Jim Rohn - How to Break a Bad Habit (Jim Rohn Motivation) - Duration: 10:31.

Jim Rohn: now some decisions are incidental and some are small and some you know are

part of a working day but sometimes decision-making can be one of the most

important days of your life may be a decision you have postponed and

postponed and now you understand the penalty of postponing that decision

you've got to do something and finally you come to the conclusion today is the

day I now decide and whether you decide on a new direction whether you decide on

a refinement in philosophy whether you decide to act when before you haven't

acted you decide on a on a series of things that you're going to do you

decide deciding can be such an incredibly important very exciting

inspirational day also deciding sometimes starts the process of lifting

our self-esteem sometimes when you look back on it the day that you decided was

just about as exciting as the day when you finally accomplished the project

that when you finally made the decision you finally got the monkey off your back

as we say in English you finally know got through whatever barriers kept you

from making that decision and finally you made a decision and now it seems

like the sky is blue and the air is clear and your mind is ready and you

know the adrenaline starts to flow things start to happen to you from that

moment of decision so that can be an incredible source of inspiration now if

you don't follow through it's not gonna last all that long if you decide and

then you know postpone and and you decide and but you don't still don't get

to it for a week or a month or a year you know soon all that energy and that

source of inspiration is all dissipated so deciding is inspiring but but not for

that long but once you decide it can be a very powerful day but now of course

you now you must follow through but if there's some things you've been

postponing some decisions you have just you know

haven't gotten to I would ask you to just you know take out your journal and

just go through you know what have I been postponing it's not gonna be better

for my health it's not gonna be better for my future it's not going to enhance

my finances maybe a problem needs to be solved I got to decide when I'm gonna do

it and and how I'm gonna proceed I need to get to it I promise you if you'll go

through some of that list and start making those decisions your inspiration

will start to flow and those could be very critically important exciting days

indecision is the thief of opportunity indecision means the door is still

closed indecision means the opportunity waits

indecision means what could be is postponed or may never be you know that

those are all the penalties of indecision and sometimes we can't make a

snap judgment we can't decide immediately on something so important

but after a while after a while we must understand sometimes they have a penalty

of putting off our our decision-making so one source of inspiration deciding

here's the next one planning now that you've decided and

you've started you start making plans it's in incredible what can happen as a

source of inspiration when finally what's in your head what's in your

imagination now finally starts to take shape on paper when I first heard about

network marketing I was 25 years old and I heard some of the testimonials and I

heard that people have gotten rich and I've heard that it's changed people's

lives and I've heard that you could start with nothing and become something

but let me tell you what was exciting when I finally made the decision yes I

was going to be part of the industry yes I was gonna make it part of my marketing

future what was really exciting was when I sat

down and started making plans I started committing the imagination and

belief to paper I started writing it down

I started started as we often do drawing those circles you know what if I had

five what if I had ten and then when I had a concept of what that could bring

for me then I said how can I reach the first five how can I reach the first ten

what could I do starting to make those plans I'm telling

you I remember those days as if they were yesterday they were so exciting I

had a concept of what I wanted I had a dream of what could happen for me if it

could happen for others maybe it could happen for me but when I started putting

it on paper and started making the plans that was an incredible source of

inspiration for me because the plans seemed to now start making it real that

what I had thought about what I dreamed about now I'm actually getting to it by

making a plan however you can make all the plans in the world and it is a

source of inspiration for only so long and you can make one plan and then you

can make another plan and you can make some plans today and the next day you

can make some more plans in the next day you can make some more plans and it is a

very exciting source of inspiration but only for a while I'm sure we would all

agree that making plans that inspiration wouldn't last for a week now that

inspiration now must drive you to do number three the first source of

inspiration is deciding second source of inspiration is planning

and now here's a big source of inspiration beginning getting started

actually turning thought and the notes on the paper the plans actually now

committing it to action getting started and beginning can be an incredible

source of inspiration guess what you can say when you begin a change in your diet

when you begin to take the Herbalife products guess what you can say I'm on a

new track I have carved out for myself a new beginning I'm on my way to the

most incredible health I will never be the same again

I'm leaving the old undisciplined part of me I'm leaving that behind I'm a new

person I'm taking my first shake I'm swallowing the first tablets I made my

first you know walk around the block that I thought about for slow long and

never did I finally did it today I've started I have begun that is

an incredible source of inspiration and that is to start to begin you cannot

believe what can happen to your self-esteem and many of you have already

experienced it I'm just asking you to begin something new in all the areas of

your life maybe you've always thought about benevolence and you just haven't

gotten started or you haven't made the plans or you haven't made the decision

I'm asking you to start taking that stuff now that's in your head that

imagination which is very powerful and it's a great source of inspiration in

itself but then I'm asking you then to decide

use that inspiration then I'm asking you to make plans begin to make plans use

that inspiration and then if you take that first step it can be the first step

of an incredible journey and when Mark had his first meeting when

mark recruited his first distributor when mark got his first customer his

grandmother using the product when Mark got that first few yeses from people and

he started the process as simple as it was you know from the trunk of his car

you know as crude as the literature wasn't the beginning it was a start and

so beginning can be an incredible source of inspiration and beginning can be many

things a beginning a new commitment to learning you say I'm gonna have a

library second to none and I bought the first book of my new library today I'm

gonna be surrounded by information and inspiration

the cassette tapes and the videos and the books I'm gonna have a library

second to none I've thought about it it wouldn't it be wonderful and you know

I've started making plans you know I've provided some space in my room for my

expanded library but here's what's exciting I got the first book today I've

gotten started this is just the first of many many books this is the first of a

whole flow of information for me this is the first time you want to learn a new

skill and you sign up for a class let's say you want to learn accounting or

something in you you sign up for the class and you take the first class you

get started you'd thought about it you made some plans for it you made some

time for it but there's nothing like sitting there in the class with the pin

in your hand and the pad ready to take notes Here I am I'm starting on a new

journey of learning but the real question is if we fight what's happened

we've got a problem we can decide what are we gonna do with what's happening in

our life how are we gonna take this how are we gonna Mull this how we're gonna

turn our life around because when you come up with a new meaning get a new

life so what are we gonna do in this session in this session we're gonna take

a look at something from a different perspective we're gonna ask you this

question what is the single force that controls the quality of your life

if there was one gift our Creator has given us or the universe whatever you

believe what is it

In The Cave Episode #43: How To Start Conversations On Social Media - Duration: 6:51.

- This week we're talking about ways

to make social media more social.

- And Taylor makes an appearance

to show the agility of a cat. (hisses)

(pop music)

- Do you like white belts?

- 'Cause I got one.

- What's up, guys?

Welcome to another episode of In the Cave.

I'm Justin Kerby.

- I'm Jordan Scheltgen.

- A.k.a. Bruce Lee, and today we are talking

to you guys aboutttttttttttt --

- We're talking about how to make

social media more social.

- That's correct.

- And four tips on how to do that.

- Four tips on how to make social media more social.

One way to kick off getting social

is to drink beer, so let's do that.

- First, what's our beer today?

- We are drinking Paulaner's Salvator Double Bock.

Paulaner's a pretty good beer.

- 7.9% alcohol, so this is gonna be a ride.

All right, cheers, pal.

- Cheers, good luck.

I guess, yeah, it should be strong.

- No, yech.

Nope.

- It tastes like a double bock.

- Whatever that means, nope.

- (laughs) All right, I'm gonna give that a...

I think I'm gonna probably rate it

higher than you.

I'm giving it a five out of 10.

- No, three, hard three.

- That's pretty low.

- All right, let's get in on this.

How to make it more social.

- Speaking of three, four ways

to make social media more social.

Number one, let's talk about LinkedIn.

What should you do on LinkedIn?

- Okay, this is something for you guys,

and it's kinda what you- - Taylor.

- What you should do and what you shouldn't do.

Cameraman's been drinking.

It's okay.

What you shouldn't do is take endorsements.

What I mean by that, or give endorsements.

That's when, as you see Microsoft Word...

(thud)

- You know, sometimes people ask us

why Taylor isn't in more of the videos.

I think he might of just-

- It's a mystery, a mystery.

- Anyways, thanks for sticking with us.

LinkedIn, how do you be more social on LinkedIn?

I think you were just getting into that part.

- Yeah, so we've all gotten those

endorsements on LinkedIn before

for Microsoft Word and dog grooming

and all this stuff that you don't do,

you don't care about.

LinkedIn endorsements are like participation medals.

Everyone gets 'em, nobody cares.

What you can do instead, give recommendations

to people, people you work with.

Go and write a paragraph, tell 'em

how much you enjoyed working with them,

or just that they seem professional

in any capacity.

- It's an extra step, it takes a little bit

more time, but it pays way bigger dividends.

When you catch yourself going

into people's profiles and clicking

endorsement for public speaking

when you've never heard them public speak,

or for things like Word that, like,

who the hell knows if someone's

good at Word or not?

Just stop, shake your head a little

or give yourself a glass of cold water

or something and go and write a recommendation for someone.

If you like working with someone,

write a recommendation, tell them

why you like working with them.

No one's ever written a recommendation

that said, "I love how you use Word documents."

It's not a thing.

Write something that is from the heart,

and be social on social media,

like the title of this video.

Next, Twitter.

- Talk to me, talk to me.

Twitter, what's your favorite way

to go and actually-

- I think that one of the things

that we both really like is Twitter chats.

So, Twitter chats are hosted usually

weekly by either a company or a person,

and they kind of vary around anything.

There's definitely a beer Twitter chat,

there's a marketing Twitter chat,

there's Snapchat Twitter chats.

It's a bunch of people getting together

at the same time on Twitter and answering

questions about things that usually

a host of the chat will ask.

So, we do have some resources

for if you wanna find Twitter chats

and participate with them, we'll add those

in the show notes at cavesocial.com/show.

But on top of that, I think there's

a couple things that you shouldn't be doing.

Don't be sending automated direct

messages to people.

That's number one, I think that's

probably Jordan and I's most hated

thing on the web outside of pop-ups.

If you wanna talk with someone on Twitter,

tweet at them and give an actual,

thoughtful tweet, 140 characters, about-

- Approach it like a room you walk into.

You wouldn't walk in with a megaphone, screaming.

A lot of people, they set their Twitter up,

there's (burbles), and then they leave it

and they don't actually engage with people.

If somebody puts out a tweet, go back at them,

"Oh, that's a cool article.

"Oh, I never knew that."

Start these actual one-on-one

relationships with people.

In Twitter chats, a great way to find

people you know are active on a platform.

- Instead of spending time setting up

automated direct messages and automated

followings and all that kinda stuff,

just go out and build one relationship

with somebody on Twitter.

That is more likely to, you're more likely

to reap dividends from that than you are

from any sort of automated thing.

Next, we wanna talk about is Facebook.

How to be more social with your page.

- One of the things we see all the time

is when people first start on Facebook,

they get their 10 likes, they're posting,

they're posting, they're posting,

nobody's engaging, nothing.

What you can do, find someone

who's already big in your industry.

Find someone who shares a customer base with you.

Go to their page, hop in their comments

section, have additional context that you

can add to the existing conversation

in their comments section, and then also

respond to people.

If someone had a question, chances are

that influencer or that business,

they might not be on checking it.

If you can answer that question,

you become the new authority,

and people are gonna check out your page

and see what you're about.

- On the right hand side of everyone's page,

there's a little button that says "act as your page."

Go ahead, take the time, like pages

that are relevant to yours on Facebook,

comment on them, get in conversations, meet people.

Social media, try and be social with it.

I think it kind of is in the name,

but a lot of people miss out on that.

There's not a lot of people doing it,

so there's definitely low-hanging fruit

out there for you to grab and for your business to grab.

Last thing we wanna talk about is something

that we just did here at Cave,

is go live and answer questions from people.

So, if you're going live, be sure

that your phone is either in front of you

so that you can see the questions

that people are asking, or someone

that's filming you can tell you

what the questions are that are coming in.

But that's a great way to engage with your audience.

If you go live, there's a bunch

of people that'll be watching,

and answering their questions is a great way

to get them to stick around

and keep watching. - And in real time.

- Yeah, exactly.

- If I'm talking with...

If a business goes live and they're

talking to me like a human being

in real time, my connection is just

so much stronger with that business.

- Yeah, it's like they're making a friend

as opposed to watching a brand online.

It's a totally different thing.

- So, those are quick, four quick

and dirty tips to make your social media more social.

I think that's it.

Do you have anything else?

- I have nothing else.

I'm all out of social tips.

- All out, all out.

Until next time, guys, I'm beerless Jordan.

- And if you liked this- - Oh, yeah.

- Hit subscribe in the bottom right hand corner.

Be social with us, that would be fantastic.

Leave a comment, we will respond,

because we are social.

That's Jordan Scheltgen, I'm Justin Kerby.

Thanks for watching, guys, see us next time.

- Adios.

Hi guys! I'm Selene Survival Goddess

and today I want to share with you

The Four Ancient Maritime Knots for Survival.

The third knot you should know is called

The Reef Knot or The Square Knot.

Now for the Reef Knot or The Square Knot,

both pieces of rope or cordage you use

should be preferably of the same material

and the same thickness

otherwise the knot may slip.

A few Reef Knot uses include

tying a bundle of firewood to carry,

reefing sails on a boat,

tying First Aid bandages,

rope belts, and much more.

So here's how to tie the Reef Knot or the Square Knot.

I'll demonstrate how to make

The Reef Knot or The Square Knot.

Take one end of your rope

Go under

and over

and under

like that

Take the top pieces

and go over and under

Like that

tighten it up

And you have The Reef Knot or The Square Knot.

The Reef Knot or The Square Knot

ties two pieces of rope or cordage together.

Practice making these knots in your outdoor projects

Hypnosis in Action: Georgie Forgets how to count - Duration: 3:02.

Georgie... could you come up in front of me?

I get worried about the people in Armidale because I think they are picking on me because I got a bit of disability.

(I can Imagine!)

My disability Georgie is I've got 6 fingers. Can you see those fingers? (That is Five) that is five

Would you do me a favor, count them and point to them as you count? (1-2-4-5-6)

Can you try it again? (1-2-4-5-6) So, there's 6 fingers. Okay. Let's try this side. (1-2-4-5-6)

So, I've got 6 on that hand and I've got 6 on that hand. Correct?

How many is that? Were you good at Maths at school. Lets do it right. How are we gonna do this? Take that.

Now with one hand and with the other hand Georgie are you left or right handed? (Right) Ok hold it with your left hand

and now point and count for me (1-2-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-11) So, 6 and 6 is ... (12) Can we do that again?

(1-2-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-11) Is that right? (6 and 6 is 12) 6 and 6 is 12

Just count that one again not sure it's six (1-2-4-5-6)

Can you hold on for a second? Sleep. The number... the number 7 is gonna vanish in to your mind.

Can you hold on for a second? Sleep. The number...the number 7 is gonna vanish completely from your mind.

Ebony we've got into strife. So, I'm gonna get you both to help me. So, can you start by counting that hand...

and then we'll move and you count that hand. Now, we're looking for what? 12. (12 fingers) Right.

(1-2-4-5-6) (8-9-10-11-12) See. When you work together you can do it.

So, we'll try it again. That's incredible because you can't by yourself. (1-2-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-11)

(1-2-3-4-5-6-8-9-10-11) So when you count it it's 11 and when you count it it's 11, but when you do it together.

(1-2-4-5-6) (8-9-10-11-12) See... you just gotta work together. Thank you ladies. I appreciate it.

How To Rap: 8 Line Theme Drill (Money) - Duration: 2:48.

what's up guys it's Dono so in this video we're going to be going over

another drill as you guys have been asking for I've been trying to make up a

lot more drills this is a themed drill that is a written not a freestyle I did

another drill that was a freestyle theme alright so what we're going to do is

we're going to use a randomly generated word for this drill I've got

money and we're going to start scheming out some ideas and then come up with

eight lines around that theme so the first thing we need to do is brainstorm

words that are related to money I'm going to come up with eight and then use

one for each line you come up with as many as you need here's what I came up

with money bank loan cash paper rich bills bread now of course what we're

going to do is when to take those eight words that we came up with and figure

out how to integrate them into eight lines in some of the other drills I use

the words that we come up with as end rhymes in this drill I'm not necessarily

going to do that so here's the eight lines that I came up with to integrate

all of those words one of the words per line money doesn't make me I only make

money got the bank out of space think I'm making fake money and the only time

I got a loan is sitting by myself there's cash in my future cuz I'm building my wealth

they must have cut down a forest with the paper that I made cuz I'm rich as

the richest got a waiter and a maid while you get bills man I'm just getting

bills man stack bread to the ceiling got the rest stuck on a meal plan and

that's really all there is to it notice how I you know first started got a

random word came up with eight words that were related to that word in some

way if you having trouble with that part use a thesaurus then I use those eight

words in eight lines that each had one of the words that I generated that's

really all there is to this drill but it's going to help you get a little bit

closer to sticking on theme when you're trying to craft up one of your verses I

know this video is super short but hopefully it gave you an idea for how

to do that if you end up doing it following along writing your

own I'd love to see what you come up with that's all I've got for this video as always

if you have any questions comments topics you want me to cover throw them

down in the box below I'll get to them as soon as I can on top of that I got a

full 30-day how to rap course if you want to check that out it'll be in the

link below and I've also got a website rap better.com it's going to have more

free resources for you that's it and I'll see you next time don't forget to

subscribe so you can stay up to date on the videos and if you have any questions

comments or topics you want me to cover leave them down in the box below and I'll get

to them as soon as possible see you next time

How to Meal Plan for Weight Loss (145LBS LOST) - Duration: 7:33.

Hey everybody and welcome to the video.

Today we're talking all about meal planning when you're trying to lose weight.

Let's get into it.

So last week I had made a call to action for all of you.

If anyone was struggling with a certain issue or topic when they were trying to lose weight

to leave a comment and let me know.

I have this idea of, kind of, using walk with me as a deep-dive Q and A of sorts.

For anyone that's having an issue with their weight loss, if there's anything I can explain

in a little more detail and help, just to make things a little bit easier for you.

So I got a comment on last week's 'Walk with Me' from Lisa H and she had asked, "I would

like to see a video describing how you meal planned for weight loss.

Did you use a few recipes over and over or did you have some favorite resources to find

recipes?

Right now I'm in a rut and feeling like everything I plan or eat isn't good enough or won't help

me achieve my goals."

This was a great question, thank you so much Lisa for leaving that.

But to start off with, throughout most of my weight loss or even today, the bulk of

my meals are only a handful of say, 4 or 5 that I cycle through, but I also took a lot

of time experimenting to find those recipes that I enjoy.

So for me it really was a combination of both.

I know you guys have seen all of the time on instagram I'm always posting meal prep

photos of burrito bowls.

I've been eating a burrito bowl practically every day at work for the last several years.

I've made different variations of them with different ingredients and things, but that's

always been a big staple for me even now losing weight now but also on the way down when I

was losing weight.

I've got the recipe for that on here.

So another popular combination that I use all the time is taking some sort of meat,

and some sort of vegetable, and then depending on my calories some sort of starch or side

on top of that.

This is a really good one because the possibilities for this are essentially endless.

Chicken breast is usually my default just because it's easiest to make and actually

turn out good, and the calories and the macros are really good on it.

As far as sides, I love green beans, you guys have seen my green bean recipe, it's an older

one, but I still use that recipe all the time.

And potatoes, you guys saw the potato recipe I just posted that is also a regular of mine.

I'd say those are my two most popular meals that I prep.

Burrito bowls and then that sort of chicken-vegetable-starch combination.

Sometimes I'll do more garlic and herb sort of spicing, or sometimes I'll make more like

asian flavored.

So changing up your spice palette is a really good way to keep that interesting.

But yeah, I think there's something to be said for repetition.

I talked about it a little bit in my willpower fatigue episode a few weeks back.

For me, having those default meals is just one less thing I have to think about.

You probably eat pretty repetitively regardless if your'e dieting or not, so I always just

lean into it and see it as one less decision to make.

But to find those staple meals that work best for you-- because there aren't any meals that

are going to be perfect or ideal for everybody.

Everyone has different tastes, everyone has different calorie and macro needs, and everyone

has different amounts of time to prep the food.

So the best way to figure out what those few staple meals are for you is to experiment.

A few resources that I use to find meals, or that I'd recommend to find meals is to

first off and most importantly take whatever your favorite meals are, and most likely you

can still eat them on your diet or you can tweak them to make them fit into your day.

I don't like the misconception that you have to eat certain foods when you're on a diet

and I think a lot of staple meals for people, if you really take a look at the macros and

the calories, a lot of 'bad meals' aren't really that bad.

I posted that pizza recipe a while back for instance, two slices of that pizza ends up

being like 600 calories and it's a big portion of delicious pizza.

The amount of calories in that is about the same as what's in my burrito bowls.

So don't think you have to wildly change what you're eating, just think more along the lines

of portions and making sure you're hitting your daily numbers or your weekly numbers,

not some specific low calorie meal.

I'm getting a workout in with this new gimbal--- so tired.

My walk to work is mostly uphill and this is just way heavier.

I'm going to have the beefiest shoulders in town.

So some shameless self promotion but another good resource is my channel here.

I want to start making the recipes a more regular appearance on-- a more regular appearance

for the Friday videos.

Most of the things that I eat on a regular basis I've already made recipes for.

It's forced me to experiment a little bit more for you guys, so I can come up with more

ideas and more recipes that work well.

So hopefully my channel can be a really good resource to find new meal ideas.

Beyond my channel, youtube in general is going to be really great for this.

I really love--- it's not a diet food channel but I really love Chef John from Food Wishes.

He's really just OG youtube, he's been making recipe videos since like 2006.

And even though they're not diet recipes, like I said earlier easy tweaks or changes

can turn them into a diet recipe for you.

And even if you're watching recipe videos that you know you won't make, it's a good

way to learn about cooking and it's a good way to help spark ideas for you to create

your own meals.

I come from a family of cooks, so it's kind of always been on the forefront for me.

But yeah, watching cooking shows and learning about cooking has really helped open things

up for me to experiment and make new dishes.

Chef John from Food Wishes is a really good staple of mine, Fit Men Cook is also really

good, he does a lot of really low calorie recipes over there.

Those probably wouldn't need much tweaking to fit into your day, but to sum everything

up it's really a combination.

I really do cycle through pretty repetitively on a few of my favorite meals, but the only

way I was able to find those meals was from experimenting and trying different foods.

Don't be afraid to use some of your old favorites or experiment on some new ones, or eat the

same thing for breakfast or lunch every day.

I hope this helped and I want to thank Lisa again for leaving such a great topic.

And like I had said before, I want to make this a more regular thing, so if you have

any sort of long-form Q and A questions you'd like me to go over, try and keep them broad

where they're going to be beneficial for everybody, I think that would be a good place for this

walk with me series to end up.

That's going to wrap it up for the video.

Make sure if you did enjoy it, subscribe.

I put these out every Monday and I put other videos out every Friday.

And make sure to like the video if you enjoyed the topic or enjoyed the new format, I want

to hear your feedback as always.

And leave me a comment below, let me know what your one or two favorite go-to meals

are, but until next time I will talk to you all later.

Have a good one.

How to Create a Simple Preloader - Duration: 3:23.

Hi there, welcome to Saola Animate Tutorials.

Today, I'll give a short presentation on how to create preloaders.

Large and complex documents can take a long time to load.

It's when you need to use a preloader or a loading screen to tell your viewers to wait.

You can get access to the preloader through the Document pane.

If you don't see this pane, click View on the main menu, then select Document.

Saola Animate offers two preloader types: Default and Custom.

Select either of the two and click Edit to modify as you like.

The default loader contains only a loading indicator.

It has six editable properties.

Drag the handle on the slider,

enter a new value,

or use the mouse wheel to adjust each property value.

All changes are reflected immediately in the preview window.

Most properties like color are easily understood, except two properties having a strong effect on the visual look.

Density specifies the number of shapes in the loading indicator.

The range property adjusts the amount of the modified shapes.

So you can control the number of visible shapes or the length of the bar.

It's the final look of the loading indicator.

Let's see the real view.

If you think that the default loader is a bit simple and boring,

and you want to add animations to make it enjoyable,

select Custom from the Preloader combo box.

A custom preloader is a document, so you can edit it as normal.

Custom preloader document will close if you close the main document

or if you switch from Custom loader to Default loader.

The loading indicator is turned on by default, but you can clear the Loading Indicator check box to turn it off.

Of course, you can modify it as you like.

I'll insert a GIF image so that the viewer won't feel so bored...

and a text telling that "please wait..."

Let's see how it works in reality.

So you can do a lot to delight viewers while they wait.

More advanced understanding about custom loaders will be available in the next tutorial.

Bye for now!

48 Symptoms of Lyme Disease: What They Look Like and How They Feel - Duration: 15:10.

If Lyme Disease was a book, Stephen King would have written it.

That's how twisted this disease is.

People with Lyme Disease experience a carnival of symptoms.

These symptoms bend the mind, and cripple the body.

These symptoms appear so random, and so similar to other diseases, that doctors often spend

years misdiagnosing patients with other conditions like Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Multiple Sclerosis, and Rheumatoid arthritis.

For this reason Lyme is called the great imitator.

It can imitate a host of different diseases, which is why in this video you'll learn to

recognize the symptoms.

You'll learn what to look for, and what the symptoms look like, but more importantly,

you'll get a deeper understanding of how the symptoms feel.

I lived with Lyme Disease for ten years, but it took nine years and almost twenty doctors

to diagnose.

In these ten years , I experienced over thirty symptoms.

These symptoms came in stages, often several at a time.

My initial symptoms were subtle at first.

They got worse, but they came on subtle.

Brain fog, depression, social anxiety, chronic fatigue, memory loss, mood swings, and daytime

sleepiness.

I was 19, and it almost seemed like I had puberty again, except different.

Something I call: Lymeberty.

Lyme messes with your hormones.

It turns us into angsty, terrible little pre-teens.

If you're are a pre-teen with Lyme...you have both.

Learn to laugh.

It's one of the medicines.

Lymberty.

Lymberty robs you of your liberty.

You can't be yourself.

You don't feel like yourself.

You don't know who you're becoming, the same way a pre-teen doesn't know.

You don't know who you're becoming so you have all these different ways of acting out.

After a couple years of living like this, the next batch of symptoms emerged.

Where the first batch messed with my mind, this second batch broke down my body.

These symptoms were: acid reflux, spinal discomfort, food allergies, high blood pressure, itchiness

in public and private places, cold intolerance, cold hands and feet, low body temperature,

a slow heart rate, jaw tension and clenching at night, insomnia, sleep apnea, muscle cramps,

and tremors and fasciculations in my calves, poor coordination, dropping things randomly,

just randomly dropping something while walking, tingling pins and needles in my hands and

feet, electrical sensations down my spine, especially if I did this, when I touched it (my chin to my chest,)

it would cause a sharp electrical pain going down my spine, frequent ear and sinus infections,

musky body odors, a thick white coat on my tongue, and IBS.

I B.S. you not...that S*** was terrible.

Blood tests at this time revealed a very low testosterone for my age, and a low platelet

count.

Symptoms.

With the spinal discomfort, I could never get comfortable when sitting down.

It felt like a snake was in my backbone, and I had to constantly wiggle it out.

Always tring to crack..move it around.

That sensitive snake.

It needs a massage.

My night sweats were so bad that not only were my sheets soaked, my mattress was soaked.

I'd have to change my sheets twice a night sometimes, and not only would I change my

sheets, I would put towels down underneath.

When I was 22, my night sweats were so bad that my skin was moist and clammy all day.

My lymph nodes swelled massively all over my body, and when I saw my infectious disease

doctor, he put me in a CT scan right away.

Afterwards he told me, "I thought you had Lymphoma.

I thought you were a gonner."

Then he put me in an MRI and said, "You probably have MS.

It's not that bad.

Compared to Lymphoma."

That's Lyme.

The great imitator.

Digestion was a huge problem, and I quickly learned through experimentation that I couldn't

tolerate processed foods, carbs, wheat, sugar, dairy and fruit.

The first thing I gave up was wheat, and within a couple weeks my blood pressure went from

170 to 100, 110 sometimes.

That was the first huge indicator for me the power, the effect that food can have on your

health.

The next thing I gave up was sugar, and almost immediately, within a couple days, the night

sweats stopped.

The itchiness also died down, but the night sweats stopped . Any time in following years

where I cheated, and ate something sugary, the night sweats came back.

Sugars also brought on these flash fevers, where I would have a random fever that went

to about 103 degrees, then it'd disappear.

It'd be gone.

It just left me feeling used and abused...like,

why did you do that to me?

My hands and feet were always cold.

My core body temperature went from 98 to 96, sometimes 95.9.

A low body temperature is bad because it allows pathogens to thrive, among other processes

like enzymes...it's bad, you need to raise your temperature for optimal health.

Due to my insomnia, the doctors gave me a sleep study, and they diagnosed me with mild

central nervous system sleep apnea, not obstructive.

When Lyme gets in your brain it's called neuroborelliosis, and that's what caused my ALS-like symptoms.

I often got the muscle cramps in my feet, so bad, like my feet became claws.

It would last for maybe thirty seconds and I had to just had to relax it.

And the same thing with the, when I was sleeping.

I would wake up all the time with Charley horses.

I'd have a Charley horse in my calf or my hamstring and it'd last for like a minute

and I just had to sit there holding it, like my entire leg stretched out.

The pins and needles happened in my legs every time I was sitting down.

My legs would fall asleep.

My hands would fall asleep if I had my arm resting on a cushion.

On a cushion, that was enough to cut off the circulation.

So my circulation was really bed.

And if i was sitting cross-legged my legs would fall asleep in less than a minute.

I couldn't, I hated sitting cross-legged.

I would prop myself up and people would be like, "What are you doing, do you have to

fart?

What's going on?"

The frequent ear and sinus infections, the white coat on my tongue, and the musky body

odors probably meant I had developed a systemic overgrowth of candida, or some other pathogen,

and that's very common with Lyme Disease, to have a co-infection like candida.

When I was 26, many of my earlier symptoms got worse, while a new, insidious group of

symptoms emerged.

SIBO, mindless binge eating, eye floaters, parotid insufflation, where my salivary glands

right here would swell up with air if I blew out like this.

I'd have to deflate them like little balloons.

Also, tooth decay, extreme eye pressure, a weak urinary stream, like I couldn't pee hard

enough, it just came out so slow.

I would also pee 3-4x a night, waking up and never getting a deep sleep.

Bone ache, these achey breaky bones that made me feel...ancient.

My heart hurt.

My heart literally hurt.

Like someone was pulling a string through it, really quickly, like a pluck, like a doctor

was pulling out your stitches with one, methodical rip

rather than threading it out.

One of my ears dropped, like permanent palsy, like you see my glasses, they don't sit right.

It both of them touched right there, this would be how my glasses should be.

My ear dropped.

My glasses used to fit.

When talking to someone sometimes I couldn't remember the word I wanted, and I developed

this weird type of stutter, not so much stuttering but pausing, like my mind was glitching.

Like the word was right there on the tip of my tongue, but there was a hook with a line

pulling it back down.

I couldn't get it out.

Like a lag in a video game.

Sometimes when I stood up too quickly I'd have this weird sort of seizure, where I would

jerk and fall to my knees.

It wasn't like a typical...I've seen epileptic seizures, but this was...I don't know, it

was strange.

Until I was 27 I worked and ran a lot, because exercise was the only thing that treated my

depression and anxiety.

But around the age of 27 I must have burned out, because I couldn't recover anymore.

Even if I did a single squat, I was out for a week.

Imagine you haven't worked out for two months, five months, whatever, and then one day you

do a massive workout.

You know how that next day how sore you are?

How that soreness has a sharpness to it?

Like a creaky, plastic sharpness?

That's how it always felt after even a single squat, after a single mile of running.

My whole body felt like that all the time.

It got to the point where I didn't want to leave my apartment anymore because I hated

the idea of climbing back up the stairs.

Like the stairs were an insurmountable odd against me.

Like I didn't own my body anymore.

Like my body owned me.

Like owned.

Like OWNED.

Like I got owned by my body.

That's how it felt.

This group pf symptoms freaked me out because...it goes to the root of human fears.

Like, one day I was brushing my teeth and then I looked in the mirror and saw my my

teeth were decaying...on the outside.

I saw the roots, and what looked like scabs caving in.

Like something was eating my teeth. That's the stuff of nightmares.

Don't mess with the teeth.

That was game over for me.

I was like ok, something is wrong here.

I have to move.

I also had a few thick white hairs growing on my chin.

If I grew out my beard, these white hairs, I had three or four of them, spread out.

That was clearly showing that my body was stressed, and prematurely aging.

It confirmed how old I felt.

Then one day, when I was 28, a little over a year ago, it felt like my stomach jumped

into my esophagus, like my stomach was right in my xiphoid process, like right there, that

little knot.

And I had pain radiating all around my liver and gallbladder.

And it turned out my heart rate had dropped to 25 beats per minute.

25 beats per minute.

And I had a splitting headache that gave me new appreciation for the cliche, to split

your head in two.

Cliches, when you're sick and you're living them, they're the most real thing you can

experience.

Like oh my god, splitting my head in two, I get it.

But by this time I had so detached from my body that I didn't worry.

Intellectually, I felt like I was dying, like this is the end.

Like finally, whatever it is that I have, it came for me, and I'm going to go.

And so chill, like I was, like nothing was wrong in the world, I walked a mile to Weil

Cornell, the Presbyterian hospital in Lower Manhattan.

I walked there, checked myself into the ER, and said, "I have a heart rate of 25."

They didn't let me leave for four days.

They did every test you could imagine.

I will show you every test they did on me, and I've never seen doctors who were so confused.

Ever.

These doctors were flummoxed.

I had pure consciousness I was articulate, I couldn't explain things.

I told them what was happening.

And I did these heart tests, and they said they, literally, literally, they said they

had never seen such a strong heart.

So whatever was happening was obviously electrical.

it wasn't my heart that was bad.

Something else was going on.

But they didn't get it.

They didn't get it.

This was like the first time that doctors had seen that I had symptoms, I wasn't making

them up, and they could not make sense of it.

I was secretly very happy.

I was like, "Hell yea!

Now you see I'm not making this s*** up, doctors.

I'm not making it up.

I can't consciously lower my heart rate.

I'm not a yogi.

Like the nurse, one of the nurses looked at me, when I was checking out, because my heart

rate had raised to 40, and I was like I am getting out of here.

I can't spend another day in the hosptial.

You guys don't know what's going on.

I'm going to figure it out.

So one of the nurses looked ot me and said, "I have never seen someone who was, who looked

so ill, but seemed so healthy."

It's the paradox of Lyme.

I don't udnerstand it either.

I don't know.

So, after this episode, I finally realized that the traditional doctors could not help

me, so after this I sought out a funtional medicine doctor and that's a story you can

hear in my last video, My Life in the Lymelight.

If you have or know someone who has Lyme, or might have Lyme, please share this video.

And share it with their friends and family.

Because they need to know what it's like.

They need to understand.

They need to know that this disease is not just in that person's head.

It's true, and it's real.

And we need help.

We need to heal.

In the next video in this series I'll share with you my bloodwork, and all the random

tests I took over the years.

Thank you for watching.

Subscribe because you will help build this channel, and that will help spread the word

on Lyme Disease, on what we need to do to, to truly heal ourselves.

And don't forget to play.

Make yourself play.

Live whys and profit.

Just find a way.

Even if it doesn't feel natural at first, play, for me, in the first, when I first started

playing around, like being playful with myself again, trying to feel young, it did't feel

natural, but work through it.

Nothing feels real with Lyme.

Just play.

Just bring that lightheartedness back into yourself.

So thank you again.

Live Whys an Profit.

Even if you can't sing.

Yea.

Play on.
