Hi my loves, thank you so much for joining me today.
I finally had some time to sit down and paint something and put together a video.
It feels like ages since I did this type of thing and I've really missed it, hopefully
you're as happy as I am to see this kind of content again.
Today's painting came from a sketch I did in my sketchbook, I've been looking at gesture
and movement of the body, using this book called Airborne as a reference for some of
the poses.
It's a book of dance photography, really lovely interesting stuff.
My sister got it for me from a charity shop, she knows I'm always looking for books with
pictures in.
Any source of visual inspiration or alternative reference ideas.
I've talked in the past about how valuable it can be to have lots of books at your disposal
to refer to when you need that spark or you need some information whether that be visual
or not.
And when I say that I'm not specifically talking about art books, anatomy and lighting,
you can get really creative with your reference materials.
This book is great example of that.
Books on animals or architecture or design.
Things that interest you, just learning about it or drawing the pictures from the books
can, and almost always does, lead to new ideas or entirely new concepts.
I tried to find this book online for you all, it's on amazon but it's really expensive,
but you don't need this book in particular, as gorgeous as it is.
There's always such a variety of books in charity shops and at car boot sales, you just
have to kind of train yourself to sift through and think outside the box in terms of if and
how the contents could be useful to you.
So in this case, in my studies of the body in motion and in particular, the body suspended
in the air, this particular pose stood out to me.
I knew I wanted to expand it into more than just a sketch in my sketchbook so I tried
to think of ways I could ind of contextualise it.
So it's not just a random body.
And for whatever reason, her position reminded me of maybe stretching between jungle canopies,
kind of dangling, looking down through the shrub.
I can't really explain why but that's what I saw, and I tried to brainstorm other
ideas but instinct is instinct and in the end I thought why not.
I didn't want to overpower the panting with tree imagery and busy wildlife so I thought
I'd suggest the thickness of a treescape with leaves in light and shadow.
I went with palm leaves just because they're one of my favourite, so that gave the piece
more of a tropical feel, which I don't really mind.
It could be a pacific island jungle.
The next thing to consider was colour.
As soon as I knew I was doing something jungly, I had in mind this lovely deep green, and
I wanted to keep the rest quite simple so I went with a medium grey and then just a
touch of very light pink to suggest a few highlights.
The tape, by the way, and I'm sorry for repeating myself but people literally ask
everytime, the tape is normal sellotape, I stuck it to the back of my had a few times
to take away the stickiness and it works perfectly.
The paint is of course gouache and the paper is strathmore mixed media paper.

So that's the whole thought process behind the piece.
Umm I feel like that's all I have to say but I also miss just talking to you all, I
feel like we've been losing touch a little bit and I don't know why.
I have been really busy recently so I'm sort of just whizzing through each day, every
day is going like a blur, which is exciting and exhilarating and I think it's kind of
gaining momentum and I'm getting more done and I'm generating more ideas.
I just kind of need to at some point, stop and take stock and catch up with myself a
little bit, if that makes sense.
I don't actually know what I'm talking about anymore, I always do this.
I say all the things that I need to say and then I just start talking for the sake of
talking.
But it's been nice.
Nice stripping the video back a bit, just painting, painting something that I'm happy
with.

Err in terms of the linework, I've been really liking the variety of shades I can
achieve with just a black colouring pencil, this one is from WH Smith's, I like the
texture that it gives my lines, I like the control I have over shading.
Some people might think its a little bit harsh, a bit clunky or clumsy, but that's what
I like.
I couldn't be happier with it.

to see Tony Robbins in his Unleash the Power Within Event and if you guys haven't heard of Tony Robbins
Tony Robbins is a like a motivational speaker
He's a life and business strategist
and he's also a best-selling author and he's influenced so many people if you guys haven't seen his a
Netflix
movie
I'm not your guru. I definitely recommend checking it out. It's
Eye-opening for sure we're really excited 'cause this is our first time seeing him live
We kind of have an idea of what he's capable of influencing
But we are not sure you know what to expect.
If you guys can't tell I'm a little kind of
nasally I have a cold or something. I think today is probably like the worst day of it.
So hopefully I
overcome this quickly
But I'm trying to like double up on my greens
I kind of want to do this vlog as a way for me to
process my thoughts and process the event and everything that's going on at the moment
I feel like that that way
I really internalize it and then you know I kind of want to do this fun
follow me with like... being in LA kind of deal

Maybe some sort of powder electrolyte kind of stuff that maybe they'll explain when we get over there
I don't want to put something in my water that I don't know of.
That's what we got in our goodie bag
We're gonna get some breakfast right now
And go right to the store to get a couple of things and then we'll be heading to the event.
We feel like there's gonna be some long lines, so

Today, we found the Fratelli Cafe
This place has our heart
We seriously went there like literally every day to get breakfast there
I set like an intention on the first day. I was like okay. I'm really gonna go all out
I'm gonna fully immerse myself and everything because I want to get the most out of everything out of this event
It was the best thing I could have done for myself every 15 30 minutes or so
We would get up and move and stretch and dance
We actually had to do a fire walk. So basically what that was is.
There's like a line of coals
That was in front of you hot coals and so what you would do is walk across
And just make it to the other side basically
It sounds simple, but mentally it really
Challenges you because you're like wow
I don't think I could do it
The first time I actually learned about it on the website it says on Thursday night
We're gonna do a fire walk, and I was just like
Yeah
I don't think I'm gonna do it
because I mean me and pain don't get along
I'm a big baby when it comes to like anything
that's like has to do with pain
The first day of course they pump you up and get you excited
They're like getting you prepared mentally and in a way kind of physically to be able to get through the other side
Which is really cool like we literally just over again would just practice on okay, mentally
This is what I would think he was saying like for us to say "Cool Moss"
And so you know you're walking through like hot coals and telling yourself "Cool Moss"
Will kind of keep your mind off of how hot it is
We would stand by our seats
And we would kind of just pretend
We're walking and like what would you do in the process of
Walking like looking up and like it's just literally every little detail that you can get in your mind to be able to successfully cross
Through that it really got me in a good state, and I was able to cross that
Excited not only excited, but I actually crossed it and I surprised myself
I was like wow you actually survived this you're okay
And in the end I didn't get any blisters or burns or anything like that
It did sting a little bit afterward
But I was able to recover quickly
which also amazed me because usually when I get burns I quickly blister
I feel like it could have been because I was in that high state
which is really really awesome to
Kind of think about
There was this girl that I was there with
We pumped each other up and my boyfriend was there as well
He was you know
Excited about it as well. We were both like really nervous
We were just pumping up you know getting excited
about going and then she was the first one to go before me
So I pumped her up
She's like yeah, yeah
So we had this thing with Tony Robbins where he had us make a move
so we had a certain move that makes us feel
empowered, and it makes us feel strong
and so the coach that was next to us she would be like okay
Make a move make a move say yes, and just go
and so I would pump her up - yeah
you got this we got this and so we would cross the
firewalk and
Then it was my turn. I was like oh my gosh
I realized I didn't do everything that Tony Robbins said to do I ended up just walking and
Just walking very confidently, and you know holding my head up, and I'm like oh my gosh
I'm actually doing this I'm actually doing this it's crazy
I'm actually doing this
and then I got to the other side, and I was just like
It's over? That's it?
I celebrated and celebrated
and then I turned around immediately
and my boyfriend was crossing and it was just so
liberating in the end
We just felt so much energy and where everyone was just
So I know how to describe it it was really beautiful even though it was like midnight past midnight
It was just one of the most amazing feelings that I've ever experienced
We just finished the firewalk
oh my God it's insane

a little numb right now
but it's really cold, it's like 50 something degrees
but oh my God
that was awesome, it went by so quick
I thought it was going to take like an eternity

experience of doing that firewalk really made me realize
the metaphor behind it
Whatever seems scary that's ahead of me is
only temporary and
When I finish it when I completed its it's a celebration
It's really a moment to really reflect and be like wow I accomplished that

so the second day was themed how to turn your dreams into
Reality and basically
they just went over like the steps on how to be more successful how to follow through how to use
Emotions in order to fuel you
oh my God look at this cat

He's gonna be stuck in that thing
It's also like what beliefs do you
Encompass and in order to be able to accomplish this
if you have these limited believes of course it's gonna to keep you from
succeeding so what can you do to
change your mindset
or even just replace that negativity with
something more empowering more liberating
Day 3, we're hereeeeee
The first two days I did learn a lot I feel like I got a lot of insights and everything
But I didn't have that major breakthrough, so I was like okay
I feel like this is kind of a breakthrough waiting to happen
so in comes day three and it was just
probably the most life-changing one for everyone
we really dug into
our limiting beliefs our beliefs our values in general,
but especially our limiting beliefs, and we did this exercise
where we really dug into
what the worst would happen with our limiting beliefs
everybody in the arena was just really into it and
screaming and yelling at the worst of the worst that could happen if you
let these limiting beliefs get to you
even I like I fed off of the energy
and I don't know if it's because I'm an empath or what it is
Listening to them, and you know of course I let myself
just really feel it really feel how this would affect me
if I let this happen to me or let this
really affect me in the future
The energy was very depressing very
heartbreaking and I fed off of that and I
broke down
like I've never broke down in my entire life
and then we started to get out of that and
we started to think what would
be the replacement of that limiting belief
We all took some time to think about it
and to really reflect on it got into this exercise after that where
We mocked our limiting beliefs like we were just like oh, yeah I'm not good enough
or you know whatever it was
and then you'll be like that's bullshit and
that this is the actual
more empowering belief, and I'm free and you just say yes.
It was really really empowering
We did so many times where it was like
We really got it integrated in our mind that we
actually believe this
It was really funny because
even then like I feel like I started forgetting my limiting beliefs
even more like I almost completely forgot what all of them were so

On the fourth day we went into how we can have more energy
How we can have more vitality and basically just taking care of our body with eating more healthy foods what to avoid
That would cause less energy better toxic to you and stuff like that
The event is over now
and we're kind of sad but we're also
at least for me, I'm really excited because
we have the huge opportunity to grow after everything that we've learned

HOW U.S IS HELPING SOUTH KOREA PROTECT ITSELF FROM NORTH KOREA? - Duration: 7:29.
The United States and South Korea have been in a security alliance since the Korean War ( 1950 - 53 ).
The alliance is aimed mainly at protecting the South Korea from
any North Korean aggression.
This security structure has also successfully prevented a few crises from erupting into
full-scale wars, namely the North Korean attacks on Cheong Wa Dae in 1968, the assassination
of the South Korean first lady in 1974 and the presidential assassination attempt made
by North Korean agents in 1983 in Rangoon.
After a period of relative calmness, two major developments have put the focus right back
into this alliance. These are:
1. Starting from the first nuke test that was conducted in 2006, North Korea has now
conducted 5-nuke test with increasing destructive power.
2. North Korea's missile program has progressed over the last few decades from tactical artillery
rockets in the 1960s and 70s to short-range and medium-range ballistic missiles in the
1980s and 90s. Systems capable of greater and greater ranges are under development and testing.
Let us analyze how U.S is helping South Korea to counter the ever more aggressive North Korea.
United States Forces Korea (USFK) is a sub-unified command of United States Pacific Command.
Major USFK elements include Eighth U S Army, U S Air Forces Korea (Seventh Air Force),
U S Naval Forces Korea (CNFK), U.S Marine Forces Korea and Special Operations Command Korea.
More than 28000 U.S troops are stationed in South Korea.
These troops are located in different bases spread throughout the country.
The ground forces are currently in ready state.
Presence of U.S ground forces in the region is a key demonstration of the U.S government's
continued support to South Korea.
US Department of State has recently cleared $140 million worth of missiles for South Korea's military.
The sales are divided into two lots, each worth an estimated $70 million.
The first lot covers 60 AIM-9X-2 Sidewinder Block II along with its supporting equipment.
The missile fired from fighter jets is designed to take down enemy aircrafts.
It is a supersonic missile with a speed of 2.7 Mach and has range of 26 km or 16 miles.
The second lot covers 89 AGM 65 Maverick and its support elements.
The AGM-65 Maverick is an air-to-ground tactical missile (AGM) designed for close air support.
It is effective against a wide range of tactical targets, including armor, air defenses, ships,
ground transportation and fuel storage facilities.
It has range of around 22 km (12 nmi) and speed of 1150 km/hr.
These missiles will add teeth to South Korea's air wing.
The Pentagon revealed this week that U S Marine Corps F-35 fighters are operating in South
Korea for the first time, as they participate in joint training exercises with the Republic
of Korea's military. The 8 planes are from a squadron of F-35B deployed to Iwakuni, Japan
in January, where they will be permanently stationed and on call to respond quickly if
a crisis occurs on the Korean Peninsula.
The Korean Peninsula is not a big place. The distance between the South Korean capital
of Seoul and the North Korean capital of Pyongyang is only 120 miles (193 km). An F-35 can cover that
distance in less than 10 minutes, and it can't be tracked by any of the air defense
systems available to the North Korean regime.
South Korea is also planning to acquire 40 F 35A (Air Force variant) between 2018 and
2021. Dictator Kim might doubt U.S willingness to use nuclear weapons in a crisis, but there's
no question U.S will use F 35 in a broader campaign to wipe out Kim's military.
USS Carl Vinson is one of the most powerful weapons platform in the world, being 3 football
fields long, having a displacement of 100,000 tonnes, and is capable of carrying more than
60 strike aircrafts.
It must be noted that, USS Carl Vinson is not alone, but it leads the US Navy Carrier
Strike Group One.
It is accompanied by other vessels including an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer,
the USS Wayne E Meyer (DDG 108). Arleigh Burke class is considered to be one of the most
potent destroyers in the world.
It is also expected to be accompanied by 1 or 2 nuclear strike capable ballistic missile
submarines like the Ohio class.
USS Carl Vinson is now close enough to Korea and can launch airstrikes if needed.
North Korea does not have ballistic or cruise missiles capable of targetting ships like
USS Carl Vinson at sea, and its submarine force is also not very advance.
The biggest threat to South Korea comes from North Korean missiles. To counter this, United
States has deployed the THAAD in South Korea and is operational now.
Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD), is an anti-ballistic missile system, which
is designed to shoot down short, medium, and intermediate range ballistic missiles in their
terminal phase. THAAD uses a hit-to-kill approach that is the missile carries no warhead, but
relies on the kinetic energy of impact to destroy the incoming missile.
A THAAD battery consists of at least 6 launcher vehicles, each equipped with 8 missiles, with
2 mobile Tactical Operations Centers (TOCs) and the AN TPY-2 Ground-Based Radar (GBR).
The THAAD Radar is an X Band active electronically scanned array Radar
developed and built by Raytheon.
It has an Operational range of around 200 km. The missile has a speed of 8.24 Mach or 2.8 km/s.
THAAD is expected to intercept North Korean missiles.

Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents found the collapsed tunnel after they were heard about
a suspicious opening near the Raul Hector Castro Port of Entry.
Agents found that though the tunnel collapsed 25 feet from the opening, it extended into
the U.S. by 60 years.
Investigators believe the tunnel was through a tunnel that was previously dug in the same
location.
Tunnels like this one are often used by transnational criminal organizations (TCOs) to smuggle both
drugs and humans into the U.S. American authorities have found over 200 tunnels such as this one
on the U.S. border since 1990.
The Sinaloa Cartel, considered to be the largest and most powerful in Mexico, is believed to
be the main cartel using tunnels for their smuggling operations.
Mainstream media outlets like CNN will never report on criminal activities of illegal immigrants
because it goes against their anti-Trump, pro-immigration agendas.

A man named Benjamin Casty, who is the brother of French rugby star Remi Casty, was serving
as a referee for a French junior cup game over the past weekend.
In the course of his duties, he gave a yellow card to a player who then countered by knocking
him out with a single punch.
After he was done with that extremely quick exchange, he threw a second punch at an opposing
player, which ignited a brawl
Now, that was by all accounts a sucker punch, and according to the Independent, the unnamed
extremely angry individual was already suspended for four matches earlier in the season.
Marc Palanques, who holds the position of French rugby federation president, called
for discipline for this player's latest transgression to be "uncompromising," which could mean a
lifetime ban is on its way.
As for Casty, he was rendered unconscious by the blow, and reportedly suffered cheekbone
and jaw injuries.

The U.S. reaffirmed they will pay for the cost of the THAAD deployment in South Korea,
in accordance with the terms of their bilateral agreement.
Washington's national security advisor called Seoul on Sunday morning, after President Donald
Trump's comment caused confusion about the future of the anti-missile battery.

Korea will not have to pay towards the deployment of the THAAD missile defense system, despite
comments made by Donald Trump earlier this week.
Seoul's presidential office revealed that in a phone call on Sunday morning lasting
35 minutes, Trumps' national security advisor, H.R. McMaster, is said to have explained to
his Korean counterpart, Kim Kwan-jin, that when Trump said he wanted to make Seoul
pay for the costs, he was simply making general comments about the U.S. public's wishes on
the issue.
McMaster is said to have assured Kim that Trump and Washington consider their alliance
with South Korea the top priority in the Asia-Pacific region.
On Thursday, to the confusion of Seoul officials, Trump said in an interview with Reuters, that
he had informed them that it was 'appropriate' for Korea to pay the bill for the system,
which he estimated at costing a billion dollars.
Trump repeated this stance, in an interview with the Washington Times on Friday.
The battery is already close to being deployed, after the U.S. began moving key components
to its designated location in Seongju County on Wednesday.
The defense ministry said the installation could be completed and fully operational in
a matter of days, but it remains unclear whether that will happen before Korea's presidential
election on May 9th.
The future of the THAAD deployment has been a key topic among the candidates.
Sunday's call is hoped to have put the cost issue to rest once and for all, but that will
depend on Trump and what he has to say about it next.

The 2-month-long annual joint military drill involved some 300-thousand South Korean soldiers
and 10-thousand U.S. troops.
Though it is purely defensive in nature, tension mounts during the combined training as Pyongyang
perceives it as a preparation for an invasion.
The U.S. aircraft carrier Carl Vinson meanwhile, is still taking part in a different joint
exercise with the Korean navy that began on Saturday... expected to end some time this
week.
The Nimitz-class supercarrier that took part in drills last month and had left the area,
but was called back, seemingly in response to North Korean provocations.
