but for those who didn't know about the update yet
we have decided - wait, what have we decided?
Stacey: For Instagram, we are separating.
yeah, we are getting our own Instagram
Lilo: but it's for a good reason,
It is because
we realized that we have been trying
agree on photos on our Instagram, but
but we realized that we have different taste
different style.
my photography, and hers photography are different
so that's why we decided have our own Instagram
Stacey: yeah, that's right
If you look at it, you maybe could tell the difference
her style is different, and mine style as well
so it's hard to work it out together
so we decided to do this
but! That means you have more stories
Lilo: yes!

Just understand that we are still together for the blog
Twitter, Pinterest, etc.
everything else, it is just Instagram
that's all!
It is not like we decided "break up," nothing like that
Just only Instagram.

What's Going on With Instagram? [2017] - Duration: 5:41.
Hey there, it's Ashley Perkins!
Welcome back to the best place to build income, influence and impact for your business or
brand online.

I remember when I first hopped on the Instagram for business bandwagon.
I was so excited to have a platform to share my story, build my brand, and grow this community
without the restrictions of an algorithm or pay to play that we all knew Facebook for.
As you probably know, a lot has changed on Instagram since Facebook took the wheel.
Between business profiles, the new algorithm, advertising, and the shadowban epidemic; Instagram
is virtually unrecognizable.
But before you decide to completely abandon ship let's talk this through, shall we?
I'm breaking down everything from broken hashtags to low engagement and everything
in between, plus a few strategies for cutting through the noise to use Instagram for business
successfully.
Let's start with the three biggest issues happening on Instagram right now…
1.
The shadowban
In a nutshell, the shadowban renders your account virtually invisible which revokes
your ability to reach new people.
Your images won't appear within the hashtags you use, which means you're not reaching
new audiences and even some of your followers.
So, how do you get slammed by the shadowban?
There are a number of ways, like violating Instagram's Terms of Service, abusing daily
and hourly limits for activity, using broken or abused hashtags, and your account continually
being reported.
If you get bit by the shadowban bug, here's a few ways to fix it:
1.
Stop using automation tools and revoke access to your API
2.
Delete broken or abused hashtags from your posts and research new, safe tags
3.
Take a break 4.
Abide by community guidelines 5.
Report it to Instagram

Broken hashtags
Hashtags are the key to reaching new people in your target audience, which is essential
to growth and success on Instagram.
Basically, hashtags are a massive deal.
So, when Instagram starts addressing 'broken' and 'abused' hashtags, it's only natural
that the entire community of 700 million has a collective meltdown.
Hashtags like '#girlboss' and '#entrepreneur' are over-saturated with inappropriate, unrelated
content and spam accounts.
So, when you use these tags on your posts, you run the risk of being shadowbaned and
not having your content or profile discovered.
This particular Instagram issue is a great reminder to consistently update your hashtags,
and also rotate through a variety of different hashtag groups.
It's also a reminder to convert your Instagram community to your email list.
They may not be able to see your content on Instagram, so having them as subscribers where
you're not battling these issues is the best thing you can do.
3.
Low engagement
What happens when you implement an algorithm, advertising, varying profiles, and the issues
I've already mentioned to a social network?
Low engagement.
This is by far the most common issue I've discussed amongst fellow Instagrammers, which
is no big surprise.
In fact, it's to be expected given the changes that have been made in the past year.
Thankfully, if you're staying in Instagram's good books by abiding all Terms of Service,
boosting and maintaining your engagement isn't that tricky.
Here's a few things you should be doing regularly:
1.
Sharing quality content that's laser focused for your target audience
2.
Don't use any automation tools, bots or services for your Instagram account
3.
Update your hashtags and create different hashtag groups to rotate through
4.
Engage with your Instagram community organically (i.e. with your own two thumbs)
5.
Focus on the community you have before you try to impress others who don't know you
6.
Create content that Instagram likes (i.e.
Stories + Live video) 7.
ABC – Always Be Converting (that way, none of this matters!)
