Weight Loss can be a challenge and curse for many people. Today I'm gonna give you
five simple lifestyle changes, that can help you to lose weight faster. Welcome
back everybody! My name is Pasquale and I'm a nutrition and lifestyle coach. I
live in Ireland in the wonderful County Kilkenny, and in this channel I
talk about nutritional tips, healthy recipes and lifestyle tips, like this one
so if you are new to the channel, please consider subscribing!
I click the bell to get updates on your videos. So as I said before today I'm
gonna give you five simple tips of lifestyle changes that can help you to
lose weight faster. There will be actually six. There will be a bonus tip
at the end of this video. And a one that I consider particularly personal, because it
helped me a lot, when I decided to lose weight before, to become a nutrition
lifestyle coach. So stick to the end of the video to get the the bonus tip!
Weight loss can be a damnation for us. For many of us because it's particularly
difficult to reach. There are so many variables involved in weight loss, that
any of them that changes, it can impact our chances to success. But I think the
changes have not to be massive. Just simple basic changes can help you a lot
in your journey of weight loss. So let's start!! Tip number one will be to shop
your groceries in a fed state. I know it may sound silly and simple and
you may have heard about that in the past. But if you go and shop your food when you have
your belly full of a previous meal, then you are not going to buy junk food or
chocolate or sodas that are packed with unhealthy ingredients. And when you go
there with an empty stomach your brain will signals your body that you
needed calories and food and nutrients. And so your eyes just pick it up
everything that is already there, all together! So you tend to buy everything!
And you can't imagine how many silly things you get to buy in your grocery
shop when you're hungry! And I want to tell you secret. There a secret. There is something in the cupboard
since 2015, I need to get rid of. But don't tell my wife!!
Tip number two is to keep your house temptation free! And this tip is strictly
connected to the first one. You need to buy only natural ingredients. Only
healthy ingredients ,only healthy food. If you buy the junk food then you need to
get rid of everything. And there are two main things you can do to get rid of
everything. You can bin it; and because food is..of this kind food is quite
cheap, because it's made with cheap ingredients, sometimes it's a it's a
discount shop food; and it would be that much of the waste in terms of money! Or,
or, or, you can give it to the lady next door the one you hate very much. And then at the end she's gonna look unhealthy,
and you with these tips, you are going to look really healthy and
great. But the important thing is to do it now! It is not to do it in the next hour,
is not to do it tomorrow or next week! You need to start now to get rid
of everything that's an unhealthy for you. Because the earlier you start the
earlier you commit, the sooner you get your result! Tip number three is to increase
your muscle mass! Endurance sports are really helpful, if you do at a
professional level, because you're putting your body through a lot of
exercise. But if you are just a jogger then, even if every kind of sports can
help your body to be healthier, this will not help you very much to lose your
weight faster. And the only way to lose your weight faster is cardio or to
increase your muscle mass. If you increase your muscle growth, then you
helping your body to increase the basal metabolism. Basically it happens because
when you do a simple exercise of weight lifting for example, some of your fibers
of the muscle that compose, of the fiber that compose your
muscles, snap and break down completely. And then during the sleep, if
you ate the right amount of proteins, then your brain send the signals to your
body to build up again the fibers that got broken during
the exercise. And then it means new one. extra ones! So the amount of fibers
increases, the amount of cells increases, and the amount of the blood vessels
inside your body increases. So your basal metabolism increases. So you will need
more calories to maintain in your body. And sometimes because you will you're
eating a healthy diet, your calories intake is going to be lower and then
you're going to lose weight. Of course by saying that, I'm not saying that you have
to become the new Arnold Schwarzenegger. If you just think about that I train 4
to 5 days per week. In the gym. Lifting weights! And still look like an hobbit!
Tip number four is to have a stress-free life. During you stress level a hormone
steroid, called cortisol is produced. And what cortisol does is impacting your
blood sugar levels. And as we said before in previous videos, when in blood sugar
level rises, then you are affected by sugar cravings, hunger cravings. A
sustained stress level and, and so a sustained amount of cortisol present in
your blood, creates a condition called allostatic. Condition where all the body
functions are basically impacted! Negatively impacted and disrupted. Like
hunger, as the most important one we're talking today, but also sleep and mood. So
we need to remove the sources of our stress. So if you're stressed at work
then you may change your position to your boss or change job completely. If you are
stressed by some financial problems then think about it.
Being stressed or not, it doesn't change the way your financial problems are. You
won't solve your problem. You need to be focused on reducing your stress level,
and your stress sources. You can also think to start some meditation or some
respiration exercises or some yoga. So some exercises that can help you to
reduce your stress level. So the main thing here is: if somebody is stressing
you, they can go to hell! Tip number five is: dieting is not a
solution! When you start dieting you are depriving yourself of some kind of
food, or some some kind of nutrients. Some diet that remove some macro-nutrients
completely, or some food groups completely. And I don't believe this is
correct! Unless you know, you're vegan or vegetarian for ethical reasons, that
well, is a different matter. But if you need to change yourself and your weight
through dieting, I don't think this is the right path. The right path is to
start a proper healthy nutrition and then continue with the healthy
nutrition ,all the year long. When you're when you're eating the right food weight
loss will be only a natural consequence! Because your sense of fulfillment and
satisfaction will come from food. And food is an something then it has to give
you satisfaction. Has to give you happiness! You don't need to restrict any
kind of food if you want to lose weight. Nor fat, nor proteins, nor carbs. You just
need to eat proper food. And reading the labels can help
you. to avoid food that can negatively impact your weight. By eating properly
and not dieting then you can treat yourself on a weekly basis. With some
kind of food you like. You can eat a burger, it can be a cake and you don't
need to feel guilty. Because you are not dieting you are just eating properly the
whole year. And then every week you can get your treat. And I tell you what. If
follow the five meals per day advice I gave in the previous video. Three
main meals breakfast, lunch and dinner and then 2 snacks, one in the morning
and one in the afternoon, you should consider about a thousand eight hundred
and twenty meals per year. If you have a teat per week it is only fifty four treats
a year. And I can assure you this won't impact your journey through weight loss at
all. Actually will help you because it will give you that sense of satisfaction that
is needed for proper nutrition plans. Now it's time for the bonus tip and I saved
you this one as last. I saved as this one for the last, because I think is
particularly personal. Because he's the same problem I had throughout my journey
before to become a Nutrition and Lifestyle Coach. I had problem to lose my weight and
until I realized what I really needed to do, it was always a problem for me. My
last advice is to...feel you are ready to change. And what I mean by saying that?
That when you are ready to change you know it. When you're ready to change look
yourself in the mirror and you say: "yeah! that's it! I'm gonna start the weight
loss today!" You know when all people around you ask you to lose weight, it
maybe your wife or your husband. It can you your parents or your best friends.
They're asking you to do something. And you in some way, you feel forced to take an
action you don't want to take. Even if you, if it is your desire to lose weight, you feel
in some way forced to do something. And it is not the right way to lose weight!
You are only ready to change when you are ready to change your habits in foods, in
lifestyle changes. But it must be your own choice! You are your main protagonist of your life and there is nobody that can tell you what to do and how to do it!
When you is coming to lose weight it's only yourself. Because if you feel forced,
because somebody is asking you to do it, then there is a good chance you can fail!
And if you fail the first time and then the second time, also your confidence in
yourself will be diminished. And then you'll probably gain more weight. And then your
mood is gonna change. And your stress level are going to increase, and it's
gonna be worse and worse. So you have to wait until he's the right time for
yourself to lose weight. Just look yourself in the mirror and
say "yes I'm ready!" and then you start your weight-loss journey!
The chances to succeed will increase exponentially. Well hope you liked this

The Audient Mic Pre Experiment - Can you hear the difference? - Duration: 6:58.
- Hi I'm Jack - and I'm Harry and we're here
at the Visconti studio at Kingston University
and we're going to be doing some recording of singer-songwriter
Zach Johnson today.
So the aim of today is we're going to be recording acoustic
guitar and also some vocals of Zach and we're going to be recording it on each
of our products all the way from our smallest interface iD4 up to the
ASP8024 Heritage Edition which they have here the Visconti studio.
So the preamps that are in our smaller box products
like the ASP880, ASP800 and all the ID range
they actually have the mic preamps that are found in this console
so you're getting that studio quality on your desktop and hopefully this test will
show that you are getting the same mic preamp sound in all of our other products.
So we're going to start with the ASP8024 seeing as we're all set
up in the control room over there and then we're going to move up through the
interface range and into our eight channel preamps.
So now we're going to take you through what we've got set up
so we've got Zach sitting here
we've got three microphones roughly aimed at 12-14th fret
they're roughly 6-10 inches
from the neck of the guitar we've got three microphones
we've got a SM57 here
next to that we've got an AKG C414
and we've also got a Sennheiser MKH 40
now this is probably the flattest mic we've got out of the three
and we're definitely going to be able to hear more of the characteristics
of the Audient console mic pre through this microphone.
So let's go into the control room to start with the ASP8024.
So just to explain a little bit more about what we've done
especially with guitar for the smaller products which don't have the three mic
inputs we need for the three mics we're using we actually just recorded them
either one at a time or for iD14 and iD22 we just did two at one time and
then the other afterwards and for each of these we recorded a couple of times
two or three takes just so we could actually get the performance that we
wanted and then moved on up through the difference products.
When we got to our 8 channel mic preamps which are the ASP880 and ASP800
we used the iD44 as the audio interface
and then use the ADAT connection through into iD44 and into Logic.
So you're getting the converters on the ASP880 and the ASP800
as well as the console mic preamps.
So with regards to converters on these products
while the mic preamp stays the same the converters are going to be slightly different.
With iD22 it has the same top-of-the-range Burr Brown
converters as the ASP880 so when comparing those two you should actually
find that there's not a huge amount of difference at all.
Similarly with iD14 it's got the same Burr Brown converters as ASP800
we recommend them sometimes as a pair so you'll get 10 channels of exactly the
same preamp and exactly the same converters.
So with iD4 you actually have AKM converters
which will sound probably a bit different from the Burr Browns
that are on the iD14 and iD22
and similarly with iD44 it's got AKM
converters instead of the Burr Browns as well.
That's actually got our highest spec'd converters out of all of the different products
So it'll be interesting to see how that sounds compared to everything else.
So now we've done guitar I think we're ready to do the vocals so again we're going to
start in the console room make sure it's all sounding good in here and then move
into the other room and get all the interface products done again.
We've got the three same mics set up
so we've got the C414 we got the 57 and MKH40
They're all very close to each other so we'll capture the same sound
from the same position.
Zach is about 6 inches away from the pop shield.
So we're going to go into the control room
and we're gonna start recording on the ASP8024.
Okay so we've just finished up to recording the samples for today

because losing weight is hard as hell it is one of the hardest things you have to
do because life is so busy getting in shape and being in a good body fat
somewhere around 15% or less it's hard to do because life makes food convenient
food is something some of us get pleasure from
alcohol is something you get pleasure from that doesn't necessarily help you
be fit going to the gym takes time you got to put it into your schedule I mean
it's just a baby a different thing so think about how that would relate to
helping you be better in your businesses helping you be better in life the
discipline that is required to be physically fit is put it into a gym
schedule and a plan and doing it cooking going to get your groceries and making
that all work and sticking to them when you don't feel like going that set of
discipline is the same discipline people put in business in their marriages in
their life everywhere across the board it just so happens that the Fitness one
is usually the hardest one so just think if you can get into a good schedule of
being in a habit of going to the gym working out your plan cooking buying
your meals and settle into that discipline imagine how you might be able
to translate that discipline to your side hustles to your current job and how
you can be more productive so being physically fit also leads to long term
gratification for you doing short term work getting yourself physically fit
unless you've got a hundred or more pounds to lose the average person just
by doing these discipline steps can get in decent shape in about six to eight to
ten months short-term gratification but that short-term gratification can lead
to long term habits of good he'll allow you to live a longer fuller life with
more productivity and more quality of life and then being able to live longer
and spend all this money and enjoy it because you've worked all these years to
save it and invest it and you're not some damn vegetable potato in a bed you
can't get out that's another gratification of getting discipline and
discipline making life better for you it also makes you healthier you know
creating better outcomes because fellas you know as you get older if you
haven't been taking care of yourself that little Wii wheel you're starts not
to work properly if you can maintain a level of physical fitness throughout
your life you are going to be in a better position to be able to do all the
things you're doing when you're as 20s even when you're in your 60s and 70s I
just happen to be blessed to be around coaches that are 55 plus then adorned
things 20 year olds aren't doing I mean these dudes is in great physical shape
and that has rubbed off for me and when I was going through my various hard time
for my business the discipline of being on my diet made it easier to get through
those hard times in business because all that required was a little bit more
discipline in my business and I was able to do it because the dieting was so hard
that part of my business didn't really feel all that hard which brings me to
the last point just being able to maintain that level of physical fitness
it's very hard and by it being so hard it makes all the other things in your
life easy now granted once you start living this once you put it into a
lifestyle it does become easier it makes things easier and then certain things
that used to bother you and get on your nerves you'll look at it be like oh damn
that doesn't bother me now why am I even sweating there because you have built a
lifestyle of discipline around your physical fitness so ladies and gentlemen

5 Metaphysical Mistakes That Can Lead To Distortion In Your Reality - Duration: 7:12.
We are coming to a time in our reality where things should be coming up for clearing in
the lives of most of the forerunners.
If you are having trouble staying balanced or keeping your relationships sacred, you
or someone around you may have some issues with hitchhikers or uninvited walk ins.
There are many false teachings and practices that are created to keep us blindfolded to
energy vampirism and open to manipulation.
Here are 5 metaphysical mistakes that can lead to distortions in a person's reality.
The Inability to tell true guidance from false guidance
If one's heart is not open it is almost impossible to tell your true guidance from
entity or negative spirit guidance.
Guidance that tells you what to do, points out the faults in someone else, or judges
another's path is not going to be your highest spirit guidance.
Many false guides want to keep you battling someone else in order to consume energy.
Some may want to keep you alone in sadness and depression, and some yo-yo back and forth
in a volatile dance.
Because of the deception involved, many people spiral down this path giving their power and
energy away to ghouls that may be unseen to most but can be seen or felt to the tuned
in psychic.
These false guides often give incorrect relationship advice, send people off on wild goose chases
masked as "grid work" (as opposed to legitimate gridwork), and encourage people to quit their
jobs and/or leave their family and responsibility behind.
False synchronicities Negative spirits can manipulate the matrix
through other people in order to set up synchronicities that make it seem like a "coincidence"
that a certain event happened.
Because we have positive synchronicites that are supposed to let us know that we are on
the right path, these sets ups can be mistaken for an invitation to "following the white
rabbit" In relationship, this is usually part of a "Love Bite" scenario as described
in Eve Lorgen's book.
For example, you may just happen to run into someone while out for a walk more times than
the normal odds would provide.
Other false synchronicities like deciding where to live or what job to take are created
in order to traverse off of the highest and best timeline.
It is easy to tell the difference between a false synchronicity and a positive one by
the way it feels in your gut and in your heart.
You can also use common sense to tell if something just does not feel right, especially if the
decision you are trying to make because of a synchronicity harms or hurts someone else.
If your heart is closed, it's prime sandbox play for the djinns because you are unable
to use your spidey senses to discern.
Allowing a spirit to enter your third eye One of the most dangerous ways a negative
spirit can manipulate someone is to pose as a beautiful siren or handsome knight which
may come toward a person and then enter their third eye.
From that position, all visions and realities can be manipulated.
Our real guides have no need to enter any of our chakras.
Be sure to keep your auric field protected and sealed.
Opening your crown chakra in a group meditation Many unsuspecting metaphysical and spiritual
groups lead group meditations where energetic buffets can take place.
If the person responsible for organizing the event does not have a "seer" in the room
and protection in place, everyone who attends can allow energy, technology, or negative
spirits in through guided meditations that open up the crown chakra.
From that seat, a person's connection to Source can be distorted and lessened.
Walk ins Your body is sacred, and whoever occupies
the body has a vested interest in what happens on planet Earth.
The only walk ins that one should allow in their body are those of their higher selves,
which is planned to occur at a certain time and level of consciousness with the soul's
orchestration.
Unfortunately, those who have cracks in their auric field through trauma, addictions, and
abuse are prime targets for disembodied entities (people who have "died" and are looking
for a host) and astral beings who are looking for energy in order to survive.
There are a number of traps laid in the matrix for energetic vampirism and to stop the forerunners
from ascending in vibration.
Matrix programmers, light workers, starseeds, code carriers, and healers can be targeted
from birth on throughout their lives.
The biggest manipulation is often through close family members and unsuspecting friends
at an early age, in order to create the abuse that will get the auric field open before
the child is able to make proper discernment decisions on their own.
"Sparkly and shiny" and all that glitters often lure the young child into giving consent
for their play friends to join them in the wrong ways.

child up for distorted realities and split personalities.
The good news is that we are getting much needed help from star nations at this time
to clear these distortions in order for people to begin to make clear choices on their own.
Each star nation or race has crews that are helping their incarnated family member.
There have been recent reports of first contact in dreams, visions, and internal thoughts.
Professional mediums, psychics, and healers are being trained to "see" these distortions

What is the exact point of death and what comes next?

For many, American chauffeur Joe Tiralosi is considered a medical miracle!
In 2009 he collapsed, his heart stopped and his brain stopped working.
Tiralosi was dead.
But in one of North America's best hospitals, medical teams gave it their all: they shocked
his heart with 360 joules, gave him a chest compressing massage over and over again ... Ten
minutes later, Tiralosi still showed no signs of life.
But the doctors went on - here was a limit at which some other teams would have safely
stopped the treatment.
Tiralosi was injected with adrenaline, but even after 30 minutes, he showed no reaction.
Should all have been in vain?
The chauffeur had already been dead for 40 minutes.
Most medical teams would probably have stopped now at the latest, because of the risk that
large parts of the brain have died.
The question is, is it really possible to get enough oxygen into the brain with artificial
respiration?
Even if the heart would start beating again.
After 47 minutes and 20 seconds there is a loud beep, the zero line on the monitor turns
into a strong upward deflection!
And yes, the case actually has a happy ending - and what's more: Tiralosi was able to leave
the hospital after three weeks - on foot.
And, strictly speaking, it is not a medical miracle, but a spectacular success of modern
resuscitation medicine.
Up to 30 percent of normal oxygen can be delivered to the brain through a well-performed resuscitation.
The problem: It's really exhausting; Even professionals can not hold this level for
more than a few minutes.
But from my circle of acquaintances, I know a case where an elderly woman was repeatedly
kept alive only by chest compressions and by artificial respiration for 30 minutes,
the body could be oxygenated enough, that the person could then be resuscitated.
And this respiration and chest compressions was done by a petite woman.
Heart-lung machines, chest straps and hydraulic pumps can do that much better!
Also enormously important: cold, which cools down the deceased's body.
In any case, Tralosis's life was saved by the endurance of the emergency physicians
and the cold.
What the case of Tiralosi clearly shows, has not been known for too long: Death is a process
and NOT a moment.
It enters slowly and spreads in the body.
Even hours later, it can still be interrupted.
Only 60 years ago, people thought completely different: Thump - Thump - Thump - and end!
As long as the heart beats, we live.
When it stops, we are dead - and that is irreversible.
At that time, the Austrian-American physician Peter Safar wrote the book "ABC of Resuscitation",
in which he described for the first time how to revive a person after a cardiac arrest:
by breathing, keeping the respiratory tract free and compressing the chest.
But what exactly makes us die after 80, 90, 100, in the meantime, sometimes even at the
age of 120, in a natural way?
There are trillions of cells in our body and they age - until we die from it.
Our "internal clock" is ticking because at some point an important biological process
in our body will stop: the everyday cell division, which ensures that old cells are replaced
and replaced.
The old cells die or live only in a kind of "stand-by mode".
The physical decline in old age is also based on other mechanisms.
In the end, several organs and biological processes fail.
The lungs, the brain, or the cardiovascular system are sometimes referred to as "ports
of entry of death."
From a medical point of view, there is no THE death.
First, there is the so-called "clinical death" when the cardiovascular system stops and organs
are no longer supplied.
Sometimes this can still be counteracted with respirators or chest compressions.
The "irreversible brain death" looks quite different.
According to the definition in Germany, this means the loss of the cerebrum and cerebellum
and the brain stem - the consciousness is thus lost and that is irreversible.
Incidentally, even in this condition, even in very deep layers of some brain regions,
brain cells can be active.
Machines can keep some functions of a brain-dead body going: it can regulate its own body temperature,
and some brain-dead women even have their baby delivered to birth.
In surgery, some brain-dead patients respond to stimuli: blood pressure increases and muscles
move.
From a medical point of view, reflexes of the spinal cord are responsible and not the
sensation of pain.
To diagnose brain death, there are clear guidelines that two doctors have to go through independently!
You've probably heard of near-death experiences.
The near-death experiences network estimates that about four million people in Germany
have had such a mysterious experience - for example, after an accident.
The reports say something like, "It just feels like a perfect sleep - but without dreams."
Others report that they felt it was more like a life after death, such as a "light vision
at the end of the tunnel" or a kind of "life film".
Sometimes they are nice feelings, but fear and panic also often play a role.
From a medical point of view, such near-death experiences occur between clinical death and
resuscitation.
According to studies, about 1/4 of patients who have undergone clinical death report near-death
experiences.
Often especially if the resuscitation took a long time or was particularly difficult.
Neurologically, near-death is, as it were, an expression of a dysfunction in the brain;
if the supply was not good for a long time.
The field of legal medicine knows in detail about the different phases of death.
It is clear that the organs often have to cope for a time without oxygen and nutrients.
The cells in the brain die after about five minutes; the heart lasts up to 30 minutes
and then all the cells in the liver and lungs die too.
The blood goes down because it stops circulating - death spots develop.
And you know that from thrillers: they reveal a great deal, for example about the cause
of death and the time.
Similar to the rigor mortis, which sets in after about two hours.
Specifically, the muscles stiffen and die.
After a few days, the rigidity dissolves again.
One to two days after the onset of death, the gastrointestinal tract then gives up;
Bacteria begin with the decomposition of the body!
Sperm persist for longer - up to three days!
The entire decomposition process of the human body lasts 30 years - after that, nothing
of us will be left really.
How exactly do the moments of dying feel - that in turn is still largely unexplored.
How should that work? after all, none of the dead I know have risen again.
But there are animal experiments.
Thus, brain activity does not gradually decay during the dying process, but increases significantly
for a short time For example, a research team from the University of Michigan reported in
2013.
So far, however, it was assumed that this process does not exist in humans.
But there are the latest findings and maybe humans themselves are responsible for the
near-death experiences described.
In any case, through this error, the phenomenon in humans is still completely unexplored.
What will dying look like in the future?
After all, research teams around the world are tinkering with eternal life, and yes,
the visions of science are gigantic.
The Methuselah Foundation in Virginia wants to make it possible in the future for humans
to remain at the biological age of 25 forever.
90-year-olds should stay as healthy as those 40 years younger.
Biotechnology is making more and more progress towards eternal life, supported by a lot of
money from the pharmaceutical industry.
Time magazine asked in 2013 "Can Google solve Death?".
Can Google stop death?
Previously, the digital company Google had founded its daughter "Calico" with 1.5 billion
dollars to find an answer to exactly this question.
Half of the funding was driven by a pharmaceutical company.
Also, the Silicon Valley billionaire Larry Ellison is a death opponent and hopes that
lots of money will lead to numerous scientific discoveries, which then in combination with
better healing methods can extend our lives.
But until that becomes reality, everyone can take care of improving the quality of their
own lives.
In the best case, this also increases the service life.
Research teams around the world point out that meditation can reduce stress, for example.
And too much stress accelerates the biological aging, as many studies say.
And if that's not enough, research teams around the world are also optimistic: In 20 years'
time, it is estimated that we will be able to resuscitate people who are already dead
for up to 24 hours.
A case like Tiralosi would no longer be the exception, but the rule!
But what happens after death - is there a life after that?
Are we born again?
What happens to the human soul - is it immortal?
You all know what the different religions mean.
Sometimes the near-death experiences are used as proof: the body has detached itself from
the soul and stood on the threshold of the afterlife.
There is absolutely no consensus about this scientifically.
There are scientists who believe in such scenarios.
However, most experts in this area explain near-death experiences neurologically.
And so these experiences provide no evidence of a life after death.
Often, quantum physics is brought into play in this discussion.
Can it create the connection between the physical body and the immaterial soul or does it even
smash it?
Ultimately, however, quantum physics is just another theory about the behavior of physical
particles.
In my opinion, it is doubtful, that we can make serious statements about an immaterial
soul.
Sounds like a lot of nonsense.
And so it remains a question of faith, whether there is an immortal soul or not.
At any rate, science can not answer it.
However technology advances more and more, so a question we might soon ask is, do we
still need a human body for our consciousness?

How can I Overcome Temptation // How to Resist Temptation | GotQuestions.org - Duration: 5:11.
Today's question is, "How can I overcome temptation?"
In this video I'll answer that question from a biblical perspective.
Afterwards, as always, I'll share some helpful resources, so stick around until the end.
The Scriptures tell us that we all face temptations.
First Corinthians 10:13 says, "No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to
man."
Perhaps this provides a little encouragement as we often feel that the world is bearing
in on us alone, and that others are immune to temptations.
We are told that Christ was also tempted: "For we do not have a high priest who cannot
sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are,
yet without sin" (Hebrews 4:15).
Where, then, do these temptations come from?
First of all, they do not come from God, although He does allow them.
James 1:13 says, "For God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone."
In the first chapter of Job, we see that God allowed Satan to tempt Job, but with restrictions.
Satan is roaming on the earth like a lion, seeking people to devour (1 Peter 5:8).
Verse 9 tells us to resist him, knowing that other Christians are also experiencing his
attacks.
By these passages we can know that temptations come from Satan.
We see in James 1:14 that temptation originates in us as well.
We are tempted when we are "carried away and enticed by our own lust" (verse 14).
We allow ourselves to think certain thoughts, allow ourselves to go places we should not
go, and make decisions based on our lusts that lead us into the temptation.
How then do we resist the temptations?
First of all, we must return to the example of Jesus being tempted in the wilderness by
Satan in Matthew 4:1-11.
Each of Satan's temptations was met with the same answer: "It is written," followed
by Scripture.
If the Son of God used the Word of God to effectively end the temptations—which we
know works because after three failed efforts, "the Devil left him" (v. 11)—how much
more do we need to use it to resist our own temptations?
All our efforts to resist will be weak and ineffective unless they are powered by the
Holy Spirit through the constant reading, studying, and meditating on the Word.
In this way, we will be "transformed by the renewing of your mind" (Romans 12:2).
There is no other weapon against temptation except the "sword of the Spirit, which is
the Word of God" (Ephesians 6:17).
Colossians 3:2 says, "Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on
earth."
If our minds are filled with the latest TV shows, music and all the rest the culture
has to offer, we will be bombarded with messages and images that inevitably lead to sinful
lusts.
But if our minds are filled with the majesty and holiness of God, the love and compassion
of Christ, and the brilliance of both reflected in His perfect Word, we will find that our
interest in the lusts of the world diminish and disappear.
But without the Word's influence on our minds, we are open to anything Satan wants
to throw at us.
Here, then, is the only means to guard our hearts and minds in order to keep the sources
of temptation away from us.
Remember the words of Christ to His disciples in the garden on the night of His betrayal:
"Keep watching and praying that you may not enter into temptation; the spirit is willing,
but the flesh is weak" (Matthew 26:41).
Most Christians would not openly want to jump into sin, yet we cannot resist falling into
it because our flesh is not strong enough to resist.
We place ourselves in situations or fill our minds with lustful passions, and that leads
us into sin.
We need to renew our thinking as we are told in Romans 12:1-2.
We must no longer think as the world thinks, or walk in the same way that the world walks.
Proverbs 4:14-15 tells us, "Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not proceed
in the way of evil men.
Avoid it, do not pass by; Turn away from it and pass on."
We need to avoid the path of the world that leads us into temptation because our flesh
is weak.
We are easily carried away by our own lusts.
Matthew 5:29 has some excellent advice.
"If your right eye makes you stumble, tear it out and throw if from you; for it is better
for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to be thrown into
hell."
That sounds severe!
Sin is severe!
Jesus is not saying that we literally need to remove body parts.
Cutting out the eye is a drastic measure, and Jesus is teaching us that if necessary,
a drastic measure should be taken to avoid sin.

How Many Homes Can You Buy With Credit? - Part 4 - Duration: 7:37.
Hey, welcome back to the series on partnering and real estate and how to do
it. And today's topic is really, "How many homes can you qualify for?" If you're
going to partner up and do real estate, your credit has limitations. So, the question
is, "How far will your credit actually go?"
So, the first thing that you need to understand is that my credit, your credit,
the President of the United States credit, all of our credit has a limit.
Which means banks are only comfortable lending so much to us. Now, I will tell
you that if you're getting into a partnership arrangement and you're the
funding partner, that means that you're bringing money or credit or both to the
table, you want to be aware of how far your credit can really go. In today's
financial climate and really what it's been for quite a long time, is that banks
are comfortable helping you lend on up to maybe 10 homes.
You'd have to probably use a variety of different banks. But ultimately, what ends
up happening is that when you buy an investment property, you can imagine that
that mortgage reflects on your credit. And what that does is that increases
your debt-to-income ratio. However, you can supply the bank with the rental
contract. And they'll take 75% of the income and count it against the debt.
So, if you have a solid cash flow on that property, it could bring it all the way
back down to zero. And in that bank side is they're basically saying, it's like, "We
see that you have a home but you're not financially negatively impacted." In fact,
often if you do it the right way you can be positively financially impacted and
actually qualify easier with every home you buy. But banks have a tolerance.
They've got rapid acquisition rules on how many homes will allow you to buy it
in a certain period of time. We'll have rules on whether you can buy one at a
time versus two or three at a time. And ultimately, when you get to ten, most
banks are going to say, "You're out of the game." That does not mean that you're out
of the game. What it does mean is that we need at some point in the journey to
bring on what I call a credit partner. Now, credit partner is the individual
that says, "I got great income, I got great credit.
I don't maybe have money to invest in real estate but if you'll give me a
small piece of the profits maybe 5 or 10 percent on the back, maybe is
something a little different to incentivize me, I'll actually carry the
liability of this." Well, in my specific case, my partner's normally get 5%
of profits and I'll pay them a couple thousand dollars on the front. So,
that means they get something upfront. And then when the home eventually comes
off their credit years later, they're also going to get a percentage of the
proceeds at the time of sale. So, I just want to share with you... If any of that
went over your head, what it basically means is, there's no limit to how much
real estate you can buy. Would I give up 5 or 10% of profits to be able
to continue buying as many homes as I want with the bank system? Absolutely. So,
I want you to be aware that that does exist. Now, let's jump into
pre-qualification. Whether you are bringing someone on to partner with or
if you're going to be my partner. As the funding partner one of the things that
we need to ascertain is where you at financially with your credit? That means
we're going to put together something we call a mega file. That means one of my
assistants is going to put you in touch with my banking team. And they're going to
request a stack of documents. And it might take you a couple hours to track
it all down. They're going to want recent mortgage statements or the last two
years of taxes. They're going to want recent pay stubs, they're going to pull your credit.
They're going to do all of these things. And what they're looking to do is not
qualify you for doing an investment property. Remember, we're trying to build
a huge portfolio right out of the gate. We can pretty much determine how many
homes you'll ever be able to purchase. And can you buy one at a time, two at a
time or three at a time. One of the things that can be challenging for some
people is to actually do the boring minutia.
I need my partners to do this. You've got to go dig in and gather up all your
personal finances. Don't be a worried about being judged. You need to be honest
and you want to supply everything. It is a third party lending team. There's
nothing they can do with that financial information by law. They can't sell it,
they can't share it, they can't do anything. In fact, their offices are under
lock and key. Because that information is not allowed to switch hands in any way
shape or form. Now, if you supply all of those documents... And I would encourage
you to do it as soon as possible like that's one of those things as a partner.
You can say, "Hey, I'm being a good partner. I'm jumping right on the bandwagon. I'm
going to supply all that." And we give it to the lending team. And what they're doing
is they're looking at all the different banks that we work with. Now, remember
this is a team that has done hundreds and hundreds and hundreds and millions
of dollars worth of lending? This is their specialty. They're not going to treat
this like a normal loan. This isn't your buddy or roommate or
family member that does loans. They're not allowed into the process here.
Because we're actually looking at a series of banks, a sequence of banks and
how to get your credit to go as far as possible. Now, after they've had your file
for a few days, they're going to get back in touch and essentially say, "Here's how
much you can buy. Here's one you can buy, here's how often you can buy, here's our
banks with rapid acquisition rules, here's the banks that don't care how
many you have. These are the banks that have slightly
lower rates versus higher rates." But they're all going to be within a similar
margin of each other. And the team that I've set up to do this, basically, they
charge very standard rates and they're going to do a lot of extra work and go
above and beyond to help build this portfolio. Now a lot of people I will
pause for a moment to say, "get rate conscious." I want you to understand I'm
extraordinarily rate conscious. But there's something more important than
being conscious about rate. And that's scoring the next deal. Imagine for a
moment going with the bank that maybe has a slightly higher interest rate.
Maybe a quarter percent higher. But they'll allow you to buy your next four
homes when the bank with the lower interest rate wouldn't. That means that
you actually can get in the game. And we're not ever going to have
conversations and mincing words over a half a percent or a quarter percent or
an eighth of a percent. Because I want the lowest rate possible because that
will give us the highest cash flow possible. But remember, if we're earning
20% ROI on a deal and the interest rates a quarter higher then
maybe this 20% ROI drops just to hair. You know what?
Whether it's 20% or 19 and a half or 20 and a half percent, guess what?
That's the big money that we're focused on. So, we are going to be rate conscious.
But it's more important to make sure we can buy all the real estate that we want.
Now, what if we find out that you actually can't qualify? You might have as
a partner money but you may not be able to have very usable credit? Some of you
might own a business and you might have a lot of right offs. And so, you might
make a fantastic income but thank goodness to our tax write-off system, it
might not look like you have much. So the eyes of the bank might say, "Well, they
can't really buy anything or they can't do very much." Don't worry. We're going to
bring in a credit partner from day one or day ten or day 1,000 because at some
point we know credit will run out and it's about being able to buy the next
deal. That's the most important part of building wealth. To get it compounding
and compounding and compounding. So in the first decade, a little can turn into
a lot. And the second decade a massive amount of money can turn into a legacy
that can keep feeding generations and doing tremendous good. Listen, if you're

HTMA Testing: Can I Find Out How Stressed My Adrenals are From a Hair Test? - Duration: 3:13.
Keiko: Hi.
I'm Keiko and I'm a holistic health coach at KTMHolisticHealth.com.
Keiko: Today, I'm going to show you which HTMA markers to look at to get insight about
your adrenal function.
Please remember to correlate lab data with a person and their complaints.
Keiko: So just a quick background on the adrenals.
Adrenals have three main functions: number one is to regulate blood sugar and inflammation,
and number two is to regulate mineral balances particularly sodium and potassium, and number
three, it produces a variety of hormones.
Keiko: Your adrenal glands are constantly responding to stressors both internal and
external.
Internal will be things like pathogens, infections, and toxic metals and external can be things
like rattlesnakes and arguments.
Keiko: Now, let's look at the markers.
The first two we're going to look at are sodium and potassium.
So if sodium is 25 mg percent or less, you're looking at lowered adrenal function; and if
potassium is 10 mg percent or less, you're also looking at lowered adrenal function.
Keiko: Now let's look at the two ratios to get further insight into your adrenal function.
The first ratio we're going to look at is the sodium to potassium.
This is known as the Adrenal Strength Indicator or Vitality Ratio or the Stress Ratio.
Keiko: The ideal is 2.5 and if it's over we're looking at strength or stress depending on
how far it is from the ideal.
So the further away it's going to be the higher stress, and below it, we're looking at weakness
or burnout.
The further away you are from ideal, you're going to be further burnt out.
Keiko: The next ratio we'd be looking at would be the sodium to magnesium.
This is known as the Adrenal Ratio.
The ideal is 4.17, which is right here.
If it's over it, you're looking towards more activity or overactivity, and under is underactivity.
And again, this is a spectrum so it just depends on how far away you are from the ideal.
Keiko: So two things to note.
If the sodium to magnesium ratio is below 1, that would really indicate that you've
got pretty exhausted adrenals and you generally won't see much toxic metals being eliminated
from your hair.
The other thing is since both of these ratios utilize sodium, you want to make sure that
if you have a water softener or swim in seawater that you are rinsing your hair in distilled
or reverse osmosis water to make sure there is no sodium contamination.
Keiko: Make sure to take this information within a bigger context.
Since I'm trained as an FDN-P, I have also run other functional lab tests to correlate
the information I get from the HTMA to get a better picture.
So I've used the DUTCH, which is the dried urine test for comprehensive hormone, as well
as the Biohealth HPA stress profiles using saliva.
They correlate really well with the adrenal function HTMA markers.
