Youtube daily we Apr 1 2017

Alright guys this is coach Adrian and

this is another Brute Shoot. Today we're

going to talk about muscle soreness and

I know you get it and I know you get it

and I know that I get it, so we all get

it. Muscle soreness is something that is

going to be a natural byproduct of our

training right. As a gym manager, as a

head coach, this is a conversation that I

have particularly with a lot of new

athletes understanding what muscle

soreness is, what it should be and what

it shouldn't be when we should take off

days, when we should try to persevere

through that muscle soreness and we're

going to discuss just a little bit of

that today I'm going to try to cover a

really basic layer of things to consider

and ways to process it and then we're

gonna actually have our own, very own,

Nick Fowler go ahead and execute a

knowledge bomb specifically for all you

guys that want to geek out nerd on

exactly what muscle soreness is and how

to deal with it from the scientific

level so today we're going to address a

few things one clearly everyone gets

sore right like you're always banged up

there's something going on specifically

we're talking about muscle soreness so

it's like hey after I've done X amount

of air squats the previous stage and I

glutes my hands things in my quads are

so blown up i'm so sore I feel like I

have to put my hands on the toilet when

I sit down right we're describing that

kind of muscle soreness now understand

that it's a natural byproduct of

training and actually something that if

we never experienced we're never going

to truly progress right and so when

we're in the gym we're actually setting

ourselves back, we're digging a deficit

right so there's that catabolic approach

to training that's actually breaking our

muscle tissue in our body down. When we go

home, when we rest, when we eat and we

sleep when we take that you know

post-workout recovery shake that all you

guys are super excited about each day.

Those are things that help our body

become more anabolic and actually build

back into or into what we're trying to

progress towards right it's going to

help us gain lean body tissue, it's going

to help us gain that strength,

without the proper recovery you can

always be walking around in this catabolic

state we're constantly breaking down

muscle tissue and never seeing proper

gains. So understand that if you're

feeling it, it's actually a good thing

and we want that. Now the trick is we

just don't want too much of it and at a

particular amount of time so what I mean

by that is if you notice that like

you're so sore and you start to

experience maybe even some some swelling

to a particular area or it's very tender

to the touch

and maybe like you normally have abs

right in your abs look a little blurred

like that kind of muscle soreness is

something that you have to err on the

side of caution with, especially if

you're like an experienced CrossFit

experiencing something like this make sure

you're drinking tons of water and make

sure that your training the next day is

at a very very low intensity almost like

an active rest day right now they're

going to be days where you're sore to

the touch and you're sore to the point

where you're like I don't do their

squats yesterday, my butts sore, my hammies

hurt and I don't know if I should

actually come in and back squat today and

that's going to be up to you as

individual, right? You got to be mindful

of one if after a proper warm-up will

you still feel this way and what I do with

a lot of my athletes as I have to

encourage them to come into the gym I

personally think motion is lotion. So

that means when you guys step into the

gym and you're feeling all stiff and

sore you may have a desk job that you've

been sitting down all day long. You might

not realize that you're that sore until

you show up at the gym but after you get to

that 15-20 minute warm-up with your

coach and you've already expressed to

them that hey you're feeling a little

banged up, as long as the warm-up is

properly meeting your needs as an

athlete you should feel like after you

could almost be ready to train a full go

right? If after that one up you're still

not in the clear person truly

understanding like it's today really

good day? Should I be doing this? Maybe

you should just scale back the training a

bit and that might look like you instead

of hitting five by five as heavy as

possible in a back squat, it might look

like you scale them back to maybe sixty

percent or some weight that you know you

can focus on form, technique, still get

great movement out of but never be

stressing or creating more breaking down

to that muscle tissue another thing to

consider guys is active rest. How I said

motion is lotion I mean this through

just some rhythmic type movements in the

gym so you can come in you can row, you

can run, you can bike, you can ski, you can

do things like even sled pushing where

you're not involved with eccentric

loading. Eccentric loading is where we're

going to have our bodies working against

gravity where someone's pulling back

towards our body or pulling down toward

the band we're trying to decelerate

that load even in a sled push as

difficult as it may seem, even on an

assault bike the difficult of assault

bike sprints might seem, there's no

eccentric loading right? We're never

having to slow down gravity against

something so those things actually have

great value in days where you're trying

to actively recover or hopefully feel

better in the future. Another thing to

consider guys when it comes to muscle

soreness is that

the stimulus of your training has to be

programmed in such a way that, it intends

to predict the muscle soreness right or

the muscle adaptation so a lot of times

you guys are walking around sore

every stinking day and it's like coach I

want to be the best that I can be so I'm

hearing myself every day, I'm doing all

this, I'm doing all that, I'm doing all

these things but understand that without

that proper window of recovery, without

the game planning of the future or

without having a sound program to follow

you're going to lose that rationale and

over time your return for investment is

going to become very small so what I

mean by that is you can be walking

around very sore and feel like you're

making all these victories because yeah

you're living in a dark place, you are

pushing your body to it's to capacity so

if you don't have a plan for how that

should be structured out throughout the

course of a week, throughout the course of a

month, throughout the course of a quarter

of a year and throughout the course of an

entire season, maybe an entire calendar

year. If you don't have those kind of

visions or at least the understanding

that you need to have that kind of game

planning your training is going to be

very limited. So all in all guys, when it

comes to muscle soreness everyone in the

entire training world from CrossFit, to

powerlifting, to strongman we experience

it and the reason is because it's

something very necessary for us to get

the results that we're looking for. When we're

training hard into the gym so listen to

your bodies, make sure that you're

getting advice from your coaches, think

other advice online, learn things but

make sure that you're moving forward in

your training in a smart way. Predict

where your recovery needs to be and move

forward with your training.

WE ANIMATE! #8 part3 - Duration: 4:28.

WE ANIMATE! We animate, part 3

Good morning!...Or good evening...

Depending on the time you watch this.

Hi!

Today you'll watch the third and last part of the shooting of our short.

Mistakes are on the schedule, problems too and we're happy for that!

Don't misunderstand him...He has lost it...

Not at all...

...I think so...

On the contrary; We make mistakes and we learn from them

in order to create better shorts afterwards.

Now, he has a point.

So, what will you watch today?

You'll watch some time lapse videos

with the shooting.

You'll also watch what problems we faced

and what kind of mistakes we made,

if we corrected them

and if we haven't, what we thought of in order in the future

to face them and to make better movies.

Let's go!

Here, we shoot the scene where mother bear appears in front of our friends.

The feet of the man are different when he sits down

and when he runs away.

We had problems, but we dealt with them in a good way.

In order not to break apart the scenery,

I shoot the scene after the next one

with all the company eating together.

I also shot the two friends running to the balloon

when chased by the bees.

Here is the first cut out part.

I preferred it for another scene too,

instead of plasticine, because it was easier.

It was when the balloon flew away from the forest this time.

How did we create the bees?

We took a transparent gelatin,

in a white paper we draw the bees,

we cut them and we glued them on the gelatin.

Then, we moved them like that

in order to show that they move.

As simple as that.

In some takes, camera should travel, as we say,

in order to shoot in parallel

But my camera couldn't do that,

so what I did was to turn it just.

In this case, a simple webcam

a cheap one, could do it much easier.

Just by moving it that way

little by little, doing this move,

and shooting a picture every time.

You see, you don't need expensive equipment to do something really good.

That's all for now! Next week we'll watch the short

and with Petros we'll discuss our problems and mistakes,

in order to correct them in our next shorts.

Until then, take care!

Shin Chan - We've rock in our soul! - English subs - Duration: 8:07.

(Hey,) we've rock in our soul!

Oh! What's that mom?

It's the electric guitar of your father.

I was rearranging this wardrobe and it suddenly appeared...

Whaaat? Did dad used to play the electric guitar?

I've always thought that dad was so boring that he didn't even have any hobbies...

Have I never told you this story?

When he was young he used to play in a rock band.

But that was before we met.

Your father says they were really popular and successful.

I've asked him several times to play for me, but never wants to...

Masao?

So dad used to play in a rock band...

I cannot believe it!

I'd love to play in one rock band, but I used to think that I wasn't made for that kind of things, as I'm so shy...

But if dad managed to succeed, so will I, of course I will!

And I won't care about whatever they say...

because I also have rock 'n' roll in my soul, babe!

As long as I have this electric guitar...

Nothing will defeat me!

And then, the silly boy started crying there, in front of everybody...

What a looser!

Of course!

I don't take the same path as those two...

No way!

That's what real rock means...

Shin-chan!

Hey, what are you doing?

Fishing.

You little kid, do you think my garden is a boat?

Oh Shin-chan. Acting up, like always, don't you?

I couldn't think of anything else...

Wow! It's so cool, Masao!

Yes, you noticed that, didn't you?

Yeah! Look at that dragonfly!

What? Which dragonfly?

You're gona scare it...

May I know what the hell you are doing?

Eh? Ah, it's mama's boy!

Don't you dare to insult me!

You, who is showing and shaking your ass in the middle of the street...!

Guys, calm down!

Whoa! It's really cool.

It used to belong to my dad.

Seriously?

You look like you played in a band!

In my superhero band...

We protect the world!

I didn't mean that kind of band...

Guys! Why don't we set up a rock band?

Whaaat?

Sounds cool. But I only know how to play violin, I'm sorry.

I know how to play the ocarina!

And I play the guitar without a guitar!

Well, none of you three are really useful then, but I have an idea.

Why don't we just pretend we were a real rock band?

Even if we don't play real music, we can make our instrument out of cardboard!

Good idea!

Sounds funny!

I have a lot of useless cardboard at home!

And we can even compose our own songs. What do you think?

It sounds really nice!

I'm in!

Ok!

So everybody, let's gather some cardboard!

Yeah!!

Would this be enough?

Thank you very much, madam.

Ok. Be really careful with the scissors, ok?

Ok!

Then I'll go shopping for a while.

I'll take Himawari with me.

Perfect!

So a rock band with cardboard instruments... How imaginative kids are!

But of course, if they continue with the band when older and succeed, their retirement pension will be guaranteed!

What a joke!

Shinnosuke! Could you give me a bit of adhesive tape, please?

Yeah, sure.

Here you go.

Thanks.

This is next to nothing! I need more!

Oook!

Too long!

We're ready!

I play the bass!

I play the keyboard!

And I'm the drummer!

Amazing guys! Now we really look like a proper band!

We're missing something.

Who is gonna be the vocalist?

The vocalist?

Mm that's true...

Shall we ask Nene?

Nene? Are you sure?

The vocalist?

Of course, that's my role, and no-one else's!

I'm pretty, I have a good figure and a charisma that even Madonna would like to have.

I'll be your singer, but the band must play high-quality music, which needs to be between lollipop-pop and techno-chic.

Without forgetting our uniforms that...

We'd better forget it!

No way!

Then it'll be a boys-only band.

I agree.

Firstly, we should decide the band's name.

Yeah, that's true.

It has to be a really cool name.

Mmm I can't think of anything now...

We could take our leader's name and invent something like 'Masao-men'.

Isn't it cool, guys?

I suggest 'Boys Next Door'.

'The Though Guys'

'Stone Things'

Ey guys! I am the leader!

What about 'Tomorrow is Another Day' [in English]? It means 'Tomorrow is Another Day'...

KaShiMaBo. They are the first syllables of our names.

'The Cookies & Little Ass Brothers'

No way.

Come on guys! I'm the leader! You have to take my opinion into consideration!

We'll decide it through a singing contest!

The winner will be the leader and will decided the group's name!

Are we supposed to play original songs?

Voice of the heart is like a melody!

It's a good idea!

Yeah!

They didn't even consider that the group was MY group...

Nice!

So I'll start!

I've been thinking about you so long time...

That I never though I could suffer this way...

Whoa! A romantic story?

If I hadn't made that mistake...

We would have had a passionate love story...

As I ate them in a row, all the cookies one by one, now my heart is broken down, like you aimed me with a gun!

As I ate them in a row, without leaving even one, I'll never get you back, so you left, you left me like the foam!

Nah! It's his usual nosense, but in a singing-style...

We have to admit that he's being really passionate. I feel your pain, Shin-chan!

It's a cry coming from his heart. I also wanna sing!

Long time ago, there was a little stone!

Long time ago, there was a little stone!

Wow, this is amazing! All of them have rock 'n' roll in their souls...

At the end I wasn't able to compose a single song...

Maybe I don't have rock in my soul?

I think I'll never be a rockstar, like dad.

I'm home!

Ey! Long time no see!

I didn't even remember I had it.

A friend of mine gave it to me when I came from my town to Tokyo.

Since then I haven't even played it once.

On top of that, I used to brag saying I had been part of a rock group...

It's the best tool ever to pick up girls!

I always preferred classical music over rock...

It's crystal clear I'm my father's son.

How Can We Connect With Mother Earth? - "Walking The Path" with Marco Missinato - Duration: 9:14.

(How Can We Connect With Mother Earth - "Walking The Path" with Marco Missinato) To be able to connect with Mother Earth

we in the way we have to learn how to

listen to her. How can we do that if we are

so disconnected already from Source. How do we do

that? By allow the right circumstances to take

place which means you will have to

create a reality where you can spend

many many hours everyday surrounded by

nature. You will have to unplug from as

much as possible from the system and

possibly even change your location and

(How Can We Connect With Mother Earth - "Walking The Path" with Marco Missinato) Go in a situation where there is

stillness and where there is nature if you

think your mind makes you believe it is

really impossible to do that then what you

can do is to make your environment as

more natural as possible which means

having the plants and animals going to

park spend time with watching the stars or

the moon or the sky going the

weekend to the ocean try to give as

much as possible chances to have

a union with nature keeping

in mind that most of us are so

disassociated and disconnected but it might

take several months before we start to

really connect deeply and stuff to hear

her voice even if you leave everything

and you go into the situation that is

more natural and there's more nature it

still might take many many months and

maybe some even years before you

start to really create a vibrational

offer that allows you to hear the voice

of your Mother Earth and surrendering

into stillness will of speed up the

(How Can We Connect With Mother Earth - "Walking The Path" with Marco Missinato) process. Animals of course and

plants are

big big facilitators so the

more you feel love for animals and

plants the more you open up your

receivers and your tuning in and you

start to synch with the vibrations and it will

start to hear messages in whatever shape or

form you will hear maybe sounds or even

a voice or it can be an intuition

of new insights but so it takes time

(How Can We Connect With Mother Earth - "Walking The Path" with Marco Missinato) sometimes you have to create the scene

work really consciously and create

the circumstances and situations in your reality

where you have access to nature and

possibly spend several hours a day in

nature as it is actually probably this

point it's almost mandatory to do so

because everything else is not

particularly relevant it's not so

relevant to keep a career or a machine

that makes money or sustain all these

demands from a system that really

doesn't love you and really doesn't

support you but is actually eating you

up slowly and sometimes rapidly

actually and so at the end of

your life you okay you get a few

million dollars or few million euros

that you've got the big house so what who

cares it doesn't really have any

importance

(How Can We Connect With Mother Earth - "Walking The Path" with Marco Missinato) Of course it is nice to have it and nothing

wrong there's nothing wrong with that

the millions of dollars or the house

actually can be a wonderful thing but it

cannot be the summarization of your

focus and your priorities because if you

become priorities then you will not hear

nature you will not be able to hear

nature at all because you disassociate

yourself from the organic aspect of life

and you will create an artificial life

made of stuff and then your you have

you will identify yourself you

will gain a sense of self based on how

much stuff you have and of course you will always

be in contraction because you can lose

yourself or there will always be somebody

that's more than you are you feel like

you don't have enough stuff right so

you're in a constant run to get

(How Can We Connect With Mother Earth - "Walking The Path" with Marco Missinato) more and more and more and what if you

tuned in with the organic aspect of life

it's not any more about what you have is

important is nice and absolutely a

wonderful to have wonderful stuff like a

beautiful house like having the tools

that you use to create or but those that

will be supportive devices will not

be your measure of

self-identification so you will not be

lost into this stuff you will use the

stuff to support you

to connect yourself with the creative

part of yourself, with Source

(How Can We Connect With Mother Earth - "Walking The Path" with Marco Missinato) Paradoxically as you progress to a

deeper and deeper you would simplify

(How Can We Connect With Mother Earth - "Walking The Path" with Marco Missinato) more everything

OCEAN SAILING Likes and Dislikes A TRUE STORY Ep 13 - Duration: 14:36.

This time on Luckyfish

we spend 4 days beam reaching off the coast of Brazil

and the girls reflect on what it is like to become

the first Mongolians to sail across an ocean

On the 13th day of our voyage we passed the

half way point to Barbados

The north east trade winds had finally filled in

and we enjoyed reaching conditions with the apparent wind

just forward of the beam.

The wind varied between 15 and 30 knots so we

left the mainsail down and one reef in the foresail.

We rolled the jib in and out to adjust for the wind.

We still had swells arriving from various directions

making it difficult to let the boat fly.

Still, we made quick progress with average speeds

of six and half and seven and half knots for the next 2 days.

Day 14 and the winds were holding.

This meant that the Luckyfish timezone was

saving more daylight than ever, as we ran the west down.

This was 9:30 am, GMT, 2 hours before our 24 hour run guessing game.

It was one of the highlights of every day out there.

This mornings guesses were, Stewart 178 miles, Zaya 180 miles,

Tuya 188 miles.

Pretty optimistic.

The winner, Stewart of course, with a days run of 177 miles.

We were still sailing without wind instruments.

We sailed well during the day, and reduced speed at night when,

the winds would increase 25 to 30knots, 3m beam seas with

white caps blowing away.

We sailed with 3 reefs in the foresail and 50% jib.

Around 9 each morning the winds would ease and the seas

would become regular rows of soldiers.

We'd shake out a reef or two.

The seas were becoming more regular again

And the equatorial haze was starting to lift

to reveal beautiful clear blue skies

with puffy white clouds

A gentle North Atlantic (!) swell began to take charge.

Our route took us well offshore from the mouth of the Amazon

The river can send large trees and other hazards

Even turn the seawater fresh up to 200 miles offshore

>> STEW: Thats 490 miles out

If we had some sort of scoop we could pick up some

and have a look at it

Can we scoop it up?

>> ZAYA: Yeah

>> STEW: Oh look were going through it

Its a weed, seaweed

Not an algae

[VO] At first I thought it was discharge from the River

But it turned out to be Sargasso Weed

Heres a quote from the log on the 17th Day

After the hull inspection this morning turned up no issues

with wear or chafe on the lashings, more confidence

grows in design and construction.

Unfortunately you must go through the punishment

of the big slams in the hulls and beams

in order for your faith to grow in your ship.

It was no surprise that todays earworm was

Tori Amos Cornflake Girl,

[MUSIC]

a song about how trusted friends let you down

well Luckyfish was proving to be a trusted friend

and not letting us down

we were betting our lives on it.

[MUSIC]

>> STEW: What are you doing honey?

Are you Marilyn Monroe?

this is your Marilyn Monroe

I like it

>> ZAYA: If you want me to be

>> STEW: Where is all that air coming from

[Laughter]

>> ZAYA: Between my legs

>> STEW: Ohhh, its got a mind of its own

>> STEW: I bet it feels good

>> ZAYA: It feels nice

>> ZAYA: Pregnant Marilyn Monroe

>> STEW: Youve got a big ass darling

[Laughter]

>> ZAYA: Oi, dont hurt the baby

[Laughter]

[Mongolian Music]

>> STEW: How is it working down here in this tiny galley?

>> ZAYA: Its fine

>> STEW: How did the bread come out?

>> ZAYA: Nice.

>> STEW: Looks Good, yum.

[Mongolian Muisic]

>> STEW: Why did you decide to sail Tuya?

>> TUYA: I did not know it was sailing boat.

You said sailing boat so i imagined to be inside like cruising boat

or small ship

[Laughter]

but when I came, it was a boat with a sail

oh well I thought, already here from all that way from Mongolia

so no choice except get on with it and travel

>> ZAYA: I asked her, then what did you do? she said nah screw it.

It's already started so I have to finish it!

>> STEW: And what about you, Zaya, what made you come out here?

>> ZAYA: Oh.

Because I'm up for new adventures

So, its very beautiful to experience new things

Its really new

[Laughter]

Its completely new.

Experience.

So far so good we are still alive.

>> STEW: So far so good we are still alive.

OK I have have a question for you then,

Has it been worth it?

Tuya

>> ZAYA: She says its much more interesting than she thought.

We visited different islands, different people, and seen different weather and different places.

Even on the ocean every day is different.

She likes it

>> ZAYA: Yeah, me too

>> STEW: What have you liked most about your journey so far?

3 things...

3 things.

Oh, I like it all, except night when it time gets too rough.

Thats a little bit scary

Othertimes are nice, daytime, sometimes rainy

Showering in the rain is nice, thats one thing

Getting fish on is nice

Fish on the hook is nice [laughter]

Swimming in the ocean is nice

oh, there is more than 3

Having sundowners is nice

Thats very nice

Every evening watching the sun go down

sit on the deck

the 3 of us and have some wine

[>>Tuya: Mongolian]

>> TUYA: on my watch time, boat sails suddenly way too fast, freaked me out

also that first time ship gotten too close, i thought they were pirates coming to capture

us

freaked from those two things other then that pretty nice out here

>> ZAYA: Shes says sometimes a ship comes close

Mysterious ships like that fishing one (off Namibia)

She thought that was a pirate boat

That freaked her out

But now we are more experienced

Whats yours then?

What, least favorite or most favorite?

Least favorite

Least favorite, ahhh...

Listening to the noises of a new boat

a boat we don't fully understand

an havn't built full faith in

haven't got that wonderful confidence that comes from experience

So

Thats slowly building now though

The Luckyfish has been through many big thumps and bangs

and creaks and groans and

now we are growing used to them and we know every sound

so , things are a lot more relaxed now

two months on, than they were orignally

thats the least favorite

getting used to a new boat

whats Tuya doing?

Shes checking

if there are any ships around

Mongolian are there any ship?

We are doing eight knots

Next time on Luckyfish

We stop the boat to avoid a ship

The girls rescue the bucket again

We sight land for the first time in 23 days

And land in Barbados
