What is going on guys Deanoroo here bringing you another video.
More news on the battlefield front today regarding the spring update but more specifically the net code changes that came with the games update.
So if you were experiencing some bullshittery in your recent matches in Battlefield 1, bullshittery as in your shots not registering, well there may be a reason for it.
In the recent update DICE have made it so that players who have 100ms ping would have to lead their shots to hit their targets.
This change was made to try prevent people from getting shot or killed around corners however when the update actually went live this change resulted in a lot of people simply not having their shots registered at all.
Some players have even reported that their shots aren't being registered even when their ping is below the 100ms target that DICE have set for us.
To me a 100ms threshold does seem like it may be quite low as know a lot of peoples connection may fluctuate from high to low ping and this may cause them some problems.
I myself have noticed some of my own shots not registering despite the fact that I usually have a very low ping it never usually goes above 30 or 40ms.
I have been playing with the selbstlader 1906 a lot since the update so with a weapon like that it can be quite easy to tell if your shots aren't registering.
There is no need to panic just yet though as DICE have said they are releasing a hotfix in the next coming days.
This hotfix will raise the ping threshold to 150ms and they are also asking that people who are experiencing this bug to provide them with video evidence.
Not entirely sure how that will help but if you have any evidence send it in boys!
