15 #Sahara - Z Belgi do Paryża (ENG SUB) - Duration: 13:28.

You don't know how hard is to take it all

Look, how many things. And we have it all in our backpacks

Ania fly out with a tent

It's so windy

Don't record. Just help me!

Wait! I'm recording

We will check how you get it.

First shoes

Who take so many things?

Seriously, there is so many

Whose it's ?

Your. I have only a backpack

sleeping pad and sleeping bag

And three socks

What a scream

Yesterday was heat, today is cold ...

We must vacuum

Ania vacuum like this. Never give her job. Nowhere

And what? Who don't believe that we don't do it

Done? For sure, a lot of you.

For sure. Look hom cold is for Ania.

Very cold

terrible

And I only in a shirt

And how culture involve, we take every rubbish.

We put it out

Go to slip road

And to Paris .... It's that place

Which we was slept. Now they put a barbed wire

And inscription : PRIVATE

I think he must be really scared

And we have a dumpster here

here , here

And I must go there , because of course here the dumpsters are nowhere

Go take out the rubbish

Good

We go to Paris

Because it's cold

And Belgian annoy me

Good that not Pole in Belgium

No ... the weather annoy me

Good, it's enough. You can't look at her so long, because ...

Because to will run out, and off the movie

I will hypnotise you

...........

It's cool

You know that somebody look out the window?

Lady there

Ok , after 2 km we see there a road

Yes there, afar off

We will go direction to France. Without Calle

What we have? Paris !!

Good bye rise

We are going to Paris!

The plan is that we stay somewhere next to Paris

And in the morning we will go inside, because Paris is very big

And to be safely

We go inside in the morning, and we leave in the evening

I was slept in this car. Totaly

Ania here

We can wash cups

We can make a tea and eat something!

Exactly

We have about 240 km to Paris

Easy

It's only one way

But it was very nice sleep

Perfect, a little bit rock , but well

We meet a Pole. We look - Polish number plate

But unfortunatly he have a break

I take about ...

20 sugar bags, or more

20 kilos

20 kilos from petrol station

And we are looking kow for a tap

To take more water, because toilet is cost 0,70 euro

And stink

Tell me why more of bus driver are from Poland?

Ther only use a Polish people?

Fast food

We have a pie

With butter and salat

And we try to clean this cup, because we cook here

So how you see, everything is burned

Ania take sponge. We have a polish

We heat it up a little. Maybe it will easier

We will try

And a gas

From Poland is end

Empty

Good that ... It isn't full

Good that we have another one

And what? we finish eat

And time to go further

There is about 10 km to border

We are still in Belgium , in a moment will be France

So I'm sure that we will be in France today

New country, new adventure.

Neither me neither Ania was in France

So it will be great

Anna is hitchhiking. And she say that she is still on petrol station

Wait

Here is a station, here no

And we can't catch a car so we go

make a break

One moment break

All right, we go to this Paris...

Don't shout

We have to make a little break.

And that's tough. Belgium stop us again

And we stay another beautiful morning

in Belgium. Another beautiful day.

Although we have 10 km to France

It's so cold. You can't imagine.

Said a girl who have termal clothes,

And me in shirt, T-shirt and sweatshirt

and in sweats. Because I don't have nothing else

I must

function.

With a goat

And where we can sleep here? Tell me

On the end of this path

And tell me why this path is here?

There is that way

And we are going into this forest

Like always Ania go first

Because I'm recording

no , no, no ,no

You want to be on every video , yes?

So you must go first

How to record back?

He said that I must go first

What?

What?

Something wird

What?

I don't know

And here

Here is ...

Check the bed

If there isn't a sharf sticks

Good

And great! The tent is ready. We do it together

Together

We will sit a moment

We put a stuff

And sleep

Look what Ania make

A tea and a sandwich

With only one slice bread that we have

But I make a lot of smaller

Yes, a lot ..

Good

Nice place

All right we take a things

France must be today

So dirty Ania here

I'm also , easy

tu tu tu tu tu

Nice place, what you think?

In forest

And a dumpster it is?

Also no.

We have a rubbish

And like good cityzen

We put it always in to a dumpster

No on the ground

Sun !

And this bicycle stay here since yesterday. But it change a side

Funny

And we are going to station

Across Ania's mysterious way

Listen what happend ! A guy come to us

We sit here , he come to us

I say it third time. And he say that he is going to Paris

And he take us with him

We don't start hitchhiking.

Totaly, we come here to brush a teeth

And we get a food also.

We get 3 sandwich per person. And a juice

He spend 30 euro for this

Ania what you would say?

It was delicious

My was medium

I was envy that you take that, because I take with chicken

Hello, we are in France

About 15 km from Paris

In a moment we will be .

We will brush a teeth now, because we can't make it. This guy come to us by himself

And we will go farther

And we will see Eiffel Tower, finaly , on our eyes

And what?

Time to go, yes?

To Eiffel Tower

Look , even here is "Bonjour"

Look, what strange road. Any truck can go there

Evaluate me, support me

In next episode

Look !

You see it?

Eiffel Tower!

God, What Do You Want Me to Do - Part 1 | Enjoying Everyday Life - Duration: 28:31.

ANNOUNCER: THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN MADE POSSIBLE

BY THE FRIENDS AND PARTNERS OF JOYCE MEYER MINISTRIES.

JOYCE: CAN I TELL YOU, THERE IS NOTHING, NOTHING THAT YOU DO

THAT GOD IS NOT INTERESTED IN AND THERE'S NO PLACE THAT YOU GO

THAT GOD IS NOT THERE?

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: YOU'RE NEVER ALONE.

[MUSIC]

JOYCE: IT AMAZES ME, I CONTINUE TO BE AMAZED AT HOW

MUCH IS IN JUST ONE CHAPTER OF THE BIBLE.

BUT IF WE JUST READ THROUGH IT, MANY TIMES WE MISS

A LOT OF WHAT'S THERE.

AND SO TODAY, I WANT TO SHARE WITH YOU THIS MORNING

ON JOHN CHAPTER 21.

IN JOHN CHAPTER 21, THERE ARE NINE DIFFERENT LESSONS

JUST IN THAT ONE CHAPTER OF THE BIBLE.

I WON'T STAND HERE AND PROMISE WE'LL GET THROUGH ALL NINE

BECAUSE I KNOW I AM, BUT WE'LL DO THE BEST THAT WE CAN.

ALL RIGHT, JOHN CHAPTER 21, VERSE 1,

"AFTER THIS, JESUS LET HIMSELF BE SEEN AND REVEALED [HIMSELF]

AGAIN TO THE DISCIPLES, AT THE SEA OF TIBERIAS.

AND HE DID IT IN THIS WAY."

NOW, JUST TRY TO KIND OF GET A PICTURE OF THIS.

"THERE WERE TOGETHER SIMON PETER, AND THOMAS,

CALLED THE TWIN, AND NATHANAEL FROM CANA OF GALILEE,

AND THE SONS OF ZEBEDEE, AND TWO OTHERS

OF HIS DISCIPLES."

SO, THEY'RE ALL SITTING AROUND IN A GROUP, I GUESS, KIND OF

THINKING ABOUT WHAT THEY WANT TO DO, LIKE WE DO SOME DAYS.

"AND SIMON PETER SAID TO THEM, I'M GOING FISHING!"

EXCLAMATION MARK.

NOW, THAT ALWAYS CAUGHT MY ATTENTION BECAUSE

OF THE EXCLAMATION MARK THAT'S THERE.

SO, HE MUST HAVE SAID IT WITH SOME EMPHASIS OR MAYBE,

AND I DON'T KNOW THIS FOR SURE, BUT MAYBE PETER

AND SOME OF THE DISCIPLES WERE JUST A LITTLE BIT, I DON'T KNOW,

FRUSTRATED, YOU KNOW, THEY HAD THESE THOUGHTS ABOUT

JESUS AND WHAT WAS GONNA HAPPEN AND HERE HE DIED

AND HE'S GONE NOW.

AND I DON'T KNOW, MAYBE THEY THOUGHT HE WAS GONNA COME BACK

AND DO SOMETHING AND THEY HAVEN'T SEEN HIM IN A WHILE

AND NOTHING'S HAPPENING.

AND SO, PETER WAS A FISHERMAN BEFORE JESUS CALLED HIM, AND SO

NOW IT KIND OF SEEMS LIKE HE'S JUST DECIDED HE'S GONNA GO BACK

AND DO WHAT HE USED TO DO.

YOU KNOW, YOU GOTTA BE CAREFUL IF YOU FEEL LIKE JESUS

HASN'T SHOWN UP IN YOUR LIFE FOR A WHILE THAT YOU

DON'T DECIDE TO JUST GO BACK AND DO WHAT YOU USED TO DO.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: AMEN?

NOW SEE, THE LESSON THERE THAT WE WOULDN'T HAVE GOT IF WE

WOULDN'T HAVE SLOWED DOWN AND REALLY LOOKED AT THAT.

SECOND THING HERE IS, "AND THEY SAID TO HIM,

AND WE'RE COMING WITH YOU!" EXCLAMATION MARK.

WELL, I LIKE THAT TOO.

DO YOU KNOW THAT A LEADER OR THE HEAD OF A FAMILY, THEY

HAVE--THERE'S A CERTAIN GIFT ON THEM FOR PERSUASION?

AND, YOU KNOW, IT'S BAD ENOUGH TO SIN YOURSELF,

BUT IT'S DOUBLY BAD WHEN YOU DRAG OTHER PEOPLE INTO IT.

AND SO, IT'S JUST INTERESTING WHATEVER A LEADER DOES

WITHOUT EVEN REALLY TELLING OTHER PEOPLE TO DO IT,

PEOPLE WILL FOLLOW THEM.

YEARS AGO WHEN I FIRST STARTED WHAT WAS A WOMEN'S MINISTRY

AT THAT TIME, MY HAIR WAS A LITTLE BIT LONGER, AND I WORE

IT PULLED BACK ON THE SIDE WITH COMBS.

I'D PULL IT BACK WITH COMBS AND THEY HAD A LITTLE DECORATION

ON THEM.

AND I NEVER TOLD ANYONE TO DO IT, BUT WASN'T LONG AND ALMOST

ALL THE WOMEN IN THE CHURCH WERE WEARING COMBS IN THEIR HAIR

WITH THEIR HAIR PULLED BACK.

SO, YOU NEED TO REALIZE IF YOU WANT TO LEAD SOMETHING THAT YOU

BETTER BE LEADING PEOPLE IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION BECAUSE

NOW YOU'RE NOT ONLY RESPONSIBLE FOR YOURSELF,

BUT YOU'RE GONNA BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SOME OF THE THINGS

THAT YOU LEAD AND GUIDE THEM DO.

SAME WAY WITH PARENTING.

YOUR KIDS ARE GONNA DO A LOT MORE WHAT THEY SEE YOU DO

THAN WHAT YOU TELL THEM TO DO, AMEN?

SEE WHAT WE'RE LEARNING ALREADY?

NOW, SO THEY WENT OUT AND THEY GOT INTO THE BOAT.

AND HERE COMES THE NEXT MESSAGE, "AND THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT,

THEY CAUGHT NOTHING."

SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU JUST JUMP UP AND MAKE YOUR OWN

DECISION AND DO YOUR OWN THING?

"OOH, NOTHING ELSE HAS HAPPENED, I'M GOING FISHING."

"YEAH, WE'RE GONNA COME WITH YOU."

AND GUESS WHAT, THEY CAUGHT NOTHING.

SOME OF YOU HAVEN'T CAUGHT ANYTHING IN A LONG TIME.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: AND YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY

GOD'S NOT BLESSING YOUR PLAN.

COME ON NOW, GOD DOESN'T HAVE TO BLESS OUR PLAN.

HIS PLAN IS ALREADY BLESSED.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: COME ON, MAYBE SOMEBODY THIS MORNING COULD JUST

MAKE A SLIGHT TURN AND THINGS WILL GET SO MUCH BETTER FOR YOU.

NOW, YOU KNOW, I'M NOT SUGGESTING THAT YOU HAVE TO HAVE

A THREE-DAY PRAYER MEETING TO DECIDE IF YOU CAN GO FISHING

OR NOT.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: I MEAN, WE ALL DO A LOT OF THINGS THAT WE'D LIKE

TO DO, BUT THERE IS A PRINCIPLE

HERE THAT WE DON'T WANT TO MISS AND THAT IS THAT THE BIBLE SAYS

IN PROVERBS, AND I LOVE THIS, "IN ALL YOUR WAYS,

ACKNOWLEDGE HIM."

SO, I JUST THINK IT'S GOOD TO START YOUR DAY, "NOW LORD,

THIS IS WHAT I HAVE PLANNED TODAY, BUT IF WHAT I HAVE

PLANNED IS NOT WHAT YOU WANT, THEN YOU'RE WELCOME TO INTERRUPT

ME AND GIVE ME THE GRACE TO GO IN WHATEVER DIRECTION YOU

WANT ME TO GO IN," AMEN?

JAMES 4:13 SAYS, "COME NOW, YOU WHO SAY, 'TODAY OR TOMORROW

WE WILL GO INTO SUCH AND SUCH A CITY AND SPEND A YEAR THERE

AND CARRY ON OUR BUSINESS AND WE'LL MAKE MONEY.'

YET YOU DO NOT KNOW [THE LEAST THING] ABOUT

WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN TOMORROW.

WHAT IS THE NATURE OF YOUR LIFE?

YOU ARE [REALLY] BUT A WISP OF VAPOR."

DOESN'T MAKE YOU FEEL TOO IMPORTANT, DOESN'T IT?

"A PUFF OF SMOKE, A MIST."

SOMETIMES WHEN I SHARE THIS SCRIPTURE, I WILL BRING

A CAN OF HAIRSPRAY UP INTO THE PULPIT WITH ME AND JUST

SPRAY IT ONCE AND JUST KIND OF WATCH IT FLOAT OFF AND JUST SAY,

THERE WE GO.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: I MEAN, IN LIGHT OF ETERNITY, OUR YEARS THAT WE

HAVE HERE AND OUR IMPORTANCE COMPARED TO WHO GOD IS.

SO, IT'S NOT THAT WE'RE NOT IMPORTANT TO GOD.

HE ASSIGNS GREAT IMPORTANCE TO US, BUT HE'S JUST MAKING

A POINT HERE.

YOU KNOW, YOU'RE NOT IN CHARGE.

YOU'RE NOT AS IMPORTANT AS YOU THINK YOU ARE.

YOU'RE NOT AS SMART AS YOU THINK YOU ARE, SO INSTEAD OF JUST

MAKING ALL YOUR PLANS FOR THE FUTURE AND EXPECTING ME

TO BLESS THEM, HOW ABOUT JUST SLOWING DOWN HERE

AND SAYING THIS.

"YOU OUGHT INSTEAD TO SAY," VERSE 15, "IF THE LORD

IS WILLING, WE SHALL DO THIS THING OR THAT THING.

BUT AS IT IS YOU BOAST FALSE IN YOUR PRESUMPTION

AND YOUR SELF-CONCEIT AND ALL SUCH BOASTING IS WRONG."

SO, THEY HAD THEIR OWN PLAN.

THEIR PLAN DIDN'T WORK AND THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT,

THEY CAUGHT NOTHING.

VERSE 4, "MORNING WAS ALREADY BREAKING WHEN JESUS CAME

TO THE BEACH AND STOOD THERE.

HOWEVER, THE DISCIPLES DID NOT KNOW THAT IT WAS JESUS."

WOW, HOW COULD JESUS BE

IN OUR MIDST AND US NOT KNOW THAT IT'S JESUS?

BUT IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME.

YOU KNOW, WHAT WE NEED TO-- AND I'M NOT TRYING TO BE

OVERLY RELIGIOUS HERE, BUT I DON'T THINK BELIEVERS

NEED TO USE THE WORD "LUCK."

"WELL, I WAS JUST LUCKY."

NO, GOD GAVE YOU FAVOR OR YOU WERE BLESSED,

BUT LUCK IS FOR THE WORLD, WE'RE NOT JUST LUCKY.

"WELL, WASN'T THAT NICE A COINCIDENCE?"

NO, I DON'T THINK SO BECAUSE GOD BUSIES HIMSELF

WITH OUR EVERY STEP.

AND, YOU KNOW, THIS WASN'T THE ONLY TIME THAT THE DISCIPLES

WERE STANDING RIGHT WITH JESUS AND DIDN'T KNOW THAT IT WAS HIM.

YOU'D THINK THAT THOSE MEN WHO WERE LITERALLY WITH HIS PHYSICAL

PRESENCE DAY IN AND DAY OUT WOULD HAVE RECOGNIZED HIM.

SO, ONE OF THE THINGS THAT I LIKE TO PRAY IS, "GOD, ANY TIME

THAT YOU'RE DOING SOMETHING IN MY LIFE, PLEASE DON'T LET ME

MISS IT."

I DON'T WANT TO MISS THE THINGS THAT GOD DOES IN MY LIFE BECAUSE

I THINK THAT'S PART OF WHAT MAKES EVERY DAY OF OUR LIFE

SPECIAL IS TO KNOW THAT GOD IS CONCERNED WITH EVERY LITTLE

TEENY TINY DETAIL OF OUR LIFE.

CAN I TELL YOU THERE IS NOTHING,

NOTHING THAT YOU DO THAT GOD IS NOT INTERESTED IN

AND THERE'S NO PLACE THAT YOU GO THAT GOD IS NOT THERE?

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: YOU'RE NEVER ALONE.

I'M ACTUALLY PREPARING A MESSAGE RIGHT NOW THAT I'VE JUST GOTTEN

INTO, YOU'RE NEVER ALONE.

I READ SOMETHING LAST WEEK THAT IMPRESSED ME.

A CERTAIN PREACHER HAD ACCOMPLISHED A GREAT DEAL

IN HIS LIFE, JUST A PHENOMENAL AMOUNT OF WORK, AND SOMEBODY

SAID TO HIM TOWARD THE END OF HIS LIFE, "HOW IN THE WORLD

HAVE YOU ACCOMPLISHED ALL THAT YOU HAVE ACCOMPLISHED?"

HE SAID, "WELL, YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER THERE'S TWO OF US."

ISN'T THAT GOOD?

THERE'S TWO OF US.

WE'RE NOT ALONE,

WE HAVE A CONSTANT COMPANION.

NOW, VERSE 5 IS JUST ACTUALLY REALLY CUTE.

"SO JESUS SAID TO THEM, BOYS (CHILDREN), DO YOU HAVE

ANY MEAT, ANY (FISH)?

[HAVE YOU CAUGHT ANYTHING TO EAT ALONG WITH YOUR BREAD?]"

IN OTHER WORDS, HE'S NOT CALLING THEM SONS REPRESENTING MATURITY,

HE'S CALLING THEM BOYS, CHILDREN, REPRESENTING

THAT IT'S OBVIOUS THEY'RE STILL QUITE IMMATURE BECAUSE

THEY'RE STILL JUST JUMPING UP AND DOING THEIR OWN THING.

COME ON, IS ANYBODY GETTING ANYTHING OUT OF THIS?

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: AND SO, I JUST LOVE THIS CHAPTER BECAUSE IT'S LIKE

JESUS IS SAYING, "OKAY, IS IT WORKING?"

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: I TRIED FOR YEARS TO CHANGE MY HUSBAND AND MAKE

HIM BE WHAT I WANTED HIM TO BE.

AND FINALLY ONE DAY--HONESTLY DAVE HAS ALWAYS LOVED, LOVED,

LOVED SPORTS.

WELL, I NEVER GREW UP WITH ANY OF THAT.

MY DAD DIDN'T LIKE SPORTS AND THE WAY I WAS RAISED,

WHAT HE DIDN'T LIKE, NOBODY GOT TO LIKE.

AND SO, I DIDN'T HAVE ANY LOVE FOR ANY OF THE SPORTS,

AND SO BECAUSE I DIDN'T LIKE IT, I DIDN'T WANT DAVE TO DO IT.

NOW, I KNOW NONE OF YOU OTHER LADIES

HAVE THAT PROBLEM, BUT I DID.

I DIDN'T LIKE IT AND I DIDN'T WANT HIM TO DO IT.

AND SO, HE PLAYED GOLF.

HE WATCHED FOOTBALL.

HE WATCHED BASEBALL.

HE WATCHED BASKETBALL.

HE GOT INTO TENNIS.

HE GOT INTO BOWLING.

ANYTHING THAT ROLLED OR BOUNCED, DAVE LIKED IT.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: AMEN?

AND SO, I KEEP TRYING TO GET HIM NOT TO LIKE THIS, NOT TO LIKE

THIS, NOT TO LIKE THIS.

AND ONE DAY HE WAS WATCHING A FOOTBALL GAME, LISTENING

TO A BASEBALL GAME, AND SHINING THE DRIVER FOR HIS GOLF CLUBS

AT THE SAME TIME AND MY LIGHTNING FAST BRAIN,

AFTER MANY YEARS OF MISERY,

FINALLY THOUGHT, YOU KNOW WHAT?

WHAT I'M DOING IS NOT WORKING.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: SO, MAYBE I COULD JUST ASK YOU TODAY,

IS WHAT YOU'RE DOING WORKING?

MAYBE SOME OF YOU NEED TO JUST GET OUT OF CONTROL AND LOVE IT.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: COME ON, FEW OF YOU WILL GET THAT.

I THINK THAT WOULD BE MAKE A GOOD BOOK, "OUT OF THE CONTROL

AND LOVING IT."

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: IN OTHER WORDS, HOW WONDERFUL WOULD IT BE IF WE

COULD EVER GET TO THE POINT WHERE WE KNEW THAT WE

DID NOT HAVE THE ABILITY TO RUN THE WORLD AND MAKE

EVERYBODY IN THE UNIVERSE DO WHAT WE WANT THEM TO DO?

MY GOODNESS, I WONDER WHAT IT

WOULD BE LIKE IF WE COULD JUST GET THROUGH ONE DAY

WITHOUT HAVING OPINIONS ABOUT WHAT EVERYBODY ELSE IS DOING.

"BOYS (CHILDREN), IS YOUR PLAN WORKING?"

"NO!" EXCLAMATION MARK.

"AND HE SAID TO THEM, 'WELL, CAST YOUR NET

ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BOAT.'" COME ON, SOMEBODY NEEDS TODAY,

YOU NEED TO CAST YOUR NET ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BOAT

'CAUSE YOU'VE BEEN FISHING ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE BOAT

AND NOT CATCHING ANYTHING.

ACTUALLY, THE TITLE OF THIS MESSAGE TODAY IS "GOD,

WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?" NOW, SOMETIMES WE SAY THAT

IN FRUSTRATION LIKE, "WELL, I'VE DONE EVERYTHING I KNOW

TO DO AND NOTHING'S WORKING.

GOD, WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?" BUT I'M LOOKING AT A MORE

SINCERE QUESTION LIKE, "GOD, WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?"

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: I CAN SAY IT AGAIN IF YOU DON'T ALL LIKE IT.

GOD, WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: YOU KNOW, SOMETIMES WHEN I'M IN THE MIDDLE

OF SOMETHING, IF I JUST STOP AND SAY, "OKAY GOD,

I'M FEELING REALLY FRUSTRATED, I'VE LOST MY PEACE HERE.

WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?" SO OFTEN I'LL JUST HEAR HIM SAY,

"JUST LEAVE IT ALONE.

THIS IS NOT SOMETHING YOU CAN DO ANYTHING ABOUT.

JUST LET ME TAKE CARE OF THIS."

YOU KNOW, THERE'S SO MANY THINGS IN OUR LIVES THAT GOD WANTS

TO TAKE CARE OF, BUT HE WON'T UNLESS WE LET HIM GO.

"CAST YOUR CARE ON THE LORD AND HE WILL CARE FOR YOU."

FIRST, WE HAVE TO STOP TRYING TO DO EVERYTHING, SHOWING

THAT WE TRUST GOD TO DO IT.

SO, HE SAID TO THEM, VERSE 6, "'CAST YOUR NET

ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BOAT AND YOU WILL FIND [SOME].'

SO THEY CAST THEIR NET, AND NOW THEY WERE NOT ABLE

TO HAUL IT IN BECAUSE IT WAS SUCH A BIG CATCH."

I LOVE THAT.

HOW MANY OF YOU WOULD LOVE A BIG DUMP TRUCK TO PULL UP

TO YOUR DRIVEWAY AND JUST DUMP A HAUL OF BLESSINGS

RIGHT AT YOUR FRONT DOOR?

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: AMEN?

"THEN THE DISCIPLE WHOM JESUS LOVED SAID TO PETER,

'IT IS THE LORD!'" GREAT REVELATION.

WHEN HE SAW THE MIRACLE,

ANOTHER LESSON HERE, HE BELIEVED IT WAS GOD.

BUT, YOU KNOW, JESUS TOLD THOMAS WHO SAID, "I WILL NOT BELIEVE

UNLESS YOU SHOW ME YOUR SIDES AND YOUR HANDS, THE SCARS

IN YOUR SIDE AND YOUR HAND," JESUS MET HIM WHERE HE WAS AT,

WHICH I LOVE ABOUT HIM.

HE WILL MEET US WHERE WE'RE AT.

AND SO, HE SHOWED HIM SO THOMAS COULD BELIEVE, BUT THEN HE SAID,

"BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO BELIEVE AND HAVE NOT SEEN."

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: HEY, IT'S EASY TO GET UP AND GET EXCITED

IF YOU'VE RECEIVED YOUR HEALING.

IT'S EASY TO GET UP AND GET EXCITED

IF YOU'VE HAD YOUR MIRACLE, IF YOU'VE HAD YOUR BREAKTHROUGH.

BUT DON'T FORGET ABOUT WHAT IT WAS LIKE WHILE YOU WERE STILL

GETTING THAT TESTIMONY YOU'RE NOW GIVING.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: 'CAUSE THE ONLY WAY YOU GET A TESTIMONY IS TO GO

THROUGH A TEST, AND LIKE WE SAID LAST NIGHT, WE LOVE TO LOVE

JESUS JUST AS MUCH WHEN THINGS ARE NOT GOING THE WAY WE WANT

THEM TO AS WE DO WHEN THEY ARE.

AND I BELIEVE WITH ALL OF MY HEART IF YOU CANNOT LOVE

GOD IN THE HARD TIMES, YOU WILL NOT LOVE HIM IN THE GOOD TIMES.

AND I KNOW PEOPLE THINK THAT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE, BUT IT

ACTUALLY DOES BECAUSE WE ARE MORE INCLINED TO SEEK GOD WHEN

WE'VE GOT A NEED THAN WE ARE WHEN WE DON'T HAVE A NEED.

SO, IF YOU LOVE HIM JUST AS MUCH

IN THE VALLEY AS YOU DO ON THE MOUNTAINTOP,

THEN YOU'RE LIKELY TO STAY IN THE RIGHT PLACE AND KEEP

YOUR PRIORITIES STRAIGHT.

SEE, YOU--MAYBE YOU'VE GOT YOUR BREAKTHROUGH NOW

AND YOU'VE HAD YOUR HAUL AND EVERYTHING IS GOOD FOR YOU.

WELL, JUST A COUPLE THINGS TO REMEMBER, DON'T FORGET

TO HAVE COMPASSION ON THOSE WHO HAVEN'T COME THROUGH YET.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: AND DON'T FORGET JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T NEED A MIRACLE

NOW, THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT YOU DON'T NEED JESUS JUST AS MUCH

EVERY SINGLE MOMENT OF YOUR LIFE 'CAUSE, YOU KNOW WHAT?

WHEN HE SAID, "APART FROM ME, YOU CAN DO NOTHING,"

HE MEANT IT, AMEN?

"THEN THE DISCIPLE WHOM JESUS LOVED SAID TO PETER--"

AND BOY, YOU KNOW, JOHN WROTE THIS BOOK OF JOHN, AND HE

CONSTANTLY CALLED HIMSELF, "I AM THE DISCIPLE WHOM JESUS LOVED."

NOW, I'M ENOUGH LIKE PETER THAT I KNOW THAT HAD TO GRATE

ON PETER.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: "I'M THE DISCIPLE WHOM JESUS LOVED."

IT'S LIKE...

WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: WHAT CONFIDENCE HE MUST HAVE HAD.

MORE THAN ANY OF THE OTHER DISCIPLES, HE WAS FOCUSED

ON NOT HIS LOVE FOR JESUS, BUT JESUS'S LOVE FOR HIM,

AND HE OUTLIVED THEM ALL, AMEN?

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: THAT'S ANOTHER WHOLE MESSAGE.

"THEN THE DISCIPLE WHOM JESUS LOVED SAID TO PETER,

'IT IS THE LORD!' AND SIMON PETER, HEARING HIM

SAY THAT IT WAS THE LORD, PUT AND (GIRDED) ON HIS UPPER

GARMENT (HIS FISHERMAN'S COAT)-- FOR HE WAS STRIPPED [FOR WORK]--

AND SPRANG INTO THE SEA.

AND THE OTHER DISCIPLES CAME IN THE SMALL BOAT, FOR THEY

WERE NOT FAR FROM SHORE, ONLY SOME HUNDRED YARDS AWAY,

DRAGGING THIS NET FULL OF FISH.

WELL, WHEN THEY GOT OUT ON LAND (THE BEACH), THEY SAW

A FIRE OF COALS THERE AND FISH LYING ON IT [COOKING],

AND THERE WAS BREAD."

NOW, HERE COMES ANOTHER AMAZING LESSON.

"AND JESUS SAID TO THEM, BRING SOME OF THE FISH

THAT YOU HAVE JUST CAUGHT.

SO SIMON PETER WENT ABOARD AND HE HAULED THE NET TO LAND,

FULL OF LARGE FISH, 153 OF THEM," WHICH MY GOODNESS,

I LOOKED ALL OVER THE PLACE AND NOBODY CAN GIVE A REASON

FOR THAT 153.

THE ONLY THING THAT I FOUND, AND THEY'RE NOT EVEN SURE THIS

IS TRUE, IS SOMEBODY SAID THAT THERE WAS 153 DIFFERENT SPECIES

OF FISH AT THE TIME, AND PART OF THE MIRACLE WAS THAT THERE

WAS ONE FISH OF EACH SPECIES.

BUT I THINK THIS, I THINK, IF FOR NO OTHER REASON,

THOSE FISH WERE COUNTED AND IT WAS RECORDED IN THE BIBLE

JUST TO SHOW US WHAT GREAT ATTENTION GOD PAYS

TO EVERY LITTLE DETAIL IN OUR LIFE.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: I'VE BEEN READING IN LEVITICUS AND NUMBERS,

WELL, LET ME REPHRASE.

I'VE BEEN TRYING TO READ LEVITICUS AND NUMBERS.

AND I MEAN, THE DETAIL OF THE ARK, THE DETAIL

OF THE TABERNACLE, THE DETAIL OF HOW THE PRIEST HAD TO DRESS.

I MEAN, JUST EVERYTHING WAS JUST THESE INTRICATE DETAILS,

BUT THEN YOU GET ALL THE WAY OVER INTO THE NEW TESTAMENT

AND THE BIBLE SAYS THAT HE HAS NUMBERED THE VERY HAIRS

ON OUR HEAD.

NOW, I KNOW FOR SOME PEOPLE THAT'S NOT AS BIG A JOB FOR GOD

AS IT IS FOR OTHERS BUT--

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: AMEN?

JUST THINK ABOUT THAT FOR A MINUTE.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT WE THINK.

YOU KNOW, GOD IS JUST NOT IN OUR LIFE FOR AN EMERGENCY.

THE GREAT THING ABOUT BEING A CHRISTIAN IS YOU GET A HELPER,

A COMPANION, A FRIEND.

THERE'S NO LONGER ONE OF YOU, THERE'S TWO OF YOU.

LAST NIGHT WE HAD A FAIRLY LARGE NUMBER OF PEOPLE RECEIVE CHRIST,

AND I PRAY THAT SAME THING WILL HAPPEN TODAY BECAUSE YOU

DON'T WANT TO GO OUT OF HERE AND LIVE YOUR LIFE ALONE DOING

YOUR OWN THING AND SPEND YOUR LIFE CATCHING NOTHING.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: IT'S SO MUCH BETTER TODAY TO JUST SURRENDER

AND JUST ADMIT THAT YOU'RE NOT DOING A GOOD JOB

RUNNING YOUR LIFE AND ASK JESUS TO TAKE OVER, AMEN?

ASK HIM TO COME IN AND CONTROL AND TAKE OVER.

AND THEN I LOVE THIS, VERSE 13,

I SHAKE MY HEAD EVERY TIME I SEE THIS.

"AND JESUS CAME AND TOOK THE BREAD AND GAVE IT TO THEM,

AND ALSO THE FISH."

NOW, IN CASE YOU MISSED THIS, JESUS COOKED THEM

BREAKFAST.

WHAT?

THE RESURRECTED LORD, HE HAD DIED, GONE TO HELL, TAKE

THE KEYS OF HELL AND DEATH AWAY FROM SATAN, ROSE OUT OF THAT

GRAVE VICTORIOUS, TOOK HIS BLOOD INTO THE HOLY OF HOLIES,

CAME BACK DURING THE 50 DAYS, REVEALED HIMSELF TO HIS--

THE RESURRECTED, THE KING OF KINGS,

THE LORD OF LORDS, THE EVERYTHING OF EVERYTHING.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: AND HE COOKED THEM BREAKFAST.

WHAT AN EXAMPLE.

AND THEN WE HAVE TO THINK ABOUT JOHN 13 AND, BOY,

THAT'S SO FULL OF LESSONS.

PETER WAS TALKING THIS MORNING ABOUT, DO YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE?

YOU KNOW, THE ONLY WAY YOU COULD REALLY SERVE OTHER PEOPLE

WITH A GOOD ATTITUDE IS TO KNOW WHO YOU ARE.

JESUS KNEW WHO HE WAS, SO THEREFORE HE DIDN'T HAVE

TO PROVE WHO HE WAS.

HE COOKED THE BREAKFAST.

YOU KNOW, I--DAVE WILL ASK ME ONCE IN A WHILE,

"YOU WANT TO COOK ME SOME EGGS?" AND I DON'T--

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: NOW, I MEAN I COOKED A LOT WHEN MY KIDS WERE LITTLE,

BUT I GAVE IT UP A LONG TIME AGO AND NOW AT THIS POINT,

MY FAMILY'S GLAD.

BUT LET'S JUST SAY THAT WHEN ANYBODY MENTIONS

BREAKFAST TO ME, I DON'T HAVE THE GOOD ATTITUDE JESUS HAD.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: YOU KNOW, I'M SO GRATEFUL THAT WE HAVE A HELPER

IN OUR LIFE, THE HOLY SPIRIT, WHO'S PROMISED TO NEVER LEAVE US

NOR FORSAKE US, TO BE WITH US AND TO HELP US AND GUIDE US.

SO, WHATEVER MAY BE COMING UP ON THE HORIZON OF YOUR LIFE, YOU

CAN KNOW THAT YOU'RE NOT EVER GOING TO HAVE TO DO IT ALONE.

AND YOU CAN HAVE FUN WHILE YOU'RE DOING IT.

YOU CAN ENJOY YOUR LIFE.

TODAY I WANT TO OFFER YOU A BOOK THAT I'VE WRITTEN

THAT I'M REALLY FOND OF CALLED, "THE POWER OF SIMPLE PRAYER."

YOU KNOW, WE ALL WANT TO PRAY.

WE KNOW WE SHOULD PRAYER, BUT REALLY PRAYER

IS NOT AN OBLIGATION.

IT'S MORE OF A PRIVILEGE THAT WE HAVE.

AND I'M GONNA ENCOURAGE YOU TO START PRAYING MORE THAN YOU

EVER HAVE BEFORE, AND EVEN WHEN I SAY MORE, I'M NOT SAYING YOU

HAVE TO SIT DOWN IN ONE PLACE AND PRAY A LOT LONGER

AT ONE TIME.

I JUST WANT YOU TO LEARN TO PRAY YOUR WAY THROUGH THE DAY.

START LETTING GOD IN ON EVERYTHING THAT YOU DO.

INVITE HIM INTO EVERY SITUATION.

AND WE'RE GONNA OFFER YOU, WE'RE GONNA GIVE YOU

THIS PRAYER JOURNAL, WHICH IS A NICE LITTLE LEATHER JOURNAL.

AND YOU CAN WRITE DOWN MAYBE SOME OF THE THINGS YOU'VE PRAYED

AND THEN RECORD WHEN YOU SEE THOSE ANSWERS COMING

IN YOUR LIFE.

I BELIEVE A LOT OF TIMES WE PRAY ABOUT THINGS AND THEN MAYBE

TWO, THREE, FOUR, MAYBE EVEN SIX MONTHS LATER, THE ANSWER

COMES, AND WE FORGET TO REALLY THANK GOD FOR WHAT HE'S DONE

IN OUR LIFE.

SO, LEARN MORE ABOUT PRAYER, WRITE SOME OF IT DOWN,

AND BE AMAZED AT WHAT GOD WILL DO IN YOUR LIFE.

THANK YOU FOR BEING WITH US TODAY.

Morning Conversations with Jim Self and Roxane Burnett - What do you Live for? - Duration: 7:14.

So have you ever given any thought to what you live for? What I live for?

Yeah that concept what do you live for? Well I have 45 grandchildren and I

really think I live for them. I spend every weekend with them and babysit them

and I love my 45 grandchildren. Wow. They bring me happiness I would live for them.

Well you've been holding out on me all this time says so that's amazing. That's

not an uncommon comment I have grandchildren and my children and yeah

but what do you live for? What do you live for? So what what do I what's

happening in my life that I enjoy? Yes what's important to you in terms of how

do you define what gives me happiness versus you're supposed to love your

grandkid -children when you get to be 85 or 90 like you are. You're supposed to do

this that and the other. I don't think I don't think people and me included very often even

consider that question. Yeah so one of the things that I'm watching is as these

times change there's gonna be a lot of very fundamental aspects of these times

in people's lives that are gonna change things that they do by habit or things

that they do by I'm supposed to or I should or this is how it is. Unexamined

is going to potentially create some challenges. I'll give you an example with

our friend Sally I talked to her the other day and she had just come back

from a trip and she said look at these really great things that I bought. Well

the thing about Sally is she buys something every time she goes away. Like

souvenirs. Like souvenirs like knickknacks like things and she puts

them in her house and she's 74 years old and her house is full of no that's not a

judgment on my part that's how she likes her life. But what is not examined is

this accumulation of stuff and then a lot of people at

our age are starting to start to have a consideration of what I do with all

this stuff. But in Sally's case what I watch is she just is in this habit -habit -and

there's no examination of the habit it has nothing to do with knickknacks or

what she does or what but it's not an examination of why do you do this? Well

I'm supposed to or it made somebody happy once upon a time. But what about

you what about the you the you in life do you ever really get to the point of

saying what am I all about. Well some supposed to's are not habits there have

to's. People have to work to pay the rent. Sure sure.

I have 45 children I have to feed them. Sure

so there are half to's and there are things that we assume are half to's also

and there are aspects though that the question is what are you all about.

Well I think it's I think with these with this shift with the transition it's

important for all of us to intentionally consciously identify those things in our

lives that we enjoy. Yeah. And do those things in a very intentional way. Yeah so if you

were alone let's approach the question from that stand point. If you

were alone you didn't have your 45 kids you didn't have me you didn't have and

yet you were okay you didn't have financial difficulties you weren't

physically in peril in any way. What would it take to to consider that

position? Everything's gone you're healthy you're financially okay and at

that point you would probably begin to make a decision or ask the question what

about me? What would I like do? Well isn't that what people do when the kids leave the home

and or they retire? I don't know I don't know I think so I I would think so but

in fact you know we know a lot of people that you know haven't haven't

prepared for their retirement. Haven't thought through their circumstance.

Haven't really planned for here I am what would I like to do? And so I'm just

asking the question. Because one everybody is getting older and two there

are changes that are in the mix that are going to interrupt people's realities.

And so but the really more fundamental question is in what do you who are who

am i how am i experiencing myself what gives me passion what do I enjoy? And

then do those things and then put your attention on them. Watch lots of people

they say oh I'd like to do this or I'd like to do that and yet they it's all

the reasons why they can't do it or they don't pay attention. Right it's an

important question and it's getting to be more and more important for us to look at

ourselves that way. Yeah and there and particularly as you start to step into

this 5th dimensional space so I'm going to talk more and more about this

on Facebook because I want to start to just pose some considerations. But there

are words for example like mastery or graciousness or ease. They are not in our

vocabulary. Oh I just spoke those words but they don't have any place -in 3d -in

3d. They're not 3d words so when you start to step into this 5th

dimensional space words like certainty and it's and seniority and this

is who I am the ability to begin to reframe yourself and still take care of

your 45 kids from a from a me enjoying space. And maybe many people enjoy their

grandkids I get that. Yeah. But the me space how do I begin to become masterful of my

life. Yeah. And that's the part where I'm really generating the question from. So

we'll talk about this more. Yeah let's do that.

So are you going to spend this weekend with your

45 kids? And their dogs and cats. Dog ok. There's 13 all together. Wow. Dogs and cats. Wow.

Okay. Would you like to join me? No thank you no thank you but enjoy yourself.

Thank you. We'll talk about this again maybe.

How do pilots determine the airplane altitude? Explained in 3 minutes by Pilot Lindy - Duration: 5:57.

Hi everybody, thank you so much for watching the first episode of the how do pilots series!

I have gotten a lot of questions about aviation after I asked you which

aviation related topics you would want me to explain

And finally, I know it has taken a lot of time. But finally it's here. I've found a way to

Explain things using animations. It's going to be really really nice

And I will be answering all the questions on aviation related topics

This is the very first episode and it's going to be about how do pilots determine altitude

Really I'm so excited about this

I hope this is going to be a success. I hope it's going to be really really helpful for you to understand new things

I hope I can help you. Really, I'm so so happy to do this!

So please , it would help me a lot,

you would support me a lot if you would put the thumbs up, if you subscribe here below to my channel

and leave a comment, either with questions that you have about aviation or

To tell me that you like what I do or maybe that you would like to see something different

I'm really really open for feedback

This is the most important of this series because I'm here to help you, to answer your questions.

So it's not about me. The vlogs are more about me or my life, let's say

But this is really for you. If you have any question, if you'd like me to do something different, please let me know

Really, I'm super open to any suggestion. These videos are going to be short videos

So they will be usually three minutes because I like to explain things in a short and concise way.

So that it's easy to understand and at the same time it doesn't get too boring or too difficult

I will not go on and on about one certain topic

I prefer to just keep it small and concise so that you can watch it in just three minutes!

And I think that would be most, that would be nicest for everybody

If you want additional information about that certain topic, write a comment below

Because it will be also useful for others if I reply to your question and then other people can learn from it as well!

In this animation you can see both airplanes flying at the same altitude but at a different distance from the ground.

How do we determine our altitude?

As you may know, in aviation altitude is expressed in feet. One foot is about a third of a meter,

because one meter is 3.28 feet

Typical cruise altitudes of a jet aircraft vary between 30,000 to 40,000 feet.

In order to know and let other traffic know at what altitude we are flying,

We need to use the same conditions whether we are flying over mountains or over a flat area

Therefore we use the following phraseology:

Height is the vertical distance to the ground and altitude is the vertical distance to mean sea level.

So in the animation, the airplanes were flying at the same altitude compared to sea level, but at a different height above the ground.

Every airport provides us meteorological information such as the wind, visibility, clouds

And the barometric pressure at mean sea level: the QNH

In the cockpit the altitude is shown by the altimeter.

The altimeter is based on pressure.

When we select the current QNH in the little window, we get an accurate reading of the current altitude.

If you are on the ground in any airport, and you set the correct QNH in your altimeter, it will read the airport elevation,

Which is the height above mean sea level.

Pressure changes from location to location,

So the QNH at your departure airport is usually not the same as the QNH in your arrival airport.

In order to maintain vertical separation between airplanes high in the air,

We all need to have the same reference. Thus use the same altimeter setting.

Therefore, at a certain altitude, the transition altitude,

we will change our altimeter setting from the local QNH to the standard pressure at mean sea level

which is 1013 hectopascal.

After this transition our altitude will be referenced to as flight level

So flight levels are based on a standard altimeter setting

of 1013 hectopascal now indicated as follows: rather than saying we fly at

38,000 feet, we will from that moment call it: Flight Level 380.

Before arriving to our destination during our descent, we will pass the transition level

After which we will set the altimeter to the local QNH of that airport and fly altitudes again, rather than flight levels.

So this is how pilots determine their altitude. I really hope that this was useful

I would love it if you would watch next video as well. It will be about how pilots

Navigate in clouds or in the dark. I really cannot wait for the next video. I hope you're excited as well!

Let me know what you think about these kind of videos in the comments and I will see you next week with a VLOG

And the week after with the animation video on how pilots navigate through the clouds or in the dark!

10 Things to do first in Manjaro - Duration: 17:16.

Manjaro is well pre-configured by default but there are still things you

can do to improve your user experience these are my 10 things to do after

installing Manjaro Linux

I apply these 10 things in my Manjaro this plasma 5 desktop which I

reviewed here but do not call this video all these tips will also work for Xfce

and GNOME desktops let's get started and the first thing I recommend to do is

to install Pamac Pamac is much better software manager than Octopi

let's open Octopi search for Pamac and install it now let's open a Mac so this

is how it looks and it was recommended by one of my subscribers who said it was

much better than Octopi and after trying Pamac I can completely agree for example

if you go to the preferences you will need to enter your administrative

password to enter the preferences you will see that it is little more advanced

than Octopi for example here you can easily enable the AUR repository

and you don't need to install any of the AUR helpers as you have to do for

Octopi I showed how to enable the AUR in Octopi in this video there are also

some other useful settings for example you can clean cache from here you can

also define how many versions of a cached package you want to keep on your

system you can also refresh mirror list here usually you can do it for pacman

manually through the command line but it is very easily to be done here you just

need to find your country here select it and click refresh mirror list depending

on your country it may take quite a while but after that the mirror list

will be refreshed and Pamac will download the packages from the fastest

mirror in your country which will make the installation process of packages

through Pamac much faster you can also check the general settings here for

example I really like these settings that you can remove and unrequired

dependencies you can also define how often you want to check for updates and

some other settings like to download automatic updates and hide icon when

updates are not available which is very useful I will enable this option and if

you want to use only Pamac you can remove Octopi and remove all the

installed packages associated with Octopi by their By default when your Manajro

boots you see this boot menu you either need to press Enter or you need to wait

some time until the system starts booting but you can disable it and boot

into your Manjaro system as fast as possible open the terminal and edit the

file a etc default grub enter your password and here you can see grub

timeout it is set to five-second by default but you can set it to zero this

way your system will boot much faster Ctrl+O to save the file and Ctrl+X to

exit from nano editor when the GRUB settings are changed you need to update

your GRUB run sudo update GRUB if you reboot your system now there is no delay

this GRUB menu and Manjaro boots a few second faster if you don't like these

settings you can go back to the GRUB settings and change GRUB timeout back

to 5 seconds don't forget to upgrade GRUB after you change its settings number 3

reduce swappiness By default when Manajro uses a lot of ram memory it

starts writing some files into your hard drive and the hard drive is usually slow

as at the ram memory but if you have more than 2 gigabyte of ram you can use

this ram memory more efficient and to do that you need to change your swappiness

value you can check the default swappiness by running this command

cap proc sys vm swappiness and the default value will be 60 to reduce this

value you need to create a file etc sysclt dot d 100 Manjaro dot conf

enter your password and write here vm dot swappiness equal 10 save the file with

Ctrl+O and press Ctrl+X to exit now reboot your system and check the swappiness

value again it is 10 now so this way Manjaro will use your ram memory more efficient

number 4 install and enable firewall I was surprised that Manjaro

doesn't have any graphical program to manage firewall so let's install it open

Pamac or octopi if you still prefer to use Octopi and search for gufw and

install it open it from your menu enter your password

and if you see it doesn't open this is because there is small bug with

this program but you can easily fix it if you open the terminal and try to run

this program from the terminal and you will see this error message don't worry

it can be easily fixed if you edit one of the GUFW file run sudo use editor

nano and edit file bin Gufw enter your password and here you need to add this

line of text KDEsu this is if you use KDE if you use GNOME or Xfce you need

to use the comment gksudo so again if you use KDE use this command if you use

XFC or GNOME you should use gksudo I run KDE here so I will proceed with

this command and next type Python3 usr lib Python 3 point 7 don't worry I

do also provide this command in the description of this video so you can

just copy paste it in your Manajro site-packages Gufw gufw dot py Ctrl+O

to save and Ctrl+X to exit if I execute this command again now as you

can see Gufw opens and to make sure it works from your menu we can close it

here and open again so as you can see the problem has been fixed and now you

can use the graphical interface to manage your firewall usually I would

just enable it and use the default settings here you can change different

profiles if it's your home you can use home profile if it's public or office

you can use as of these two profiles I don't keep it home this is very easy

program to manage your firewall for example you can open some ports here if

you want it's also very user friendly here just find application for which you

want to open a firewall and enable it but I think for most of the users simple

default settings is there now will work fine if you are written happy or

uncomfortable working with this firewall program you can also watch my things to

do after installing Arhc Linux where I showed how to enables a command-line

interface of ufw but I think majority of users will prefer graphical program so

that's why I recommend using Gufw number 5 spell checking Manjaro has

some spell checking programs installed by default and it works pretty fine but

if you do a lot of writing as I do you can extend the functionality of

spell checking programs with mithens and languagetools these programs will

assist you with your writings so simply run the command sudo pacman with option S

and paste the names of these programs again I also copy them in the

description so click enter now your writing process in Manjaro will be a

little bit more advanced because you can benefit from using all these packages of

spell checking, mythens and grammar checking number 6 install Microsoft

fonts I think installing Microsoft fonts is

essential because if you need to open a document which was sent to you by

somebody who is using Microsoft products most likely that document will use

Microsoft fonts so it is good to install it open Pamac package manager

and search for the package TTF ms fonts this is where the arch user repository

becomes handy as you can see you can install this package from the AUR

repository mark it for installation and apply you can see the details of the

building and installing process in this detail tab this is one more reason why I

like Pamac it has very nice interface so make sure there are no errors in this

terminal window and that everything is installed successfully so when the

Microsoft fonts are installed you can close Pamac and open LibreOffice to

check if the Microsoft fonts available

and as you can see here is Times New Roman or if you scroll to the very top

you will see Arial which are the most popular Microsoft fonts you can use

them in your LibreOffice to create and read documents number 7 enable

trim for SSD by default Manjaro works pretty fine with SSD drive but you can

still extend the lifespan of your SSD if you're enable trim which is disabled by

default and to enable it you need to go to the terminal and run this simple

command sudo systemctl enable fstrim dot timer and press Enter you should see

a message that's a symlink has been created and this means that fstrim is

enabled in your system after you rebooted this will extend the lifespan of your

SSD drive but if you don't use SSD you can skip this step number eight remove

orphaned packages when you install and remove different packages sometimes

there are some packages which remain on your system but they are not used by any

program so these are the orphan packages and usually you can remove them to keep

your system clean if you open Pamac and go to the installed category you will

see also the category orphans you can click on it and if you see any package

here you can remove it because it is an orphan package but be careful because

sometimes some packages may be recognized as orphan packages but you

still may want to use them for some reasons unfortunately I don't have any

orphan package on my system right now so I cannot show you any but I think it is

good if you know about this option number 9 check for errors it is also

good to check for errors in your Manjaro system from time to time for example you

can check for any failed systemd processes to do that you need to run the

command sudo systemctl with the option failed

and if you see a message like this one which says zero it means there is no

failed processes which is very good if you see that some processes failed here

try to find the way how to fix them the easiest would be just a Google an

error message in addition to failed systemd processes you can also check if

there any errors in your log files and to that end you run command sudo journalctl

with option P 3 and XB it is very likely you will see some errors here but

it doesn't mean these errors are very critical just have a look what they mean

if you recognize some of them and you think it is important try to fix them if

you are unsure about some error messages google them and also try to fix them so

as you can see here I have some core dump processes here which is not very

good probably but it is my test system so it is not very critical for me and

I'm not going to use Manjaro as my daily driver I install this distribution to

review it for you and to create this video for you so I'm not going to

investigate these issues and to exit from these error messages you need to

press letter Q and you are back to your terminal so if you unsure about some

error messages if everything works fine don't worry but if you want your system

to work perfectly investigate what you have here and if it's needed fix these

errors and the last thing to do after installing Manjaro is to back up your

system actually I was pretty surprised that I was not able to find any backup

graphical program installed in Manjaro by default so that's why I recommend you

to open package manager and search for different backup programs there are

different choices here I have a specific play list about how to do backup in

Linux you can watch it here and pick the program you like the most for example I

think Manajro users will find pretty useful Grsync program because it is a

graphical program of I think Grsync is probably the most

popular backup to but it is still a little complicated

so if you are complete newbie I think Deja Dup backup tool will work the

best because it is a backup program which is installed by default in a Ubuntu

to this pretty user friendly and it is very simple so I recommend you to go

with this program if you want some advanced features you can also go with

Grsync but let's install Deja Dup backup toll it is installed now let's open

it here it is the it is a pretty simple program you can backup your system in

your data files as well as you can restore them if we go for all these

settings they also pretty intuitive I believe here you can define where you

want to backup I really like this program because you can use some of the

cloud storage here for example if you have Google Drive you can enable and use

it to back up your systems here you can also backup through the network and

probably my favorite option and this is what I recommend to most users is to

backup to an external USB Drive they approach the cheap now so you can buy an

external USB Drive connect to your system and back up to that USB Drive

when you connect it to your system your system just click here and select it here I'm

on the devices I don't have any USB Drive connected right now and if you

want you can also schedule backups but for this you need to have your external

USB Drive connected permanently to your system all you need to use any cloud

storage so I recommended to go with this backup - because it is very very user

friendly or I don't known if you are Majaro user what backup to do you use and what

would you recommend to other Manajro users please leave a comment below and

thank you for watching
