Youtube daily can't sleep Aug 1 2017

Thank you for your question.

You stated in your question, which you didn't submit with a photo, but you describe that

you are now 2 months and 4 days after undergoing hair transplant and that you are noticing

approximately 10-20 hair shafts per day when you are combing your hair. And your question

is should you be concerned.

Well, I can certainly share with you my perspective as someone who performs hair transplant. A

little bit of background, I'm a Board-certified cosmetic surgeon and Fellowship-trained oculofacial

plastic and reconstructive surgeon. I have been in practice in Manhattan and Long Island

for over 20 years. I am the founder of TrichoStem™ Hair Regeneration Centers, a system that we

developed that non-surgically treats men and women with hair loss. And we treat people

from around the world using technology that we developed while trying to help our hair

transplants heal better.

I think that if you were to contact your doctor and ask the same question, they would basically

give you the general term of shock loss. And shock loss basically means hairs, whether

they are transplanted hairs or even native hairs in the vicinity of the transplanted

area, will essentially go early into a phase called telogen, the resting phase and that

is basically called the shock loss where the hair sheds and now you have at least 3-4 months

before there's regrowth. Essentially, with any hair transplant, the timeframe of looking

for the result to be fully expressed is about a year and sometimes even longer depending

on the growth cycle of the person's hair and the rate of growth.

When we were doing a lot of hair transplants, we tried to maximize the outcome in terms

of better graft healing as well as donor area healing and to actually try to minimize shock

loss. Because frankly, it is something, even when patients are advised, it can be disconcerting

and people would call all the time. So we tried to see, can we use a technology to help

wound healing. So we use something called platelet-rich plasma (PRP) which is derived

from your own blood, a concentration of growth factors for wound healing as well as a material

called Acellular matrix or extracellular matrix that is used for wound healing that facilitates

the process. And we noticed several things. Amongst which was that thinning hair became

thicker and from that, we developed this Hair Regeneration treatment which basically, non-surgically,

we're able to do injections to help stimulate hair growth of hairs that are not currently

growing, thickening of thinning hairs, inducing the shed of thinning hairs and growing in

thicker hairs and essentially, helping people prolong the growth cycles of their hair and

get better coverage of their scalp for longer periods of time. In fact, with our treatment,

we've been able to establish that 99% of our patients have improvement that is sustainable

for about 5 years.

Now that being said, one of the things that we were also been able to do and accomplish

when we were doing this with transplantation is that we were able to get some improvement

in the shock loss issue as well as, we noticed earlier growth of the grafts. And so from

that, we've actually had a lot of patients come to us from around the world who have

had hair transplant and who, within the first month to 3 months, will come in for Hair Regeneration

treatment to help improve their healing process as well as enhance the regrowth of their existing

hair. And what we've observed is that their transplanted hair tends to grow earlier.

Now there is certainly a lot to be understood in terms of the consistency of these outcomes.

But the point is that there are methods that can help people along as we have been able

to do for patients who come to us who learned about our treatment. Because reality is that

not only is hair transplant a challenge in terms of healing of the grafts but one of

the things that is understated particularly when we are dealing with people who still

have a reasonable amount of existing hair is that there is permanent loss in a lot of

those hairs depending on individual cases when you don't necessarily just get shock

loss but you get permanent loss because of the collateral damage from the trauma of surgery,

the compromise in vascularity and other issues. Now this is not meant to worry you but it's

basically an issue that is usually not stated very clearly because it's difficult to predict

how much collateral loss there will be in an individual patient.

So what we have basically developed as a conclusion over the past close to 7 years of doing this

Hair Regeneration treatment is that if someone comes to us, let's say about a month after

their transplant surgery, I've been actually able to see from experience from doing transplants

without Hair Regeneration, that the quality of the skin improves as well as the growth

of the grafts. And the patients have told me, especially those who have had more than

one transplant, that they didn't have the same experience with shock loss and the hair

grafts grew in sooner. Now that's again anecdotal and definitely open to potential

criticism.

As far as your question is concerned, again, speak to your doctor. You will probably get

the general understanding of this being called shock loss. But at the same time, I think

you can follow your doctor's instructions as to how to best care for your scalp and

realize that the hair that is shed now doesn't mean that it's necessarily permanently lost.

I think that's the take home message speaking purely from the perspective of a transplant

putting aside the knowledge that we've derived from doing Hair Regeneration.

So again, I think it's very important to maintain communication with your doctor. If

you are not sure about something, I would encourage you to see your doctor. You know,

with our patients, we also encourage them, regardless of the type of procedure I do,

that when in doubt, just come right in so that we can actually see you. It's much

easier to help people understand what's going on by physical examination. And so I

think that may be what will ultimately help give you some reassurance but understand that

you still have another 10 months or so before you see the full expression of your results.

So I hope that was helpful, I wish you the best of luck and thank you for your question.

Why You Can't Tell Someone You Love Them, Based On Your Zodiac Sign | Conscious Reminder - Duration: 5:11.

Why You Can't Tell Someone You Love Them, Based On Your Zodiac Sign

Aries (March 21 – April 19)

You convince yourself that you don't.

You convince yourself that you're just friends and you don't want anything more because you're not ready,

even if you can't stop thinking about that person, you still won't say it.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20)

You're still not sure about how they feel and you're too stubborn to ask or even be okay with the idea that you can be the first to say it,

regardless of the response you might get.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)

You don't have a problem professing your love to someone, the problem is that you don't which one,

you usually have feelings for more than one person and sometimes you can't decide who your heart really wants.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)

You will only say it when you know for sure that they're 'all in.' You can't say how you feel to someone who is slightly confused or merely

interested.

You want an all or nothing kind of love and you won't say a word until you know that they're also ready for the same kind of love you're

willing to give.

Leo (July 23 – August 22)

You're waiting for them to say it first.

Because how could they not?

You feel like you've given them so many signs and done so much to win their heart that they should just crack under pressure and admit it.

You like the reassurance and the satisfaction you get when you feel like you've 'won' someone's heart, not the other way around.

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)

You're not in the perfect place for it.

You have to be mentally, financially and emotionally stable before you can tell someone that you love them or be with anyone.

You will never be truly invested in a relationship until you're done investing in yourself first.

Libra (September 23 – October 22)

You have to fully move on from all your exes first before telling someone how you feel.

You don't want to lead anyone on and sometimes you can have feelings for someone but you could also still take your ex back if they started

talking to you again.

So you want to let go of all the baggage first before you let someone in.

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)

You don't want to ever feel 'vulnerable' or 'weak.' You're known for your strength, independence and social intelligence and you don't want

anything to shake that reputation.

For you, telling someone you love them means taking off your mask and showing someone your deeper and softer side and that terrifies you.

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)

You still want to travel and meet other people.

You don't want to tell someone you love them, then move to a new country shortly after.

Until you find your 'home' you're not going to let yourself fall in love with anyone temporarily.

You want forever.

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)

You're a thinker.

An over-thinker.

Telling someone you love them is impulsive and irrational.

You have to build a strong connection first, get to know them on a deeper level, see them at their worst then make a decision.

It takes a long time for you to actually open up and tell someone how you're really feeling.

Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)

You think they already know.

You think you make it obvious when you see them or they probably understood when you sent them that song or that poem or that quote.

Because you're a creative person, you think people have the same knack to interpret the cues you give them accurately but sometimes things

get lost in translation and unless you explicitly say it, no one will know what you're thinking.

Pisces (February 19 – March 20)

You don't want someone to reject you.

You don't know to handle rejection or not take it personally.

You're going to think that you're the problem and you won't sleep at night because you'll be questioning yourself.

So you play it safe and say nothing at all.

DRDO's black box can eject from crashing plane & float | India Defence News - Duration: 3:19.

Learning from past air crashes, DRDO has developed an ejectable and floating black box for planes.

The machine will eject from an aircraft when it sinks after an accident and will get activated

after coming in contact with water.

Developed as part of 'Make in India' initiative, the product, aimed for use on planes and submarines,

has received "notice of allowance for patent" in the US and Russia.

The product can prevent situations like the AN32 crash where in spite of using deep-sea

probes, authorities were not able to trace debris in the sea.

The ejectable black box becomes crucial for an aircraft as majority of the air routes

are over the high seas where currents carry away crash debris making them difficult to

find.

BSAT – Ejectable Black Box Recorder with Satellite Transmitter — has been developed

and tested by Naval Science and Technology Laboratory of DRDO in Visakhapatnam.

It attracted attention from experts at an exhibition "Science for Soldier" organised

in Chennai at the CVRDe in Avadi.

Officials said the black box was developed based on the tracking technology currently

used to detect torpedoes.

DRDO decided to develop it further and has perfected it for an aircraft.

It aims to export the product after receiveing approvals.

"In most of the air crashes in the sea, the conventional black boxes fail probably

because they sink to the bottom of the ocean which could be thousands of metres deep and

also get affected by the currents or damaged in the impact of the crash.

BSAT is designed to overcome all these hassles.

It will eject the moment a plane touches the water and float.

It can also be tethered to the flight so that some portion of the debris be retrieved,"

an official said.

It has a good use in defence as it can send out signals when a submarine sinks, but its

chief use would be in civil aviation.

"The invention is good because it will help find the location of the crash and retrieve

flight information stored in the black box," said air safety expert and former pilot Captain

Mohan Ranganathan.

A black box stores data including speed, altitude and other parameters of the aircraft when

it is flying.

The information is crucial to piece together the cause of an accident.

Airbus and European aviation regulator are planning to have ejectable black boxes on

commercial airliners in the next two years.

Ranganathan said implementation of the new technology has to be hastened.

Retrofitting of such equipment in aircraft will require permission and certification

from Federal Aviation Agency.?

Unpacked: Can Trump stop the DOJ's Russia investigation? - Duration: 5:10.

My name is Benjamin Wittes, I'm a senior fellow in Governance Studies at the

Brookings Institution, where one of the things I do is edit Lawfare, which is a

website devoted to national security. I do it because there are enormous number

of complicated issues that involve the intersection of law, policy, and very

difficult national security choices. Both Rosenstein and Sessions are in an

unspeakably difficult position right now. The president is publicly ridiculing

them, is making substantive demands on them as law enforcement officers that no

self-respecting law enforcement officer could possibly comply with. Under normal

circumstances, when a boss publicly puts you in a position like that,

the only self-respecting thing to do is to resign and in particular, to resign in

a fashion that makes clear the unacceptability of the behavior. And so,

there's, I think, a very good argument that both men should step down and

and make very strong statements as to the unacceptability of what the

president is doing here. But, there are also important countervailing factors in

this situation. Which is: as long as Jeff Sessions and Rod Rosenstein remain in

place, the Mueller investigation is protected. The president probably can't

simply snap his fingers and make Mueller go away. And so, they have a very

important role in protecting the integrity of an ongoing investigation

that affects the president's interests very personally. And for that reason, a

lot of people at the Justice Department have really rallied behind them and feel

it's very important that they stay in place. A lot of people feel that it's

important that they not give in to this kind of bullying. The president clearly

wants to get rid of them and so staying is a kind of defiance that has value in

and of itself. What I would say both men have an obligation to do more of

than they've done is to speak up on behalf of law enforcement, because one of

the problems with the way the president has behaved is that it describes law

enforcement in a political and unacceptable fashion, that is, as merely

an arm of presidential power, rather than a vocation of the independent delivery

of justice. And when the president talks that way and senior members of law

enforcement do not push back publicly, they risk that infecting the way both

law enforcement and the public thinks about the function. If Rosenstein and

Sessions were forced from office, either because they found the conditions

unacceptable and resigned or because they were fired, there would be an

immediate crisis with respect to the Russia investigation and the question of

whether the president would then be able, either by installing somebody or by his

own action, to destroy that investigation would be immediate and acute. Congress

can do a number of things to prevent that. The first, which certain members

have already done, is to speak up very loudly about that as an unacceptable

situation. Senator Grassley, who chairs the

Judiciary Committee, has made clear that there will not be a confirmation hearing

for another attorney general. Senator Graham said very clearly that the firing

of Mueller could mark the beginning of the end of the Trump presidency. So,

members are speaking out. But, the second thing that members can do is follow

through on that and make clear that the president cannot expect their support on

any matters related to the interference with the Mueller investigation or the

removal of the senior leadership of the Justice Department. This is not the way

they behaved with respect to the firing of Jim

Comey, where a lot of them said nothing or did very little, or in some cases,

actively supported it. It's fair to say that the fact that these interferences

did not end with Comey seems to have waken a few people up and Congress's

reaction to the possibility of a sessions or Rosenstein or Mueller removal

it's been very different from the reaction to Comey's removal.

Christie Brinkley can't find a man?! * And 12 more true weird news stories! #DDWN - Duration: 5:27.

From DailyDoseOfWeirdNews.com, I'm Darren Marlar… and this is your Daily Dose of Weird

News!

A dozen years ago a guy from England had a brilliant plan for making money on the Internet:

He would create a website made up of a million pixels arranged in a 1000 by 1000 grid, then

sell 10 x 10 blocks for $1.

Today, in 2017, people are still finding creative ways to make a quick buck online.

For example, HowManyPeoplePaidADollarToSeeHowManyPeoplePaidADollar.com.

The owner of the site makes money be selling you — for $1 — the right to see how many

people have paid $1 to see how many people have done the thing you just did.

A driver in England crashed his $340,000 Ferrari an hour after he bought it.

The sports car was totaled but the driver walked away with only cuts and bruises.

***Also totaled was this guy's ego and his rate on auto insurance.

A supermarket in Scotland has come up with a relaxed check-out line where people are

encouraged to take their time, talk and ask the cashier questions.

***And that sounds like a great idea... as long as nobody is behind you.

If there is, then that SUCKS!

Now they're talking about Sean Spicer being on the next season of Dancing with the Stars.

***Well he's already used to dancing around reporters questions, so why not!

When police in England stopped a taxi driver for speeding one recent evening, he blamed

it on his passengers' foul-smelling flatulence.

***There's a lesson to be learned here.

If the farts are IN your car, you can't drive away from them - no matter how fast

you go.

The Pentagon reportedly spends $84-million on erectile dysfunction medication every year.

***Okay... somebody needs to show me in writing what the definition of "national defense"

actually is in this country.

Women prefer real men.

As in men who have hairy chests and beer bellies, rather than men who dress well and get manicures.

That's the word from a survey of British women conducted by Lion Bar Ice Cream.

They found 80% of women consider the metrosexual traits of hair straightening and frequent

tanning to be a sexual turnoff.

The poll also found that 10% of women like the smell of beer on a man's breath, while

20% admitted they are attracted to men with "a bit of body odor."

***Well then – if I'm ever single again I'm moving to Britain, post haste!

Anne Hathaway is in talks for the title role in a live-action "Barbie" movie.

***Which sounds almost as appealing as a sequel to "Jem and the Holograms".

Almost.

If you want to be so happy, whistle while you work -- either literally or figuratively.

You need to find a job that offers meaningful work where you believe your contributions

are adding to the company's big goals.

"That can be the most powerful force to keeping people happy," says Dr. Jonathon Halbesleben

(an associate professor of organizational behavior at the University of Alabama).

While a competitive salary and benefits package are essential, they are not what ultimately

make us happy at work or stay at the job.

One way to achieve a happy workplace is through "job crafting."

This is a radical idea -- at least from the boss's point of view -- where employees write

their own job description based on what they're interested in with specific tasks that suit

their skills and make them happy.

***I can understand why the boss might be a bit nervous about that idea.

My perfect job description would be spending 8-hours a day watching Netflix while eating

Cheetos.

Christie Brinkley says it's hard to meet "nice guys" at age 63.

***I'm finding that very difficult to believe because, well, she's Christie Brinkley and

men from the age of 20 to 120 want to date her.

Police in Iceland really want drivers to stop looking at the Northern Lights.

Iceland's Road and Coastal Administration, is trying to figure out how to deal with tourists

suddenly parking their cars in the middle of Iceland's highways to snap photos of the

lights.

***Have you tried the OFF switch?

President Trump donated his entire second quarter salary as president to the Department

of Education.

***Where teachers will educate our children in the English language so they can someday

become President of the United States and speak with a sixth-grade vocabulary.

For a brief period on Thursday Amazon CEO Jeff Bezo overtook Bill Gates as the world's

richest person with $90.9 billion.

***Good for him.

He no longer has to rent his bowling shoes.

Can Racerstar BR2205 still be recommended? - Duration: 10:19.

here's my X210 with the original RacerStar BR 2205 and this X210 has

a 3d printed mount; ah, 3d printed pod, but it performs same as regular x210.

So, I have been using this BR 2205. It is not 'S' version It is original version,

It has been performed fantastically. This motor doesn't really have that much

torque, to be honest, but, to me, it flies pretty well actually flies

pretty fast. Today, temperature here in Cheongju Korea

is 32 degrees celsius this I don't know how much that is in Fahrenheit. Today is

it's going to be terrible day for its pretty hot day for motor to perform its

best. Let's see how this motor performs and FYI these motors are

about seven months old. One of them actually crashed so I replaced to the

purple one. But, except for that, they all performed fantastic. Let's see how it

performs and see if this motor is relevant and if this motor can be

recommended in 2017 and beyond. I guess...

yeah, I crushed hard. Bent up a prop. I'm going to pop it back.

Actually it flew pretty well for being crashed into a tree after bending a prop.

it actually flew really well. I gotta swap the prop, because that prop is bent super hard.

and today's a hot day, so it would not fly well as much as I wanted to.

And also I haven't flawn this quad for two weeks because it's been raining

real hard in Korea. Let me try it again. Yes, I couldn't fly fast.

I could fly it faster, so let me try it.

well, that was good exercise

oh my god, I have never thrown a rock like that ever in my life. Gosh!

Hate my life. I was too cocky when I flew it and this happened.

yeah don't be too cocky when you fly. God dang it. I mean the second flight went

really well. yeah, second crash. oh man... Wearing me out... I told you that it is

32 degrees Celsius, so it's pretty hot. it's not zero fahrenheit. if then, I

wouldn't be sweating like this...

As you saw in the video, this motor gives me decent trust, decent speed

and I wouldn't say this motor is fast enough, but I've seen people using this

motor for race and I apologize for calling this motor as RS2205.

RS2205 is the Emax motor, not this one. This motor is BR2205. After I flew this

quad the motor got pretty hard, but it was just as hot as any other motors I have

experienced in the weather. This motor definitely lacks torque.

Despite the fact that this motor doesn't have that much torque, I still

recommend this model for beginners. This motor is still at $7.62

which is really cheap, and, if you break it, you can just replace it. For me

this motor lasts forever actually. It actually lasted longer than my T-Motor

F60 pro, so I mean this motor is pretty durable. The motor is pretty light, so I

mean I wouldn't say this motor is best for the light build, but,

if you are low on budget but you want like light build, this motor might be one of

your consideration. With this motor, I have used the HQ 5044

5040 4 bladed prop, and this prop, despite for being it four bladed prop, is

pretty light prop, so this motor could handle this prop pretty well and this prop

gives me significantly more thrust than any other props with with this much (prop) weight.

Especially, it doesn't really have mass around the center and towards the end,

so it's really pretty to easy for this motor to spool up, so I really recommend this

Propeller. oh yeah, my set is breaking down, so I think it is time for me to wrap up

oh man! it's time for me to wrap up! This motor, I recommend for beginners.

Still, this is mid-2017, but this motor can be recommended for beginners

because you can just replace it. It's dirt cheap, and this motor still is fast

It's fast enough for beginners to experience the fast quad, and this is

good transition for beginners to go to the better motor. You could go with

the better motor with the more durability or fast more thrust, so you can

get better fast faster, maybe faster, because you are experiencing higher

thrust, but I would say that you should go with cheap motors and keep

breaking it and replace it with cheap motor. You should always

take a risk when you practice. If you have cheaper motor, then you're more

likely to take a risk and there's more chance for you to get better.

But if you get more expensive motor you might fly it more conservatively, and your

skill might not get better. Because, everyone else except for the top

youtubers we're not sponsored pilots, so we don't we can't really afford to break

$25 motors. But, this motor is 7.... around the 8 dollars. So.... with this motor, when I do the

freestyle, I use this on quad. Because even if I break it I know that

Simple Changes That Can Help Your Thyroid Naturally | Natural Cures - Duration: 3:17.

Maintaining a hormonal balance is crucial in protecting our overall health.

Since hormones are chemical messengers that move rapidly in our bloodstream, they help

our organs do what they're supposed to do.

Starting at menopause, women and men start having to live with a drop in the production

of hormones and should take extra care to maintain their health.

However, in addition to the drop in hormone production already expected during this time,

people may also develop a thyroid nodule which greatly affects our hormonal balance.

Hormones affect our lives in a number of ways because they regulate crucial aspects such

as:

- our body temperature; - sexual appetite;

- growth and development of organs; - reasoning and our humor; - our metabolism, that is,

our ability to breakdown nutrients.

The balance of hormones is essential for a healthy body.

Unfortunately, they may become unbalanced when changes occur in the thyroid gland.

The thyroid is shaped like a small butterfly and is located in the neck, above the collarbone.

It produces the hormones that will control the rhythm of the body's various activities.

That includes the body's ability to burn calories and control the heartbeat.

Because this balance is somewhat delicate, we need to maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle

to avoid any damage, such as thyroid nodule formation, which may impede the regular production

and release of hormones in the body.

People with a thyroid nodule problem may also benefit from these changes.

Here's how to protect your thyroid and improve your hormone balance:

- Increase your intake of vitamin D through food, supplements, or even sunlight.

- Incorporate kelp into your diet to benefit from the iodine.

- Eat seafood rich in selenium.

- Include zinc in your daily diet.

- Try to drink coconut water regularly.

- Drink natural fruit and vegetable juices.

- Exercise regularly.

- Spend plenty of time outside in the fresh air, going places such as beach and parks.

- Rest, try to have fun, and stay in a good mood.

- Learn to eat green leafy vegetables like cabbage and broccoli.

They should be consumed regularly, but also sparingly, since their nutrients in excess

can lead to hypothyroidism.

- Try to reduce your stress levels.

- Remove processed foods from your diet.

- Avoid soy-based foods.

These tips appear simple, but certain habits can be very difficult to break.

Don't try to do everything at once, just do whatever is possible and reasonable for

you.

With small changes, you'll be able to change your life over time and succeed in improving

your hormonal balance.

What we can learn from Nixon's 'Saturday Night Massacre' - Duration: 7:23.

WILLIAM BRANGHAM: Now for some political history, with a look back at a pivotal chapter from

Watergate.

Recently, Judy Woodruff sat down with a Nixon administration official who was in the thick

of it back then and is watching today's news with a wary eye.

JUDY WOODRUFF: It was a political drama with parallels today, one that pitted a president

against the U.S. Justice Department, and jolted Washington on the night of October 20, 1973.

President Richard Nixon that day was trying to get rid of the special prosecutor investigating

the Watergate scandal.

His attorney general, Elliot Richardson, refused to carry out the order and resigned.

Richardson's deputy, William Ruckelshaus, who immediately became acting attorney general,

also refused, and he followed Richardson out the door.

In the end, President Nixon succeeded in getting the special prosecutor discharged.

But the Nixon presidency only lasted another 10 months.

The episode has been dubbed the Saturday Night Massacre.

And William Ruckelshaus, one of the central characters from that night, joins us now.

Thank you very much for being with us, Bill Ruckelshaus.

Forty-four years ago, this happened.

How fresh is it in your memory?

WILLIAM RUCKELSHAUS, Former Deputy Attorney General: Well, it will be there as long as

I'm around.

It certainly became a very important part of my life and affected it directly for the

next several months.

But it's never left my consciousness.

JUDY WOODRUFF: Were you worried at the time that President Nixon would get away with what

he was trying to do?

WILLIAM RUCKELSHAUS: Not really.

I didn't think at the time that the American people would tolerate firing a man who is

essentially hired by the Senate and by the Justice Department to investigate crimes that

they expected were committed by the president.

JUDY WOODRUFF: How similar -- and you have written about this recently -- how similar

and how different are what happened back then to what's going on right now with the Trump

presidency and the Russia investigation?

WILLIAM RUCKELSHAUS: Well, one difference is in the nature of the people involved.

These two presidents are clearly not the same kind of person.

There was also a Republican administration and a Democratic Congress back in 1973.

And, today, we have one party dominating both the presidency, as well as the Congress.

In many respects, the rest of it is similar.

Now, in the first place, we don't know whether President Trump will try to fire Bob Mueller,

the special counsel, as he's now called.

But he might.

And he's hinted that he might.

And if he does, I expect the result will be the same, that the public will, once they

digest it, not tolerate it.

JUDY WOODRUFF: We know that he certainly expressed a desire for Bob Mueller to step down.

He doesn't -- he isn't happy with what he's doing.

If he can't get someone or the process to remove Robert Mueller, do you believe he could

use some sort of executive order to remove him?

WILLIAM RUCKELSHAUS: Well, I think he can remove him if he wants to.

He would have to be discharged by now the deputy attorney general, since General Sessions

has recused himself from this investigation.

But he could just keep going down the list of Justice Department employees, and finally

find somebody who would carry out his wishes.

I don't think that's going to be an issue for him, if that's what he wants to do.

But that's not what's going to sink him.

JUDY WOODRUFF: You wrote about this, this week.

You also said that you thought the public anger today is not as great against President

Trump as it was then against President Nixon.

WILLIAM RUCKELSHAUS: I think that's right, on this issue that we're talking about.

Trump has only been in office six months, a little over six months, whereas Nixon had

been there for four years, had been reelected, and had been there for about a year.

And he was also vice president, of course, under President Eisenhower.

So, the public had had a long time to get used to President Nixon and what he was all

about.

They haven't had all that time with President Trump.

So, they're not adjusted enough to his habits, I don't think, to decide that he should be

impeached or in some way driven out of office.

It's just too soon.

JUDY WOODRUFF: William Ruckelshaus, the country clearly did survive Watergate.

It racked the country.

It racked the government at the time.

But the country survived and moved on.

What do you think that, and what do you think today's controversy with regard to the Russia

investigation says about our government, says about our people?

WILLIAM RUCKELSHAUS: It says we're confused, Russian.

The administrative branch, at least, is doing extraordinary things to please him.

And many of the people in the Congress are confused by these actions.

Both parties want to investigate why the Russian government interfered with our election.

That's a very serious charge to make.

It's a very serious thing for them to do.

One of the central tenets of a democracy is to be able to have a free vote for your leadership.

And having taken that vote, then to find a long-term antagonist like Russia to interfere

with the exercise of that kind of power is really quite extraordinary.

And I think this investigation should be carried out by Bob Mueller.

I think he's a first-rate prosecutor, first-rate public servant.

It will be credible.

It will be fair.

And we will be -- the public will be satisfied that justice will have been done.

JUDY WOODRUFF: One other thing you told us, Bill Ruckelshaus, that you wanted -- that

was on your mind, and that is, as you watch the Trump administration, the Trump White

house, the challenge of serving both the president and the American people at the same time,

when those two things may come in conflict.

WILLIAM RUCKELSHAUS: That's a good question.

When I was confirmed, just as Elliot Richardson had been three months earlier, we both pledged

that we would not discharge that special prosecutor, except for extraordinary improprieties.

And when you are faced with the question of obeying the president's order, you don't decide

not to do that lightly.

You take that very seriously.

After all, he was elected, and you weren't.

So you don't always get your way in terms of what you want to do.

But if he asks you to do something that you believe is fundamentally wrong, then you shouldn't

do it.

And you should tell yourself that before you go into one of these jobs in Washington, so

that you don't find yourself compromising your principles or your conscience.

JUDY WOODRUFF: Something for every administration, every group of people who serve every president

to remember.

William Ruckelshaus, joining us from Seattle, thank you very much.

WILLIAM RUCKELSHAUS: Thank you, Judy.
