hello everybody and you want to be learning how to fill your Rc shocks with
oil like this really good shock a big improvement over this spring air filled
shock we're going to modify it so it's going to be the same as the other one
this MOD is pretty cheap and simple this shocks are from the feiyue FY03 eagle 3 desert truck / wltoys 12428 Rock Crawler
only things you need are a few of this M3 rubber O-rings and teflon tape rubber o-rings just cost 50 cents for 50 pieces I'll put the link down below some
tiny teflon tape and some oil pull the spring back and remove the cap
pull of the spring and move this little ball joint now we can remove this little cap we can put some o rings around the shaft
while they are very cheap and filled with air they are very easy to modify the hold oil and if you
just don't trust one o-ring then use two o-rings and just put them around the
shaft and M3 o-ring is the perfect size for this cheap Rc shocks we just need a tiny piece of teflon tape at the bottom
and also at the top because this teflon tape don't like to get mix with oil
because it starts to dissolve and going around one or two times is more than
enough and just have to be really careful making sure that the head is going
straight on not only angle and plastic the destroy the threat pretty fast and very
quick now is just a question of placing the lastbit of teflon on the top
make sure it's very tight
next step is filling your shocks with oil but make sure pull the shaft out to it's maximum so
if you're filling it up when is pushed in there is a lot of metal that will be replaced with air
we actually make sure it's completely empty on the inside so you can fill up
at maximum like 100% not 99% you need to be very precise make sure we pulled out the shock
and fill it up to the top
and don't drop and screw up this step the teflon must be clean of oil to get a good modification just
make sure throw it on top not the threads I really recommend just using a little bit of
teflon tape not too much and it's pretty simple to assembly it again just make sure you tread it
on enuff just make sure you don't scratch the metal you can see we can tread
it on a little bit more
okay not to get it right so now that's done and assemble the Rc shock again very simple
