And when all earth is said and done Still I'll praise Him
There's no end to the love that He gives And now broken dreams have life again
In the hope of a risen King
So let us praise Him
A mystery unthinkable That He took the fall just to save my soul
Now to love is the life I know On and on and on we'll be singin'
Soul set free in the One I love Oh come on come on
And let the whole earth sing In the freedom we know
So come on Come on and praise Him
Come come all the lost and the found Let us rise up with a holy sound
All the earth unified as one Just to praise Him
In full view with nothing to hide Like a city on a hill

Why Are We Attracted to People Who Look Like Us? - Duration: 4:23.
[♪INTRO]
You've probably been there.
You're sitting on the bus or the subway, and across from you are two people you're
pretty sure are siblings because, y'know, they look really similar.
And then they start making out.
So … not siblings.
Hopefully.
As strange as it sounds, multiple studies have shown that we find people who look like
us more attractive.
And it might be because, like the rest of animal kingdom, we're just trying to pass
along our genes.
People often choose partners that are similar to them in everything from personality to
age to education level.
Which isn't too surprising.
These are all examples of assortative mating: our tendency to select our life partners with
an eye for certain traits and characteristics.
Liking someone with the same interests and experiences makes sense -- but research suggests
we prefer people who look like us, too.
For example, one study published in 2013 in PLOS One showed that subjects found their
partner's face more attractive after it was digitally mixed with their own.
Twenty heterosexual couples were asked to look at photos of seven versions of their
partner's face.
Each version was blended with another face -- some male, some female, some average-looking,
and some really attractive.
Most importantly, one of the versions mixed the partner's face with the subject's
face, although the subject didn't know it.
And as a control, one of the versions combined mirrored versions of the partner's face
-- so, it was all the same person, but the image looked digitally altered just like the
rest of them and didn't stand out.
When the subjects were asked to rank the photos from most to least attractive, they liked
the version that was blended with their own face the most.
They liked it even more than the control, which was made up of just their partner's face.
It might seem weird to want to date someone who looks like you.
Sure, we tend to prefer things that we've seen before, and there's nothing more familiar
than the person in the mirror.
Even so, incest is kind of a bad thing.
Just ask the royal families of Europe or the Targaryens.
So you'd think we'd have evolved to not be attracted to people who look like us.
But some research suggests that we're attracted to people who look like us because we are
actually looking for some genetic similarity in our partners.
A 2014 study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences compared
the genetic data for 862 older, married couples, and found that the married couples were more
genetically similar than random, non-married pairs.
In fact, the more genetically similar two of the subjects were, the more likely they
were to be married.
Now, that definitely doesn't mean having similar genes automatically means you're
going to get married.
But the fact that scientists saw that relationship is still pretty strange.
There seems to be a happy medium when it comes to genetics, though.
You might find someone especially attractive when they have some genetic similarity, but
not too much.
In that study I mentioned earlier, where subjects rated different pictures of their partners,
the researchers also did a second experiment.
They digitally combined different amounts of the subject's face with their partner's
face, and they found that adding too much or too little of the subject's face made
that version of their partner seem less attractive.
It was that middle amount of similarity -- about 22% -- that made their partner appear more
attractive than normal.
Research in both animal and human populations has found that picking a partner with some
genetic similarity is related to more stable partnerships, more children, and greater altruism
among family members.
Evolutionary theory says we're always trying to pass along our genes by raising our kids
until they're old enough to start their own families — and a partner that shares
more of your genes has extra motivation to do that, too.
Plus, partners with similar genetics often share other characteristics, like personality,
which can make for a more stable relationship.
So from an evolutionary standpoint, it makes some sense to select a partner who looks like you.
But we've also learned that too much similarity can increase our odds of passing along dangerous
recessive traits or other developmental problems.
Plus it's just plain creepy.
So for a safe, genetically-similar, non-creepy middle ground, we find people who look like us.
This doesn't mean you have to pick a partner who looks like you, obviously.
Those other traits we select for, like personality and educational level, are usually more important
for stable relationships than whether or not you get confused for cousins all the time.
Physical similarity just seems to be another factor we consider before deciding to swipe
right on Tinder -- and it's probably not the most important one.
So don't be too weirded out.
We'll let the Targaryens keep on keeping on, and the rest of us can get back to our
normal lives.

Declassified Nuclear Films Prove We Were Wrong About Their Explosive Power - Duration: 5:30.
In July 1945, scientists detonated Trinity, the world's first nuclear bomb.
At the time, no one was sure what was going to happen.
But the test was a terrifying success, and it led to an international arms race.
The United States conducted over 200 atmospheric weapons tests for two key reasons: grandstanding
and fine tuning.
They wanted to prove their military might, and make better, more powerful nuclear weapons.
So, they tested out new designs in the air, on the ground, and at sea.
All of these massive fireballs were captured by strategically placed cameras around a test
site, and then analyzed by scientists.
The big number they were all after?
The yield, or the amount of energy released.
These films hold the best scientific data we have of our nuclear potential.
That is, until a weapons physicist decades later found out the data from these films
might be off a bit.
About 10 years ago, I was asked by my boss to write this computer code that would predict
nuclear fallout, and I couldn't seem to get the answer to agree no matter what I did.
That's Greg Spriggs, a weapons physicist with the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
I kept saying, "I'm not doing anything wrong in my computer code."
Typical scientific answer right, it's always somebody else's fault, not yours."
For weapons physicists like Greg, computer codes are everything.
They're used to verify the thousands of thermonuclear warheads on standby all across
the country.
And the original data for those codes came in part from these films.
That's the benefit of the data.
It provides ground truth to us , the reality, and it gives everybody a warm fuzzy feeling
back in Washington.
If it ever comes to a point that we have to use a nuke, it better work.
So Greg is working on a special project to scan and reanalyze all of the old films, and
make sure the data is up to snuff.
To do that, he had to track down thousands of Cold War era film canisters.
They'd been sitting in high security vaults for decades and hadn't been seen by the
public.
Some of the films had decomposed to the point where they had turned to dust.
The only way to accurately study these films is to digitally scan them.
And Greg needed an expert in film preservation.
So he brought in Jim Moye.
For Jim, each film is a mini time capsule.
It's kind of cool to be opening something and having no idea what's there.
Jim processes each nuclear film with this Hollywood-style scanner.
So far, they've digitally scanned over 4,000 films.
Then came the work of analyzing them.
There are four major effects. The first one I'll call prop radiation.
Greg spends a lot of time watching bombs explode.
These are the prop neutrons or the prop gammas that are coming off of the fission process.
We're looking at Housatonic 120256, the last nuclear shot before all atmospheric testing
came to a complete stop in 1962.
The next major effect is what's called the shockwave//a big, high-density air region
that is moving through the atmosphere at very high speed.
Measuring the size of a shock wave over time can reveal how much energy a bomb releases.
So this shockwave is moving very, very fast. and when it hits something ... You could imagine
standing in a hurricane, having that wind blowing at you at 200 miles an hour, well
this is much higher speed.
Back in the 1950s though, the shockwave was calculated by hand using a device called a
kodagraph.
They projected the film onto a grid and advanced it frame by frame.
Scientists we're doing this manually and very quickly, a process prone to human error.
we found that some of those yields could be off by as much as 20% or 30%.
But now, with these films digitized, Greg can analyze every single pixel in the fireball's
edge.
This means for the very first time, we're able to get a more accurate sense of a bomb's
yield.
The next effect was the thermal blast.
When the shock wave moves through the atmosphere it also heats the air, and that hot air then
starts to radiate thermal energy.
Two pulses emerge from a fireball.
The first pulse happens within 81 milliseconds and has 0.6% of thermal radiation.
The second carries about 99% of total thermal radiation energy from the blast.
Then the fourth major effect, of course, is nuclear fallout. The films can't measure
nuclear fallout, but measuring the cloud height can give experts a sense of the extent of
the damage.
I found that those cloud heights could be off by as much as 10% or 15%, which makes
a big difference in nuclear fallout.
By pinpointing more precise yields, Greg can update computer models to estimate the damage
from a bomb in different scenarios.
Ultimately, they're perfecting data for nuclear weapons that will hopefully never
be used.
Still, the pursuit is worth it.This is something new, this is what scientists live for, is
to kind of push the frontier forward just a little bit.
There's something unnerving about watching these mushroom clouds.
And while we aren't testing nuclear weapons anymore, these films stand as a terrifying
reminder of our nuclear past and potential.

SCIENTISTS MAKE STUNNING DISCOVERY OF WHAT WE MAY SEE AFTER DEATH - Duration: 2:02.
SCIENTISTS MAKE STUNNING DISCOVERY OF WHAT WE MAY SEE AFTER DEATH
We hear stories about people seeing strange incorporeal entities also called spirits or
ghosts which can be regarded as both fascinating and terrifying.
Many report seeing old family members and friends who passed away, while others speak
of different kinds of beings visiting in a ghostly form.
But those are usually rare sightings and happen in specific places.
Is there perhaps another and easier way to catch a glimpse of the entities?
According to many 'Near Death experience' victims, a great percentage of these people
have seen bizarre lights, orbs and spirits when they were about to die.
Some even describe the feeling of peace and being drawn by the ethereal surroundings to
go further.
The most common sequence for NDE users is the feeling of being detached from the physical
body and then returning afterwards.
So what's it like to know what the DEAD see?
What mysteries lie beyond our tangible realm?

Hey guys so I'm gonna be signing Dru Hill's "We're Not Making Love No More"
So let's get into the video
(Music)
Sure I've been in love a time or two But in the end I still chose you
No one could ever make me feel this way
That's why it's killing me what we're going through Somehow thought 'tween me and you
Our love would stand the test of time and never ever fade
But we're not making love no more We're not even trying to change
Tell me how it slips away Does it ever stay the same
We don't even talk no more We've ran out of words to say
Tell me it don't have to change Won't it ever stay the same
oh yeah oh yeah baby
Girl I know that things aren't going right But don't you think it deserves a fight
A love like ours don't happen everyday
And we're losing it right as we speak
And if we don't wake up, it's a memory
A time gone past, a love that sailed away
But we're not making love no more We're not even trying to change
Tell me how it slips away Does it ever stay the same
We don't even talk no more We've ran out of words to say
Tell me it don't have to change Won't it ever stay the same
I dream of lovers past and I see a girl so sad cause
She lost the only man she loved He went away
Well it's not too late for us To change
But we're not making love no more We're not even trying to change
Tell me how it slips away Does it ever stay the same
We don't even talk no more We've ran out of words to say
Tell me it don't have to change Won't it ever stay the same
Woah Woah said Woah Woah Woah Woah
Woah Woah said Woah Woah Woah
Woah Woah Woah Woah Does it ever stay the same
Woah Woah Woah Woah Woah Woah Woah Woah Woah Woah Woah Woah
Does it ever stay the same
But we're not making love no more We're not even trying to change
