My name is Josué Vergara and I'm Xmile's original music composer.
Xmile takes place two centuries in the future but features a very nostalgic feeling.
We used electronic instruments for the scifi part and recorded acoustic instruments,
a cello and a soprano, for the nostalgic moments
and also a very special and unknown instrument: the duduk.
The duduk is over 3000 years old.
It's armenian and it's very used in movie's scores.
It's also considered a World Heritage and is one of the instruments
that bring nostalgia and humanity to Xmile.
You cannot learn it in any spanish conservatory.
Xmile is a living project, so we could include more artists during postproduction, such as Nes.
Josué called me to sing Xmile's official song.
We've done two versions, a pop one for the music video
and another that is more cinematic for Xmile's end credits.
I'm not used to sing in spanish. I have my own band, Nes,
in which I sing in different languages.
Sorry for my french accent!
I still hear the echoes of cries and empty kisses.
That faceless and soulless men leave over my skin.
It's my first time singing for a movie, so the most difficult part
was to understand the character I play.
Which is Lilith's conscience.
So now, after many hours recording at Josué's tiny studio,
it's time to shoot the music video, which is so cool!
