Moscow Subway.
So pretty!
It was made during the Soviet Union times and we got this architecture, soviet-looking.
Actually, I was named because of one of the characters of this soviet movie "Mostva Slezam
Ne Verit" - "Moscow Doesn't Believe in Tears."
There was like the most beautiful girl named Alexandra, and my mom here decided that I'm
gonna be that too.
So, that's why I am Alexandra.
It actually gets pretty deep here. Second escalator going up.
We are heading to Tretyakov Gallery to see some beautiful art.
I haven't been there in so many years actually. So, I'm very excited now!
We just left Tretyakov Gallery.
They have such an incredible collection of art of Russian masters of 18th, 19th and the
beginning of 20th century.
They got so many famous paintings there that we studied when we were at school.
Just too see it live it was so amazing!
If you get married in Moscow, you can put a love lock here.
There are a few trees, actually an alley.. and also, I guess, this is new.
They take pictures over there.
You can see the monument for Peter the First here and Russian Navy.
Really beautiful!
These incredible sculptures are allegories for evil in the world, and we can see all
the sins.
We are continuing to walk towards Gorky Park on the river bank.
Wow, this was not looking like this when I lived here!
It just didn't.
It's like a mix of Chicago and New York.
Incredibly beautiful right now.
And people just do the same things they do in New York: run, ride bicycle, roller skating,
amazing!
It smells so good!
They got these trees giving out the aromas.
Wow. there is literally everything here!
Such a huge territory, and there is everything.
There's skateboarding, volleyball, different games playing, a bunch of restaurants, movie
theatre, places you can lay down and relax, look at fountains.
OMG!
Really.
This is GREAT!
It's better than anything I've seen anywhere, actually!
Wow.
Moscow, you go!
AND they are building more and more!
There's gonna be basketball court, football court, some sport area.
I don't know what this is.
It's building.
Also, there is a huge art center here Garage and Tretyakov Gallery 20s century.
Oh my God!
Oh my God!
Literally, OMG!
They got pretty much everything you could possibly imagine.
Also, it's open 24/7 and it's free!
Who does that?
Summer in Russia, and this is what I'm wearing.
Unbelievable.
Anyway, today we are here at Chistye Prudy, exploring another area of Moscow that I really like
There are so many flowers.
We are just heading to a little lake here to see how it looks like right now, three
years later.
Mama.
Yeah..
We are here in Kitai-Gorod which translates like China town, I guess.
There's nothing Chineese here.
Maybe it was when they gave it a name, but not right now.
This used to be the area where I went to school here in Moscow, and I really like it.
I'm trying to find that cafe that I loved and get a smoothie, like a berry smoothie.
There are apparently a lot of birds here.
Wooh!
I feel like I'm in Rome which is where we are gonna go soon!
It's coming!
These two guys Kiril and Mefodiy, they were two monks who wrote Russian alphabet.
So, they are now saints.
That's good, right?
You write the alphabet, you become a Christian, and.. now you are saint.
That's what we do when we don't have an umbrella,) and it's raining.
After the masters built this Cathedral of Vasily Blajenny.
I'm not sure about the right translation..
Out tzar Ivan Grozny, he asked them "Hey guys, can you make another one like this or better?"
And they were like "Yeah, we can do better for you!
We can make another one like this or more, how many you want!"
He's like "Ah, I want this one to be the best one."
So he ordered to take their eyes out, so they can not see and make anything like this or better.
Sad story really.
But I guess, it tells you a lot about Russians.
It started raining again, so we walked in GUM.
It's an upscale store here on Red Square.
n you can tell, can you?
Russians take it to another level.
The rain is gone and we are here on Red Square.
There are so many tourists, weddings..
Just took a bunch of boomerangs here.
It kinda looks cloudy but it's better on my phone..
We are going to St.Peterburg tomorrow to explore a little more.
So I'll see you guys in there!
Bye
