If the Lincoln Towncar doesn't hold the all time record for car fornication, then

I don't know what does.

 Think of all the proms, weddings, taxis, and horny 1990's businessmen!

...Actually don't.

 Today on the Car Truth Report, we delve into what made the Lincoln Towncar loved by

millions, and why you should love it too!

The Lincoln Towncar, which ran from 1981 to 2011, and sold over a million units, was in

our opinion, the last REAL luxury car that Lincoln ever made.

 It may not seem like anything special today, but when you look at what the average interior

of a car was like in the 1990's, it is no surprise that the Town Car was the most used

limousine chassis of its time.

 I still remember the first time that I got to ride in the back of my friends' dads

regular length Towncar.

 Even though I was only 9 or 10, and knew very little about cars at that time, I still

knew it was special.

 

The TownCar is something that when you try to explain it in the usual way - with stats

- it doesn't really sound that great.

 Even equipped with a V8 - usually a sign of performance - the Lincoln Towncar usually

made right around 200 horsepower.

Though one could be inclined to think that the TownCar's track record for going many

hundreds of thousands of miles may attributed to having such a under-strung engine.

 Hearing of Towncars, or it's two cousins the Grand Marquis, and Crown Vic with over

500,000, or even a million miles on them is not that uncommon.

 Also given the average age of someone who currently drives one of these luxury barges

is about 94, I say the less power the better.

Rattling off a bunch of numbers isn't going to get to the nectar, the essence, of why

we here at the Car Truth Report really love the Lincoln Towncar.

 The real reason TownCar is truly great, is because it was built with a single, uncompromising

mission, comfort.

 Modern "luxury" cars are built with a different ethos: half comfort, and half

performance.

 A perfect example of this was even seen in the Lincoln line-up with the introduction

of the much sportier, closet jaguar,`` Lincoln LS in 1999.

You see, modern seats squeeze you with lumbar support and yadda yadda yadda, but the Towncar's

seats envelope you, like an expensive cushy recliner.

 Modern "luxury" cars suspensions are tuned for cornering on racetracks like the

nurburgring, while the TownCar's air ride suspension, when it wasn't broken, was clearly

designed with straight lines, and potholes in mind.

 There is no reason to be accelerating or turning fast when you are in a Lincoln Towncar,

you will get there when you get there.

 And if you have somehow made it to this point in your life, without riding in or driving

a towncar, then we here at the Car Truth Report would highly recommend it, so at the very

least you can see what luxury used to be like, for better or for worse.

Why NOT To Lock Your Car With Your Remote - Duration: 1:19.

Today I'm going to show you why you shouldn't use your remote to lock your car.

Sure, it's handy to lock your door using your remote and walking away.

But with modern car sometimes it's not a good idea, thieves can have receiving units.

They can get the frequency coming off of your key remote, then they can get into your car

when your gone.

Now especially if you are parking in one of these huge parking lots, it's kind of dark

inside.

People could be hiding in one of these cars with a scanner or they could be behind a post

somewhere and when you lock your car they can get that code and then they can get in

your car.

But there is a way to prevent it.

Instead of using your key remote to lock the car, just push the button in the car.

When you leave the car just push the lock button, the doors lock, and there is no signal

sent out so no one can pick anything up.

And this method is safe because it doesn't broadcast anything wireless, it just send

electricity to the door lock motors and locks them.

Or you can go really low tech, and just lock it with the key like we use to.

So it your worried about people stealing the stuff that is in your car, and maybe the whole

car too, now you know what to not to do.

Hi I'm Andrew from Diesel Care Today I want to show you just how much trust

I have in the filter systems we put in our Diesel Care auxiliary fuel filter kits now

you're going to think I'm insane doing this, and maybe I am, but I really want to prove

a point here.

So this demonstration has a nice clean jar of diesel here and we have a pipe here which

leads directly in to the fuel system of this vehicle we're bypassing the factory filter

this time we're going just into the secondary 5 micron filter before I do that I'm going

to contaminate it with this muddy dirty water so here we go we're going to tip this straight

in here now I'm going to start the vehicle and draw it straight into the vehicle

OK I've just removed the auxiliary filter out of this vehicle and most of it's in the bottom

in the bowl but there's a fair bit of it caught up in here as well so I'll change this filter

and get the car going again.

So there you are folks I have confidence in this system that it's going to protect this

engine and fuel system from contaminated diesel most of the time that contamination is water

just like today but often it's other things

But the point I'm making is get one of these secondary fuel filter kits from Diesel Care

and you won't have a problem.

How To Enhance Your Car's Gloss! - Maserati - Chemical Guys Car Care - Duration: 4:44.

What's up guys, today in the Detail Garage I'm going to show you how to properly wash

your car.

In our previous video we washed the wheels using the Gerbil Brushes.

It took care of all the brake dust and debris and revived that factory shine.

Moving onto the paint it has this beautiful deep blue metallic finish which is muted by

all the dust.

So we're going to foam the car up and gently wipe it off.

Over here we have two buckets set up already, both full of water.

One is for our soap solution, I'll insert one Dirt Trap placing it in at an angle and

pressing it all the way to the bottom to prevent air getting trapped underneath it.

Also for our rinsing bucket we will repeat the same process, placing it in at an angle

and pressing it all the way to the bottom.

This ensures we don't bring that dirt back on to the vehicle which reduces scratching.

I've also got our TORQ Snow Foamer set up with Glossworkz Wash.

This is the soap we have chosen to give us tons of suds so we don't scratch as we wash.

I'll start by rinsing down the vehicle and then we can get into the foaming process.

After activating our foam bucket we'll grab some suds with the wash mitt.

We'll start at the highest point just like we did when we rinsed it.

Working in straight lines at the highest point prevents us from bringing dirt into areas

that we have already washed.

By washing in straight lines this prevents the chances of installing swirls which are

a lot easier to notice and a lot harder to polish out.

So now that we are done washing the Maserati lets rinse it off and take it inside to continue

the Glossworkz treatment by applying Glossworkz Glaze.

That is going to enhance the metallic in the blue paint while filling minor scratches and

swirls for a perfect finish.

So I've just finished washing and drying this Maserati using Glossworks Wash and After Wash

helped me dry by breaking the surface tension between the water and paint to reduce water spots.

Now you can see it has a deep blue shine but we still want to enhance that as well as protect

the paint.

That is why we are going to glaze it with Glossworkz which compliments the color as

well as the soap we used earlier.

Applying it by machine will spread a fine thin coat that saves us time, money and effort.

So that is going to help enhance the metallic flake while filling those imperfections for

a mirror finish.
