Trump ramps up rhetoric on Canada trade 'We will not stand for this!'

President Trump on Tuesday ramped up his criticism of Canada's trade relationship with the United

States, less than a day after imposing a new tariff on Canadian softwood lumber.

"Canada has made business for our dairy farmers in Wisconsin and other border states very

difficult.

We will not stand for this.

Watch!" Trump tweeted Tuesday.

The tweet came about 12 hours after Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross announced the retroactive

imposition of a 20 percent tax on Canadian softwood lumber that is imported to the United

States.

Wilbur said there's a need to impose a retroactive tax to counteract a Canadian subsidy on its

soft lumber industry to the tune of $1 billion.

Ross called it a "bad week" for American trade relations with Canada.

He also criticized the Canadian decision to "cut off" the last dairy products being sent

from the United States to Canada.

One of Trump's most prominent messages during the campaign was his criticism of the North

American Free Trade Agreement between the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

Trump promised to pull the United States out of the agreement in order to protect American

industry.

The Washington Examiner reported on Monday that a tax on Canadian specialized milk, used

to make cheese, is expected to come soon from the Trump administration.

'North Korea WILL succeed' US military boss makes HORROR missile prediction

A TOP military official in charge of stopping war with North Korea has admitted Kim Jong-un WILL fire a nuclear weapon.

Speaking to a congressional panel in the United States today, Admiral Harry Harris warned he could not guarantee Kim would not do "something precipitous".

Harris, who is the commander of the US Pacific Command (Pacom), said the hermit state could throw the world over a cliff edge if it succeeds in mounting a nuclear weapon to a ballistic missile.

His comments come as Donald Trump ordered a rare classified briefing on the situation at the White House for the entire US Senate today.

Harris said: Just as Thomas Edison is believed to have failed 1,000 times before successfully inventing the light bulb, so, too, Kim Jong-un will keep trying.

One of these days soon, he will succeed. But he added the US does not know exactly when Pyongyang will be successful, saying he in not sure of the "infection point".

Tensions between the United States and North Korea have reached boiling point in recent weeks. A large military contingent – dubbed Trump's "armada" – has been sent to the regime's border to see off any potential threats.

Aircraft carrier the USS Car Vinson is currently approaching the Korea peninsula from the western Pacific Ocean after carrying out drills with two Japanese destroyers.

And Trump has laid down the World War 3 gauntlet – saying he will strike North Korea if it conducts another missile test. Admiral Harris commented on the horrifying impact a US attack on Kim could have for other countries.

A missile strike on North Korea could potentially kill millions of Koreans in Seoul as well as 24,000 US troops currently stationed in South Korea.

He told the panel: "I would say what we're faced with is that on one hand and a lot more Koreans and Japanese and Americans dying if North Korea achieves its nuclear aims and does what [Kim Jong-un] has said it's going to do.

"I don't share your confidence that North Korea is not going to attack either South Korea or Japan or the United States or our territories or our states or parts of the United States once they have the capability.

"I won't say that they will but I don't share your confidence that they won't.". But Harris also sounded a cautious note, saying all options are on the table.

He added: In confronting the reckless North Korean regime, its critical that were guided by a strong sense of resolve, both privately and publicly, both diplomatically and militarily. All options are on the table.

We spoke with Richard Goold from EY about

artificial intelligence and its impact

on the labor market.

Richard welcome. So, our hot topic interview today is around

artificial intelligence and I first of

all want to ask you what are the main

advantages that AI can give to

businesses and individuals?

So, AI is huge already. There are a large number of

startups globally looking at this

area and one VC said to me recently that

every technology company is going to

involve machine learning or AI before

too long if they're not already and

and as I say there are a large number of

use cases but to me one of the most

exciting areas is around data.

There is an exponential amount of data being created

and AI enables it to be analyzed so the

analytics will create new business

models and drive value from this big

data pool.

Yeah we can unlock the potential of big data.

Something that's constantly in the headlines is how AI can make

some jobs obsolete. Are there some jobs

that are more at risk than others?

Clearly a combination of technologies

robotics, machine learning and AI is

talked about as being a mass threat to

employment and for sure there will be

some jobs that get displaced.

I think that other jobs will be created in the

same way is there is displacement and

typically blue-collar type jobs and the

more junior jobs within the white-collar

world I think are at threat but equally

there will be new opportunities created

And should jobs be protected and if so

whose responsibility is that?

Should that be coming from the government?

Well, fundamentally I guess I believe in a

free market and therefore talk about

protectionism does always give me a bit

of an allergic reaction. However, there is

a really important ethical debate to be had

around all this and I think that's a

combination of academia and government

and business and the populace at large

to agree some parameters, but government

protectionism I don't feel that's the

right place certainly for this country to go to.

So, you'd rather there'd be more

just sort of discussions had around it at this stage?

I think that's the way to go.

Overall, then could AI conversely end up creating more jobs?

So, I think that there will be new

roles that will be created and clearly

technology is a threat to some existing

roles but at the same time technology is an opportunity. A lot of mundane jobs

can move to being much more exciting,

interesting jobs and that's the

opportunity I think that AI creates.

Prince William and Kate Middleton Prepare To Be Crowned Next King and Queen as Will Retires - Duration: 2:16.

After seven years of service to the Royal Air Force Prince William has decided that

it is time to move on.

He started as an officer cadet at Sandhurst military academy in 2006 and began search

and rescue helicopter training three years later.

According to a palace spokesperson William ultimately participated in 156 search and

rescue operations and helped to rescue 149 people.

He also has garnered more than 1,300 flying hours

The timing of his retirement isn�t too surprising as his wife, Kate Middleton gave birth to

the couples� first child, Prince George, in July.

William was said to have realized that he couldn�t keep running off to save the world

and risking his own safety now that he has family responsibilities.

William is going to take a year off to transition back into normal life as well as his new life

as a father.

It�s interesting, we heard months ago that Queen Elizabeth was toying with the idea of

abdicating and handing the crown to William next summer and this plan certainly would

fall into line with that!

He will spend the year completing his royal duties, becoming comfortable in his role of

family man and by the time next summer rolls around he will likely be mentally prepared

to take on more royal duties.

For a while Elizabeth was handing some responsibilities to Prince Charles and it looked like she was

preparing to pass the proverbial torch to her son as would be expected, but that seemed

Republicans' first attempt to repeal and replace Barack Obama's Affordable Care Act

failed last month, and the White House indicated last week that it is preparing a revised version

of the House health care bill to debate as early as this week, ahead of Trump's 100th

day in office.

Republicans have not yet presented their proposal publicly, however, nor has their plan received

a score from the Congressional Budget Office.

Obamacare is frequently criticized because some insurance premiums have risen since its

enactment.

The CBO's report on the failed House Republican bill, the American Health Care Act, predicted

that the legislation would increase average premiums in the insurance marketplaces before

2020 and lower them after that point, "relative to projections
