Youtube daily is it Nov 6 2018

The gunners have both Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in their record books and it's fascinating how lucky Arsenal is to have these two great strikers in their squad but the problem has however been how to use them while maintaining the club's prefered formation of 4-2-3-1

Arsenal boss Unai Emery said that he doesn't want to start them together because he needs balance in his squad because having two strikers on the pitch is a bit dangerous if you want to play a defensive game, the fans however urged the coach to use them together and  they too also seemed dangerous when playing together when one has been brought into the game as a substitute in the first matches of the season

So Unai Emery is now including both of them in the starting eleven, so the question is, are they still impressing when they start together or better off being one as a substitute? The answer is no

Well if we are to say that is not working these days to include them in the starting eleven, then that's right if we can look at Arsenal's matches against Fulham and Leicester City

Aubameyang was left on the bench and was brought into the game in the second half when the gunners took on Fulham, he made significant impact as he scored a brace in the few minutes he was on the pitch

The same thing happened against Leicester City because Aubameyang scored another brace in just three minutes after coming on as a substitute

So this kinda of proves that they shouldn't be starting together, one should come as a back up

The Arsenal fans just want to see them start together aside from the tactical disadvantages of that decision, but there are also right because always leaving Aubameyang on the bench will see him lose his confidence which hugely contributes to his performances

I think it all depends on the type of match Arsenal has next because Unai Emery was right to start them together against Liverpool because they have got many attackers too so the boss wanted his team to be similar and also play an attacking game

So what do you prefer, both Aubameyang and Lacazette starting or one coming in as a super subsitute?

English Tutor Nick P Quotes (194) Shakespeare - It is Not in the Stars .... - Duration: 2:12.

Hi this is Tutor Nick P and this is Quotes 194. Today we have another one by

Shakespeare and this is the quote today. "It is not in the stars

to hold our destiny, but in ourselves. " All right. Of course, when Shakespear is

talking about the stars, he's talking about something like astrology. You know,

because a lot of people believe that maybe our our lives are controlled by

forces that are outside and our destiny, or our fate might be set before we actually

are born. So he's saying. No. So let's continue with the, with the, with the note

here. There are many people that look at horoscopes or astrology to get possible

answers about their future. Others may go directly to fortune tellers who may use

many techniques to predict one's future or to give one advice about the future.

Many believe one's fate or destiny is controlled by these forces. What

Shakespeare is trying to tell you with this quote is that there are no answers

there. That's not where you're going to find the answers to be successful in life or

turn around your life, make your life better. That's not where you're going to

find the answers. It is only in oneself. Inside oneself. Yes. One's own

determination, ambition or will to take action is what will decide the direction

and the course of your life. So basically again. He's saying it is not in the stars

to hold our destiny you know, of what will happen to us or you know what we

will what our lives will eventually be like, but in ourselves. That's where you

have to look in order to try to be successful or make yourself better or

make your life better in the future. Okay. Anyway, I hope you got it. I hope it was clear.

Thank you for your time. Bye-bye.

"Life is what one makes of it"| Speech debut on YouTube| Madhusudan Joshi - Duration: 2:28.

Greetings of the day my dear people Madhusudan Joshi here.. smiling frowns and laughing cries only

You know what happens in you the pain the grief time may subdue a sunset and the rise can make it all anew

You are in an ocean already and the waters beyond the blue..swim or sink

You got to decide what happens with you my dear life

What are you? what makes you so magical? so mysterious?so amazing.. and so mesmerizing ..the answer to this

My dear friends can only be answered in perspectives

Everybody has their own version of things and perhaps only you can understand your version value and this is exactly where my whole hog is

Only you can understand your version well

just imagine guys..if Sachin Tendulkar's Father had to tell him ki beta" you'll be a great singer someday"..If Rahul Gandhi's parents had

to convince him ki" bata you'll crack iit someday"..

Then just imagine where these people would be today

Friends life is all about the right choice and not just the right chance

If you have always thought that life has something in store for you. Then I fear you've forgotten to build a warehouse for it

Friends life is seemingly something that you try to make out of it.. the philosophy of life, isn't it?

all sobeautiful

But today what troubles me is that deep red question mark that seems to pop up every time when..

Someone says life is what you make of it, seriously

That CBSCE topper who was harassed that innocent nun was raped by the priest the holy beast

that Noble farmer

Who was buried under the blocks of poverty andthat lil kid whose father was accused and abused by the law

Of court without a clue of proof.. are there any accounts for all of these? Whom do you blame fate? life or destiny?

Friends life is vague

it's certainly not certain but the nobility of human minds lies in the ability of thinking that there's always a way out and

Moreover it's not always about what happens to you. It's also about what you do to overcome the mishappenings

So to sum up life according to me, my dear friends is just a journey and not a destination to reach

So all that you gotta do is to stay calm be wise and give your best while you walk through this journey

be firm with your decisions and just walk through and

Frankly don't think much about life cuz life is just a stream that Springs with the joy of hope and with the belief within oneself

And it is this belief that will guide you along the banks of life. Thank you. Have a great day

Napa and Sonoma Wines of Cru9 | Advocate for Women - Duration: 4:57.

okay so how does the disco Queen from Iowa get into the wine business

it's kind of been an evolution of my business experiences my personal

experiences my dad was a farmer not a vidis vinifera it was more cornice venus

and swine as' but I've always had that love for the land and plants and how

things grow you know it was just that weird evolution of meeting the right

people at the right time and I kind of figured out yeah I like I think this is

what I'm supposed to do I really wanted my business do you have a giving

platform so doing something for other people and that passion for serving

other people needed to go along with the wine in a bit I went to school for

accounting and now I am NOT an accountant so I knew that was not going

to be my skillset and I barely graduated but I went to school back to school and

I got my horticultural degree and so that goes back to the farming and the

plant stuff and the wine you know my mom had health problems when I was a child

and heart issues and so her doctor had her start drinking red wine okay so Iowa

does not well it's better today but back in the day you know we didn't have a lot

of great craft wines so Lancers that brown bottle and that's that's what was

on our table at night my palate developed and then I took my first trip

to California a long time ago has got to be like 15 years ago and it was like

this is amazing and I finally like started drinking better Wine and more

varietals and it just it morphed and so the whole farming aspect and where you

grow the grapes the grapes that I love unfortunately cannot survive the winter

and I so that was not you know it wasn't gonna

be an option to do it back in Iowa um I could do other varietals but they're

just not to my liking and I have to love what I drink and what I'm gonna sell

there you go Here I am so I come from a family of

nine kids I am the ninth and crew I think

everybody knows what crew is it's just a traditional French term and I put a

cheeky twist on it so crew my family my crew of nine and

crew is also translated as growth so it's the growth of nine my evolution my

approach to winemaking it starts with the crop good quality fruit it sets the

stage for everything else you know you cannot turn a sow's ear into a cell

purse you really need to start with quality fruit and so for me that's the

number one rule and I'm also not one to do fads so I make what I like to drink

I'm doing this because it is what I'm passionate about so the shelters that we

sponsor are very core to my company ruies place in Hayward California and

House of Hope and Waterloo Iowa both do wonderful things for survivors of human

trafficking domestic abuse and homelessness and I picked those two

because I've seen survivors come out of that and they are a success their

independence they have children and so you're completely changing someone's

life and I fully I take responsibility like it is my responsibility to help

other people we've we've got a wine club now it's just getting rolling and 10% of

a membership goes to Ruby's place and House of Hope and then if you buy an

additional case out of that or cases out of that that's another 5% so you you

know from that membership you're actually getting 10 to 15% that's going

towards survivors and helping them be independent

and that just makes me sing or dance

What is Winterisation? | Rentalcars.com - Duration: 1:15.

If you're planning on hiring a car in a place like this the chances are the

average car just isn't going to cut it and you're going to need something

called "winterisation". Most of the time a normal rental car is just that; normal. But,

in certain parts of the world at certain times of the year it's necessary for

them to be kitted out to cope with snowy roads and cold conditions and this is

called "winterisation". It often involves fitting winter tires and providing

drivers with snow chains or snow socks. There are other things taken care of as

well such as topping up the windscreen washer fluid and antifreeze, but all of

this is done to make the car as safe as possible for the conditions. In some

countries where they have really harsh winters, it's not just an important

safety procedure it's the law and car rental companies take it really

seriously. In these places the charge is included in your rental and all the hard

work's done before you even get the keys. To learn more about winter tires, snow

chains or snow socks, click here.

bookies commentator Victoria arbiter told Town & Country why Royals choose to

delay the announcement of the name she said on one hand there's a desire to

inform the families before a public declaration is made and any new parent

appreciates having a little private time to get to know their new addition before

the onslaught of announcements she also explained the pressure of a name when it

comes to a Roy family member Royals however also have

to consider the great responsibility in naming a new member of the family and I

BRITAIN'S FOOD??! FISH AND QUIZ!!! and GORDON RAMSAY - Duration: 8:23.

Yo everyone, how are you?

The thing is

I tried to film this walking, but my suitcase made too much noise

What we need to do is

talk about food

My friend Léo, a kiss and a hug for you

He asked me to talk about what people eat around here

So I didn't come to any place, I came to "THE" place

Where there is good and cheap food

that everyone in Newcastle goes to

The Five Swans

The Five Swans

Because if you can put more butter into it, you're going to put more butter into it

As you can see, this was the traditional breakfast here at the UK

To tell you the truth, I've gotten used to it by now, especially with the bacon and the eggs

It's good

It may not be the most healthy food

but it has substance

I paid £3,40

A very good price

especially for students, and for the locals that go there quite often

But now...

we're going to the beach

where I filmed the traditional, impossibly more british food

with my friend Karl

He helped me out on this one

So, let's go

Boy, I got hungry editing this vlog

Before we finish this episode,

I want to show you a special restaurant I went to in London

without further ado

Gordon Ramsay

We're here on Friday the 13th, of April

which is going to be

the most EPIC culinary day of my life

Don't Should on Me: It's not easy being NOT green - Duration: 4:32.

Welcome to Five Moore Minutes. Helpful videos in five minutes or less that

support the teaching and learning of ALL students. I am your host Shelley Moore

and this episode is Don't SHOULD on me!

Today we're going back to the dots. (because I love the dots!) I told you I'm

obsessed with the dots! But our question for today about the dots is, "have you

ever wondered where this idea of green came from. I mean what does it even mean

to be green?! The idea of greenness is a very early concept in education that is

connected to standardization. And to understand standardization in education,

we have to go back to the Industrial Revolution. Way back when, there was a

flood of people moving to cities to work in factories. And to be successful in a

, consistency was the key. The more similar and consistent your workers were,

the more reliable and safe your product was. In a factory setting, the greener the

better! Public education was then created and designed with exactly this idea in

mind, and it recreated conditions in schools, to mimic the conditions in

factories. So when kids became adults, they would have the skills to be

successful factory workers. It makes perfect sense!

It was the demand at the time, and it's quite a smart strategy if you ask me. And

so, schools were created, and students were taught how to be green. They were

taught to do the same thing. To work alone. To sit in rows. To respond to bells...

this is sounding a little familiar. Now I don't know about you, but I was not a very

green child. And I often struggled in school because I wasn't good at any of

those things. I mean, I'm creative, I hate rules, I don't

like working alone, I'm pretty much always late. This is pretty much an

educational recipe for disaster. (I prefer

windows of arrival time) I had difficulty articulating this tension for a really

long time, and I just really thought I was broken. It took me almost until I was

27 to finally realize that it was actually not me that was broken, but I

was trying to exist in a very broken educational system. This happens to so

many of us students and teachers who are still being expected to fit into this

19th century model of society, when we are very much being propelled into the

21st century at warp speed. (I mean kids are born knowing how to double tap)

Education is close to 200 years off the mark, and more and more, kids are

struggling to fit into this archaic system (I'm exhausted just thinking about

it). So if you, like me, grew up as a multicolored three-dimensional unicorn

of twirling love, you also probably struggled in school. You may have also

noticed that you got a few phone calls, received by your mother, that may have

involved this word. SHOULD. This is where Shelley should be. This is what Shelley

should be doing. This is the reading benchmark that Shelley should be reading

at. I was should-ed on to death! Now I saw a t-shirt once that said don't should on me,

and let me tell you, this could be the new slogan of education systems

worldwide! So here's my challenge for you: How would your classroom or school

change if that's all we did? Let's take out the SHOULD. Let's change our question

from: Where should you be? What's wrong with you? To: Where are you now,

and what's your next step? Can you imagine how successful kids would be and

how school would change if that was the language that we used? But in order for

this to happen, we have to do one very important job,

but it's a hard one, because we did not grow up this way. We have to let go of

average. We have to let go of the comparison and the competition, and this

expectation that kids need to be something other than exactly who they

are. And even more, we have to give ourselves permission to do the exactly

the same thing. Because just like there isn't a standard kid there's also no

standardized teacher. Don't SHOULD on yourself either! Well

there you have it! That is today's Five Moore Minutes. How is this useful for you?!

DWDP Stock - Is DowDuPont's Stock a Good Buy - Investment Ideas - Duration: 11:19.

hey YouTube I'm Jimmy in this video I'm gonna walk through my analysis of Dow

DuPont ticker symbol DWDP well that's the ticker for now they're actually in

the middle of breaking up the company but we'll come back to that in a second

this is the tenth video in a series where we're analyzing all 30 stocks in

the Dow Jones Industrial Average we're then going to take that analysis and try

to build a few different great portfolios most likely a dividend

portfolio of value portfolio and a growth portfolio you could see a link to

the playlist in the description below so as I mentioned a moment ago Dow DuPont

is in the middle of a reorganization that's expected to be completed by June

of 2019 so in this video I'm going to focus mostly on what the future will

look like if we'd like to add this company to our portfolio so back in 2017

Dow Chemicals merged with DuPont to form Dow DuPont

well now Dow DuPont is spinning their combined business into three different

businesses first their agriculture business which is going to be called

Corteva Agriscience going forward next is the materials business this is going

to keep the Dow name and then finally the specialty products business well

they're going to keep the DuPont name so as potential investors we have three

primary choices when it comes to DowDuPont's stock first we walk away we

simply say that Dow DuPont stock isn't for us and we don't really like it so we

walk away easy enough second we buy DWDP stock before the spin-off and then we

end up with a piece of all three companies this could be a good move if

there's value in doing it we're gonna spend most of this video focusing on

that and then finally we wait until the spin-off is done and we analyze those

companies then and determine if we want to jump in to any one company now the

timing of this analysis was actually quite lucky because

DWDP just reported earnings so the numbers are quite fresh so in q3 2018

DWDP reported about 20 billion dollars in revenue this brings their

year-to-date numbers to about 65 billion in revenue through the first three

quarters now this is how they break out their revenues by segment the largest

segment is packaging in specialty plastics with about 6 point 1 billion of

revenue the smallest is electronics and imaging

with about 1.2 billion in revenue now let's break these segments into what the

three new businesses will ultimately look like first is agriculture they're

the simplest we can see that agriculture put up about 1.9 billion in revenue in

the last quarter this chart this is the quarterly history of the agriculture

segment we can also see that this is a very seasonal business which makes sense

it being agriculture and what this business does is they sell seeds and

crop protection products so in the third quarter we can see that their most

recent quarter looks like the weakest quarter for them historically while the

first quarter has historically been the strongest but then last year it looks

like q1 was down a bit and q2 was the strongest quarter yet so before I go any

further here's where I'm aiming with the valuation and more generally the DWDP

stock analysis as a whole so we're going to use a valuation method called a sum

of the parts valuation method basically what we do is we look at each segment of

the business and try to value each segment as if it were a standalone

company and then all you really have to do is add up the value of each of those

segments and in theory what we end up with is the value of the business today

now Dow DuPont is perfect for this because well they're actually breaking

up the company so this is really the only realistic way to value the business

but I've also seen analysts use this valuation method on other conglomerates

and basically it takes the assumption that you're buying the stock is if

you're going to take over the business basically what would be worth if you

broke it all up it's a decent valuation method I like using when it works out

when you have enough information to do it in this case we have enough

information so that's what we're aiming for okay going back to the agriculture

business so we know what revenue has been from a quarterly perspective but

when we flip that over to annuals we can see we've only got a couple years

because don't forget it's only been DowDuPont has only been in existence for a

few years so it's a short history but we'll make do with it

now if we add analyst projections for this particular segment here's what it

looks like now to value the business we really need more than just revenue

so luckily Dow DuPont gives us EBITDA and ultimately EBITDA margins

now this Purple Line this is EBITDA margins this includes analyst

projections for EBITDA margins going out the next couple years so now we

could try to calculate the value of this entire company using enterprise value to

EBITDA first thing we need is some competitors so we can see what peer

multiples look like and if you look at companies like Monsanto which is now

part of Bayer and FMC they look like decent peers to use and what we compared

their multiples and margins free cash flow going out the next couple years our

earnings growth things like that it looks like 12x on 2019 enterprise value

is a fair multiple to use now this gives us an enterprise value of a bit of a

thirty nine billion dollars for this segment now we still have to account for

cash and debt before we can come up with a fair value but in our case we can hit

that at the end since we're not a hundred percent sure where there's seven

billion dollars in cash and twenty seven billion dollars and long-term debt is

gonna land which companies are going going to go to for this valuation it's

not going to matter too much for us because we're trying to value DWDP as a

whole so in our case we can just deduct it at the end and that will be just fine

it'll turn out to be about the same so now we're into the materials business

they're going to keep the Dow name okay so here are the original segments again

and these are the segments that are going with the new Dow business this

chart this is the materials business as a whole the revenue history two years in

history three years of projections the Purple Line is once again EBITDA

margins we can see that EBITDA margins are expected to be rather consistent

over the next few years now this business is broken into three sub

segments packaging and specialty plastics they're the largest industrial

intermediaries and infrastructure they're the next largest and then the

performance materials and coatings is the smallest although they're not very

small so now the question is what will this segment be worth what will the

business as a whole be worth when they spin it off now management has stated

that they want to spin this one off first by April 1st of 2019 but they

said that they're striving for EBITDA margins between 23 and 24 percent and

that seems reasonable and since they're expected to have north of 50 billion

dollars in revenue over the next few years it seems that this business is

going to be quite a solid business and it's also interesting to note that

management has stated they expect for this business to pay out forty-five

percent of net income as dividends every year okay so now we need peers, I think

that CE and LYB are reasonable peers to use for this segment now this segment

was a bit trickier than agriculture because where CE competes in the

materials and coatings division and it also competes in the industrial and

infrastructure division well it doesn't compete that heavy in specialty plastics

lyb on the other hand while they compete in specialty plastics and industrial and

infrastructure but they're not that heavy into materials and coatings so I

believe that if we use those two combined numbers then we can come up

with reasonable projections so with that in mind and given the margins and growth

projections it looks like 8x is a reasonable EBITDA multiple to use okay

using an 8x on 2019 expected EBITDA of over eleven billion dollars gives us

an enterprise value north of eighty billion dollars and once again we're

ignoring debt for now so for now let's just jump over to see what DuPont could

be worth du Pont's new businesses will be in the specialty products lines

DuPont will end up with the electronics and imaging division safety and

construction transportation and advanced polymers and nutrition and Biosciences

and as you can see analysts are expecting EBITDA margins to continue

to improve over the next few years okay now just like the materials business the

new DuPont business is going to compete in many different business lines so

we're going to need a few different piers looks like Versum Materials

competes with them 3m is a competitor Honeywell's a competitor and I could

even make a case for CE again so using these companies as competitors I

think it's fair to use a multiple of about 12 X again given the expected

EBITDA of over seven billion dollars in 2019 well that would put their

enterprise value and almost 86 billion dollars okay so let's do some simple

math first we need to subtract net debt net

debt is debt - cash this gives us a fair value of the equity of about 193 billion

dollars divide this number by the shares outstanding of about 2.3 billion shares

outstanding and we end up with a fair value of about $84 per share now from a

research perspective what I do to try to prevent myself from developing a bias

from tilting the numbers as I'm doing a fair value calculation is I try not to

look at their fair at the current market price of the stock until I've completed

my research and the fair value of the stock now if we compare DWDP's current

stock price of about 58 dollars to our 84 dollar calculated value we can see

according to this valuation method this stock is way undervalued now it was

actually quite excited when I first saw this because this could be a good

company to add to each of the portfolio's I'm interested to see what

the new Dow Company, what they pay for a dividend that could land this whole thing in the

dividend portfolio value or we just saw that that's an easy addition to the

value portfolio growth given that the upsides like 45% from here I'd say it

belongs in almost any portfolio assuming we believe in the calculations okay so

now as excited as I am about this valuation and about the business itself

there is a quick word of caution this chart this is the year-to-date

performance of DWDP and although most analysts are excited about the spin-off

and the spin-off news has been around almost the entire year well the market

is acting in the opposite manner by driving the stock price lower now

perhaps the market isn't too happy with call it the lack of clarity from the

company as to what company is going to get the debt what company's going to get

the cash where it's going to go they did recently announce who is going to be

management for different companies but there's still a lot of news to come out

so it might be a bit early and perhaps that is why the stock is trading at such

an enormous gap to what we calculate as fair value my question is what do you

think is DowDuPont worth adding to our portfolios or are we better off waiting

and then picking after the spinoff happen one of those individual companies

8 Strange Things That Can Happen When You Sleep - Duration: 13:07.

eight strange things that can happen

when you sleep the human brain is so

complex that we've never been 100% sure

we understand everything about it even

when they think they have the answer to

something researchers are still cautious

about their findings and this fact

especially applies to the mystery that

is the sleeping brain sure we have a

measured understanding of sleep cycles

thanks to fMRI scans but we still don't

know why certain things happen and when

it comes to sleep syndromes and

phenomena the mystery deepens precisely

because there are no set answers for why

the sleeping brain works when it's

healthy before we begin this video don't

forget to subscribe to our channel for

more daily tips like this and turn on

notifications so you never miss our new

videos now here are eight mysterious

sleep related phenomena some of which

you probably didn't know about number

one hypnagogic jerk

hypnagogic jerk also known as hypnic

jerk sleep start sleep twitch night

start or my clonic jerk occurs when a

person's body twitches as they begin to

fall asleep before you start dreaming

your body is usually paralyzed so it

doesn't act out the dream but on some

occasions

you might start dreaming before your

body is fully unplugged during a

hypnagogic jerk your body might react to

a sudden movement like falling or

tripping like with anything involving

the complexities of the brain

researchers aren't sure why this

happened

[Music]

number two sleep paralysis for centuries

cultures around the world have tried to

explain this phenomenon using

supernatural answers basically it

happens when the mind wakes up during

REM sleep when the body is at its most

relaxed to the point of being paralyzed

but researchers only know when it

happens not why today it's believed that

one in four people will experience sleep

paralysis

symptoms include breathlessness

inability to move or speak a sense of

dread and in some cases hallucinations

sleep paralysis can be extremely

frightening and it occurs when someone

is temporarily unable to speak or move

when they wake up scientists suggest

that sleep paralysis occurs when a

person is passing through the stages of

being awake and being asleep when some

people experience sleep paralysis they

may feel pressure on their chest or even

a sense of choking it can occur when

someone is falling asleep or just as

they are waking up there are many

different factors that may be linked to

sleep paralysis these factors include a

lack of sleep certain mental conditions

the use of certain medications substance

abuse and more if you experience sleep

paralysis you should speak to your

doctor to get to the root of the issue

and find out what is causing your sleep

paralysis your doctor may recommend

adjusting your sleep schedule while

asking specific questions about your

health to rule out the possibility of

any other sleep conditions number three

sleepwalking this disorder involves

waking up in the middle of the night and

doing all sorts of activities it's a

terrifying affliction because the person

doesn't remember that they did it and in

some cases they can hurt themselves the

causes of sleepwalking are a mystery

you're more propensity be a sleepwalker

if it runs in your family but

researchers still don't understand how

or why it originates in the brain have

you experienced any of these strange

sleep related phenomena keep watching

for some even more strange things that

can happen to us while we're asleep

number four sleep talking also known as

somniloquy this is a disorder where

sleeping person talks the things they

say can range from mumbling - shouting -

long and complicated rants like with

most sleep disorders we know when it

happens during the sleep cycle but we

still don't understand what triggers it

other than hereditary reasons

number-5 Nocturnals sleep-related

eating-disorder NS re d also known as

sleep eating this is a type of

sleepwalking that's closely tied to a

person's conscious wants and desires for

food it's considered to be both a sleep

disorder and eating disorder because the

person is fulfilling a desire they

suppress while they're awake like with

sleepwalking the person doesn't realize

they're eating and they can't remember

any of it the next day

nocturnal sleep related eating disorder

is similar to other sleeping disorders

such as restless leg syndrome or even

sleepwalking this sleep disorder most

often begins in a person's 30s and can

be caused by anxiety or extreme stress

although scientists are still unable to

determine the underlying causes sleep

clinics which have studied this disorder

state that this nighttime eating usually

occurs during Delta sleep which is a

deep sleep which occurs right before REM

sleep begins number 6 night terror the

difference between a night terror and a

nightmare is that a night terror

involves specific actions night terrors

involve screaming panic sleepwalking and

thrashing around on the bed like most

sleep disorders it's believed to be

congenital however no one understands

why it happens other than the fact that

it gets inherited and it's mostly

children who experience it there are

many different symptoms associated with

night terrors in children common

symptoms include shouting quickened

heartbeat and breathing thrashing

sweating and more night terrors occur

why a person is in a deep sleep

the person experiencing the night

terrors does not usually have any memory

of the night terror the next day night

terrors are not dreams but are rather a

sudden reaction to a person's

experiences as he or she transitions

from one stage of sleep to another stage

of sleep night sweats typically occur

roughly two to three hours after a

person has fallen asleep this is when

sleep moves from non REM sleep to

lighter

REM sleep this transition from non REM

sleep to lighter

REM sleep is usually a smooth transition

however in cases where a person

experiences night terrors he or she can

become extremely frightened during this

transition

resulting in night terrors night terrors

occur in only about 3 to 6 percent of

children things that can cause night

terrors include stress not enough sleep

adapting to a new sleep environment

certain medications and more although

there is no treatment for night terrors

there are certain things parents can do

to try to prevent them this includes

reducing a child stress creating a

relaxing bedtime routine ensuring a

child is getting enough rest and more

although adults can experience night

terrors they are more common in children

if you or your child begins to

experience night terrors speak to your

doctor to find out what may be causing

the night terrors and what you can do to

prevent them number 7

exploding head syndrome this painless

syndrome involves a person hearing an

explosive noise before they fall asleep

it can sometimes feel like an explosion

is taking place inside the person's head

it's considered a type of sleep disorder

and an unusual type of hallucination

that happens to people who are in

between being asleep and awake the

causes are unknown

scientists are unsure what causes

exploding head syndrome although some

suggest that it is possible that it's

associated with minor temporal lobe

seizures some scientists also theorize

that exploding head syndrome may be

caused by shifts of middle ear

components other causes of exploding

head syndrome include stress or anxiety

when a person experiences an attack they

do not feel any pain but may experience

shortness of breath due to their

increased heart rate some people also

state that they see flashes of bright

light during an episode exploding head

syndrome most commonly affects people

over the age of 50 number 8 out-of-body

experience

OBE while this isn't a sleep disorder

it's still interesting to note an OBE

involves the feeling of floating or

observing one's body from the outside

out-of-body experiences are unrelated to

sleep disorders researchers classify it

as a disassociative experience with a

psychological and neurological cause it

has nothing to do with the spirit

leaving the body and it's most likely

due to a temporary brain malfunction

Hines 2003 the human body is a

mysterious and often puzzling thing

sometimes our bodies do things that we

just can't explain and when we're

sleeping we're in our most vulnerable

States

there are all sorts of odd things that

our bodies can do while we're sleeping

some of these things can be explained

while others not so much from

sleepwalking to sleep talking to

out-of-body experiences and everything

in between there is quite an air of

mystery about what is going on in our

brains when we are sleeping it can be a

little bit terrifying and even creepy to

think about but as modern technology and

medicine evolves maybe we'll be able to

get some answers to these questions if

you notice that your sleeping patterns

have changed or that you have developed

a sleeping disorder but are not sure

what is causing it speak to your doctor

try to reduce the amount of caffeine you

drink and make sure that you are getting

adequate rest every night remember our

bodies need rest sleep rejuvenates us

and helps us recover after a long day if

you notice any strange changes to your

sleep cycle speak to your doctor about

what you can do to get it back on track

what strange things have you done while

you are asleep let us know in the

Choosing a target audience is hard - how can we do it better? (Studio Sessions, Episode 6) - Duration: 6:56.

To know more about our audience, we need to do research.

And, if we intend to talk to millions of people

this research can cost a lot of money and take a long time,

especially when involving different countries and different culture at the same time.

In this video we will see how audiences are analysed to get a solid

understanding of what exists in the field already.

The next video will dig into how to do that for own organisation.

A year ago Chatham House and Canta Public survey

asked questions to 10,000 people in Europe to understand

where they would be on the spectrum of "EU rejectors" to "Federalists",

how they would approach the European idea, and they came up with six segments of

the population and how these people reacted.

The research itself is extremely interesting

because 10,000 people is quite an interesting sample of what happens in Europe.

I decided to analyse these audiences in six segments from a strategic point of view.

On the left spectrum, non-voters or anti-EU

people who reject the idea of the European Union. They could decide to reject it by not

going to vote because they don't agree with the legitimacy of having an

election, or they could decide to vote for anti-EU parties.

These people cannot be touched,

we cannot change their idea any more about the European elections

they're already convinced about their own reason and opinions.

But, just after them, a big segment that could be convinced are hesitant Europeans or

austerity rebels, people who might decide to go to vote for anti-EU parties, might

decide to not go vote, or decide to go vote for one party that agrees with them,

and these people are interesting because they almost represent a majority of the voters.

These people could be very strategic

in order to increase participation in the European elections.

On the right side we find swing-voters,

Swing-voters are people who are frustrated but could be interested

in the voting process, and, they could decide that their frustration is

actually higher and they will not participate, but these are people we can

still have as target audiences

as a European institution to increase the number of voters.

Finally on the right, not so strategic audiences

people who are already interested by the idea,

content Europeans, and on the completely right part of the spectrum, Federalists,

people who will go to vote anyway. So, if you're a European institution and you really

focus on this different segment, the one you have to avoid talking to because you

will lose money for no good results are the actual super served audiences.

The people who've been so convinced by the EU idea that they don't need additional

messages and communication to go to the next step, and the one just left of them

the contented Europeans might be the same case. The problem with most of the

institutional communication we have is that we continue to serve superserved audiences.

I recently work with a large Museum of Science in Europe and they

completely decided to stop talking to people who already like science and

already visit museums, because our mission is to convince more people to

visit exhibitions, not to talk to the same ones over and over again.

Audiences are divided into two big determinants, we create demographic data

or we create psychographic data. Demographic data like age, gender,

education, all these things we know how to classify groups of peopleinto, are interesting.

We create big blocks of audiences.

But, psychographic data are much more interesting.

Let me dig into the New York Times way of classifying

their audiences. They start with demographic data: young versus old people,

male versus female. This is a classification of actually all the

readers of this type of newspaper in the US. If I go on to another classification,

rich versus poor, or level of education, you add a compliment to your

targeting, but it's not yet enough to know how to talk to these people correctly,

so that it will connect with them.

The third classification is actually much more focused on people's ideology.

Their political sensitivities, and this is where you enter with psychographic data already

because the sensitivities of anyone on the planet are linked to much grander

idea of who you are and how you express yourself.

It relates to your hobbies, it relates to your friends, it relates to

who you would invite to a party at your place, all these things which are much

more granular, much more qualitative. A good targeting actually takes into context

the demographic data for creating big blocks, but in order to create messages

it takes much more context from psychographic data.

For the New York Times, ideology and political leaning are the main determinants.

I created a small visualization of what I mean by political leaning and, particularly in

this case for college graduates against people who might not have the chance to

go to college, and in the US that's a huge distinction because you acquire a

lot of your taste because you can go to college, and you see that the

New York Times has a massive readership of a majority of people went to college.

It doesn't mean that everyone did, but a large proportion of them,

while Fox News would only have 24% of their viewership who has been to college,

and as I said, it's even quite interesting to see the two different images of this

same woman who would be classified in demographics with the same age and same

maybe localisation, you see that they dress already completely differently.

So, we have for each newspaper, each media in the world, a very strong knowledge of

their target audiences because people have been purchasing or viewing the

program for years, so we need this sort of data. Demographics are the starting

point to classify a target audience, but psychographics is what offers

communicants the right granularity of information

so that you can actually communicate with people.

So what does it mean for the European elections?

Well, I cannot really answer that question without understanding you better,

and I propose that you send your comments at the bottom of this video

answering these four questions: what does your organisation do on the daily basis?

Who do you help thanks to your mission?

Why do you help these people in particular?

And finally, who do you miss to complete your mission?

If you can answer very quickly in one paragraph these four questions, I assure

you I will take the time to see with you, who your target audience is,

and how we could eventually refine it and where to find data points

so you can create a better communication plan the next time.

Thank you very much for your attention and see you next week.
