how is everyone? let me know if the comment section

for the next bit I'm thinking of making a few vids under the theme of "Japan and me"

I often get asked - what made you come to Japan? Or why do you like Japan?

so I'll take some time in this video to explain the answer behind that

I started studying Japanese when I was 17 years old in first year uni

and I had this dream of becoming an international business man

to make that dream a reality I knew I had to learn another language

which led me to choose Japanese

but before making the decision I read a few articles and whatnot stating that Japan's English level was quite low

so I thought it'd be a good opportunity and enrolled in it as an option course for my degree

I had zero knowledge of Japan before starting to learn the language

I didn't know much about anime or that sort of culture

I simply wanted to support my dream of being an international biz man

also there weren't many Canadians who spoke Japanese

and so for those two reasons I started learning Japanese

since then though a lot has happened

but I gotta bounce to the bank now so I'll continue on in a bit

this is a different topic but opening a bank account as a foreigner in Japan is super tough

by law, foreigners who've just moved in to Japan don't have the ability to make or receive direct deposits for 6 months

it's a huge inconvenience especially if you have a job and if you want to get the $$$

so because I can't receive direct deposits I won't be able to get my salary from my job

but I'm going to go sort that out now with the bank

I'll update in a bit

after the bank I came to a park near city hall

in the end I was able to set up direct deposits (after showing proof of employment)

alright lets continue from where I left off

there we too many people at the park so I was a little to shy to film there by myself

so I came back to my room

okay so how did I actually come to like Japan?

as a result of learning Japanese I naturally met exchange students at my university

and started making friends with them

those friends showed me what Japanese culture was all about

so through that I understood little by little what kind of country Japan was

during my first year I studied Japanese for about 2 hours a day

and after a year had passed I knew in my heart I had to go to Japan and see it for myself

I wanted to know more about Japan and wanted more of a challenge

so I realized I had to be there

in the end I went for a year during my third year of uni (20 yrs old) to Nagoya

during the time I learned a bunch and also did a homestay

through that I learned a TON about Japan

Things like the heart Japanese culture, the true meaning of the language and humility

all of what I learned was enough to really come to love Japan and Japanese culture

after coming back from Japan I spent about 3-4 years in Canada

I knew in my heart I would be coming back to Japan

it ended up being after working for a year and a half in a company

but all the time I was there I knew I would end up here anyways

to sum it up, the choice to learn Japanese was the reason I grew to eventually like Japan (simple I know)

the choice led to where I am today

I still plan on learning more about the culture, the language etc. until I'm a MASTER

it's like a never-ending quest to deepen the relationship I have with this country

time for work - when I'm back I'll continue the talk

I'm ready!

back from work now and I'm too tired so I'll pick it up tomorrow

alright I had a good sleep and had some oatmeal so I'm good to go

but it's a little boring being here all the time so lets head to the roof

to cap it off I want to talk about how some other people may have come to like Japan

as expected, anime, manga, and that sort of thing is a big reason for a lot of people

but after that I think everyone has their own unique reason

it's an interesting thing - coming to like another culture and taking your own path to discover what it's all about

the whole experience is very personal and unique!

that in itself is super deep

I want to know more about how people get interested in foreign cultures/English

Yesterday, I left home in England at midnight

I took a bus, all the way to a coach station

Then I arrived in Napoli

'King of Instagram' Dan Bilzerian to make cameo in SHOCK film

DAN Bilzerian has been spotted filming for a surprise cameo appearance in a blockbuster film.

The so-called King of Instagram was caught posing for a photo with a famous actor, as it was revealed he had taken part in filming for a forthcoming box office smash hit.

Indian actor Nitin posted a snap on his Twitter thanking Bilzerian for his help in filming for new movie LIE: Love, Intelligence, Enmity.

The film is billed as a romantic action thriller and looks set to be one of the biggest Bollywood movies of the year.

Nitins tweet read: Thanks @DanBilzerian for being such a sport n for being part of our film.u r a total natural!! Nitin is one of Indias biggest film stars and his new film is expected to draw in enormous crowds in both India and the US.

Bilzerian himself is no stranger to the spotlight, however.

He has previously made cameos in Lone Survivor, starring Mark Wahlberg, and War Dogs alongside Bradley Cooper and Jonah Hill, but is best known for his escapades on social media.

Bilzerian has caused a storm of controversy with his provocative Instagram posts. Most recently he celebrated National Womens day with a post showing his raunchy hot tub romp with several scantily-clad women.

Before that he drew criticism for a snap he uploaded showing one of his groupies mounting an endangered giant tortoise. But Bilzerian announced he would be reining in the party-boy lifestyle and searching for a new direction.
