Manchester United handed massive boost in Leander Dendocker pursuit as Anderlecht sporting director Herman van Holsbeeck all-but confirms move

MANCHESTER UNITED have been handed massive boost in their Leander Dendocker pursuit as Anderlechts sporting director has all-but confirmed the move.

Jose Mourinho has been itching to add some steel to his midfield this summer, with the 6ft 2ins Belgian now a priority target. Leander Dendoncker could provide the defensive discipline in midfield that Manchester United midfielder Jose Mourinho craves.

Leander Dendoncker is already an experienced midfielder with Anderlecht. Anderlecht chief Herman van Holsbeek has now claimed the club will be forced to sell should the right offer come in, somewhere in the region of £20million-£30m.

Van Holsbeeck said: "We want to cherish him, but if a club is willing to pay between €25million and €35m, we have a problem.

"Against Man United [in the Europa League], he has shown twice that he has the potential to play at a top European club.

Meanwhile, Dendocker, 22, revealed a move to the Premier League could be his own best interests this summer – even though Anderlecht want him to stay.

He claimed: If he [van Holsbeeck] wants to paste a price on my head, I can not change that much. I understand he wants me to stay and I understand the fans want me to stay.

Watch Man Uniteds 17-year-old whizkid Millen Baars score 89th-minute stunner for youth team.

Leander Dendoncker is not just a sturdy defensive midfielder but can also switch play with long passes.

But its about my career. I have to make a decision that is best for his career.. Dendocker has been at the Belgian outfit since his youth days, making his first-team debut in the cup back in the 2013-14 campaign.

He established himself as a regular in the 2014-15 season and has gone on to play a pivotal role in Anderlechts squad ever since. Jose Mourinho aims to strengthen in certain positions, like defensive midfield.

Leander Dendoncker has long been rated one of the hottest prospects in Belgium.

Last season alone, Dendocker played 40 games in the Belgian top flight, to go with 15 appearances in Europe - including both quarter-final legs against United in the Europa League.

Overall, he has played 126 times for Anderlecht, scoring ten goals - to go with two senior international caps for Belgium.

Scaramucci sacked as Trump media chief - Duration: 1:40.

Another day of drama in Washington...

President Donald Trump has fired his communications director, Anthony Scaramucci, just ten days

into the job.

With more on this and other news around the world we turn to Ro Aram…

Aram…this is the latest in a series of high-profile departures in the Trump White House after

former Chief of Staff Reince Priebus resigned at the end of last week, as well as a host

of others…

Do we know why Scaramucci was told to clear his desk?

Well Mark…

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders is saying there was a mutual understanding

between Scaramucci and Priebus' replacement John Kelly, who was sworn in on Monday.

She says the former communication director felt it was best to give Kelly a clean slate

and the ability to build his own team.

However, she did confirm that President Trump was unhappy with Scaramucci's performance,

adding that his profanity-laced rant to a reporter against Priebus, as well as Trump's

chief strategist Steve Bannon, was innapropriate.

Other White House officials also say the new Chief of Staff John Kelly did not think Scaramucci

was disciplined enough and thought he had burned his credibility.

During that phone call with the reporter last week, Scaramucci labeled Priebus a "paranoid

schizophrenic" and accused him of leaking information to the media.

Although the White House is refuting claims of feuds within the Trump administration,

the appointment of John Kelly, a retired four-star general, is seen as a desperate move to bring

more discipline to a chaotic West Wing.

More In-Law Troubles For Kate Middleton As Queen Scores Duchess's Laziness - Duration: 1:40.

Kate Middleton has a new title.

She is not just the Duchess of Cambridge, she is also the "Duchess of Do-Little."

No, that's not a misspelling.

It's not for Doolittle, but for doing little, a "title" that reportedly came from the Queen

who was allegedly angry at the mother of Prince George for missing on July 10 a planned lunch

to honor World War II pilots, reports Skynews.

Although the monarch did not publicly chastise her granddaughter-in-law, Life Style magazine

cites a Buckingham Palace insider as the source of the latest royal conflict.

In-law problem is not a new thing after all to Kate who also had brushes with stepmother-in-law

Camilla Parker-Bowles.

However, while a conflict with the Duchess of Cornwall may not reduce Kate's popularity

with Brits since many still prefer the late Princess Diana over Camilla as partner for

Prince Charles, it is another matter being on the opposite side of Her Majesty - not

that she would cry "Off with her head!"

Defenders of the 33-year-old duchess may cite Kate's recent childbirth to Princess Charlotte

as reason behind her possible tiredness.

However, prior to not showing up for the lunch, she attended the Wimbledon tennis championships

and also hosted Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie at Kensington Palace.

Ibrahimovic shows off his football juggling skills as he eyes Man Utd return after horrific injury

ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC shows he still has it even after a horrific knee injury threatened to end his career. The free agent – who wants to play again for Manchester United – shook off some of the rustiness with some football freestylers.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic looked a little bit rusty while pulling off some skills.

The free agent is recovering well from his knee surgery.

And though the man who this week compared himself to King Kong wasnt quite as good as the lads who do it full-time, he looked like he still had the magic in his feet.

In fact, trickster Tobias Becs wiped the floor with Zlatan after pulling off a number of impressive skills on the streets of Stockholm. One move even included a handstand with the ball delicately balanced on the sole of his foot.

Ibrahimovic had a go but lost control of the ball with a nonchalant heel flick. It certainly wasnt on a par with former United team-mate Henrikh Mkhitaryans wondergoal last season.

Ibra wants to stay with Jose Mourinhos side - who appear to have found his possible replacement in the form of Romelu Lukaku.

The man wanted by AC Milan showed off an array of tricks on the street.

The former Man United striker eventually lost control of the ball.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic wants to stay at Manchester United.

Jose Mourinho has dropped a hint that the Swedish star will be offered a new Man United deal . Henrikh Mkhitaryan scorpion kick for Manchester United is the moment of the week.

But that hasnt diminished the Swedish stars legendary ego. Just last week he showed himself immortalised on a 1,000 Swedish Krona note - and even likened himself to Benjamin Franklin.

And Mourinho reckons Ibra still has a future at Old Trafford - because he HAD to buy Lukaku due to Zlatans injury. He said: We spent big money on a striker because, with strikers, you either spend or you dont get.

We spent because of what happened to Zlatan and we cannot allow ourselves to be without an important, strong striker for the first six months of the season.

Washington mulling on financial penalties on Beijing as it says ... - Duration: 2:21.

The time for talks is over.

That's coming from U.S. President Donald Trump... following North Korea's latest provocation.

He even went as far as to claim Washington won't bother with the UN., and instead will

ponder ways to force China to do more to rein in the regime.

Connie Kim has our top story.

The United States has put its foot down and said 'time for talks with North Korea is over'

as the regime forged ahead with another long-range missile that could potentially hit major U.S.

cities.

Washington has normally requested an emergency UN Security Council meeting following Pyongyang's

nuclear and missile tests, but it appears to be taking a different course of action

as U.S. ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley says Washington will not be requesting an emergency

meeting of the council this time around.

Instead, media reports have pointed at U.S. President Trump's financial penalties on China

expected to take place this week.

U.S. news outlet Politico reported that the president's top advisers are considering a

range of economic measures including economic sanctions and trade restrictions on Beijing.

China, however, says Washington and Pyongyang are the sole responsible players in de-escalating

tensions and resuming denuclearization talks on the Korean peninsula.

"No matter how capable China is, China's efforts will not yield practical results, because

it depends on the two principal parties.

They hold the primary responsibility to keep things moving, to start moving in the right

direction, not China."

With the U.S. focusing on North Korea's key ally China to bring change in the regime,

key U.S. officials are already discussing different scenarios to deal with the crisis.

Former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, who opened up Washington's relations with

Beijing, has reportedly suggested to current U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and

senior U.S. officials to draw a different approach in convincing China to take a stronger

stance on North Korea.

One of the options is reported to be Washington's commitment to withdraw most of its troops

from the Korean peninsula in the case that the North Korean regime collapses.

Arsenal transfer news: Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson emerges as a shock transfer target for... - Duration: 3:39.

Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson emerges as a shock transfer target for Serie A trio Cagliari, Hellas Verona and Sassuolo

ARSENAL defender Carl Jenkinson has emerged as a shock transfer target for Serie A trio Cagliari, Hellas Verona and Sassuolo.

The Gunners full-back, 25, has been linked with a surprise move to Italy, as well as Premier League new-boys Brighton and Hove Albion. Carl Jenkinson is a target for a trio of Serie A teams, including Sassuolo.

Carl Jenkinson could finally put his Arsenal nightmare behind him and move permanently. Jenkinson has struggled to break into the first-team under Arsene Wenger since swapping Charlton for the Emirates Stadium.

Earlier this month, the French boss told Jenkinson to find happiness, saying: Wenger said: "There is no news about Carl Jenkinson. We are still open to a move but it doesn't look like something will happen.

"He is integrated in our squad. There is no problem with his attitude. He must find happiness with conditions and where he goes.".

The news has put a host of teams on red alert, as Brighton, Crystal Palace and Newcastle all looked to bolster their defensive ranks.

But now, offers have been flooding in from abroad, with 2016-17 Serie B runners-up Hellas Verona keen on the full-back.   Arsenal matchup in NBA 2K17 tournament as Hector Bellerin takes on Kyle Jenkinson.

Carl Jenkinson spent two years away from Arsenal on loan at West Ham.

Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke slated for channel My Outdoor TV that celebrates hunting. Carl Jenkinson doesnt appear to be in Arsene Wengers first-team plans.

Sassuolo and Cagliari will both look to put their shocking defensive seasons behind them after shipping 61 and 76 goals respectively last term.

The English defender left the Addicks in 2011, but has only made 38 Premier League appearances in six seasons in North London.

Harlow-born Jenkinson - who has earned one full international cap, back in 2012 in the famous 4-2 friendly defeat against Sweden - played just one for Arsenal last season.

Prior to that he spent two years away on loan at West Ham, with Wenger seemingly now keen to offload the full-back for good.   Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger talks about Alexis Sanchezs return and Arsenals pre-season.
