Good morning you guys! I am at Joe's room. I had a sleepover last night. This is
her room this is her side of the bed and that's my bad I don't know why I have my
own bed in her own room so today we have a full day itinerary
of just going around the city it's only 9:20 a.m. we're just
starting to freshen up a little bit. I'm thinking if I should cut my bangs
I don't know, but maybe I will. Let's just see. I hope it's suits me though.
It's kind of like a get ready with me video but instead it's just gonna be me
cutting my own bangs. Alright, let's see if this works out.
By the way, if you guys are wondering whether I know what I'm doing I've
actually done this once before probably like two years ago if you guys are
following my Instagram, you'll know that I had bangs before but I don't know if this
doesn't turn out really good I might go to the salon.
hi guys so this is what happened to my hair
I'm not sure if I like it but the damage has been done anyway so I'm just gonna have
to live with it. Today... just don't mind my hair. So today,
we are going to downtown Vancouver to take some photos of the beautiful city. It is such a
beautiful day sunny day as you can see. And today's Wednesday we don't have any
class today no work schedule or anything like that so we're just gonna grab this
free day that we have to go around, roam around the city. But really, my hair looks funny. HAHA
but I don't know what came to my mind that
I decided to suddenly cut my hair.

to do this crazy thing that I did yeah we're gonna go photo shooting over at the cute
streets here at Vancouver and we're gonna go at Langley. Do you guys remember that
post that I had where we went to Riverdale shooting places. We're gonna
go that place again but on a different side of Langley I think
- our first destination is just straight this street. Let's hurry and cross the
pedestrian!
My bangs are hiding again.
The place is still too quiet. I think it's because it's just 11 a.m. Is that how it is?!

weeks ago I spoke about hashtags everyone is so interested in that topic and
I was pretty overwhelmed by that thank you so much for your support I'm not
sure how exactly you love Draw With Mike but you know leave a comment down below
just about a couple of hours ago when I scrolled out to each of the hashtag feed
and as well as the topic channels in my explore page there is no related hashtag
suggested in my hashtag feed and as well as my topical channels in my explore
page I thought it was just one or two non popular hashtags but even the most
popular hashtags that you probably think that it doesn't really matter because
like you don't do research in that way but now they're hiding the related
hashtags it's difficult for you to do research in terms of getting the right
hashtag and I really don't like it if this is a permanent change I knew
Instagram somehow they have a lot of temporary changes because they need to
tweak something but as i mentioned before they're testing a hidden hashtag
feature called hashtag selector so it could be the reason that why they're
taking this suggested hashtag off and since we're actually speak about hashtag
today I'm actually going to draw something that is with the hashtag frame
how exactly you call that thing it's some kind of like double exposure like
you have the frame and then you draw something like let's get started now I'm
drawing a hashtag now I finished drawing my frame you're probably can't
really see because it's pencil this is the hashtag frame by the end of this
video I'm going to finish complete this drawing now I'm going to continue on
speaking to you Instagram give you ease by having a hashtag in the group niche
down and it's easier for you to target you don't have to guess yourself and how
ironically just a couple of weeks later that now they're actually changing that
I want to clear some myth make sure that you are not panic just because of one
little change would've getting you into trouble two different capacity the first
one I will call it as the post capacity the quantity of how many posts
you exactly have in each of the hashtag search capacity
you have no number but I would say Instagram definitely has this data
because this is how exactly they going to track how many people are searching
hashtag in a minute 60 minute or even in a day so if we have that kind of information
everyone would change their hashtag
strategy for sure with just not only relied on post capacity they probably
would select hashtag that has less post with a lot of search traffic great
competition also great velocity it's important for you to aiming for search
friendly terms I think one of the easiest way is definitely singular term
for example like #art #painting or #drawing #sketch actually makes sense
because they are the terms that people are searching drawing some scenic right
here something like a wave follow me on my Instagram like this video if you like
it aiming for search friendly terms will help you easily I applied all this hashtag
to my post, my number one impressions are hashtags
before this I posted more digital art the hashtag I used was pretty much
like niche hashtag the pages that designated their own hashtag which
is what I call as the marketing hashtag but it does not work as effective as now
what I'm doing I actually have a different experience right now however I
do find success with hashtag marketing next one I'm going for the unpopular
opinion right here listen guys! if you keep using the same hashtags from time
to time from post to post you actually will be favored by algorithm if you also
notice this kind of favoritism leave a comment down below everyone saying that
if you are growing a niche page if you have the consistent type of content it's
easier for you to grow a follower base that potentionally will engage with your
content everyone said that don't use all the hashtags that are same have the
different groups of hashtags switch back and forth which I kind of agree
with that but I would say that Instagram AI can actually detect what your photo
is all about what your video is all about so use hashtag in the way that
also helped algorithm to understand you let's be clear there is no shadowban
you wouldn't get shadowban by hashtag easily I've been using the same type of
hashtag I never have any trouble with shadowban the time that I got shadowban
was when I abused copy and paste the hashtag to my caption and I get blocked out
so once you have the momentum if you suddenly switch things up it will be a
little trouble, not only in the content but as well as
in your hashtag as well recently I post a video which technically helped me to
get 2.3K impressions from hashtags in the next post that I completely switched up
the whole hashtags because I posted something else different and my hashtag
impression was just about 40 to 50 it was insane! oh this is not the first
time that I draw something like a coconut tree or palm tree I think I love
vacation I really need a vacation I truly think coconut tree since there is
an algorithm they will actually tailor things based on past behaviors I've seen
people complain about that when one of their posts doing so well hashtag or at
explore page the next couple of their posts will actually suffer a lot by means
doing well is not just about slightly better it's like a lot better than most
of your impressions most of your recent posts it seems like Instagram picked up
the most popular post and keep pushing to other people suggestions so when you
are absolutely trying to post something else after that period you might
actually suffer a lot everything might fluctuate probably it takes you some
time to heal literally go back to where I started like traumatic I was like
what's going on like I didn't do anything wrong it makes me depressed
because of that I'm not saying that you shouldn't post don't be afraid and
another thing that I want to speak about is how many hashtags to use? So it
doesn't matter it's about 30 hashtags 20 hashtags five hashtags whatever
I would say if you're a small account I would definitely say aim as many hashtags
as possible trying to have hashtags that're actually relevant as I mentioned
search friendly so now they take it away the relation that's why I'm so mad about that
something worked for now doesn't mean it
will work for all the posts and it will escalate your performance all the time
algorithm is so unpredictable I'm aiming for a simple drawing because I think if
I'm drawing something complicated I would take more time to do that fun
catchy so I'm drawing like a underwater some seaweeds it's not exactly like an
algorithm update for this video but you know I want to speak about this because
I think it's better for you to know what is really going on now we're drawing the
mermaid tail, it's been a long time that I didn't draw
a mermaid it's a little funny right now the seashell with the hair the
little eyes of the mermaid the fish-scale

I always have keen interest into something tropical
maybe I love vacationing but you know I don't have the time and I don't have

I named it because it has received a lot of likes
and the one that was saved to collections the most!
So, I'm gonna go for that look.
I will try my best to use the exact same products that I used to create this look.
I was actually meaning to do this makeup on camera
so I tried to memorize what kind of products I used.
First, this is my usual contacts.
I always wear one day lens except for when I'm filming.
I try to use one day lens even when I'm filming, to be honest.
You guys would already know this but I use freshlook one day lens (grey).
I just use different colors depending on what makeup I put on or what kind of occasion it is.
I'm wearing grey ones today!
I've already packed the new products so,
the ones I'm gonna use today are my go-to makeup products that I reach for everyday, for real.

This house has five rooms and I got three out of five rooms all to myself!
We don't have to move, really. The reason we're moving in the first place is because I have too much stuff.
My makeup products and my Harry Potter goods are taking too much space.
And there's a lot of little equipment that I need to have,
so I really needed a lot more space than I do now.
That's why we're moving.
Also, a lot of you guys have asked me if I'm living alone
but I'm not living alone!
I'm still living with my parents!
Except for the brief moment I've spent at the college dormitory,
I've always been living with my parents.
I did mention that I'm an only child few times on my instagram live so
some of you guys would probably already know that.
Yeah, I'm an only child, Oh, I do have a little brother named Lotto, our family dog!
I'm hoping that I continue to live with... Well, I'm not sure when will it be but
I'll get married one day, right?
Who knows when will that be... Haha...
When I get married, I won't be able to live with my parents anyways.
So I think it's best to stay with my parents as long as I can until that happens.
I really like living with my parents.
It is much harder to move because we all have to move together, though.
I'm not just taking my stuff and out , we have to move all of our things.
I couldn't get a proper night's sleep for almost a week now, to take care of things like interior design and whatnot...
I'm losing my mind and my back is so much in pain...

I saw the forecast for tomorrow and they say
it'll be the coldest day so far this year.
I think I have to wear long padding.
I don't like both cold and hot weather.
But, I went to a festival this summer and got really sick, I passed out.
Even after I've experienced that because of the heat,
I hate the cold weather more...
I finished powdering.
I usually go for thinner brow pencil but
I've been using thick one these days.

I know I always say this when I do daily makeup or GRWM but
I follow the natural shape of my brows and try not to draw them too straight.
I'm not a fan of brow shapes that are super neat and precise, personally.
I prefer to just fill in some gaps naturally.
But, then again, I do go for those precisely shaped brows depending on what kind of looks I want.
But I just follow the natural shape for daily makeup.
There are so many stuff in the background so I might be out of focus a little bit from time to time.
I hope you'd understand.

Why don't I feel like I'm moving?
I think it's because...
it only takes 3 minutes to get to the house we're moving to tomorrow from here. No joke.
It's like we're moving next door.
I kept visiting the new house so many times for like, several weeks now,
thought about how to decorate,
and purchased some important furniture and placed it in beforehand.
Maybe I got used to that house already.
As I was preparing to move,
I went to IKEA for 3 days straight like I'm going to work.
It's so funny to put it that way but, honestly. I went there to work for three days.
What kind of furniture should I buy and how should I arrange it
to make the place most practical and effective!
I put a lot of thought into that!

The shelves you see behind is not a makeup shelves.
That is actually a shoe rack that I got from IKEA. It's slanted 45° so
I glues the cord covers
and made makeup shelves.

I also did the same with my new furniture that is supposed to be used in a certain way
but is in use for a different purpose.
I think I can give you guys some tips on how to use furniture in a different way.
My brows are looking pretty thin today.

I majored in Space Installation Art.
So, I have this thing where I can't let anyone else handle my place
because I have my own style when it comes to interior design and decorating. I'm really stubborn about those.
So, I fight a lot about that. With whom? My mom~
My room is my personal space so I just can't let other people
invading that space.
I picked the color of my walls, I painted them myself, I arranged them myself.
I also chose my furniture and I moved it on my own. I paid for it myself as well.
I'm really micro-managing everything.
My nose is up!
Let's carve out my jaw lines!!
I have my own bedroom/fanatic room, that's one.
And my own dress room. That's two.
And my work space/makeup room, that's three.
So I have total of three rooms.
I'm not gonna bother doing the work space interior.
This room is my work space and I put a lot of effort decorating this room back then.
But as I live, I've realized that you don't really need to care that much about the work space interior design.
You should simply paint the walls white and make it nice and clean so that you can focus on work.
I'm not gonna do any more than that.
I'm gonna focus on my fanatic room/bed room instead.
I'm picturing a dream land themed bedroom.
Sort of like Alice's garden + Hogwarts' dorm vibe.

I'm gonna mix these two colors.
First, I'm gonna put this color as a base
and gradate this one focusing on the center of my cheek, like a color spectrum of a flower.
Like watercolor, I'm gonna use these two.

I got nowhere to go. This is packing GRWM...
I used two different products for my lips. CLIO's and 3CE's.
I'm gonna use this one as a base and use CLIO one on the inner parts of my lips.
This is 3CE Velvet Lip Tint Pink Brick.
This is very moody, nude base color.
I really like this kind of colors for base.
I'm gonna over draw my lips, just how I like it.
Next, I have CLIO Mad Lipstick Swing Guava.
So pretty, right? This color combination is the BOMB.
I'm gonna focus on the inner center of my lips and pat, softly gradate the color...
Look at the color, you guys. It's so pretty, right?
My makeup is done! I got nowhere to go but still.

When we think of greatness most of the times we think of a champion let's say Michael
Phelps we just recently did his biography and Michael Phelps when was he great
