Do we miss our flight as TYPHOON HITS HONG KONG - Duration: 4:43.

good morning

it is

day five

day five

and we are in Taipei

we're actually going

to be catching our flight to Hong Kong

are we?

you'll see this is our last day in Taipei that's last day we've scheduled

but we have a bit of a weather related issue

what's the weather related issue

there happens to be a category 5 now typhoon

typhoon not hurricane typhoon

headed for

Hong Kong, straight for Hong Kong

well with I mean that's travel, the one thing you can't

control is the weather right?

yeah

and we don't necessarily purposely want to

be headed towards a category 5 hurricane

the eye of the typhoon hurtled

towards Hong Kong bringing with it gale force winds of up to 200 kilometers an

hour roofs were blown off and windows in some high-rise buildings were blown out

trees were sent flying this crane was ripped from a building and collapsed

with 900 flights were cancelled interrupting travel plans for thousands

of passengers most people bunkered down and stayed indoors some of those who

braved the weather was swept off their feet

all right we're gonna get some coffee so we'll talk later

I'm not sure where

we'll see you maybe at the airport maybe not but we'll see you there

so we make our flights and we are all checked in

we're excited to continue our adventure

onto Hong Kong but we are sad to leave our dear friend Jennifer who has taken

us around Taipei and showed us so much a Taipei

and because of her we got to experience so much of Taipei

we love the city

and we

love her

Thank You Jennifer we love you and we miss you

so we got the last flight into Hong Kong basically before this upcoming hurricane

hurricane mangkut which they're calling the worst type which they're calling the

worst storm in the world currently this year and

so we've decided we're gonna go there

coz that's what we do right?

it just all

the flights are locked and cancelled so we couldn't change it, we tried to change

it but we couldn't change it

so we're stuck in we figured we're just gonna get there

get to our hotel and wait it out

we heard ..there's no water, no bottled water

if we have power

and we're stuck in that hotel

I guess we're gonna do some

editing and maybe upload some vlogs

and sleep

and sleep??

coz, you didn't sleep so well last night did you?

I did

i slept more than you did

I know

I literally had only like an hour and a half sleep

This is turning into more of an adventure

so we did have a wonderful time in Taiwan our

friends were fantastic hosts, we didn't even have to think or worry or do anything

so it was really kind of brainless travel for us which is nice for a change

and now we're gonna have to be a little bit more cognizant of where we're going

and what we're doing in fact we got lost because we weren't paying attention

because we

Welcome to ShotKam. Here is who we are. - Duration: 2:01.

ShotKam is a family owned business that started in 2010 in my garage.

It was a conceptual idea

on how to show my son

why he was missing a target.

My name is Zander

and here's the first camera that my dad

built me out of PVC pipe.

I was only 10 at the time and loved hunting.

To get ready for early teal season

here in Florida,

he took me out to the skeet range.

I remember testing the first prototype that year,

and we still have one of the very first videos.

Here is the second prototype, and for comparison,

this is the size of the ShotKam now.

In 2012, we sold our first ShotKam.

My goal at the time was to sell one ShotKam a day,

however, the customer feedback was

better than I could have dreamed.

It turned out I wasn't the only one who wanted to both personally improve my shooting,

but, more importantly, teach the next generation how to shoot.

My name is Emily, and I am the C.O.O. of ShotKam.

My vision for the company has always been

to make a sleek and innovative product like Apple,

to make a product so good that people talk about it like Tesla,

and have the customer service of Chick-fil-A.

I think it is every man's dream

to have a company carried on by his family.

We now have many more hands,

but we always want to keep that small business feel.

Each camera is built and tested right here,

then boxed in a way that we hope makes our customers

feel appreciated and valued.

To everyone who's been part of this journey,

thank you.

Should We Be Scared of Bats? - Behind the News - Duration: 4:25.

It is me!

No, not you, Dracula. Aw!

I'm talking about bats.

These creepy critters have been sweeping across our screens

trying to freak us all out

for a long time now.

But in real life, are bats really so bad?

So, I thought I'd better find out the real truth

about these funny little creatures

from someone who likes them so much

she even comes to their rescue when they're in trouble.

Her name is Katrina, or as I like to call her, Bat Woman.

(THUNDER RUMBLES)

That was weird.

OK, Amelia, welcome to my little bat cave or my bat room.

As you can see, Katrina is a big fan of bats...

Are you my little bat?

..er, actual bats.

They really do get a bad rap.

I think people look at it as though they're vampire bats.

We don't have vampire bats over here.

They've got pretty mean teeth

but they need those teeth to chew up their prey.

She takes in the injured animals and nurses them back to health

and right now she has four little microbats.

They're exactly what they sound like - teeny-weeny flying mammals,

and there are more than 800 species

of microbat in the world.

Look at that face!

Only a mother could love it.

(LAUGHS) No, they're beautiful.

Katrina gets a lot of calls to help bats around this time of year,

not because it's Halloween,

but because they are all coming out of hibernation,

ready for breeding season.

So they come into my care.

I warm them up a little bit, give them a few drops of water,

some meal worms and fatten them up and then I release them

back into the wild within about a week.

Katrina says it's really, really important

not to touch a bat if you find one.

Some do carry disease,

not so much down here in South Australia

but more up in the tropic areas.

And they will bite you, they will give you a nasty little nip

and they will scratch you and we don't want that to happen at all.

Yeah, that's why I'm keeping my distance.

Except...

How about we go and feed him?

Oh, yes. Yeah, let's do it.

Are you hungry?

Whee!

So this was a bit grosser than I expected,

but a bat's got to eat.

Unlike bigger bats, microbats find their food using echolocation.

They send sound waves out from their mouth or nose

and when those waves hit an object, they echo back.

The nocturnal animals also use it to find their way in the dark.

So it's very important 'cause they can't see very well.

So they really depend on this echolocating to get them around.

Around 43 out of 70 Australian bat species

are threatened or vulnerable.

While predators like big birds and cats are a problem,

drought and destroyed habitats are bigger ones.

The biggest one is deforestation.

Chopping down the areas where they live to build housing

is a big problem.

That's why this bat lover says it's more important than ever

to care about these, actually quite cute, little creatures.

Some of these bats, there are not too many of them left,

so we need to conserve as many as we can

and get them back out there into the wild.

We went to the scene of iPhone XS Max release in Korea - Duration: 3:17.

It's a bold color. It's not bad.

Good morning and happy Friday.

I'm Kim Bo-gyung from The Korea Herald's business desk,

reporting from the one and only Apple Store here in Seoul on Garosu-gil.

So, today -- Nov. 2, at 8 a.m. -- is the day that Apple finally launches the iPhone XR and XS here in Korea.

Now I'm a little excited too, because -- take a look at the line behind me.

It goes all the way down Garosu-gil. Not the block, the entire street.

So, this person next to me is at the very front of the line.

I arrived here yesterday at 9 p.m.

I find (XS Max's) big screen appealing.

The bigger, the better for me, because I watch videos a lot on my phone.

I gave up on Apple in terms of (expecting an affordable) price.

So I'm not surprised about Apple's pricing.

We'll enter as media.

So this is the very first purchaser of the new iPhone.

His name is Kim Sang-hyuk, and he is 25 years old.

Mr. Kim Sang-hyuk here has become the first customer in Korea to buy an iPhone XS Max and Watch.

Everyone, please congratulate him.

I decided to buy an iPhone XS Max because of its data storage and big screen.

The price range doesn't matter -- I bought it because I wanted to.

(I like) the battery and speakers on the new phone.

Compared to the XS and XS Max, these are the budget lineup.

Definitely, a lot of people are showing interest in the red and other colors, as well.

In the midst of these festivities, there are some upset Apple fans,

who are saying they were misled into believing they could purchase some other items today --

items that turned out to be unavailable.

I came here at 11 p.m. (Thursday), because when I called the Apple Garosugil store,

I was told the Hermes edition (of the Apple Watch Series 4) would be here for sure.

But after waiting for hours, I was informed (that I needed to place) an order online.

I thought I would be given priority for waiting long hours, but no.

And they haven't apologized (for the inconvenience).

As an Apple fan, this is extremely disappointing.

We'll interview more people in the middle of the line.

What time did you come out this morning?

We took the first bus here and arrived at around 6 a.m.

I'm here to buy the GPS model of the new Apple Watch.

It's almost 10 a.m., two hours into the launch, but the line still stretches down the street.

If you are an iPhone XR or XS user, please feel free to leave us comments below,

and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

That's all I have for you now. Have a good one.

😀Why Do We SMILE? #TheHunt with #TheWhyHunter - Duration: 5:55.

why do we smile we'll hunt for the reasons

right after the intro welcome to the hunt

the place where we hunt for the reasons why we do

what we do I'm the why hunter

you can think of me as that part of you who's not afraid

to go deep inside to find out the real reasons why

and while you get in touch to that deep part within you

get ready for the hunt why do we smile

try to think about all the reasons to smile

it can be very simple maybe you just feel like it

yes you just feel like smiling maybe it's just a good day

maybe it's just amazing weather maybe it's amazing sunrise yeah

just there in the back another reason to smile

you can go as simple as possible maybe you're just

having fun yes just having fun and you know what

maybe you were just reminded of a time that you had fun

we can deep into the past yes remember the deeper you go

the deeper you go the more powerful you become

yes so let's go deep into the past think about the last time

try to think about the last time you had a stranger smiles at you

how did it feel when I think about it

I had a day I was walking the street I was pretty down things

weren't going my way but then someone smiled at me

I felt it deep inside it lift me up think about how powerful a smile

can be maybe that's another reason to smile

lift someone else up think about it there're people

that are on the verge of sometimes even committing suicide

yes I'm serious but then when you give them a smile

you can lift them up you can give them a little bit of hope

yes hope that people care that's another reason to smile

maybe to see someone without a smile and

that's a good time to give them yours another reason

the more reasons the better because you remember

the more reasons the why will get stronger and when the

why gets stronger the how gets easier

it will be easier for us to smile it will become our habit

and then will feel better because sometimes many times

when we smile we just feel better which might be even

another reason maybe my personal reason I wanted to

share with you I can smile that's another reason

because I can because I can I will smile why not

many times it makes me feel good just makes me feel

when I don't feel good so that's another reason

when you don't feel good you can smile but be careful

it might work yes it might work

it might make you feel better you can try this one as well

and now I have an image in my mind yes

also gives me a reason to smile I think about my

nephew yeah he's smiling at me for the first time

think about a baby the last time a baby smiled

at you what a sweet image

another reason to smile just thinking about that image

in your mind so if you have more reasons why to smile

and spread that positivity in the world

and also within you by the way

I was just smiling yesterday because I accomplished something

maybe between you and yourself you were proud of yourself

you thought about whoa I did that and then you smile

you were proud of yourself let yourself be proud of yourself

and put a tag on it as a smile that's another reason

being proud of ourselves as a reason to smile

so if more reasons why to smile share them below so we

can all as a community and also as individuals

can get our why stronger and stronger because when the

why gets stronger the how gets easier in everything

that we do and if you want to if you want us to hunt for reasons

for the things that you wanna do share them below as well so we

can hunt for them in the next episode of the hunt

the place where we hunt for the reasons why we do

what we do see you in the next episode

Chip and Joanna Gaines on a Possible Return to TV: 'We Never Rule Anything Out' - Duration: 3:22.

Chip and Joanna Gaines broke Fixer Upper fans' hearts when they announced in September 2017 that the show's upcoming fifth season would be its last

That reality hit even harder when HGTV aired its final episode of the home makeover series the following April

And while there are plenty of other ways to get your Chip and Jo fix these days — including their magazine, The Magnolia Journal (published by Meredith, which is also the parent company of People), their Hearth & Hand line for Target, and soon, Joanna's new design book, Homebody: A Guide to Creating Spaces You Never Want to Leave, — a return to TV isn't out of the question for the Gaineses

"We never rule anything out," the couple tell PEOPLE in this week's issue.  RELATED: Chip and Joanna Gaines Don't Mind Waking Up at 2 a

m.: 'It's Fun in the Wee Hours'  "The show was amazing and we are so thankful for it, but it's also a whirlwind where, if you are not careful, it will flat run you over," says Chip, 43

"You can't believe how out of gas you are."  For the Gaineses, it wasn't until after they wrapped the series that they realized how much they had needed a break

That's who we are," Chip explains. In addition to their ever-expanding Magnolia Market at the Silos destination in Waco, Texas, they also have their home renovation business, a real estate company and myriad product lines and partnerships

For now, they're enjoying the freedom that comes with being out of the HGTV spotlight and are embracing the unexpected — like welcoming their fifth child, Crew, in June

"That's what I love about life. It's these surprises, and at first you sit there and go, 'How does that fit?'" says Joanna, 40

"And now that it's all happened I can't imagine life any other way. I've never been so happy

A Simple Change: 'You Said, We Did' - Duration: 0:52.

My top tips for making information accessible to young people

is to first of all, engage with young people,

but to engage with a diverse range of young people

that you have in your local area.

Don't just pick on one group

but pick on several groups that are representative.

Listen and learn from what they have to say.

Don't patronise it because actually

they are far more insightful than we give them credit for.

The third and last one is about transparency and closing the loop.

So, if you've gone to a group

and you've engaged with them, they've given you messages and you've gone off,

have the courtesy to go back

even if you haven't done anything with what they've said.

Go back and feedback to them why you haven't done it.

and what you plan to do.
