So friends Google is rumoured to launch its upcoming Pixel 3 and pixel 3 XL smartphones

at an event on October 9th this year.

Ahead of the official launch, almost everything about these smartphones has been leaked, including

a hands-on video of the Pixel 3 XL and the massive leak of all other specs of the smartphones.

The Google Pixel 3 mobile features a 5.5" (13.97 cm) display with a screen resolution

of 1080 x 2160 pixels and runs on Android v9.0 (Pie) operating system.

The device is powered by Octa core (2.8 GHz, Quad core, Kryo 385 + 1.8 GHz, Quad core,

Kryo 385) processor paired with 4 GB of RAM.

As far as the battery is concerned it has 2915 mAh.

Over that, as far as the rear camera is concerned this mobile has a 12.2 MP camera CMOS image

sensor supporting a resolution of 4000 x 3000 Pixels and the front snapper is powered by

a CMOS image sensor.

Other sensors include Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Barometer, Compass,

Gyroscope.

So, does it have a fingerprint sensor?

Yes, it does.

For graphical performance that can make games run smoothly, this phone has got a Adreno

630 GPU.

On board storage is at 64 GB with the option to expand the memory by No.

Dr. Govindappa Venkataswamy Google Doodle - Duration: 3:17.

Today the Search Engine Google is celebrating Dr. Govindappa Venkataswamy's 100th Birthday

with Google Doodle in India , Australia and New Zealand.

Govindappa Venkataswamy was a visionary Indian ophthalmologist who dedicated his life to

eliminating needless blindness.

He is the founder and former chairman of Aravind Eye Hospitals, the largest provider of eye

care in the world.

Known as Dr. V to colleagues and patients, Dr. Govindappa Venkataswamy, founded the Aravind

Eye Hospital, which started as an 11 bed facility and has grown into a network of clinics providing

life changing care to citizens of a nation struggling with high rates of blindness.

Born on this day in 1918, Govindappa Venkataswamy was raised in Vadamalapuram, a rural village

in Southern India.

He began his education at a school with no paper or pencils spreading sand from the riverbank

on the ground, students would write with their hands.

From such humble beginnings he went on to earn a B.A. in chemistry from American College

in Madurai, an M.D. from Stanley Medical College in Madras in 1944.

Despite his health issues, he learned how to perform surgery to remove cataracts—the

leading cause of blindness.

Dr. V could perform 100 surgeries in a day.

Addressing the problem of blindness in a holistic fashion, he set up eye camps in rural communities,

a rehab center for blind people, and a training program for ophthalmic assistants, personally

performing over 100,000 successful eye surgeries.

In 1973 he received the Padmashree award from the Government of India for outstanding service

to the nation.

Facing mandatory retirement at age 58, Dr. V began the next phase of his career in 1976,

establishing the GOVEL Trust in order to fund the first Aravind Eye Hospital.

The 11-bed facility was financed by doctors mortgaging their homes and donating their

own furniture.

The vision was to devote six beds to those patients who could not pay anything and to

cover those costs with the other five beds, serving patients paying only as much as they

could afford.

Today Aravind Eye Hospital has nearly 4,000 beds performing over 200,000 eye surgeries

each year, with 70% of patients paying little or nothing.

This seemingly miraculous result has been made possible by a relentless focus on efficiency

and good management.

Dr. V lowered the cost of cataract operations to nearly $10 per patient.

His team of paramedicals do most of the prep work required for each surgery, freeing doctors

to do what they do best.

Each year Aravind performs 60% as many eye surgeries as the NHS in Great Britain, doing

so at one-one thousandth of the cost.

As Dr V said, Intelligence and capability are not enough.

There must also be the joy of doing something beautiful.

The Girl Powered Workshop hosted by Google - Duration: 2:15.

Earlier today as the doors were opening here at our Google event,

we saw these girls streaming into the building and you could kind of see that they were

a bit nervous you know they don't know what they're coming into.

When I first came in I was a little frightened but I also felt like really supported

because I knew that there's so many girls all trying to achieve the same goal.  

It was kind of weird for me because I saw all those girls and they're all like

just a couple years older than me and I realized that I can do that too!

That transformation is so profound. All the kids rush out of here.

They just opened their kits and they just wanted to build their robot.

In this two day workshop a course that could take several weeks

can get compressed into a two day time frame to get the intimidation factor out.

It's just so exciting to see these teams of girls working together.

They've built a real robot that they're in there controlling and like de-bugging it on the field.

I always liked robotics, except it seemed really complicated and hard.

But it's easier to do than I thought and it's a lot more fun.

It's incredible to see what these girls can accomplish when you put all of them in a room together.

It's not always going to be building, it's not always going to be programming.

We have a little bit of something for everyone here at these Girl Powered workshops.

Although you're competing against someone else's robot, you still have a sense of community

because you realize they're just like you.

It was nice to like show these girls these experiences that robots isn't just one thing,

but you can apply it to all these different areas and really bring your interests into STEM.

It was really cool to like see how all the parts fit together in the end.

I was like wow I can't believe we actually made that on our first try!

That's what were looking to do here-

Create these opportunities for more girls who might not have had it before,

that might not have thought this was for them, and really open those doors.

We believe in these girls, It's really just about making sure that

if you have an interest in STEM that you know that you have a home here!
