The Power of Music To Reduce Stress
The soothing power of music is well-established
It has a unique link to our emotions
so can be an extremely effective stress management tool.
Listening to music can have a tremendously relaxing effect
on our minds and bodies
especially slow, quiet classical music.
This type of music can have a beneficial effect on our physiological functions
slowing the pulse and heart rate
lowering blood pressure,
and decreasing the levels of stress hormones.
As music can absorb our attention
it acts as a distraction at the same time
it helps to explore emotions
This means it can be a great aid to meditation
helping to prevent the mind wandering.
Musical preference varies widely between individuals
so only you can decide what you like and what is suitable for each mood.
But even if you don't usually listen to classical music
it may be worth giving it a try
when selecting the most calming music.
When people are very stressed
there is a tendency to avoid actively listening to music
Perhaps it feels like a waste of time
not helping to achieve anything.
But as we know,
productivity increases when stress is reduced,
so this is another area where you can gain vast rewards
It just takes a small effort to begin with
To incorporate music into a busy life,
try playing CDs in the car,
or put the radio on when in the bath or shower.
Take portable music with you when walking the dog
or put the stereo on instead of the TV.
Singing (or shouting) along
can also be a great release of tension
and karaoke is very enjoyable
for some extroverts!
Calming music before bedtime
promotes peace and relaxation and helps to induce sleep.

Rihanna Demands Trump Stop Playing Her Music at His 'Tragic Rallies' – Gets Ruthless Response - Duration: 4:56.
Donald Trump has another Hollywood foe coming after him.
This time, it's pop star Rihanna, who has the same beef with the president that Steven
Tyler, frontman of the world famous Aerosmith band, had a couple months ago.
Just like Tyler, Rihanna doesn't like Trump playing her song at his massive rallies, which
there has been quite a few of in the final days before the midterms.
Perhaps she's just really jealous that he can fill a stadium ten times more full that
her concerts can and she's really just trying to capitalize off of his attention.
Of course, she'd never admit that, even though her jealousy seemed to show when she
called his enormous events "tragic."
Rihanna got wind that her song "Don't Stop the Music" had played at Trump's
Tennessee and pitched a fit.
She demanded that he not use her music at any of his rallies and was immediately hit
with a ruthless response to her whining.
Hours before President Trump took the stage at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga
on Sunday night, Rihanna's "Don't Stop the Music" reverberated through the 11,000-seat
McKenzie Arena.
"Trump's rallies are unlike anything else in politics," The Washington Post's Philip
Rucker wrote on Twitter, where he described the scene: staff members throwing Trump T-shirts
into the crowd "like a ball game," lines stretching out the doors.
"Keep on rockin' to it," Rihanna's recorded voice sung out.
"Please don't stop the, please don't stop the, please don't stop the music."
But when the pop star learned that her 2007 hit song had been featured at the rally, her
response was unambiguous: She did, in fact, want the music to stop.
"Not for much longer," she tweeted, in response to Trump using her song.
"… me nor my people would ever be at or around one of those tragic rallies."
The Barbadian singer can't vote in the United States but has made no secret of her political
leanings: She has been a vocal critic of the president.
Last year, she called him an "immoral pig" after he signed an executive order banning
citizens of seven majority-Muslim countries from entering the United States in January
2017 and criticized his response to Hurricane Maria's devastation in Puerto Rico.
Weeks before the 2016 election, Rihanna was spotted wearing a T-shirt with a photograph
of Hillary Clinton's face screenprinted on it.
After Trump's inauguration, she showed up at the Women's March in New York in a pink
sweatshirt and matching tutu and dabbed in front of Trump Tower.
The answer is complicated.
When a politician wants to use a song as background music at a rally, their campaign needs a public
performance license from the copyright holder of the musical composition, rather than one
from the recording artist, intellectual property lawyer Danwill Schwender explained in a 2017
article in "American Music," a scholarly journal published by the University of Illinois
Press.
Radio and TV ads are another story — the owner of the sound recording, typically the
artist's label, will need to license the song to the campaign.
In the United States, the copyrights for most musical compositions belong to one of two
performance rights organizations: The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers
(ASCAP) or Broadcast Music Inc.
(BMI), which administer 23.5 million songs between them.
In 2012, BMI created a separate license for political entities, Schwender wrote, which
allows musicians to opt out if they don't want their songs used at rallies.
ASCAP has a similar provision in place, according to NPR.
Musicians from Adele to Neil Young have requested that Trump stop playing their songs at his
campaign stops, and some have taken advantage of that clause.
In October 2015, Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler demanded that the Trump campaign stop
playing "Dream On" at rallies, and BMI pulled public performance rights for the song.
(Trump's Aug. 21 rally in Charleston, W. Va., featured Aerosmith's "Livin' On
the Edge," prompting another cease-and-desist letter from Tyler.)
Similarly, after the Republican National Convention licensed Queen's "We Are the Champions"
in 2016, the band chose to exclude the song from being used for future political events.

Where are you now,
darling?
I hope you feel ashamed
It don't seem to bother you?
That I feel all the blame
You can keep my head pinned
And I can't escape
From your clutches,
darling
If I'm asleep or if I'm awake
Can you hear me calling?
Calling out your name
Can you hear me darling?
I can't refrain
I wish I was a traveller
A traveller of time
So I could erase
The pain you caused inside
Yeah, before it gets better
It's going to get a whole lot worse
Here's to hoping
I can lift this deadly curse
Can you hear me calling?
Calling out your name
Can you hear me darling?
I can't refrain
No, I can't refrain
Now that we have spoken
You took some of the blame
You'll go on knowing
I still
love you
the same

Rihanna & Axl Rose Slam President Trump For Using Their Music At Rallies - Duration: 5:27.
Hé lions, what's up
President Trump Slammed by Rihanna
and Axl Rose for Using Their Music At Rallies
First of all
shout out to Jade Mahogany
Her new music video is available in the music corner
at lionsground.com
Lions Ground supports indie artists
and they get free publicity
add a link in the video description below
If you want to send your music
You can do that
But remember
for independent artists only
It will happen to you
An artist does not want you to play
their music for political reasons
Which I can understand because I'm not a Trump fan.
However, This happened exactly with Donald Trump
Rihanna prohibits Trump for playing her music at political events
In a video during one of his rallies
rallies you hear the song "Don't Stop The Music"
while Trump is exiting his plane
Rihanna is not amused
and immediately drew a red line
and writes clear language on Twitter
She clearly states
that she and her people don't support Trump
Trump's also opted for Aerosmith's "Dream On"
and "Livin 'on the Edge"
Steven Tyler of Aerosmith
points to the Lanham Act
Trump would give a false impression that artists support him
Axl Rose talks about the unauthorized use of their music
and should not be used in Trump events
Other artists prohibit that their music is being played
at political events
artists such as Neil Young and Adele
Well, the question is. Can Trump play music or not?
Who is right and who is wrong?
It is understandable
that artists don't want to give the impression
that they support a certain political party
in this case, Donald Trump
But morality is not written in the law
and is absolutely not the law
When you play music in public
than we talk about music performance
Royalties must be paid
that eventually ends up with the artist
they, the organizations, talk or refer to members
The payouts are made by organizations such as
ASCAP
or BMI
and Rihanna is an ASCAP member
This means she receive money from them
This means that she or her spokesperson
has agreed that all "music users" can play their music
regardless of the nature of the location or event
This can be at the butcher
but also during political events
If you like it or not
Then Steven Tyler of Aerosmith
He refers to the Lanham Act
which prohibits any false designation
or misleading description
or representation of fact
Because Donald Trump plays music
and nothing more
there is no question of deception
If you say something you have to prove it
Playing music is not proof
that people are misled
that the performer of the song supports Trump
However
However, it has also become apparent
that there is no evidence
that Trump claims in words or in written
that artists support him
Music is used in politics
to bring a certain message
a statement
Take for example "Born in the USA" by Bruce Springsteen
So conclusion
The artists are required
to stop blocking Trump's music choice
as long as the royalties are being paid
By prohibiting Trump we're talking about favoritism
There is also something called political freedom
a concept that protects us against
freedom from oppression
Beware, dislike is not equal to forbidding someone
But an artist can express himself or herself about this
Expressing something is not the same as forbidding something
And for that reason
Donald Trump can play music in public
without any oppression
With this
I prove people wrong I'm anti-trump
I am not left
not right
but straightforward
Before I forget
share this video to support my work
If you're new to Lions Ground
hit the red subscibe button
followed up with the grey bell icon
If you don't
you miss the whole thing
I'll see you in the next video

25 years of Y-E-N - Our Y-E-N story - Duration: 6:37.
So, Us !
We met in 2001 during a seminar that we called the "Pink Bus"
but that was probably called differently... but I don't remember...
The mobile seminar?
It was a mobile seminar yes! But it was called something like "From Exclusion to Inclusion"
I don't remember!
And yes, it was a mobile seminar. It started and finished in Munich, Germany
And we drove through some central countries and some of the Balkan countries
And we would stop in some places
To visit structures that worked on the topic of Inclusion
Among the memories I have of that mobile seminar, I remember this big bus without any seats in the middle
This bus was our home
We would sleep there, we would juggle
We would tell stories to each other, we would sing songs
We would talk about young people in Europe...
I made beautiful memories there, of magical moments!
It was my first international experience
And after it, I never stopped and made it my job
It was the starting point of my professional path
And then, we also met there, PJ and I!
Our relationship started in Ljubljana (Slovenia)
In Metelkova (alternative cultural centre)
We went back to this place after, before we had our little girl
We went on holidays around there and so we made a stop there
Another thing I remember from this seminar was this group of participants
that was kind of magical, and also the team of trainers who were with us
during this project. So, Fabrice was there with us,
and then I remember Dadou, a big thought goes to him
and his wife Cathy
And Bjorn and Charlotte
This meeting was true, beautiful and important, it created something
for both of our lives
Because it marked the start of our carriers in the international field
Yes! Well, for me it's the same, I share the same memories! Because I was there!
It was... It started... I remember I travelled with Eva, a friend from Belgium
It was Jo Claeys, who was part of the Board at the time,
He had contacted me and said to me: "It will be awesome! An amazing project!"
"It's in a bus and you'll do a lot of amazing stuff, and the people will be awesome"
So I said "Okay! Let's do it!"
Then, yes, we made friends there
We still see 5-6 of the people regularly
People we kept contact with
And it was my first project as well
and I got in contact with people who were part of Y-E-N
or also ENOA, which was starting as an European network during those years
and for which I worked until... well until this week actually, we closed ENOA
Officially as a matter of fact
Beautiful encounters, both personally and professionally
that deeply changed me
A lot of things happened within the projects, after the bus seminar
After the seminar, we took part in a youth exchange on a barge
Then after this project on a boat
We continued organising mobile projects. One of them in Romania
With Eugen, who is still part of Y-E-N, big hug to him
It was called "Romanimation", and we left in wooden caravans
We would go from village to village, in Romania, and organise street animations
Which was the same topic of the boat project
"Through public space animations,
how to create social links between the youth and the local community and create citizenship spaces
Those were projects that meant a lot to us and that were born from this mobile seminar
Yes, since then we have been doing serious stuff !
And then, some months later, PJ and I met again on a ENOA project
which was starting, and in a way was also a Y-E-N baby actually
because it formed an opportunity
for people who had taken part in international projects
to try out their skills and get experience in a networking space
And this was a truly beautiful experience for us,
and thanks to this project, everything started
It really was the beginning for us in this field
So, for all of this: Thank you Y-E-N!
For having given us the opportunity of participating in this project
For helping us to meet each other
and so, in a way, for our beautiful daughter too!
Because, Lena... we didn't call her Y-E-N
but we almost could have called her Y-E-N, because after all, she is a Y-E-N baby
*Happy Birthday to Y-E-N*
*Happy Birthday to Y-E-N*
*Happy Birthday dear Y-E-N*
*Happy Birthday to Y-E-N*
Blow the candles? *Blowing the candles*
Yes!! Bravo Y-E-N! And Thank you!

Axl Rose Slams Trump: Stop Using Our Music At Your Rallies — He's 'Obscene' - Daily News - Duration: 3:41.
Donald Trump has made yet another enemy in entertainment: Axl Rose. The Guns N' Roses frontman called out the president on Twitter for using his music, letting him know he's not a MAGA member! Looks like Guns N' Roses is taking a cue from Rihanna
Axl Rose, the frontman of the legendary metal band, has become the latest musician to call out President Donald Trump for using his music without permission at his events
Axl addressed Trump on Twitter, saying that while he's cool with him being a GNR fan, he can't support his "obscene" administration
"As far as I'm concerned anyone can enjoy GNR 4 whatever reason n' there's truth 2 the saying 'u can't choose your fans' n' we're good w/that… Having said that my personal position is that the Trump administration along w/the majority of Republicans in Congress n' their donors that support him 4 their own agendas r doing r nation a disservice," Axl tweeted
"We have an individual in the WH that will say n' do anything w/no regard for truth, ethics, morals or empathy of any kind, who says what's real is fake n' what's fake is real… "Who will stop at nothing 4 power feeding off the anger n' resentment he sows 24/7 while constantly whining how whatever doesn't go his way is unfair," he continued
"Most of us in America have never experienced anything this obscene at this level in r lifetimes n' if we as a country don't wake up n' put an end 2 this nonsense now it's something we definitely will all pay hard 4 as time goes on
" Axl's condemnation comes as quite a surprise, considering some of GNR's controversial lyrics that seem to align with Trump
We won't reprint the vulgar "One In A Million" lyrics (you can read them here, if you want), which describe how immigrants coming to the United States are *expletives* that turn the country into a "mini Iran"… among other things
So, this is a definitely a turnaround for the singer. No word yet on what Slash and the other guys think of Trump
Having said that my personal position is that the Trump administration along w/the majority of Republicans in Congress n' their donors that support him 4 their own agendas r doing r nation a disservice
— Axl Rose (@axlrose) November 4, 2018 Most of us in America have never experienced anything this obscene at this level in r lifetimes n' if we as a country don't wake up n' put an end 2 this nonsense now it's something we definitely will all pay hard 4 as time goes on
— Axl Rose (@axlrose) November 4, 2018 Rihanna's made it clear in the past that she doesn't support Trump, and was livid yesterday when a reporter let her know that he was using "Please Don't Stop The Music" at his rallies
"Not for much longer…me nor my people would ever be at or around one of those tragic rallies, so thanks for the heads up philip!" she responded
Pharrell Williams recently sent Trump a cease and desist for using "Happy" without permission at his rallies, as well
He was also slammed by HBO and Game of Thrones' cast for using a slogan from the show to make a (truly terrible) meme
Trump also lost his biggest ally in the entertainment industry, Kanye West.

pack your bags
old lover
'cause I've been thinking of ya
as I fall through the hours
and I slip through the days
now the days are not ours
I waste away
but if I just keep on singing
maybe I can sing my heart out
and I just keep on writing
maybe I can write you out
of me
but how long will it
be
until
you leave?
butterflies
still flutter in my stomach
every time
I see your name
oh, what a shame
'cause now there's someone here waiting for me
and it's hard to explain
that it's you, only you I need
but if I just keep on singing
maybe I can sing my heart out
and I just keep on writing
maybe I can write you out
of me
but how long will it
be
there's someone waiting for
me
so how long will it
be
until you leave?
