ANDY: WELL YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT THE MIDTERM ELECTIONS AND FOR PRESIDENTIAL IT IS CLOSER TO 50%.

AND I THINK WHAT WE'RE LOOKING AT NOW WITH THIS YEAR IS HOW CAN WE GET BACK TO THAT?

HOW CAN WE GET PEOPLE ENGAGED AROUND THE MIDTERM ELECTIONS, WHICH ARE WHEN POWER CHANGES?

WE KNOW HOW IMPORTANT MIDTERM ELECTIONS ARE.

SO A LOT OF OUR WORK HEADCOUNT AND OTHER GROUPS IS TO REALLY JUST KIND OF TRY TO MAKE MIDTERM ELECTIONS MORE OF A CULTURAL EVENT.

IT IS SEEN AS A POLITICAL PROCESS.

HOW DO WE MAKE IT A CULTURAL EVENT?

SOLEDAD: WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

ANDY: HOW DO WE GET PEOPLE TALKING?

HOW DO WE GET PEOPLE SEEING IT IS PERSONALLY RELEVANT TO THEM?

NOT PART OF THAT WORD POLITICS THAT PEOPLE VIEW KIND OF NEGATIVELY.

HOW DO WE MAKE IT A CONVERSATION ON SOCIAL MEDIA AT THE DINNER TABLE.

SOLEDAD: THE YOUNG PEOPLE THAT ARE RELATED TO ME HAVE A FINELY HONED SENSE OF JUSTICE AND I WOULD SAY THE YOUNG PEOPLE I WORK WITH HAVE A FINELY HONED SENSE OF SOCIAL JUSTICE.

HOW COME THAT DOESN'T TRANSLATE EASILY AND QUICKLY INTO SHOWING UP AT THE BALLOT BOX?

IVY: I THINK THAT YOUNG PEOPLE TODAY, A LOT OF US SEE SOCIAL JUSTICE, SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, AS SOMETHING THAT'S ALMOST LIKE RECREATIONAL.

IT'S LIKE WE WANT TO FEEL GOOD AND WE'RE DOING GOOD THINGS.

I THINK THAT THE ENERGY AROUND VOTING, THE ENERGY AROUND POLITICS FEELS LIKE VERY NEGATIVE, IT FEELS ALMOST LIKE -- I HAVE TO MAKE THIS DECISION, AND I ON THE RIGHT SIDE OR THE

WRONG SIDE?

IT IS LIKE A JUDGING OF OTHER PEOPLE'S VALUES AS OPPOSED TO, I BELIEVE IN THIS, THIS IS SOMETHING I SUPPORT PERSONALLY, AND I'D LIKE TO SEE IT IN OUR GOVERNMENT AS WELL.

SOLEDAD: SO LET'S TALK A LITTLE BIT ABOUT SOLUTIONS.

OBVIOUSLY YOU GUYS RESEARCH A LOT ON WHAT WORKS AND WHAT BREAKTHROUGH.

WHAT HAVE YOU FOUND?

ANDY: ONE INTERESTING THING IS HOW LITTLE REALLY GOOD RESEARCH THERE IS WHEN IT COMES TO MIDTERM ELECTIONS.

BUT WE DO KNOW WHAT SOME OF THE BARRIERS ARE.

AND THE BIGGEST BARRIER OFALL PEOPLE NOT VOTING IS PEOPL SAYING THEY JUST DON'T CARE.

50% OF PEOPLE WILL SAY THEY DON'T CARE.

YOU CAN'T MAKE SOMEBODY CARE, BUT YOU CAN TRY TO MAKE THE ELECTION FEEL MORE RELEVANT AND EXCITING.

SOLEDAD: HOW CAN PEOPLE SAY THEY DON'T CARE, BUT AT THE SAME TIME ANY THOUGHTFUL MILLENNIAL WILL TALK YOUR EAR OFF ABOUT, HOW ARE THEY GOING TO AFFORD A HOME, HOW ARE THEY GOING TO PAY OFF THEIR

STUDENT LOANS -- THESE ARE CHALLENGING QUESTIONS.

I'M ALWAYS SURPRISED THAT THE FLIPSIDE OF THAT IS, I DON'T CARE, BECAUSE IT SOUNDS LIKE THEY CARE A LOT.

IVY: I THINK THAT THERE'S A DISCONNECT BETWEEN THE IDEA OF POLITICS AND THEN LIKE YOUR DAY TO DAY LIFE.

A LOT OF PEOPLE, WHEN THEY THINK OF POLITICS, THEY THINK OF BIG ELECTIONS LIKE THE PRESIDENTIAL.

THEY'RE NOT THINKING ABOUT ALL OF THESE SMALLER ELECTIONS THAT WE HAVE YEAR ROUND ALL THE TIME THAT DECIDE THINGS ON A SUPER LOCAL LEVEL.

LIKE ALL OF THESE LOCAL ELECTIONS REALLY DICTATE THE RULES IN OUR LIVES.

IF YOU FEEL STRONGLY ABOUT YOU KNOW SOMETHING IN YOUR COMMUNITY OR SOMETHING THAT IMPACTS YOU AS A PERSON, THERE IS A WAY TO VOICE IT IN POLITICS.

I JUST THINK THAT PEOPLE DON'T NECESSARILY UNDERSTAND THAT.

SOLEDAD: IS THERE A TECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTION?

IS THERE A FASTER PATH, EASIER WAY, THAT WOULD INCREASE VOTING NUMBERS?

ANDY: OUR VOTING SYSTEMS ARE VERY ARCHAIC.

THEY ARE NOT UP TO THE TIMES.

THAT IS CERTAINLY ONE OF THE BARRIERS.

SOLEDAD: ARE YOU FEELING HOPEFUL THAT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO TURN PEOPLE OUT?

ANDY: WE ARE VERY HOPEFUL.

WE'VE TRIPLED THE NUMBER OF VOTERS WE REGISTERED COMPARED TO THE LAST MIDTERM ELECTIONS.

WE'VE SEEN MORE INTEREST IN EVERY ASPECT.

SO ANECDOTALLY THERE'S NO QUESTION THERE'S HUGE INTEREST IN THIS ELECTION BUT UNTIL ELECTION DAY WE REALLY DON'T KNOW AND ANYONE WHO SAYS THEY KNOW IS JUST GUESSING.

Obama Claims Republicans Will "Take Away" Voting Rights - Duration: 1:31.

While stumping for Democrat gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams in Atlanta on Friday

evening, former President Barack Obama slammed his predecessor on issues such as his stance

on immigration, suggesting Republicans want to "take away" voting rights.

During his speech, the former president repeatedly attempted to discredit President Trump's

comments regarding illegal immigration, which he said was a "political stunt" contrived

by Trump ahead of midterms.

Speaking to a predominately African American audience at Morehouse College, Obama implied

that Republicans attempt to "scare" voters using "boogeymen," which he said was in

an effort to "disenfranchise people," and to "take away their right to vote."

Obama's focus on the right to vote echoed sentiments previously espoused by Abrams,

who has repeatedly accused her Republican opponent, Brian Kemp, of voter suppression.

Abrams, in turn, has faced scrutiny for what opponents have described as a "flood"

of outside money, making this election the most highly financed race to become Georgia's

next governor in the state's history.

As of Saturday, polling indicated that Abrams and Kemp's race is close, with Abrams trailing

behind slightly.

The Democrat Party is in a bind.

A migrant caravan is marching towards America and voters are demanding answers on how to

stop it.

But the Democrats awful response to the caravan will leave you speechless.

Democrats Ignore The Caravan Democrats are ducking for cover over questions

about the caravan.

They don't want to deal with the thousands of migrants threatening to invade America.

That's because the midterm election is Tuesday and they can't afford to do anything that

would depress their voter turnout.

Large portions of the Democrat base supports open borders and believes any enforcement

measures are white supremacy.

That is a political loser.

So last month, Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi put out a joint statement begging Democrats

to ignore Donald Trump making immigration a big campaign issue.

Democrats Follow Schumer And Pelosi's Advice

Democrats worked hard to follow Schumer and Pelosi's advice and avoided talking about

the caravan.

The Daily Caller contacted 20 Democrat campaigns and only Elizabeth Warren's responded.

They sent a statement that read, "In regards to the caravan, we have laws for people who

come to the border seeking asylum, and Senator Warren believes that we should follow those

laws.

However, she also knows that we should never have been in this situation.

The real problem is Donald Trump's chaotic foreign policy and lack of a long-term strategy

in the region."

While Democrats run and hide on immigration, Donald Trump is making the caravan and the

threat of a migrant invasion the top issue in the closing days of the midterm election.

There is a good reason Democrats want nothing to do with the issue and Trump wants to make

it the focus of the campaign.

A Numbers USA poll found 65 percent of voters in swing districts want to keep the caravan

out of America.

That's why at a rally in Missouri, Trump declared, "If you don't want America to

be overrun by masses of illegal aliens and giant caravans, you better vote Republican."

The fake news media responded by claiming Trump was engaging in racism.

That's their go-to move.

Whenever Democrats are losing on an issue, the fake news media swoops in and declares

Republicans as being "racist."

Trump addressed this gutter tactic during a speech in Missouri.

"We have forcefully condemned hatred, bigotry, racism and prejudice in all of its ugly forms,

but the media doesn't want you to hear your story," the President stated.

"It's not my story.

It's your story.

And that's why 33 percent of the people in this country believe the fake news is,

in fact — and I hate to say this — in fact, the enemy of the people."

But every tactic the Democrats and the media are trying – either smearing Republicans

with the race card or trying to ignore the issue – is failing.

Polls show the Republicans are likely to keep their Senate majority and may even expand

it by two to three seats.

On with the show.

Kicking off at Number 5 - Uh-Oh The Clown.

And a case that dates back all the way to 1992 from Northwest Harris County, Texas.

It was a bleak, heart wrenching case that shook the state for it's brutal and unforgiving

nature - a barbaric act that seemingly came out of nowhere.

Rex Mays - also known as Uh-Oh the Clown, a relatively popular children's entertainer

that would don a Cowboy hat and clown garb, but in reality a 42 year old man - that, at

the time, had recently been fired from the latest in a string of failed jobs.

So when his neighbours children, 7 year old Kynara and 10 year old Kristin, were playing

music loudly next door - he went over to yell at them to turn it down.

In the end, though - he stabbed the both of them 18 times, including the eyes - in a brutal

and senseless murder.

Eventually, he would tell police that he was just having a bad day.

Well - amazingly, Mays would remain uncaught until 1994 - after a keen eyed detective befriended

him, building enough rapport in the hope that it would one day lead to a confession.

It did, and Mays was sentenced to the death penalty.

Next up at Number 4 - The Stockholm Stabbing

And this - in part, is purely a fallout of that disturbing time when the world went super

clown crazy - and it spread its way to the capital city of Sweden, Stockholm, where an

unidentified 21 year old man, who thought he was simply caught up in the fear of a well-staged

prank, was actually brutally assaulted by a masked, red nosed maniac.

He was minding his own business, walking through the streets of Stockholm in early evening

- when a clown approached him, tilted his head perversely, stabbed him directly in the

shoulder, and calmly walked away.

Imagine that, that's serious nightmare fuel, right?

Thankfully, the man survived after being rushed to hospital - but the mental scars remain.

It was also believed to be related to an earlier incident, when two masked clowns were circling

a terrified woman, laughing hysterically and telling her she'd be murdered.

It highlights what really happens when people slip away behind a mask - particularly the

mask of a killer clown, where people can hide away their true face and true intentions,

and act out their violent and disturbing nature.

Coming in at Number 3 - Wrinkles The Clown

Now, Florida has always been a bit of a hive for the weird and the unsettling, and this

particular story is no exception.

If I told you that back in 2015, a creepy masked clown simply known as Wrinkles started

cropping up in Naples, Florida, lingering on street corners, popping up at parties - and

materializing outside of children's bedroom windows.

Yes, you heard that correctly.

The reality of Wrinkles the Clown though, is perhaps a little bit more disturbing.

The only thing known about him, is that at the time he was a 65 year old retired Veteran

from Rhode Island - who took up the arduous task of scaring unruly children senseless,

after being paid off by their parents.

Yeah, Wrinkles the Clown made a living out of dressing up in a sunken-eyed clown mask,

a polka-dot onesie and black rubber gloves.

Oh - and of course - a bundle of colourful balloons.

He made a pretty successful living off of the fear he generated throughout Florida - even

being the subject of a Kickstarter documentary which sadly never came to fruition.

Still - his true identity remains unsolved, and Wrinkles the Clown can still be found

popping up at parties in Florida.

No thanks.

And swinging in at Number 2 - The Clown Kidnapper

And this one really is a terrifyingly disturbing story.

Back in 2002, a professional clown was accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a 12

year old girl while wearing his full stage-makeup, clown outfit and mask.

Jose Jimenez - who went by the stage name El Tin Larin, was a 41 year old California

based clown who made a living by performing at predominantly Latino children's parties.

After finishing a show - Jimenez grabbed the girl at a fast food stand just before midnight

in January 2002 after physically bundling her into his work van and taking her to an

abandoned car park.

After hours of continued horror, the girl eventually escaped from a motel.

However, police couldn't identify her attacker, as the only description that the young girl

gave was - a clown.

Eventually, he was arrested though - after DNA traced him to the horrific crime, it's

unknown as to how many more possible victims he had, as his clown performances at parties

went on for over nine years.

He remains in prison to this day.

And finally, at our Number 1 spot - The Wasco Clown Epidemic

And what a complete and utter horrorshow, right? - the culmination of all this fear

and every coulrophobics literal nightmare - The Wasco Clown Epidemic.

Now, I don't know about you - but for me, I never want the word Epidemic to follow the

word Clown.

Ever.

But - alas - it did, and still kinda does.

Back in 2014, a California based artist from Wasco - thought it'd be a great idea to

dress up as the creepiest clown possible, and publically pose in areas around the town,

while uploading all of their exploits to Instagram and Facebook.

Of course - this was just Patient Zero, because this seemingly innocent action became the

trigger for a biblical plague of horrific clowns.

Things got ugly, and copycats began popping up around the county in Bakersfield and Delano

- scary clowns wielding baseball bats, machetes - and in several instances - guns.

The damage was already done, though - the idea was out - even being replicated in Northampton,

England - as well as countless other areas across the United States and wider Europe.

It literally became the subject of a psychological study - in an attempt to understand the nature

of anonymity and the fear that drives mob mentality.

Alright.

What Will It Take For Republicans To Turn Against Trump? - Duration: 3:25.

Our last question today comes from @tracytweetstv who says, "So you think losing their social

security will be enough for the Trumpers to finally turn on him and the republican party?"

No, no I don't unfortunately.

I think it would make some republicans possibly switch parties, but we've seen this play out

before.

We had so many people in the United States last December when republicans passed their

big tax cut, so many of them thought it was going to trickle down.

They thought absolutely, yeah, cutting taxes for the wealthy, that sounds like a good idea

because if my boss has more money then obviously he's going to give it to me.

Greed isn't a think, right?

No, they realized oh crap, the same thing that happened in 2003 happened again, and

the same thing that happened in the 1980s happened in 2003 and it happened again in

2018.

Darn it, fooled me again but don't worry.

When they propose it again in 2024 totally going to work that time.

I promise you fourth time's the charm, right?

That's the mentality that a lot of these republicans have.

It's very sad, it's not very intelligent, but they're not going to change who they are.

They understand republicans have made it unequivocal that we're coming.

We're going to cut your social security.

We're going to cut your Medicare.

We're going to cut your Medicaid.

We're going to cut your SNAP assistance, food stamps.

We're going to cut money for education.

We're going to leave your kids with a subpar education that doesn't prepare them for life

because we've got to give all that money to millionaires and billionaires.

Do you know why republicans don't get mad about that?

There was a study many years ago, polls taken.

Almost 68% of republicans, actually 68% of Americans, most republicans though, they believe

that eventually in their lifetime, even if they're already over the age of 60, they're

going to make it into the top 1%.

68% of people in this country think that no matter low old they are they can be on death's

door, they still think they're going to make it into that top 1%.

They're going to be rich one day.

When they are all these cuts the republicans have made aren't going to matter other than

the tax cuts.

That's why they keep doing it.

We as Americans tend to hold on to these false beliefs that we're going to hit the lottery

next week.

Everybody earlier this week thought I'm going to be the one to win the mega millions.

I'm going to be the one to win the power ball.

It didn't pan our for 99.9999999% of us, probably even greater percentage than that.

We're not rich now, probably not ever going to be.

We don't have that billion dollar idea in the back of our heads like we think we might.

It's fun to have hope, but at the same time it can be dangerous.

In the case of people voting for the republican party because they think in the off chance

in the near future they're going to qualify for that tax break it's not only damaging

to that person but it's damaging to the entire country as well.
