Is PTE easier or IELTS? So sánh PTE và IELTS - Duration: 6:00.

hi guys welcome back to my channel my name is Moni from PTE magic

Today's quick video will be dedicated to all current IELTS test takers who are very

curious about the main differences between Pte and IELTS

to help you to make a wiser choice in terms of which one is easier or which

one is better I'm going to go through some comparison

of both tests but before I do that please don't forget to click subscribe button

at the bottom so that you can stay updated for more videos about PTE Tips &

Tricks on the one hand PTE is accepted by thousands of different universities

worldwide including putable one like Harvard Business School as well as

accepted for the visa purposes in Australia and New Zealand

IELTS is accepted for both study and migration by many english-speaking

countries including UK the US Canada Australia and New Zealand obviously in

this case IELTS is the winner because it opens the door to so many different opportunities

however if you you know pathway it's just about getting your visa in

Australia of study in Australia or New Zealand then PTE will be a good option too

PTE is a computerized tests so you'll be doing the test with a headset as well as

typing on the keyboard, IELTS on the other hand is a standard pen and paper

based exam

Recently IELTS also offers the computer option

in terms of fees are

both are quite similar in most countries like in Australia its $340 in some countries

like Vietnam PTE is cheaper which is only 165 US dollars

The total time for both tests is around 3 hours both of them contain 4 modules which are

listening reading speaking and writing in IELTS listening reading and writing

are conducted in one sitting for speaking it's normally on the same day

or otherwise it might be scheduled after 7 days prior or after the other test

meanwhile in PTE all the 4 modules are conducted in one sitting on the same

day

normally IELTS test dates are offered four times

in a month making a total of 48 fixed test dates in one year but in PTE as I

mentioned in my previous video you can actually do it pretty much every day in

some test centres, you have choice to book from Monday to Sunday and

also the different timings that you can do in the morning afternoon or evening

this is very helpful for those who are not early birds

IELTS you can preview result 13 days after the test and the result will remain online for 28 days

In PTE the result comes within 5 business days and in some cases it might

be available on the same day

in terms of scoring IELTS has a band range from 0

to 9, while PTE it is from 10 to 90

in IELTS there will be a trained and experienced

examiner who will be conducting a face-to-face interview speaking section

and also in writing there will be an examiner who will be actually reading

your essays and giving a score for that, on the other hand assessment for PTE is

automated and it's done by your computer which means that there will be no

examiner actually physically reading your answers or listening to your

speaking or checking analyzing your writing it will be done 100% by our

computer a lot of people actually prefer these options because all the PTE tests

are marked by one software which means that there will be less chance of bias

in IELTS all the modules are assessed separately so you're getting separated

scores for listening reading writing and speaking and they're not related to each

other but in petite they are into language means that by doing one section

you can also receive the score for the other one for example if you do speaking

part you can also receive score in listening and meeting

these are the different nature of both tests some people find IELTS easier and

some people prefer to do Pte

if you're stressed or nervous to talk to an actual

examiner or if you feel scared or when someone is marking your essay you can go

for PTE because there's no physical interaction and its just you and the

computer, and the computer will assess your performance during and after the

test another very interesting point is that many IELTS test takers find the

writing models the most challenging and the one that is the hardest to get 8

or 9 but if we look at PTE there is a higher number of students who are able

to get 90 out of 90 in writing

just remember that both of them are standard

English proficiency tests and were designed by the most experienced and

knowledgeable experts in the field

at the end of the day you're the one who is

making decision and the decision should be based on different factors including

your deadlines, your background, your target, so for instance if you have a

weak background you can go for IELTS first but if you need above an 8.0, PTE might be a

wise option for you

I hope this video was helpful and I will be uploading more

videos about PTE and IELTS so please don't forget to click

subscribe button and thank you so much for watching

I Risked My Life So You Could See This: Part Three - Duration: 5:44.

If you've seen on Twitter by now you know that I've had some unforeseen

difficulties, and you know, in science we try to make predictions and hypotheses

but sometimes things still don't go quite as we expect them to.

it's been almost 14 hours and my carbon dioxide levels have climbed steadily my

second CO2 meter just rolled over to 10,000 parts per million which means

that it can't even read values higher than that so I won't know what the CO2

is in here which means that it's the final part of this. this is my friend

Mark he is a paramedic and I think he is glad to see that this experiment is

almost over. okay so obviously there are many things

that are different from my ecosystem in this jar to the real ecosystem outdoors

planet Earth but one of the biggest differences that I care about is this

because when something goes wrong in here I can just cut my way out and

that's what I'm going to do yeah I feel my heart rate just yeah it's my heart

rate is 105 BPM the air is like wonderfully thin and fluid II not just like this

thick mass. yeah, that's good. before I started this whole experiment I really

took the air for granted I just you know went about my daily life and

literally saw through the thing that is keeping all of us alive. we are immersed

in this fluid that we don't seem to notice and it makes a big difference in

terms of how we interact with it because we're not managing it very well. we are

emitting carbon dioxide and a ton of other air pollutants and those are

contributing to things like climate change and

if we don't do something now about those issues then we're gonna be in serious

trouble. Now before I say anything else I need to thank my family and friends for

looking after me and taking care of me while I was in there and especially I

want to thank my brother and sister-in-law Greg and Kasia for letting me

do all of this on their property and also I want to thank my patrons from

Patreon - all of you are wonderful and help made this possible,

so thanks. In this experiment the real danger was that carbon dioxide levels

would get too high for me and on Earth which is also a closed ecosystem we also

have an issue with rising carbon dioxide levels heat from sunlight is getting

into our atmosphere and carbon dioxide is keeping it there and as CO2 levels

rise global temperatures continue to rise they've gone up nearly a full one

degree Celsius since the turn of the previous century and they could go up

another six degrees by the end of this one the World Health Organization

predicts that climate change will cause 5 million deaths by the year 2050 this

is a big deal scientists have already gathered the data and have come to a

consensus about the results humans are causing climate change it's our fault

and so it's us that has to do something about it if I had managed to stay inside

of here for just 24 hours then my exhales would have emitted about 700

grams of carbon dioxide now how far can you drive before you emit that much co2

it's about one kilometer and keep it in mind that I couldn't even last in there

for 14 hours now what's worse than that is that it is so inefficient to feed and

raise livestock that it takes just one bite of steak to create that much

carbon dioxide that's a lot so here's why I made this whole project here's why

I put my life literally at risk it's to tell you and ask you to do three things

the first is that we need to eat less meat so go meatless on Mondays and try

to cut out your meat consumption and number two is we need to drive less so

whether that's taking one commute off from your car and carpooling or even

better biking or walking or just working from home you can crawl to work whatever

you need to do we need to do something about this and number three is that we

need to start a conversation so I'm asking you to share this and share this

message and say what you're going to do because we all need to get involved and

take action if this is gonna happen climate change is happening what are you

going to change in your life. thank you for watching.

"Ja, was soll ich sagen?

Why one mom's emotional 'Sesame Street' set visit was so meaningful - Duration: 5:18.

My first word wasn't "mama" or "dada" – two very common and almost expected phrases children repeat over and over when learning to speak

No, my first word was "cookie"… as in Cookie Monster from the renowned PBS children's program "Sesame Street

" Suffice to say that Grover, Big Bird, Oscar the Grouch, and the entirety of the "Sesame Street" gang were a staple in my home growing up, but they've been part of my mother's life for much, much longer

I grew up listening to my mom, Heather, relay happy memories of mornings spent in front of the family television, desperately wanting to know how she could one day get to Sesame Street

As she recalls, it was her escape from reality, and she wholeheartedly believes the singing fuzzy puppet monsters were vital in teaching her the fundamentals of how to be a good person

Now an early childhood educator, she uses "Sesame Street" to teach children, as she says, "the basic essentials of being a good human

" So, when my parents made plans to visit me in New York City last month, I knew I had to find a way for my mom to get to Sesame Street

Luckily, I have a friend who works for the show, who was able to arrange a special, behind-the-scenes tour

To up the ante, I kept it a secret from my mother, telling her only that I had a surprise for her

On a chilly Thursday in late October, I met my parents near Central Park and we caught a taxi to Queens, where the show is filmed

We arrived at Kaufman Studios and went through a security check point, further confusing my already-perplexed mother, before we headed to the lobby to wait for our tour guide to arrive

Once we boarded the elevator, I told my mom she's about to have one of her lifelong dreams fulfilled: We're going to Sesame Street

She immediately burst into tears. We walked into the production offices to hang up our coats and, as she continued to try and catch her breath, she immediately became the center of attention in the room

Everyone was enamored with her pure, unadulterated reaction and we quickly acquired an entourage to accompany us to the studios

The rest of the experience was mostly a blur of happy tears and adrenaline. Even staff members from the show were crying while watching her react and discover everything around her

I'm still surprised my mom didn't faint when we walked in to see the iconic brownstone steps, sat in Big Bird's over-sized nest, or when the Cookie Monster made a surprise visit just to give her a hug

My mom is the kindest, most selfless person I know. She is constantly going above and beyond to make sure that everyone around her has a bit of "rainbows and unicorns and sparkles" in their lives and has created so much magic for me throughout my life

Since my original Twitter thread with videos and photos of the experience was picked up by the "Sesame Street" account, the post has been circulated more and more

My mom told me, "Everyone's response has made her cry all over again." In a world surrounded by so much negativity, she was really touched to see that the show meant so much to so many other people, and that she was able to spread some "unicorns and rainbows and sparkles" to others
