriculture sector is a vital

component of Pakistans economy as it provides the raw materials to down the line industries

and helps in poverty alleviation impact. Last year, the farm sector contracted by -0.19

percent mainly due to decrease in production of cotton, rice and maize, the survey says.

Escalation of tensions at the border can have its economic ramifications here, too.

Why should Pakistan fear IWT?

Three rivers under the IWT pact in the Nehruvian era, whose rights went to Pakistan Indus,

Chenab and Jhelum are the life energy for the Indus region, which, according to

various estimates, supports 90 percent of Pakistans agriculture.

It also provides water for that country for industries and residential complexes as well.

A recent UN report has rightly warned that the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)

traversing through PoK might create "geo-political tension" in the region by igniting further

tensions between India and Pakistan.

"The dispute over Kashmir is also of concern, since the crossing of the CPEC in the region

might create geo-political tension with India and ignite further political instability,"

said the report on China's ambitious Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

Making the all-dominating military even more powerful and escalating tensions with India

would only harm Pakistan even more and its 195 million population.

The threat India poses to Pakistans national security is far less than what it faces from

the fast-spreading Chinese influence, mounting debt-trap, unemployment levels and deep-rooted

poverty in that country.

It is still not too late for the Sharif-government to wake up and fight the real enemy.

In NATO Speech, Trump Scolds Leaders But Doesn't Recommit To Defense Pledge - Duration: 4:34.

In NATO Speech, Trump Scolds Leaders But Doesn't Recommit To Defense Pledge

At a NATO summit in Brussels, President Trump marked the unveiling of memorials of the Berlin Wall and the Sept. 11 attacks with a speech that, among other things, told gathered NATO leaders their levels of defense funding are "not fair" to U.S. taxpayers.

Trump also omitted any clear statement of support for Article 5, the NATO mutual-defense pledge — something other leaders had been hoping to hear.

The Associated Press described Thursday's speech as an "unprecedented one-two punch" that "further rattled" an already anxious Europe. And at home, one Democratic leader called the remarks "condescending" and an "embarrassment," while Republican Sen. Rand Paul said he applauded Trump's stance.

The speech opened with a moment of silence for the Manchester attack and with an extended reflection on the danger posed by terrorists, who Trump called "losers," before pivoting to the question of defense funding.

It had been widely expected that Trump would use the speech as an opportunity to call for other NATO leaders to increase their own military spending, as NPR's Tamara Keith explained on Morning Edition before the event.

"Do your part, pay your fair share. That's his basic message," Tamara reports. "He wants them to keep their commitments that they've made — they've set this goal of spending 2 percent of their nations' GDP on national defense, to contribute to the strength of the alliance."

The U.S., which has by far the largest military budget in the world, spends well more than that — 3.6 percent of GDP last year, for instance, according to The Economist. Most NATO members, meanwhile, spend less than the 2 percent benchmark. Trump said in his speech that he has been "very, very direct" with NATO leadership about the need for member nations to increase their military budgets.

The current situation, he said, "is not fair to the people and taxpayers of the United States. And many of these nations owe massive amounts of money from past years and not paying in those past years. Over the last eight years, the United States spent more on defense than all other NATO countries combined." Just as notable as what Trump said, however, is what he didn't say.

Just as notable as what Trump said, however, is what he didn't say.

Other NATO leaders wanted him to "express a commitment to Article 5 of the NATO charter, which says that an attack on one nation is an attack on all nations," Tamara reports. "President Trump, during the campaign, had not shown a full commitment to that." Trump said in his speech that he has been "very, very direct" with NATO leadership about the need for member nations to increase their military budgets.

You go on ahead. Tell your mother I went to see Mr. Iwasaki.

Mr. Yoshii stopped in to pay his respects to the boss.

That's why he's a manager. You could learn from him.

Go call somebody.

Welcome to the neighborhood. Need anything from the liquor store?

Not today, thank you. We still have some we brought with us.

Please feel free to ask our houseboy to help with your move.

A funny-looking kid's just moved in.

He's always getting into mischief.

All young boys should have a little mischief in them.

Look at him. He's got a face like a bug.

"Upset tummy. Please don't feed him anything.''

Who made my brother cry?

Where did you move here from?

Azabu.

I'll give it to you good at school.

This is our new home.

You need to get along with the local kids.

MORNING...

You like your new school?

We like the walk there and the walk home.

But the part in between isn't much fun.

Aren't they coming to school?

You must get Es for "excellent'' at your new school.

I got an E in every subject, including calligraphy and arithmetic.

School's already started.

He's mean.

It's early, but let's eat lunch anyway.

I forgot my chopsticks.

I'm supposed to get an E in calligraphy today.

How's life in the suburbs?

Very quiet. Good for the children too.

Mr. Iwasaki would like to see you.

"Good for the children,'' he says.

More like good for scoring points by living near the boss.

There's no grade on it.

Are you any good at writing?

Can you write an E just like the teacher does?

''€''

''€''

I got an E.

Then maybe your father will buy you something special.

That worked well.

Sissies! Too scared to come to school?

Say that again!

We'll save him for later.

The teacher!

I thought they were going to school every day.

Well, I'm glad to hear he's not sick.

Your younger son's teacher was worried too.

I'll give them a good talking-to.

Ryoichi got an E today.

Dad, you must be tired after working hard all day.

What school did you go to today?

Where did you write that?

Why are you boys skipping school?

Don't you want to become somebody?

Yes, but some bullies at school pick on us.

They can't if you just ignore them.

But they'll still beat us up.

THE NEXT MORNING...

We wouldn't have to go to school if we couldn't get across.

Dad said to ignore them.

But if we do, they'll beat us up for sure.

I wish they'd ignore us if we hit them.

May I use the bathroom?

It's a sparrow's egg.

Why did you bring it to school?

NOT TO BE OUTDONE...

lf you eat it, you can be as strong as him.

He ate it. Now he'll be a great fighter.

You know why Mom's so happy?

It's payday for Dad.

I found a sparrow's nest.

I think my mom will buy some beer today.

Would you care for any beer today?

Bring half a dozen bottles, please.

So now will you beat up that bully Kamekichi for us?

My lucky day.

You ought to turn it in to the police.

They'd let me keep it if it was something smaller.

You want change?

Wait here. We'll be right back.

Pick on those two again and you'll hear from me.

Tell him off too.

He's a good customer. His folks buy more than yours.

Who made my kid cry?

His father can look really scary.

That's nothing. You should see what mine can do.

A caramel, Dad?

Can your dads take their teeth out like my dad?

My dad's got lots of suits.

That's 'cause he's a tailor.

My dad's the most important.

That's my dad's car.

So my dad's more important than yours.

My dad's car is fancier.

That's 'cause it's a hearse.

DAYS LATER, THE SPARROW'S EGG HAS AN UNEXPECTED EFFECT...

It's not distemper.

His hair's falling out. Might be something he ate.

Try giving him this.

Maybe you'd better take some too.

Why won't you lie down?

I've got my best clothes on. We're having company tonight.

They're going to show home movies at his place.

I gave you a sparrow's egg, so let me come.

No, you can't come. You didn't give me an egg.

THAT NIGHT...

I brought an egg. Let me watch the movies.

You boys are here too?

It's like the lion on the toothpaste tube.

Which end does the toothpaste come out of?

The tail end.

Are they black stripes on white or the other way around?

They're black stripes on white.

No, they're white stripes on black.

lf you're going to be so noisy, go home.

You'd make a good comic actor.

It wasn't fair of you to take those.

Your father's funny.

You think Dad's an important man?

I guess so.

Stupid! He's not.

Oh, you boys are home already.

You tell us to become somebody, but you're nobody!

Why do you have to bow so much to Taro's father?

His father's a big executive in my company.

Why don't you become a big executive?

It isn't that easy. I'm one of his employees.

He pays my salary.

Then don't let him pay you.

Yeah! You pay him instead!

lf he didn't pay me, you couldn't go to school.

You couldn't eat.

Let's not eat anything starting tomorrow.

Why is Taro's father a big executive and you're not?

Because he has money.

Does money make him important?

Some people without money are important too.

Are you important?

Why are you pestering me with these questions?

See? He's not.

I'm not afraid of you.

You're a weakling.

A yellowbelly.

Be good boys and stop your crying.

I'm stronger than Taro, and I get better grades.

lf I have to work for him when I grow up,

then I'm not going to school anymore.

You got a spanking.

Just 'cause he spanked me doesn't make him important.

I give up.

I need a drink.

Couldn't you have explained it to them a little more gently?

I know how they feel.

But what else could I have said?

Do you think they really understood?

It's a problem kids these days will face all their lives.

I don't cozy up to the boss because I enjoy it.

Are you kidding?

But we're far better off now than we were before.

I know that.

Will they lead the same sorry lives we have?

Don't become miserable apple-polishers like me, boys.

THE NEXT MORNING...

Hurry up, before your father scolds you.

We're not eating.

We don't want anything.

Make them some rice balls.

How about growing up to be even greater men than your father?

I'm counting on you both to be big successes!

What are you going to be when you grow up?

A lieutenant general.

Why not a full general?

He says I can't. That's what he's gonna be.

AND SO, AS USUAL...

You better go say good morning to him, Dad.

Who's got the best dad, you or us?

You do.

No, you do.
