The Dark Side of the Soul. Episode 2. Russian TV Series. Detective. English Subtitles. StarMediaEN - Duration: 45:34.

I need the knife now. My assistant will come for it.

I got you. I'm waiting.

Star Media presents

Alexei Sekirin

Mum! I want to talk to you! Mothers like you should be killed!

He cheated on us! It's a fake!

in a movie "The Dark Side of the Soul"

I'm very sorry. I haven't ridden a bike for long and it got out of control.

I noticed it. Please me more careful next time.

All right. I will.

Sergey Koscheyev and Olga Zhabina

Directed by Vyacheslav Lavrov

Look, what has happened?

It's all because of the son. Because of the son...

Pack your things. You'll go with me.

Where to?

I am detaining your brother on suspicions of a murder.

We may carry out a parallel investigation.

Have you found him?

Yes. I'm following him into the country.

Produced by Daria Lavrova

General Producer - Vlad Ryashin

They outstripped me, Serezha. A few hours ago, Troitskiy's brother

came to the morgue. He paid for all the services, ordered a coffin,

took all his personal belongings with him and left.

Wait, wait! I read Troitskiy's personal file. He didn't have any brothers.

He only had an old aunt, but she lives in Krasnoyarsk.

Did you check the notes at the morgue?

I did, Serezha. The notes are ridiculous. No passport data.

It's good that they asked his surname. His surname is Kruzmark.

‒ That's not much! ‒ I have a description of that "relative".

He is about 175 cm tall, thin, dark-haired, dark-eyed, with tattoos

on the fingers of his right hand. We must find him, Serezha.

Kruzmark. Kruzmark…

I took Troitskiy's things from the morgue.

I'll try to find out where he was going.

Find it out, and be quick. I need to have that knife by the end of the week.

You'll have it.

I guessed it right. "Kruzmark" is a nickname. His real surname is Uskov.

He is a serious guy. He was in prison twice

and he started his career in the Solntsevo gang. In 1998, he was imprisoned

for a theft of the paintings. Now he is doing dirty work for an Artemyev.

Let me guess.

That Artemyev is somehow connected to the black antiques market.

It must be a criminal business. They are trading antiques.

They haven't been caught red-handed.

However, the police have a thick file on them.

According to the navigator, this is the place where Troitskiy was going.

Right. What a picturesque ruin! Let's go and check it out.

- Let's go. - Come on.

This is a former manor house. Nika told me that in the beginning of the 90-ies

a local gang leader bought it and wanted to restore it.

Why didn't he do it?

He didn't have time. He was shot.

Then there was an idea to make a boarding house here,

but it didn't happen as well.

It means it was not to be. It's a pity. It's a beautiful place.

By the way, the locals consider it unlucky.

Why?

The last owner of the manor hung himself in his attic.

Wait. You told that he was shot.

I mean the real owner, the man who owned it before the revolution.

In the Soviet days, bodies of trumps were found here regularly.

Then some sect members occupied this place.

I wonder what Troitskiy wanted here.

Serezha, when I last saw him he was very quiet.

Makar, it was a rhetorical question.

This is the Tiraspol burial mound, one of the most famous.

‒ It's beautiful… like in a novel. ‒ Yes.

And somebody is living practically on the grave!

Yes. However, we're living practically on the grave too!

We are, aren't we?

We are. The manor of Uspenskiy-Lyalin was built on it.

Do you mean the ruins by the village?

Yes. In the ancient times, the Scythian tribes roamed there.

Modern sun-worshippers believe this mound to be a place of force.

In the 19th century, secret rituals with human sacrifices took place there.

How awful!

The last member of the Uspenskiy-Lyalins' kin was interested in occult sciences.

After he had committed suicide

people found out that dark rituals often took place in his manor.

There was a loud criminal case. I found old newspapers for those years.

A few issues are dedicated to the case of the blood-letters.

You're telling such interesting things, but I got scared for a moment.

You're scared, aren't you? ‒ I am.

‒ That's good. ‒ Why?

I'm writing a novel. A thriller. Thrillers should be scary.

What is your book about?

It's about an ancient pagan mound.

A couple of terrible murders that resembled ritual sacrifices

take place near it.

Here it is.

It's a description of how ancient priests used to do it.

Will there be something about love in your novel?

It will. A novel is impossible without love.

‒ I'm listening. ‒ Sveta, I'm returning from negotiations.

I'll be passing the office. Let me drop in. We could drink some coffee.

I'm not at the office.

When will you come? Let's meet after work.

We could have dinner. I'll give you a lift home later.

If you don't want to meet today, let's meet on Friday.

Did they forget to tell you at the interview that our company

doesn't approve of office romances? I don't want to start

from the very beginning. We separated, and it was a right decision.

Look, I never considered that decision right.

OK, you made such a decision. However, ten years passed.

Many things changed. Let's start from the beginning!

I don't want to start anything from the beginning, Stas! You're right.

Many things changed in the course of ten years.

The life is different. I'm different!

Please don't call me anymore.

‒ Was it Stas? ‒ It doesn't matter.

Sveta, he still loves you.

You weren't interested in that ten years ago.

You and your crazy friend Ladynina. You made a decision instead of us.

You did everything to help our relations with Stas fail.

Sveta, I want you to be happy. I've always wanted it!

It means that your idea of happiness is perverted.

‒ No tears, please. ‒ All right.

You want me to turn a new leaf, don't you?

I'm trying!

Sveta, if you want to know my opinion…

I'm being late for work. I need to go to the tax office.

With a bag?

I signed up for a gym. I'll go there after work.

You know, in our times a girl shall be in good shape to turn a new leaf.

I can't help but wonder… Why did Troitskiy come here?

Maybe he was a sun-worshipper.

However, there is no one here except for us and the rats.

I think somebody has been here. Look.

‒ If anybody was here, it was Ivanenko. ‒ Who is he?

A legendary local trump. Nika told me that Ivanenko's mother

owned a house in this village. Ivanenko sold it ages ago

and wasted all the money on drinks. He became a trump.

A man in a cap! We saw him by the shop.

Yes. That's him. Nika's neighbor Ermakov let Ivanenko sleep

in his shed when it's cold. Otherwise, Ivanenko spends nights here and there.

He likes this place too.

I don't think that Troitskiy came here to meet with Ivanenko.

He didn't come here to meet Ivanenko for Troitskiy was murdered on Thursday.

And on Thursday Ivanenko was doing some work for Ermakov.

He spent the night at his place.

Look…

‒ Let's visit Ermakov. ‒ What for?

We shall check something out. Come on!

Let's go.

One moment! Wait!

Come on! Come on!

Here we go! Come on!

Come on! Hand it over here!

This is it!

We're done!

Lyda!

Lyda! Lyda!

Lyda! Lydochka!

Why did you leave without a permission?

Let's go. Be careful.

Will you have some?

‒ Do you feel better? ‒ I do.

‒ I wanted to talk to you. ‒ Why not talk?

Do you know everybody here?

Of course, I do! I've lived all my life here!

Whom shall we talk about?

I'm interested in antiques. People say

that the villagers have things from Uspenskiy's manor.

The one that had been ruined.

The antiques? I know one crazy man.

He is not a local, though. He has loads of old stuff.

Paintings, books and weapons.

I want to talk to that crazy man. Will you arrange our meeting?

I will.

Faster, faster, faster! Come on, Kostenka, please be quick. Run, run, honey!

Be quiet, be quiet! Kostya, wait. Honey, be quiet!

Be quiet, be quiet. It'll all end soon.

One moment.

Let's go. Come on, come on…

Stop! Where are you going?

Well… The investigator's clue? What is it?

‒ I don't know. ‒ I see.

Look who has come!

Hello. We'd like to talk to Rodion.

Rodion is out. Come in and want for him! Do you want some tea?

‒ With pleasure! ‒ Good. The cups…

‒ Sergey. ‒ Vitya.

‒ Makar. ‒ Vitya.

Sit down, sit down!

The tea…

Why are you interested in him? Did he do something bad?

No. Not yet. We just wanted to clarify a few details.

‒ Some sugar? ‒ No, thanks.

To tell you the truth, we regret letting him a room.

‒ We should drive him away. ‒ How may you drive him away?

He paid a week ago for three months.

By the way, we bought a greenhouse for that money!

We may give him the money back. I don't like him.

He is wandering about the village with binoculars watching everybody.

He has a load of books about maniacs in his room and a scull too.

What do you know? Rodion is an author.

He is writing about some Scythian priests.

He is gathering materials here. He wouldn't hurt a fly, and you…

He is wandering around with binoculars, isn't he?

Yes, he is. He examines the ruins. I saw him there.

I see. I'll go out for a moment. Where is the…

‒ The toilet is to the left. ‒ Thanks.

You're suspecting a wrong person.

Tell me, is Rodion…

Lypa! Go to the cellar. We're out of jam.

If you don't have any more questions, I'll go.

The household demands attention.

Who are you?

Makar?

Serega! Hold him! Serega!

Stop! Are you out of your mind?

Are you all right?

He hit me hard! I hope you remembered the plate number!

Yes. That guy won't escape us.

It must be our Kruzmark who outran me at the morgue.

I think he was looking for a knife in Rodion's room.

‒ How are you? ‒ Fine. I'll live.

We must be the first to find Rodion.

The stairs in this house are so steep!

I don't understand what I'm paying you for!

Anyone may come in and take a child from the bedroom!

I was helping the driver unload the food.

I have no idea how she managed to get in.

By bad luck, Nicolayevitch went out for a lunch break.

From this day on, you have no lunch breaks! Good afternoon.

This is the director of the correctional care home number 76.

We have an emergency.

Do you think the Ermakovs will inform us when Rodion comes back?

‒ Hold this. ‒ Thanks.

Be careful. It's cold.

You see, Ermakov is mad at Rodion. He won't be shielding him.

Are you all right?

I am. On the other hand… do you know what I think?

I doubt that Rodion will return. If he is not a fool, he took the knife

‒ and ran far away from here. ‒ Do you think he has the knife?

I'm 100% sure, Serezha. He was obsessed with that knife.

His room is full of books about the Scythian gold and mounds.

Look at what I've found!

Wow! Did you tell the investigator about it?

I did. He didn't want to listen to me at first.

Thanks God, he changed his mind later.

It means it's not a hopeless case.

Yes. He promised to come to check everything out.

Maybe he will even hit upon announcing Rodion wanted.

I wanted to ask you… Why do you think that Rodion was

at exactly that place by the ruins?

Look what I've found.

Only Rodion Krasilnikov chews toothpicks like this.

I see. Neurotic obsessive behavior. Maybe he got a bit out of his mind

in the course of his writing.

Maybe. He could have read too much

special literature and imagined himself not Rodion but a Scythian priest.

And started to make sacrifices!

We shall work on serious versions. First, we shall find out

where Rodion is and how he is connected with Ladynina.

Hello? Hello, Sveta?

What police? Yes, Svetlana Tsaryova is my daughter

but she is not home at the moment.

What do you mean - "she is detained"? Why?

One moment! I'm on my way!

Ladynina could have been murdered because of the knife.

Her son could find out about the knife, calculate its price,

kill the old woman and ask Rodion to keep the knife for him.

Tischenko, keep your conclusions to yourself!

Ladynina's son could have simply taken the knife if he knew where it was.

He didn't need to kill her for that.

Maybe she caught him when he was stealing the knife.

We'll sort it out.

The main thing is that the knife is the possible murder weapon.

Mr. Krasilnikov is likely to have it. If we find Krasilnikov,

we'll find the knife, the murder weapon. Then we'll find out

who caught whom and where. Announce him wanted.

Krasilnikov Rodion Petrovitch, born 1983. Hold this.

What about giving evidence?

Don't go anywhere, Makar Andreyevitch. We'll still need you.

Shall I pledge not to leave the jurisdiction pending case?

You shouldn't pledge it. I have no grounds to make you sign such a pledge.

I am just asking you not to leave.

I was told that you came here for a vacation.

‒ Yes. What a vacation! Are we done? ‒ We are.

Sign my pass. I'll go and have some sleep.

Makar Andreyevitch? Thank you.

I felt that we'd get into trouble because of that guy!

I didn't want to let him the room. Lypa insisted on letting him stay.

He stayed! Now my house is full of the police

that turn everything upside down. They've just left.

The women are always to blame, Fedya.

Did the police come because of the old Ladynina?

No, they came because of the Queen of England!

Then I shall go to the investigator, Kuzmitch.

Go, Fedya, go! Do go! The investigator will detain you for 15 days.

You'll sit in a cell and sober up.

It'll do you good for you're talking nonsense. Go!

You're slandering me. You're underappreciating me. You're being rude.

However, I see a lot and hear a lot, and I may tell a lot.

What are you saying? What may you tell them about?

How do you know who killed the old lady?

Maybe I'll be awarded with a government award!

What for?

What do you mean - "what for"? I'll justify an innocent person, Mitya,

and save him from prison. I have proofs!

What proofs?

We're there.

Sveta, I talked the director into withdrawing her statement

and refusing to instigate a case. You're his mother, so it wasn't a kidnapping.

Sveta, how could you? It is a crime, after all! Sveta!

Do you hear me? Do you understand what I'm talking about?

Mum, I've very tired. Let's go home.

‒ Makar! Good evening. ‒ Hello.

‒ I've been waiting for you. ‒ What for?

Nika said that you went to the investigator.

I wanted to know how the investigating was going.

Shall we go inside? I may treat you to tea, and you'll tell me everything.

Let's go.

Mr. Troitskiy is dead. There are all grounds to suppose

that his murder is somehow connected with the Scythian knife.

Do you believe that Mitya didn't commit the murder?

Masha, please understand. We don't have any proofs.

I am asking about you. Do you personally believe in that?

My task is to carry out an investigation. What I need is not faith

but facts and logics. Tell me… do you know an Uskov?

No.

What about Kruzmark?

‒ Why are you laughing? ‒ Of course I do!

I graduated from the Art Institute, after all! Kruzmark was a genius restorer.

He lived in the 19th century.

‒ He lived… yes. ‒ Yes.

I don't care for a 19th century restorer.

Kruzmark is a name, a nickname or a surname of a person

who is somehow connected with your mother's murder.

What has happened?

Do you hear?

There is somebody there.

Masha, it's just a hallucination. There is no one there.

Makar, it's the murderer! Please don't leave me here alone! I beg you!

Calm down! Do you want me to go up and check it out?

No, no, he may… He may hurt you!

‒ Don't worry. I'll be fine. ‒ All right. Just be careful, please.

Nika, do you agree? Did you think my offer over?

I think it is silly to propose three months after the first meeting.

‒ It takes so long to count minutes! ‒ Are you counting minutes?

I'm counting seconds!

Something is wrong with Sveta! She locked up in the bathroom

and doesn't open the door!

I'm afraid she might hurt herself!

‒ Oh, Lord! ‒ Let's go.

You may calm down. There is no one in the house.

We are alone. You may go to bed.

I won't be able to sleep.

You shall sleep, Masha. You know that.

I don't feel safe here, in my own house anymore.

I may stay here with you.

I mean I may stay here to make you feel safer.

Will you really stay with me?

Sure. I may sleep on the sofa.

‒ I'll give you a blanket. ‒ Thanks.

‒ Good night. ‒ Good night.

How long did she spend in the bathroom?

Almost two hours. It's my fault. I'm to blame. It's my fault!

Why didn't you call us earlier?

‒ Sveta, are you all right? ‒ She doesn't answer.

Step aside.

Oh, Serezha!

Calm down.

‒ I'm sorry. I woke you up. ‒ It's all right. I wasn't sleeping.

It just seemed to me that… It was nothing but a window, though.

Why are you whispering?

I don't know. I think it's because I'm scared.

How is she?

She lost much blood. Let's hope she'll be fine.

Alexandra Sergeyevna, is the local ambulance always so slow?

We have been waiting for an hour. Call them once more, or let me do it.

Please… we can't call the ambulance.

What?

We can't call the ambulance to Sveta.

You didn't make a call, did you?

I don't understand anything.

Sveta?

Why didn't you simply let me die? Go away. I don't want to see you.

You know, it seems to me that I never loved my mother.

Nobody loved her. Maybe that's the reason why she was so mean.

Because of lack of love.

Look, it's not your fault that she left you. It was her choice.

She wanted to do what was best. All her fiances and boyfriends…

Mitya and I were a burden to her. One can't have much fun with two kids.

Calm down, Masha. What had happened ‒ happened.

Nothing may be changed.

Look, what did they found? The police? Any evidence?

Do you mean clues?

Yes, clues. Do they have anything serious?

Have they found the knife?

I think Rodion has it.

Alexandra Sergeyevna, are you unwell? Shall we call the ambulance?

No, Serezha. Don't worry. I'm fine. I have arrhythmia,

but I've had it since youth, so I don't even notice it.

You said that your daughter had tried to commit a suicide before.

Yes. You see, if an ambulance comes, the doctor will have

to call a psychiatrist. Svera will be sent to a mental clinic.

Sveta can't go there for she had already been there…

after the first suicide attempt. No, you…

She is absolutely healthy.

However, there is a child, and with such a child,

a nervous breakdown is quite possible…

What child are you talking about?

My grandson is disabled. He suffers from a severe form of autism.

"Do you know what it means? He may shout; "

he may bang his head against the wall. You never understand what he wants.

He'll never hug you, he'll never kiss you.

Do you know what it is like?

It must be hard.

Yes. Very hard. Sveta is coping with it on her own.

She works and earns for the child.

Who is the child's father?

The father of my grandson is a bastard.

He left Sveta when she was pregnant.

Sveta decided to keep the baby and give birth.

If only we had known…

Calm down. Calm down.

You know, they say there is a clinic in Israel.

We could send the boy there for rehabilitation.

However, we don't have such money. We simply don't…

Calm down! Where is your grandson now?

How is she?

Sveta is sleeping. She is better. She really is.

You know, I insist on calling the ambulance. It's not a joke.

Anything might happen. The wounds could get infected.

You must understand that she needs medical help.

Do you think Sveta will be all right? I worry for her.

I don't know. I didn't understand where her child is now.

‒ Hi. Wow! ‒ Hi.

Good morning.

Did you spend the night in an ambush?

Masha just felt unsafe. She asked me to stay there.

‒ Did you calm her down? ‒ Serezha!

Where are you going? The fried eggs are getting cold! Makar!

Look, what is Masha like?

She is a good and kind girl. She is fun and sympathetic.

She graduated from the Art Institute and worked as a restorer for a long time.

She adores her brother Mitya. Here you go. Why are you asking?

Are you suspecting her?

‒ Not yet. ‒ Serezha!

However, I do worry about Makar.

Why worry for him? He is an adult healthy male.

He has a right to some private life.

He has a right. However, he didn't have any private life after Nadya.

Did she hurt him that much?

Makar loved her, and she used him to save her lover.

How terrible!

If the story repeats itself with Masha…

Stop it! I've known Masha since my childhood. We grew up together.

She is a good, kind and sympathetic person.

Her mum used to be crazy. But Masha is not like her.

I got you.

She has been shouldering the burden of the family all her life!

Serezha, stop it! It is simply impossible! You are accusing a person

‒ you don't know at all! ‒ That's enough. Why are you shouting?

‒ Makar may hear you. Calm down. ‒ I'm not shouting.

I got you. Masha is good.

One can't behave like that! It really irritates me!

You see a criminal in everybody! An enemy!

Calm down! I got you. Masha is good!

Hello? This is not Sveta. Stas, this is Alexandra Sergeyevna,

if you still remember me.

Can you come to us? Sveta needs your help.

No, it's not a phone conversation.

All right. Thanks. Do come! Thanks!

I ask you one more time. What did you come for?

‒ We've discussed everything! ‒ I wanted to see you.

I came to the office and they said that you were sick. I came to visit you.

You did, didn't you? You may go away now!

Sveta, stop it! Stas, why aren't you drinking tea?

Mum, let him go!

Sorry. Sveta, you can't act like this. Why are you behaving so?

‒ Leave me alone, all of you! ‒ Sveta, it's impolite!

One minute; let me help you. There is this boy from the next door.

Sometimes he comes to us and…

Mum, enough lying! Stas, these are my son's drawings!

Do you have a son?

Yes. I have a son. His name is Kostya. He is disabled.

That's why I don't want to restore our relations.

I don't need any relations now. I don't need that at all!

Sveta, were you driving me away because of that? Are you serious?

What's wrong with your hands? Show them to me.

Go away!

What a night! It was terrible! If we were just half an hour late,

‒ we'd have to order one more coffin. ‒ Yes.

That Sveta is weird. She looks normal, not like a psychopath.

Serezha, a standard of normality is different in this village.

Neither of the villagers may boast perfect sanity.

Think of the Ermakovs and their tenant Rodion.

They all have skeletons in their wardrobes.

Masha is the luckiest. She is crystal clear for you, isn't she?

Wait. Shall I suspect her of anything?

It's like a classic detective story.

A criminal is always a person whom you suspect least of all.

What are you hinting at?

What do you mean? You told me that Masha was a restorer.

Well…

The knife could belong to her.

Do you know what I think? A restorer of icons and a restorer of jewelry

are different professions!

Osya! Ostin!

You should have put him on a leash. Ostin!

Ostin! Osya! Osya!

What?

A body. Well…

What a clean job!

It's a characteristic wound. There is almost no blood.

I think he was stabbed right into his heart,

between the fifth and the sixth ribs.

Why are you so sure?

I've seen such wounds a couple of times before.

A direct stab between the fifth and the sixth ribs?

That's how people get killed in prisons, if I'm not mistaken.

It's a clean and quiet way. They usually do it with self-made knifes.

Take him away.

"The wound was inflicted with a double-edged blade 54-55 mm wide

with a direct stab between the fifth and the sixth ribs.

Microscopic particles of gold are present in the wound".

It is the same weapon Ladynina was killed with!

Last time we didn't advance to the finals. This time I'm really happy we're here!

So my feeling was... YES!

Basically we prepare a strategy for every team we meet. But also when we see the tank line-up of the other team, we change tactics during the match itself.

We have prepared a lot of new tactics for these APAC Finals

Team Efficiency are going to be very surprised. They won't be able to counter our tactics, and we will use that flow to win.

We want to face EL Gaming and win against them!

But actually I want to face EL Gaming because we have never won against them. This is our chance to win against them in the finals!

Because of all our tie breakers, Team Efficiency is probably our biggest rival.

Against Team Efficiency, last season we had a lot of great matches. This season we had a lot of tiebreakers, so yes, Team Efficiency is probably our #1 rival.

We are going to win 7-0 in the semi-finals!

Hey TE, today we will win 7-0, promise!

Team Efficiency at the WGL APAC Season II Finals - Duration: 2:07.

It feels great being back. Especially directly qualifiying this time; not having to go through any playoffs.

Definitely made it a bit easier, gave us a bit more time to prepare - and to be honest with you, relax as well! Not having to stress too much - that was nice.

Since last season, Team Efficiency has had quite a few player swaps, we've got a couple of new players, moved a few old players out

We've started training a lot more since last season, and the results of that is we've placed second this season overall

We're super excited to go to a new city and also be playing at the finals!

We're really good friends with Caren Tiger, and I'd almost say they're probably our main rivals, mostly because of the friendship our players share

Caren Tiger, we find are really good at countering what we do. So we have almost as much respect for CT as we do for Elong

Every single time we've faced Caren Tiger, it's gone to a tiebreaker.

They want revenge; they missed out on an overseas trip last season

Yupa always promises 5-0's. There's always focus fire calls "There's Yupa, get him!"

We never sacrifice the map for it, but when you see Yupa, you shoot Yupa

This time around we've had a 2-3 week break, so we've been able to make some changes to how we play the game, and hopefully CT doesn't read us as well as they normally do

But if we get past CT and get into the Grand Final against Elong, we're still the underdogs, but what's changed from this time to last season, last season we were like

"We're gonna do our best against Elong" This time we're going in with "We're gonna beat them"

And when we did beat them the first time, that's when we kinda went "OK", we can do it again

We've done it. We beat EL, this is the first time they've been defeated in like 2 or 3 years.

Like, as a full loss, in a season, they just haven't suffered that. And we did it, we were just going nuts

ELong is still the best team in the league. But are we scared of them? Nah not at all. We can take them any day of the week.

Preston Visits Beck At His Home | Season 1 Ep. 6 | SHOTS FIRED - Duration: 1:33.

I had nothing to do with the suspension.

All I ever wanted, all I want is the truth.

Well, the truth is, you wouldn't

be here if I shot a black kid.

No one would.

I mean a black man killing another black man

isn't sexy enough.

What about your conscience?

I mean would it tell you anything different if the kid

was a different color?

Oh, they took my conscious a long time ago.

Then take it back.

Tell me about Joey.

The tours.

Who was out that night, Durkin?

Arlan?

Breeland?

Who shot Joey?

Look, maybe you forgot what color you are.

But I'm reminded every day.

I mean, my uniform doesn't protect me the same way

that it does them white boys.

Flabby Arms and Bat Wings? How to Hide Them with Style! - Duration: 7:38.

Join us today for fashion tips over 50

how do we make our arms not look flabby?

and we're back for another segment with

Scarlett of Bease, Scarlett thanks for

saying over! we are right at the cusp of

you know starting to change our wardrobe

for summer and it gets a little scary

this time of year do we wear that

sleeveless look or not, what advice do

you have for us in that regard?

okay so this is a big deal because I

would say 9 out of 1 women I work with do

not like their arms they don't want to

show their arms they don't want to wave

hello or goodbye to anybody as I made a

joke with you at one point, that some women

would rather go topless and show their arms

they really hate their arms, you know

because your breasts stay they stay they

keep better than your arms yeah the arms

go pretty fast, unless we're like really

really into the gym stuff you know and

then have Michelle Obama's arms we're

not you know it's a tough call and I

have to say this time of year is rough

but even in the winter now they they

sell a lot of sleeveless shirts yeah in the

winter, there's no longer this time period

where it okay once it gets warm get

to go sleeveless it's hard to find

sleeves any time of year

terrible it's really bad so the thing is

that you want to find sheer things that

you can wear for one thing, so if you go

to wear like a tank, like you have on like

a tank kind of style yeah I was hesitant

to to wear it or not especially

when you're here,

your arms are good but you might

not like showing your arms because I mean

there are women who have great arms and they don't want to

want to show because they they think

that they look bad and they really don't

but, it's difficult, it's about perception

yeah and how that makes you feel right

that's that's all that really matters, is how

you feel so like I threw this on this

little shear you can see through it

kind of top, it's very pretty,

but it's just enough to you know cover

my upper

arms so that I feel better about my

arms the other thing is that I want to

stay avoid t-shirt type of sleeves Oh

really, they stop at the widest

part and make your arms look wider

you maybe happy that something is

contained you're actually going to look

bigger you know, that's a big thing

also be careful

that you're not wearing bras that are too

tight because then things are going to

start billowing over and that's going to make

your upper part look a little yeah meaty

and also think about the cold ...

what's it called the cold shoulder now is a

really really big style, is that the one

that's where they have the peekaboo

shoulder yeah so when you have a cold

shoulder you're covered up here and then

you're covered right on that fleshy part

and then that meaty part up here which

is more muscular it looks great okay can

be good you have to try it at any age

can wear this now and as you can also do

like scarves you know sheer sheer scarves for

the warmer weather and you can drape

that over your shoulders too, you know its

kind of funny we were at a black-tie

wedding in Florida last year and my

husband leaned over to me and said look at

all the ladies wearing shawls over their

shoulders like he had he was clueless why

so many women had like these

pretty shawls ... and the other thing is

that you want to again I am as I said

earlier about you know taking the eyes

way to the butt you want to take your

eyes away from the shoulders then do

something around your face whether it's

great earrings or necklace you know

bring bring the attention up here and

then you won't be worried about this and

I also want to say that women have to

like make a movement and I and I really

urge this when you go into a store and

your shopping and you're struggling to

find tops that you know cover up the arms

talk to the store manager, talk to the buyer

whoever you can get a hold of and say

would you I need more that covers up

my arms because it's really

we don't speak up we're not going to

get it, no I mean I really want them to

speak up you know about this, it's a really

a big problem, who get's a thumbs up

from you for in terms of a manufacturer

about you know more catering to more of

maybe our vintage but in a very you know

in a good way

well I'm a big fan of a line called Nic

and Zoe's at Nick and Zoe's okay Nic

N I C and then Zoe ... she named it

after her children and she's from

Boston actually and she created a line

of clothes that I have, every

one of my clients I think for her

because what her designs do is they

actually are the patterns are done such

a way that it can create some waistline

I love her stuff she should only know

how much I love her stuff, and so I'm

actually the top I have on now is

now that you mention it, is a Nic and Zoe top

and I'm not going to stand up because

I don't really want to, but the patterns are all very

very very perfect, I think it's

really important so when you are in the store

say, hey come on what the heck is

going on here

you know I need something for my arms

they're gonna listen to you because they

want you to buy, they don't want you to

walk out, you know, tell them Scarlett sent me to

talk to you I have her styling system

here I'll change my number, you have more

about arms and you know on your

online system so tell us about that

again? so I created a course of 12 videos that

you can watch on demand on your own pick

what you want it could be about colors

how to make, your how to get rid

of the muffin top your waist line on what

underwear to wear what shoes to wear how

to make your body how to dress

now after you had a baby even

though the baby might already be in

college, so okay that's more to our

audience, it's really not just for people who just had

a baby

it's actually titled if your baby is

driving, and what to do about accessories

accessories are an incredible way to

bring life and personality and

creativity to your wardrobe

it doesn't cost a fortune to get

something at Target for instance and

just add a little color and what to do to make

your own eyes be able to see what works

for you and what doesn't work for you

well in our next segment we are going to

you know come back and talk about color

which you just brought up and be sure you

do check out Scarlett's system

because she is just as funny there

she is here your pleasure to watch she

had me cracking up so check it out and,

I'm a little little quirky okay, Scarlett

thank you for the tips about our arms

and we'll see you on the next segment

talking about color, see you in the sec!

Hope you enjoyed our segment with

Scarlett today. If you missed any of our

The Dark Side of the Soul. Episode 4. Russian TV Series. Detective. English Subtitles. StarMediaEN - Duration: 45:05.

Sveta signed a renunciation of her maternal rights.

She doesn't have any rights to the boy now.

Stop, or I'll shoot!

Come on, Lypa! Move it!

You gave me your word that you wouldn't do it anymore! What a bastard!

We may suppose that Ermakov killed Ivanenko and hid the traces.

And that the police failed to find them. Why would he do that, though?

He gave up his criminal ways.

Serezha! It's the same as with drunks. They can't just give up.

Directed by Vyacheslav Lavrov

I'm sick and tired of them!

Calm down, calm down! Let's just talk!

Art Director - Svetlana Smirnova

Did you mean this scarf? I brought two scarfs from China.

For mum and for myself. Mum didn't like the scarf

and gave it away to somebody as a present.

Yes. Yes, Kalinin. We sent it there in the afternoon.

What? What do you mean? All right.

‒ What happened? ‒ The expert called.

What does he say?

No one was killed with that knife. It's a fake.

The blood on the blade is paint.

The agreement is valid. I have it. Let's meet tomorrow.

I did everything as it should be done. I packed it, tagged it,

and added a statement.

Who was in the office when you were preparing the knife for the expertise?

Nobody. Before that the victim came ‒ Ladynina's daughter.

She wanted to read the case materials. When she saw the knife,

she almost fainted. I brought her some water. She drank it and left at once.

Tischenko, are you in your sound mind?

I want to see a signed protocol on my table in half an hour!

Yes, sir.

Maybe I shall detain you too.

I don't get you. On what grounds?

On the grounds of involvement in the stealing of a piece of material evidence.

You made up a non‒existent address of Krasilnikov,

lured me out of the department and let your accomplice steal the knife.

My accomplice didn't tell me anything.

I got to know about the disappearance of the knife from you.

As for the address, we may summon Lypa for a confrontation

‒ and she'll conform it. ‒ You called her before we left for Rodion.

Of course I did! It's my duty to inform her about the case,

because she is my client.

This is it! Carry your investigation out

as far from my office as possible! If I see you here once more,

I'll detain you for three days!

‒ Kalinin? ‒ What?

Don't get mad. Please understand - she cheated on all of us.

If we act together, we'll find the knife. Do you know what we shall do

first of all? We shall search Ladynina's house.

What are we going to look for?

It's clear that she won't return and hide the knife there.

‒ We may find some other clues… ‒ Right.

Announce Maria Olegovna Ladynina wanted, immediately!

‒ Makar? ‒ Serega?

Hi, Makar. You came in time. Masha handed something over to you

when you were absent. How was your trip?

Makar?

Serezha, will you tell me what had happened? What's wrong with Makar?

Masha stole the Scythian knife from the police.

It's impossible!

It's possible! She managed to do it thanks to the information

provided by Makar!

Are you sure that it was Masha who did it?

Maybe it's just a misunderstanding. Maybe you're slandering her!

We're sure. Nobody else could have done that.

I don't believe that Masha did it.

I didn't believe that such things can happen twice. But they can…

thanks to your normal Masha who resembles Nadya!

Why are you shouting at me? I have nothing to do with it!

Calm down!

Right! Let's all bang the doors now!

"I believe that you hate me right now. I deserve it, because I lied to you.

I'm sorry but I didn't have a choice. I hope one day you'll understand me.

Our relations started as a game.

However, the feelings that I had for you lately were real. I love you.

It's a pity that we didn't meet under different circumstances".

All the money is on your account now.

"Don't look for me".

I got it. The post. Yes. Bye and thanks! Take your things!

‒ We're going for a meeting with Rodion. ‒ Did you find his address?

My friend with connections with postal workers told me

that his post was delivered to a nursing home.

And?

Anyone - both patients and doctors - may get their mail from the ward.

Wait. He is not a doctor. He is a… nobody.

It may be so now. However, he used to be a male nurse.

So, he is still getting his mail there.

Sure. Let's go. We'll meet him in the pre‒arranged place. Yes.

‒ Will you throw this crap away? ‒ Let it live.

Come on.

We have been sitting here for three hours.

It's good that Nika made some sandwiches for us.

I wish you cared about the case as much as about food!

Do you know a saying - "when I'm eating I…"

Wait!

‒ I think it's Krasilnokov! ‒ Right.

The bird is in the cage.

‒ Serezha? ‒ Yes?

Don't press too hard on him; let's just talk.

We'll see.

‒ Rodion? Let's have a talk. ‒ Calm down, calm down…

‒ I didn't kill anybody! ‒ Calm down, calm down…

How do you know so many details if you hadn't killed Ladynina, as you say?

I'm a writer! I have rich imagination!

There are too many coincidences for it to be a work of imagination.

What about the incredible resemblance between your heroine

and Masha Ladynina? Did your imagination conjure it?

I worked at nights and noticed: as soon as the lights go off

elsewhere in Ladynina's house, Masha's window comes alight.

I supposed that she was hiding something from her relatives.

It inspired me, and I decided to make Masha a criminal.

Wait. How did you find out about the Scythian knife?

‒ I told you! I was observing them! ‒ Calm down, calm down!

I decided d to find out more about my heroine's life.

That's why I was watching Masha. She almost caught me a few times.

One night I saw her burning something behind the house.

I waited until she left and…

I snatched one piece of paper from the fire.

It was a drawing of an ancient knife. It was my luck.

I realized that the knife she drew made an ideal murder weapon.

I had to study the archives, of course, to get to know about its origins.

I see. What did you see when watching Ladynina's house?

‒ I wasn't watching it! ‒ Calm down, be quiet!

‒ I was just observing! ‒ Calm down!

All right. You were observing.

Did you see who entered the house before Mitya Ladynin?

It was a woman. I didn't see her face but I recognized her at once.

She had a scarf on - the one Masha Ladynina wears. Mitya came after her.

Then you came…

Let's go and talk.

Makar, it all coincides. Masha stated that her brother was not a killer

because she killed her mother herself.

Wait, Serezha. Nothing coincides. There were two scarfs.

Masha showed me hers. Before the police found the knife

wrapped in another scarf - the one Ermakov had.

Now we need to find out who had the other scarf.

This is what interests me the most. What shall we do with him?

We'll take him to Kalinin. Let him give evidence.

All right. Take him to Kalinin, and I'll check something out.

‒ Well? It's time to perform your duty! ‒ What duty?

Hello, Makar. Did you come to me or to Sveta?

‒ I came to you. ‒ Good. I'm listening.

You and Ladynina were close friends, right?

Yes.

I'd like to know who had the second scarf.

What scarf?

A Chinese silk scarf. Masha told me that she brought two scarfs -

for herself and for her mother.

Yulia Mikhaylovna gave hers away as a present.

Why are you standing? Come in.

One second… Sit down.

Now tell me about these scarfs.

Yulia Mikhaylovna gave her scarf away as a present.

You see, she liked to dress well. She didn't like that scarf.

She decided not to wear it. She said that it was too dark

and made her look older. Why are you asking?

A witness saw the murderer entering the house in the scarf.

The knife with traces of Ladynina's blood was wrapped in it.

‒ What about Masha's scarf? ‒ She still has it. I saw it.

So, it may only be the one that Yulia Mikhaylovna

must have given to… you.

The list of suspects shortens to two persons.

I have only one question - who wore the scarf? Sveta or you?

Tell me, Makar…

will you give me a lift to the city?

‒ I need to see the investigator. ‒ Answer my question first.

No. It's urgent.

I don't have time. I want to confess to a murder.

It's so weird to be in this park ten years later!

I'm thinking all the time… how would it all be

had I not listened to mum and driven you away.

Mum was dancing to Ladynina's tune then.

I don't know. I don't know.

You had somebody, didn't you?

Was he Kostya's father?

He was… but he left me as soon as Kostya was born.

Was it because Kostya was special?

Yes.

And also because Kostya'a father was married.

I thought that it would be an insignificant affair…

that it would take my mind off you. However, it happened so that…

Hello? This is me.

You want to give Kostya back, don't you?

All right, we'll come in the morning.

I told you that we'll do it!

No, wait! Stas, what if I fail? I tried to do it once;

I even had a nervous breakdown; I wanted to commit suicide!

‒ Stop it! ‒ You don't know what he is like!

One shall watch him all the time. He may shout without any reason.

‒ He is barely talking… ‒ First, I'll help you. Secondly,

we'll find a good development program for him.

Don't worry about the money. I have the money and I'll pay.

Everything will be fine!

It all started when Yulia Ladynina offered us to send Kostya

to a care home for rehabilitation. We had to pay for that,

because otherwise we'd have to wait for our turn for a year.

Ladynina had an acquaintance in the care home and so she arranged it.

Do you want to say that you bribed the director of the care home?

‒ How much did you give? ‒ It was a huge amount. 300,000.

I hoped that Kostya would get better and that Sveta would have some rest

and maybe even arrange her personal life.

Of course, I didn't have such money.

I borrowed here and there and… I gathered the money

and gave it to Ladynina. Then it turned out that we were cheated on

and that we lost Kostya forever.

How could you think

that the renunciation of the maternal rights was fictitious?

I don't know. For some reason I believed Ladynina.

Later I went to Yulia and asked her to change it all back, to help us.

However, she said that nothing could be done

and that we should be grateful to her for our Kostya was an imbecile.

Wait… this is not important. The main thing is…

I came to her and asked for her help. I saw the envelope

in which I handed the money over.

That's when I understood everything.

Why didn't you turn to the police? Why didn't you file a statement

on Ladynina? We'd arrest her for swindling.

Oh, God, what police?

I went to the care home. I begged then…

They told me that everything was done lawfully.

Sveta had her first nervous breakdown. The director threatened me

with sending Sveta for a compulsory treatment to the mental hospital.

‒ Are you unwell? ‒ Yes. Give me some water, please.

This is it. Come on, put it down. Put it down.

I came to Ladynina.

I asked her to help us once more. She didn't answ… she didn't help.

A knife was lying on the table. I took it… I took it and…

I stabbed her with that knife.

Kalinin? I'll call the ambulance!

Yes, the ambulance!

‒ Aren't you cold? ‒ No, I'm not.

I hope you won't catch a cold.

Everything is fine. I haven't felt so good for ages! Thank you!

Let's go shopping, Sveta! We'll buy new clothes for Kostya,

‒ pencils, notebooks, pens, books… ‒ One moment.

And something tasty.

Wait. Hello? Yes, this is Sveta Tsaryova. What?

Stas, mum is in the police department. She had a heart attack.

Let's go! Faster!

Mum, how are you? Can you hear me?

I can hear you, Sveta. Everything is fine.

The doctor said that you had two micro‒heart attacks.

Why didn't you tell me that you felt so badly?

Forgive me, Sveta. I'm very guilty before you. I ruined your life.

Mum, don't think about it. I'm fine. Stas is with me.

We'll take Kostya home tomorrow. You'll recover and come back too.

It's good that your life is coming back to order. You shall live,

bring Kostya up, have a child from Stas.

Remember about it when you find out everything.

‒ What will I find out, mum? ‒ It doesn't matter. I love you.

Mummy, I love you too. Mum! What's wrong with her?

Get her into the car. Be quick!

Mum! Mummy! Do something! Mum! Mummy!

Where will you take me? To the prison?

Sit down.

Sign the protocol and go home.

Home? Did you catch the murderer?

Alexandra Tsaryova killed your mother.

Alexandra Sergeyevna? It's impossible. She was mum's friend.

Tsaryova confessed.

I don't believe it. I want to talk to her.

It's impossible. Alexandra Sergeyevna died three hours ago

in a hospital of an extensive heart attack. Sign the protocol…

You may be free.

‒ Makar, the dinner is ready. Let's go. ‒ Serega…

Wait! Nika made your favorite varenikis!

Serezha, thank you but I'm not hungry.

You haven't had a bite since yesterday!

Let's go to the kitchen and talk about it!

Leave me alone, will you, Serezha? Do your own thing,

and I'll do mine! I'll go for a walk.

Makar, Masha isn't there!

Good evening. May I come in?

‒ Of course, you may! Hello. ‒ Hello.

I'm cleaning up a bit.

My wife and my son will come the day after tomorrow.

Do you want some tea or something to eat?

No, thank you very much. Where is Masha?

She had to meet you, didn't she?

No. She called right after I switched my phone on.

She said that she was fine but she was on a trip. She promised to call later.

I wanted to call her back, but her phone is switched off. Why are you asking?

She promised to share some information about the Scythian knife with me.

She must have been busy and forgot about it.

It's very important, though. May I look for it in her room?

Of course, you may! I'll make some tea, after all.

Thanks.

Damn it! Please be more careful next time.

All right. I will.

It just seemed to me that there…

Will you tell me about it when you know more?

Of course, I will! You're my client!

I'm your client who doesn't pay but who is madly in love with you.

Nika, I wanted to tell you…

Babkin, look at what I found!

Masha opened a bank account a few days ago.

How will it help us?

What do you mean? This is the account

for receiving the money from the sale of the Scythian knife!

She'll want to cash that money.

Kalinin announced her wanted. She'll have to buy new documents. I see.

Guys, I don't understand anything, How may it help you in this situation?

If we find out in what bank branch she will cash the money,

we'll be able to catch her.

Hi. When did you last hack a bank?

I think we shall inform Kalinin.

Shall we confess to a hacking attack at a bank too?

First, it was not an attack but a quiet infiltration.

Secondly, we may refrain from disclosing our sources.

‒ Thirdly, I told you before that… ‒ Wait. She is coming.

‒ It's high time to call him now. ‒ Wait with your Kalinin, will you?

Let's detain her ourselves! When she goes out of the bank with the money,

we'll ask her a couple of questions and call Kalinin after that.

Thanks.

Lypa!

You scared me!

For a moment it seemed to me that it was Viktor.

Are you really so scared of him?

I…

I left him. He won't leave it like this.

Lypa! Lypa, I promise…

no, I swear that I'll be able to protect you

from him, from everybody! Do you believe me?

I… I don't want to stay here any longer. Let's go away!

Let's do it!

I've already gathered your notes.

There is no need to do that anymore.

What do you mean? What about your book? Won't you finish it?

I've already finished it. I sent it to the publishing house long ago.

I have a meeting with the chief editor tomorrow.

How long may one count the money? We have spent two hours here!

I think we missed her.

‒ Let me go in and look. ‒ Go.

Hold this.

‒ What is it? ‒ Look.

She received the money and went to the toilet.

This is what I found there.

There is no way we will find her now.

What are you saying? Do you really think that we won't?

It's not the end of it, Makar.

What would you do without me? What would I do

without my friends from the road police?

You'd pay fines for parking in wrong places.

‒ I do pay them. ‒ What do you have?

Here you go. Without them, I wouldn't get the records

from the surveillance camera by the bank.

Here, here… There she is.

When did she come in? 11:45.

Move further.

11:45

Wait, wait!

‒ Wait! Go back! ‒ All right.

Stop. This is her!

Did you recognize her gait?

No. Look, Serezha. A woman with such looks didn't enter the bank.

‒ Yes. ‒ Move further.

Yes.

Yeah.

‒ This is the taxi she left in. ‒ Put the plate number down.

Yes. Do you think the taxi driver will remember

this beauty and where he took her?

‒ I suggest checking it out. ‒ Let's go!

This is our driver.

Good afternoon.

‒ Hello. ‒ Hello.

‒ I'm Makar Ilyushin. ‒ Sergey Babkin.

We're private detectives.

We have a couple of questions. You gave a lift to a girl

from the Institutskaya Street. She was of medium height,

with dark hair and in a black coat.

I don't remember my passengers. The only thing I want from them

is to pay and not to smoke in the car.

Look at the photo. Do you recognize her?

Do you know how many people I drive every day?

I don't remember their faces.

I can see that you use a navigation system.

‒ May I look at it? ‒ Please do if you need to.

Be quick, though, I have to go on working.

All right. Thanks. When did she leave the bank?

At 12:05.

12:05 - the Podbelskogo Street, 38. Do you remember the house?

I remembered it now. We didn't go all the way there.

She went off somewhere here, in four quarters to the place.

‒ The Tomashevskaya Street. ‒ Thanks.

‒ Good‒bye. ‒ Good‒bye.

Where shall we look for her now?

Shall we visit all the apartments in the house?

I wonder where she could have gone…

Anywhere! She could have stopped another car

and go to the other end of Moscow. The Tomashevskaya Street, 19.

Where do I know this address from? I remembered!

I saw it when checking the database!

Filipova Nina Dmitrieyvna was her name. Do you remember?

Was she a sister of Uncle Zhenya, the last husband of Ladynina?

Exactly! She has an apartment here. House number 15, apartment 350.

‒ This is it. I'll go there myself. ‒ Makar, don't be a fool.

Serega?

Makar, wait! Let's call Kalinin. Let him come and sort it out.

Let him arrest her… Serezha?

Makar!

Serezha, listen to me. I'll bring her to Kalinin personally. I promise!

Makar, Makar…

Tomashevkaya Street, 15.

Ilyushin is listening.

Entrance 7, floor 12.

‒ Hi. ‒ Where is the knife.?

It's where it should be.

You're clever. I think you can guess it yourself.

I ask you… how did the Scythian knife end up in your house?

Icons are not my only specialization. I work with the weapons too.

‒ And? ‒ Troitskiy called me and offered a job.

They couldn't turn to official restoration workshops

for there was something cheesy about that knife's origins.

He asked me to restore it. I studied the knife and realized

that it was my chance. If I did everything fast enough, I could earn a lot.

It meant that the mortgaged house wouldn't be taken away,

and that Mitya's wife would come back to him and he would be happy.

‒ Of course, I agreed. ‒ So, you decided to steal it, didn't you?

How did Artemyev get it? Do you know who he is?

I know. He sells antiques.

Ask anyone who worked with it about his ways.

He robs poor widows by buying real engravings

of Durer or paintings of Vermeer for nothing.

He tells them that they are fakes!

Did you decide to steal what had been stolen?

What do I have to do with it? Mum found the knife and re‒hid it.

She had a sixth sense for such things. She must have thought

that thanks to that knife she would be able to return to her former lifestyle.

Then mum was killed, the knife disappeared, Mitya got arrested and you…

You promised to find her murderer. Do you remember?

I've found her. It is Tsaryova Alexandra Sergeyevna. I kept my word.

‒ Wait. Alexandra Sergeyevna? ‒ Yes. She confessed to Kalinin.

Makar, this is impossible. I came home 15 minutes after Mitya had found mum's body.

Hello.

I met her on my way home. She smiled to me.

She was going from the shop. She held a bag in her hand.

Do you think she killed mum on her way to the shop?

Do you think she killed her and then went to buy chicken and milk?

It's simply impossible!

I know. She wouldn't have time to do it, hide the knife

and come back home as if nothing had happened.

‒ Do you see? You failed to keep your word. ‒ As if you cared!

The only thing you needed was the knife.

What about me? Was I just a means?

What is it?

Two tickets to Berlin. We'll change flights there.

One of the tickets is issued in your name. Let's go with me!

Let's go!

You don't have who to spend the dirty money with, do you?

You'll find somebody else there!

I don't need just a "somebody". You know it well.

I don't understand anything now.

What is there to understand? I love you.

Stop it.

What if he gets scared and doesn't want to go with us?

No "ifs", Sveta. We'll manage it.

Let's go.

Kostya, honey, I'm your mum.

He doesn't understand what is going on. Hold him by his hand all the time.

These are the papers on the child. You'll have to sign a few statements

and gather some other documents to restore the maternal rights.

All right. I'll do it.

If you have any questions, call me. I may help with the papers.

Of course, I'll call you.

‒ Let's go. ‒ Good luck.

Good‒bye.

Kostya!

"I'll be waiting".

Catch it! And back!

Once more! Good!

Here we go!

Good!

Sveta, look! He likes it!

He likes you.

‒ Hello. ‒ Hello.

How may I help you?

I was going to Nika.

Come here.

Is it your son?

Yes. We brought him home today.

I still can't believe that he is with me.

I feel so ashamed for sending him away.

Yes. A feeling of shame is so weird!

It makes people do weird things sometimes. For example,

your mother confessed to what she didn't do. Is that so?

Let's talk inside.

Look! I made it! Here…

You killed Ladynina for Kostya got into the care home because of her.

No. Why do you think so? I have nothing to do with it.

The facts say so. The evidence points to that too.

The murder weapon was wrapped in the scarf that Ladynina gave to your mother.

Maybe mum was wearing it that day when she went to Ladynina.

She wasn't. She was in a shop and a witness saw her

‒ returning home after the murder. ‒ Your witness is lying.

The witness isn't lying. It's her daughter Maria. She can't be lying.

All right, I'll tell you everything.

It all started when I found out that the idea to send Kostya

to the care home belonged to Ladynina. Mum just danced to her tune.

When they didn't even let me see Kostya, I went to Ladynina at once.

I wanted her to withdraw the claims.

It's you!

Yulia Mikhaylovna, I was at the care home.

They refuse to give Kostya back to me. Do you hear me?

I'm talking to you. Do you hear me?

Ladynina hit me.

Calm down, stop your hysteric!

After that, I snatched the knife.

What is…

She wanted to hit me once more, tripped and fell on the blade.

I heard the steps and realized that somebody was coming.

I took this scarf off my head, wrapped the knife in it

and ran away through the back door.

You told your mother about it, and she took the blame.

No. Mum… I didn't tell her anything.

But she guessed it herself.

Mum could see that something was wrong with me.

I didn't see and didn't understand that she was so sick.

She was trying to change it all until the end.

She wanted me to turn a new leaf, to be happy. Mum succeeded.

I am happy now. When I was going to Ladynina,

I felt that my life was finished, that nothing good would happen

and that it would only be worse. I didn't think about the consequences.

I have to pay for that now, when Kostya and Stas are with me.

Let's go. I'm ready.

Where to?

To the police. I'll confess to everything.

At least the memory of mum will be clean.

I believe that Ladynina turned your life unto hell. I believe in fate too.

Your fate is to be here, with your family.

Sveta, we're here.

Come here.

What happened? Why are you crying? Did he upset you?

No, Stas. I'm crying out of happiness.

Mum…

Kostya! Kostya!

Makar's mum has just called. She was asking why her son's voice

was so weird and why he was answering her questions so curtly.

‒ "Did anything happen"? ‒ Did you tell her about Masha?

Are you crazy? She'll be here in two hours.

No, I want to have a calm life. Makar is strong.

He'll get over his psychological trauma on his own.

Serezha, you shouldn't behave like this! It's wrong! First, she is his mother.

She has to know. Secondly, she knows how to cheer her son up.

‒ Calm down. ‒ This is wrong.

Nika, let's sit down, drink some tea and decide what to do with Makar.

Hi.

What is it? What's wrong with your faces?

Hi. We are… we have been waiting for you.

‒ How was your day? ‒ Fine.

‒ How are you in general? ‒ I'm fine.

At least I did one thing right.

Let's drink some tea.

NZG Genie Z-60/37FE Boom Lift by Cranes Etc TV - Duration: 5:50.

It's time to go up in scale and that's

because this time we're looking at a

piece of powered access equipment. These

type of models are usually in the larger

scale of 1/32. This model is

a Genie Z-60 self-propelled

articulating boom, and it's the 37FE

version. There is also a 37DC version which is

NZG number 9561 and that

just has colour and graphic differences.

Once you open the box there's no

assembly to do because this model is

complete out of the box.

Looking underneath, the model is very

simple with just a hollowed-out

undercarriage, but the tyres have got a

good tread pattern and are mounted on

detailed wheels. The body is all metal

and it's got a nice shape and there is a

control console with a highlighted stop

button, and a panel handle at the bottom.

The boom is all metal with fairly

discrete connection rivets and there

are no hydraulic hoses anywhere on the

model. The boom sections are all metal

and that includes the telescopic section.

The basket is also metal with metal

handrails, and there is a nice mesh floor and a

simple plastic console. Cranes Etc has

provided hundreds of model reviews over

the years so if you like what we do, you

can support us via Patreon and if you do

support us you can receive rewards in

return.

So please check it out on the link which

is also in the video description and

thanks in advance to everyone who

provides support.

Let's access the test track and give the Genie a workout and

it's good enough at rolling along with

each of the wheels able to spin

independently. One feature the model has

is an oscillating axle which makes it

good for rough terrain, although you

can't lock it and we'll see that later.

The steering is very good and you get a

nice sharp angle, and so the machine

turns very tightly.

It's time to get to our favorite part

and that's getting our boom up, and the

main boom ram is quite stiff and will

hold most poses. To get a bit of extra

reach the boom is telescopic and the

inner section pulls out smoothly and it

has three intermediate locking points.

This particular machine also has a riser

section and that means the main boom can

be raised up higher by a scissor

section, and that gives some other

flexibility which we'll see soon. This is

an access machine, so of course at the

end of the boom there's a basket and

it's fixed to its own short jib.

The connection allows the basket to

rotate through a wide angle and the

short jib also gives some additional

flexibility in how you position the

basket. Of course the whole boom can be

rotate and if you control it properly

then it's fairly smooth but there is

some stiffness and jerkiness. Just

imagine being in that basket. You'd be

jumping about like a frog in a frying

pan. The other interesting feature of the

real machine, and the model can replicate

it, is the ability to place the basket at

a lower position than the machine. To do

that you have to elevate the rising

section and that gives you a downward

angle on the telescopic part. This is

quite a big model in 1/32 scale so

let's do a Dim check, and if we put the

tape on it we see that the working

height is about 60 centimeters which

reflects the 20 metres of the real

machine. Time for a Genuine Imitation

Real-Life Test, and we're going to test

the load capacity of the machine at

maximum reach. If the basket is empty it

is stable at maximum reach although it

does tilt on the tilting axle so

really you'd want to be able to lock

that. The capacity of the real machine is

227 kilograms which scales to about 7

grams at 1/32 scale, and here we've

added on 20 grams which is a three times

overload and the machine is not tilting

over although we do have a bit of

cylinder bleed. Let's now try it at 30

grams which is about four times overload

and the result is that this is the

quickest way to get to ground level.

It's always nice to see another piece of

access equipment modelled and this one

from NZG is a strong and heavy model. It

has some good features and they all work

very well but this is not a model which

has a very high level of detail. Overall

though it does look nice on the desk and

it's easy to rate as good.
