Youtube daily car Nov 5 2018

hi guys welcome back to another money Monday video where we talk all about

making your wallet right on Monday if you're new to my channel hello my name

is Kat Theo and today I have a plant with me to make it look a little bit less

like I'm in a tub because I would not put a plant in my tub that would be

weird so today we're gonna talk about nine

ways you can make your car make you some money today there are two main things

you probably should understand if you're gonna make a lot of money in life one of

those things is a liability and an asset a liability is something that you buy

that takes money away from your wallet and an asset is something you can buy

that makes you money for most people their car is a liability but today we're

gonna make your car into an asset it's like something falling from my building

I don't know what that was so if you are an OG to my channel and you've been

following me for a little bit I've already talked about some of these ways

so we're just gonna get through the first few things out of our talked about

in other videos quickly and then we're going to talk about the new things in

detail later so let's get into it

so the first way you can turn your car into a money-making machine is by

driving kids around so in my last video I talked about Zum but there are tons

of children's transportation services all over the United States that you can

check out so Zum Kango and hopskipdrive are all located in the California

area kid car is in New York bubbl Dallas is in the Dallas area go kart is

in North Carolina area and kids cab is in Chicago if you are not located in any

of these places you can just type in kids transportation services into Google

with your city like Omaha or Seattle and you will see everything that comes up so

with all of these kids transportation services you will be fingerprinted have

a background check and it is important that you have a clean driving record

okay my second way your car can make you money is by roadie like I mentioned in

my other video roadie is an app that matches up people that need to get

something shipped with people that are already going in that direction so if

you're already going in that direction you can pick up this tangible item and

you can go wherever they need you to go the amount does vary from shipment to

shipment but the pay will be between $8 to $50 per shipment my third way you can

make money with your car is with shipt shipt is essentially delivering

groceries to customers you can make up to $25 an hour with shipt plus tips

another similar website to shift is Burpy wit Burpy they pay you by direct

deposit and you can actually choose when you are going to get paid so if you

decide you want to wait until you have a thousand dollars in the app you can do

that the fourth way is with Amazon flex like we talked about before

Amazon flex pays about 18 to 25 dollars an hour delivering Amazon packages you

do need commercial insurance, a as well as a clean driving record and a

background check but deliveries are available seven days a week so it's very

likely you will have a lot of options of deliveries the fifth way we talked about

in my other video is with Turo renting out your car when you're not using it so

if you are using your car during the week to get to work or to study but on

the weekends maybe you could use your mom's car or your friend's car or maybe

your friends can just pick you up then this could be a really good opportunity

for you to make some money while you're not using your car another app slash

website similar to Turo is get around get around website says that the average

renter makes about six thousand dollars a year on get around and on Turo it's

about six thousand five hundred dollars a year or renting out your car for

average of fifteen days okay now that's out the way let's talk about the new

ways you can make some money out of your car the six way is through lime juicing

lime juicing is essentially charging limes which are scooters around your

city that are dead or have a low battery so what you will do is you will use the

app to find where are the dead lime scooters and you will take them to your

house and you will charge them in your home these scooters take about five to

seven hours to charge completely and you'll be paid five to nine dollars per

scooter so if you can take like four to eight scooters at a time you can be

making you know pretty good money so if you combine lime juicing with some of

the other side hustles on this list you can be making an extra thirty forty

dollars an hour but we will get into that a little bit later I will link down

in the description box a post that I found on reddit of a real life lime juicer and he

talks about all his pros and cons of juicing my seventh way is Carvetise or

wrapify these are two companies that I have heard about in the past

which is essentially just wrapping your car with advertisement

the walking billboard I never mentioned it before because I didn't think you

could make that much money until one of my subscribers Jerry made a comment

saying that his daughter does this and makes seven hundred and fifty dollars a

month with just having this out of her car which I'm like that's crazy because

if you're already doing uber or lyft and you just have this on

your car that's an extra $750 a month like that

is not bad so to qualify with them you do need to have a clean driving record

and you have to drive at least thirty miles a day

my next way is go share so if you have a truck then you probably understand the

struggle of people always asking you to borrow your truck when they need to move

their stuff out their house or if they need to move an Ikea couch into their

home well now you can get paid to use your truck to rent it out to people and

also to help people move and things like that another similar website like this

to rent out your truck to other people is called buddy Turk my ninth site you

can use is called I carpool I'm like uber you can add trips that you already

commonly take on your morning commute or your evening commute also you don't have

to go searching for people and pick them up they all come to you so if you live

in the suburbs for example and you commute to the city every single day you

can put your trip that okay meeting point is at Walmart at 7 o'clock and I'm

gonna drop you off at the Apple store at 7:30 or 8 o clock however long it takes

you and everyone has to meet there you get in the car and go so you're actually

making money from the empty seats in your car and since you don't have to go

out of your way to give rides you're actually making money on routes you

already take every single day ICarpool doesn't say how much they pay per ride

but I imagine that it's something that you decide and

take a commission okay so those are my nine ways you can make your car make you

money but like I was saying if you combine multiple of these side hustles

together you can be making thousands of dollars a month just by having a car for

example if you combine Turo lime juicing carvetise and shipt every

month as well as if you already are doing uber or lyft you can be making a

ton of money and actually I'm really considering it it's not that bad of idea

if I were to buy a new car and I have to pay about $300 a month on that the

payment and I'm making let's say $4,000 a month

I am essentially getting a free car okay thanks so much for watching this video

if you have any other ways that you make money by using your car please let us

know because your comments are really helping us in helping the community know

how we can you know better our pockets and that's always really appreciated so

I will see you in the next video I love you guys bye

The Worst Thing that Can Happen to Your Car at Night and How to Prevent It - Duration: 5:10.

rev up your engines, all right the leaves are starting to fall, cold weathers

coming on, so I'm going to show you how you can keep rodents from getting into

your car and damaging electronics, now when it gets cold outside rodents, a nice

warm car what a comfy place to come in make a nest and live and it happens to

more than just people in the country, it happens to people in the city, it's

happened to me, as you can see on my old tree here my neighbor got a chainsaw and

cut all around to kill the vines, well guess what happened inside the vines

rats were living inside, here's their little nest holes, because a few years ago I was

working on a car in the driveway here it was a windy day and all of the sudden I heard a

flop and this rat landed on the ground and ran away, I guess it was in

it's nest and the wind blew it out, now it's not too cold and here in Houston very

often, rats and mice aren't looking for warm places to hide like they are up

north, but still in the winter they get in the car they get under the hood and

they start chewing on things and from what I've read of scientific research

the rodents like chewing on the wires because the 12 volts doesn't hurt them

but it does something to the endorphins in their brain and it turns them on, so

they like chewing on all the little wires and they get a little tingly

feeling inside and of course you don't want them messing with your wires especially

on the computer system is your car so you want to keep them out of there, now I

guess you get a cat throw it in there but I don't think the cat's gonna want to

be living under the hood of your car, so here's something I found years ago that

works quite good, it's an ultrasonic rodent chaser, I had a leg up on most people

because my old house there, it's crooked its pier and beam, hey there were rats there that would

get in the walls, we'd hear them in the winter, so years ago I stuck 120 volt

versions of these ultrasonic pest repellers inside various parts of the

wall and I know it works because we never hear them anymore especially in

the winter when it's cold behind our bed on the wall, we used to have to beat on the

wall in the middle of night we'd hear them squeaking and rattling around

we haven't heard that in years, but little did I know they make 12 volt

versions you can stick under your car's hood, now they emit ultrasonic sounds

that rodents can hear but we and cats and dogs can't hear, when you put in the

battery, I hooked it up to a 9-volt battery here

a little light comes on but really, how do you know it's not a scam and it

doesn't do anything well, here's how you find out, being a mechanic at one of

these ultrasonic sound detecting machines, yeah you might I think, what am I

doing with that, well it's good for finding special noises in cars when you

work on them, so I put this on, put it next to the generating machine and as you can

now hear when I put the headphones next to the microphone on a camera, it emits

horrible vacillating sounds, now the early ones only made run frequency and

it turns out that the roads got used to that one noise, but these they keep

changing the frequency and it drives them nuts and they run away and you

don't have to worry about it bothering your cats or dogs look, they sleep right

through it, they can't hear it either, you can just put it anywhere you want under

the hood, I hooked this one up to a 9-volt battery and it actually lasts quite some

time, but it's also set up that you can just get the positive the negative wire

and hook positive to the positive battery terminal and negative to the negative

battery terminal, these things use up such a small on a power hooking it up your

battery it's really gonna hurt anything in a car you drive everyday, it uses a

really tiny amount of electricity, now I've been using this one for years but I

only use it in the winter so I use this little 9-volt battery, because here in

Houston most of the time it's really hot and no rodent wants to go under a hot

engine on hot day you know, they're only gonna go there when it's cold outside

seeking shelter, now over the years I've seen customers have the fuel injection

wires chewed up, that can short out to the computer, I've seen them mess with the

alternator wiring it can do a lot of damage if a rat or a mouse gets in and

starts chewing away and I suppose since they're kind of getting high with

endorphins chewing on it getting that a little electric thrill, they probably

start chewing even harder the higher the rats get, now these little

ultrasonic repelling devices, they cover a pretty wide area so something this

size easily will do under your car but let's say you got an RV or something

you're storing and you don't want rats and mice getting in that, they also make

large ones that are for like outdoor areas and you can get one of those and

throw them in your RV, I've seen them where they run on three C batteries and

they'll run for months on that and they'll chase anything from coming

inside your RV and making a mess, now since its

mechanic Monday I'm giving away at one of these ultrasonic pest repellers, to have

a chance to win, just place a clean non offensive comment on the YouTube comments

below and a winner will be chosen randomly by computer to win a little

machine that will keep rats and mice away from your vehicle and all that

expensive electronics that they can destroy, so if you never want to miss

another one of my new car repair videos, remember to ring that Bell!

Forcément, on y pense.

Uber-Challenger Zoox Is Building Safer Self-Driving Cars - Duration: 6:25.

There are about 40,000 people killed in car crashes in the US every year. That's

an average of a hundred and two deaths every day. "We have two jumbo jets

crashing every week, basically that's how many lives we lose every week in the US

a hundred people a day that is horrible and we got to change that" Regulators and

car makers have tried to tackle this issue by adding seatbelts and airbags to

cars, but around the world there are countless people who are working to

solve the problem with a different approach - by removing drivers altogether.

"The number one reason I started working on this technology originally as because

driving is just profoundly dangerous I don't think very many people appreciate

how unsafe it is to drive a car Jessie Levinson has been working on

self-driving car tech for 13 years in 2014 he co-founded tzuke's

and set out to build a new type of vehicle from the ground up I think we

can do a lot better the primary way is by using autonomous technology to avoid

accidents 94% of which are caused by pretty obvious human mistakes and human

errors the other thing is we can use this opportunity to create a safer

fundamental vehicle architecture so that even if somebody else runs into us the

people inside our vehicle or as safe as possible

zooks plans on building an autonomous ride-sharing service that will operate

in cities you should look at autonomous as two different areas one is autonomy

as a feature and hers autonomy is a service which is taking a passenger

safely from point A to point B and there are the companies like Suk's that are

being built from the ground up to be these autonomous mobility companies but

Zuke's faces big competition it is widely believed that the two leading

developers of self-driving vehicles are way Moe and GM crews because they have

so many miles under their belt way moe and crews are believed to be ahead of

everyone else in terms of how quickly we might see these vehicles these

self-driving vehicles out on the road that doesn't mean that they have the

market locked up compared to all of the different players

in the space zooks is an outlier in addition to developing

the autonomous attack it is also building the vehicle from scratch we can

create an amazing product experience and also a vehicle that has much higher

safety redundancy and robustness then you can do by retrofitting a car and

then our goal is to provide that as a service so you would use it like you use

uber and lyft but instead of getting in the backseat of a stranger's Prius

you're getting in a beautiful robot that's comfortable and safe and

tailor-made for this application there are great big Harwich succeeding that

means people gonna look at your very social the other thing we've talked

about is it's gonna be bi-directional can go in two different directions which

means no more three-point turns put that in a city it's gonna be much safer

moving around there's all kinds of things we get to do when we remove the

driver and the steering wheel that's what could kill you in a crash now we

have a chance to totally reconfigure what that internal airbag system is

going to look like and make it safer than anything that's on the road today

the company showed us prototypes of its carriage vehicle which is primarily for

testing purposes on closed tracks but Zuke's has not yet revealed what its

taxis will actually look like in the meantime the company is testing its

software out on the streets of San Francisco with a fleet of Toyotas

outfitted with sensors and computers but some experts are skeptical that testing

on public roads will lead us to safer autonomous vehicles they have to drive

and read read smuggle on all the scenarios they need to get through in

order to properly learn everything you need to learn at some point they're

gonna have to run thousands of accident scenarios balance upon it publicly so

what does that mean that would be thousands of are we could have the Train

Michel de court thinks that testing these dangerous situations and

simulations could be a better and more efficient way to make these vehicles

safe enough for the road he also said that clearer regulation is

needed and compared the autonomous car industry to the early days of aviation

there were deaths in strategy and perversion hearings and parts coverage

and then eventually we got to the FDA and had detailed procedures and detailed

requirements right now this nonsense now we're Department of Education says

they're gonna have 20 more surgeries all frameworks regarding lead to is giving

companies air cover legally to do the least amount possible but getting the

public to trust a vehicle without the driver behind the wheel is probably the

biggest hurdle that Zuke's and the others face earlier this year a

self-driving Oberer killed a pedestrian in Arizona raising concerns about the

risks of the technology the safety concerns that are out there will limit

how quickly those building robo taxis actually roll out their fleets you will

see them initially in geo-fenced areas and then they'll slowly spread out from

there there will be a lot of consumer resistance the notion of handing over

control to a computer I expect there to be a very short amount of time until the

general public will accept that a lot of people just don't want change and this

could be the most significant change in a hundred years literally transforming

our society in ways we've never imagined before well such a future is enticing

accident free roads will still take some time there's no doubt that autonomous

drive vehicles eventually will be safer the transition however that's gonna take

a long time and I mean like 15 20 25 years it's not gonna be overnight that

we see Robo taxis but when we do if there is an overwhelming majority of

them on the road they will operate safer than if people are driving
