Trump ramps up rhetoric on Canada trade 'We will not stand for this!' - Duration: 1:50.

Trump ramps up rhetoric on Canada trade 'We will not stand for this!'

by Kyle Feldscher

President Trump on Tuesday ramped up his criticism of Canada's trade relationship with the United

States, less than a day after imposing a new tariff on Canadian softwood lumber.

"Canada has made business for our dairy farmers in Wisconsin and other border states very

difficult.

We will not stand for this.

Watch!" Trump tweeted Tuesday.

The tweet came about 12 hours after Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross announced the retroactive

imposition of a 20 percent tax on Canadian softwood lumber that is imported to the United

States.

Wilbur said there's a need to impose a retroactive tax to counteract a Canadian subsidy on its

soft lumber industry to the tune of $1 billion.

Ross called it a "bad week" for American trade relations with Canada.

He also criticized the Canadian decision to "cut off" the last dairy products being sent

from the United States to Canada.

One of Trump's most prominent messages during the campaign was his criticism of the North

American Free Trade Agreement between the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

Trump promised to pull the United States out of the agreement in order to protect American

industry.

The Washington Examiner reported on Monday that a tax on Canadian specialized milk, used

to make cheese, is expected to come soon from the Trump administration.

Lesbian Couple Gripe: She Scares People Away : Lacie and Robin - Duration: 3:31.

What is your feeling about the man being

president? Well, I don't . . . I have a sense of

humor. Hi, everybody. Hi, you guys.

Honey, today I have a gripe for you. Okay.

It might be borderline intervention. All

right.

It has to do with Facebook. Uh-huh. Lacie

tends to put posts up on Facebook that

get sort of a mixed reaction. Mostly it

gets people screaming and running in the

other direction. And then a few people

who are also extremely enraged will give

it a thumbs up or an angry face. So

you've been inciting angry emoticons and

people fleeing from your page. I have

been in what can only be described as

mortal pain and terror. I thought you

were trying . . . I can't even say it with a

straight face. I thought you were trying

to deal with your rage.

I'm fully trying to deal with my rage.

I'm just not succeeding. I'm not saying

you don't get enraged, but then what can

you do to make it better. Drink? When you

post something on Facebook you can do

that without adding your own little

flair to it. You have to add your own

little flair, in that way you tell other

people why this is the most vile thing

and that is ever happened. Is there any

way that you can just share information

without making sure everybody knows how

pissed off you are? No. We could go around

looking for everyone who's not paying

attention to what's going on and try to

grab them by the lapels and shake some

sense into them. I thought you were gonna say

labia. Grab them by the labia. See, your

beef is that people aren't talking about

this enough. I don't know why everybody

isn't talking about this every single day.

Well, I don't know why everybody isn't

running through the streets screaming.

Womeone has to do that and it's me.

Oh my God! Oh my God! He's crazy! Oh, shit! Oh

my God!!!

My way has not been as constructive as

it could have been. You're taking it

personally. Yes I am. I'm completely

taking it personally. This election has

made me feel like my silence is a

problem. I agree that we shouldn't be

silent. And I'm not being silent

I'm just really doing it more on Twitter

because people really love it there. So

that's all it is? I'm just on the

wrong platform? I have just found people

who Are outraged by it, who ARE paying

attention, who ARE taking action and I'm

focusing on them. I can't really put

whatever, I'm whatever rage I'm dishing

out that day on "Lacie and Robin" because

you generally run that. But I could do it

on my own personal Twitter feed. I could

get some of that out.

Don't come infecting my pristine feed

with your bad attitude. Do you agree with

that, really? That you're okay with my

being outraged if it's in the right

place? I think you won't be as outraged. A

big part of your rage is that these

people aren't doing anything or saying

anything and you're the only one that seems

to give a shit. So, if you surround

yourself by other people who are giving

a shit, and taking action, and having a

sense of humor about it, you don't feel

like you're just this lone voice

screaming in the dark. Actually, the thing

that makes me feel safe and makes me

feel sane is when people express outrage

and I'm like, okay, It's not just me! I can totally

do that.

Follow me on Twitter if you want to get

enraged. The point is, it's not about

whether you post on Facebook or don't

post on Facebook, the point is, take care

of yourself. All right you guys, leave us

your comments. Give us a thumbs up.

Please subscribe to the channel. We love

you. We want to thank you for watching.

Mwah! Bye, you guys.

5 Ancient Inventions Science Can't Explain - Duration: 10:03.

5 Ancient Inventions Science Can't Explain

For the most part, technology has continued improving in a linear fashion for thousands

of years.

However, ancient cultures have left many relics and structures that seem a little too advanced

for their respective eras.

Even to this day, some of the greatest ancient creations cannot be explained by scientists.

Hi.

I am Mister Mysterious and today I'll be telling you about five of the most mysterious

ancient inventions that are still unexplained.

We will be taking a look at astonishing artifacts that mirror the splendor of ancient minds.

Be prepared to rethink about how you imagine our ancestors as well as ancient civilizations.

FIVE: Ancient Flexible Glass

The history of glassmaking can be traced back to 3,500 BCE in Mesopotamia.

Ever since that time, we know glass as a very fragile substance.

However, there is a story connected to ancient Romans that talks about a type of glass that

isn't only unbreakable but has the power to absorb damage.

This invention is tied to the Roman Emperor Tiberius Caesar as well as to an unknown craftsman

who brought a drinking bowl made of flexible glass to the Emperor.

However, Tiberius wasn't impressed with the bowl and tried to break it by throwing

it to the ground.

However, instead of shattering, the mysterious material dented.

The craftsman then repaired the bowl with a small hammer.

After the inventor swore that he alone knew the technique of manufacture, Tiberius Caesar

had the man beheaded, fearing that such material could undermine the value of gold and silver.

Some believe that this is just an ancient urban legend because the story sounds too

good to be true.

However, Roman glassmaking was so advanced that some of its achievements couldn't be

replicated until the 18th century.

Some of the best-known innovations from around that period include colorless glass, window

panes, and glass mosaics.

FOUR: The Antikythera Mechanism

More than a hundred years ago, an extraordinary mechanism was found by divers at the bottom

of the sea near the Greek island of Antikythera.

This mechanism was found in a wooden box and it was composed of at least 30 meshing bronze

wheels.

The wheels used to run a system that displayed the date, positions of the sun and moon, lunar

phases, a 19-year calendar and a 223-month eclipse prediction dial.

In other words, this was an analog computer of great complexity.

No other machine of known existence shows a similarity in advanced engineering for at

least another 1,000 years.

Experts have been working to decipher inscriptions hidden inside the mechanism.

It was discovered that there was a pointer on the front that carried colored balls: fiery

red for Mars, gold for the Sun.

The only thing we know about this device is that the ancient Greeks used complex arrangements

of precisely cut wheels to keep track of their surroundings.

They came to believe that nature worked according to predefined rules, like a machine – which

is an approach that forms the basis of our modern scientific views.

THREE: Baghdad's Batteries

War can destroy more than a nation, an army or a leader.

Culture, tradition, and history also lie in the firing line and often suffer during war

times.

Iraq is one of the countries with a rich national heritage that was often plagued by wars.

The Garden of Eden and the Tower of Babel are said to have been located in this ancient

land.

However, there is one ancient artifact that goes against everything we think we know about

our history.

It was in 1938, while working in Khujut Rabu, near Baghdad, that German archeologist Wilhelm

Koning unearthed a five-inch-long clay jar containing a copper cylinder that encased

an iron rod.

The object showed signs of corrosion, and early tests revealed that an acidic agent

had been present.

For Koning, this was an ancient battery.

More than 70 years after their discovery, the batteries of Baghdad – as there are

perhaps a dozen of them – are still shrouded in mystery.

Some have suggested the batteries may have been used medicinally.

Other scientists believe the batteries were used for electroplating – transferring a

thin layer of metal onto another metal surface.

This idea is perhaps the most interesting since at its core lies the mother of many

inventions: money.

Perhaps this invention was used in the making of jewelry, where a layer of gold or silver

is often applied to enhance its beauty in a process called gilding.

Either way, it seems like we'll never know the truth behind this intriguing innovation.

TWO: Zhang Heng's Seismoscope

Throughout the ancient times, the Chinese were concerned with the destructive force

of earthquakes.

They weren't aware of tectonic plates and they believed that earthquakes were disturbances

with cosmic yin and yang.

However, one inventor had his own ideas about this destructive force of nature.

One of the first and one of the most efficient earthquake-detection instruments was invented

almost 1900 years ago in ancient China.

The device was invented by the Eastern Han philosopher and court official Zhang Heng.

The seismoscope was about six-feet-tall and resembled a large bronze urn with eight tubes

shaped as dragons' heads.

Surrounding the device were four bronze toads positioned in four directions.

Thanks to its internal pendulum and bronze balls, the device's internal mechanism would

swing in the event of an earthquake.

This would raise one of the dragons' heads and push the bronze balls out of the dragon's

mouth into the mouth of a bronze toad.

This would create a very loud sound, which served as a warning alarm.

Today, we know very little about how Zhang Heng managed to materialize his biggest invention.

We only know that the device was very advanced for the time of its creation as well as that

it gives accurate results and warnings almost two millennia later.

ONE: The Iron Pillar of Delhi

In the Qutb complex of Delhi stands one of the most curious metal objects in the world

– the so-called Iron Pillar of Delhi.

This object does not seem to rust, despite being over a thousand years old.

The height of the pillar is about 23 feet.

The base rests on a grid of iron bars soldered into the upper layer of the dressed stone

pavement.

It is estimated to weigh more than six tons.

While several inscriptions are found on the pillar, the oldest one is a six-line stanza

Sanskrit inscription.

The name Chandra is mentioned in the third verse, forcing scholars to believe that the

pillar was made during the reign of Chandragupta II.

One of the most interesting qualities of this pillar is its resistance to corrosion.

One of the theories suggests that there is a co-relation between the processing, structure,

and properties of the pillar's iron.

In other words, this pillar is a living testimony to the skill of metallurgists of ancient India.

Even today, we can't produce the same kind of iron, even though we have multiple ways

to protect metal objects from corrosion.

What do you think about these mysterious ancient inventions?

Do we really know our civilization's history as we claim we do?

Kwak Siyang from SM dances to H.O.T's 'We Are The Future' (feat.Tony An) [Happy Together/2017.04.27] - Duration: 12:43.

I heard Joon came to Korea three days ago.

- Yes. / - On the internet,

- Joon is called "Baam the Great". / - Right.

- He's Baam the Great. / - Yes.

- What does that mean? / - He always says "baam".

- His way of speaking became popular. / - It's natural.

I've been saying it since I was little.

When I hit someone, I hit while saying "baam".

I say it's "baam". That's how I say it.

- What does he mean? / - That's why I say it.

It's Joon's habit.

He always says "baam" at the end of his sentence.

- But what does it mean? / - Explain to him, Joon.

It's like this. Let's say you ate this.

Not this candy. Let's say you ate something good.

Then you say, "Delicious. Baam!"

It's an exclamation.

- It's an exclamation. / - Pass.

- It's like "Yippee". / - "Yippee".

- It's like that. / - It's like "Yippee".

- Baam! / - That's it.

- That's it. / - Yes, baam!

- Ilsub. / - Baam.

(It's Joon's Exclamation 101.)

- There's another one he says. "G-yeah". / - "G-yeah".

- It's "G". / - "Watch out."

Ilsub understood it as "Watch out."

(He thought it meant "watch out".)

(He laughs.)

- It's an exclamation. / - I learned something new.

Hyeongyeong, look here.

- You can read this. / - "My little brother".

What's "Have a pretty baby baam"?

- He uses it for everything. / - It's because

I did it and got a baby right away.

You're going to be a dad this May.

- That's right. / - Next month!

(He's a daddy now.)

- Baby! / - Is it a son or a daughter?

It's my first time saying it. It's a daughter.

(He's going to love his daughter so much.)

- Congratulations. / - It's a daughter,

but I honestly thought it was a son.

- I checked the sonogram. / - The sonogram.

And there was something in the middle.

So I said, "It's a boy!"

But it turned out to be an umbilical cord.

- It was an umbilical cord. / - It was a daughter.

He mistook the umbilical cord as a penis.

- It's amazing to have a daughter. / - It's lovely.

- It's lovely. / - Having a daughter is amazing.

Didn't your wife get pregnant right after marriage?

No. We wanted to enjoy

- our life for about a year. / - Your newlywed life?

We wanted to take trips to the US and to Hawaii.

Then we decided to give it a shot.

One day, I came home around 2:40 a.m. after work.

My wife said, "Honey".

I was so sleepy. I asked her what it was,

and she said today was the day.

- We had to do it. / - It was the day.

It was the day, but I was too tired.

It's the day!

You don't have to go into the details.

So I told my wife I was really sorry.

I was really sorry,

but I just did it quickly.

But she got pregnant.

My wife became sensitive after three weeks.

So we did a test, and she was pregnant.

She got pregnant on the first try.

- It was... / - Congratulations.

- Congratulations. / - "Baam" is like

"that" in Korean dialect.

- Right. / - Right. You can use it any time.

- Right. We understood everything. / - Yes.

- We understood everything he said. / - He's great.

When a girl's pregnant, she craves for a lot of things.

Did she crave for anything special?

She craved for many things for the first two months.

When she wanted to eat tteokbokki, I went to buy it.

When it's past 10 p.m.,

I had to struggle to find it. When I finally got home,

she had one bite and was done with it.

It was up to me to finish the rest.

I usually don't gain weight, but I gained a little.

- You had to finish everything. / - Right.

- It's a little different story, but... / - Yes.

You went to Taehee and Rain's wedding.

Are you close to them?

I know them very well.

Are they well now? How are they?

- Now? They are very well. / - Yes. After marriage.

You can live well when you're that rich.

(He gives a cutting remark.)

That's right.

You're right.

- You can't buy happiness with money, but... / - But...

- It's an important condition. / - I'm being honest.

- Of course. / - Wait.

- Do you have to go to the bathroom? / - I know him.

- You suddenly remembered. / - I know him.

- He remembered Tony. / - I'm sorry.

Don't mention it.

Tony, nowadays, people around you

including Moon Heejun are getting married.

- All the first generation idols are married. / - Yes.

Heejun and Joon are married.

- All the girls of S.E.S are married. / - Right.

- They're all married. / - Don't you feel pressured?

I used to meet Heejun very often.

But I had no clue. I didn't know he was dating.

- He completely kept it secret. / - He didn't tell me.

One day, he asked me to have soju with him.

And he seriously said, "I have something to tell you."

"I'm getting married."

- I almost dropped the glass. / - Really?

I heard they dated for eight months.

- He didn't tell you at all. / - I didn't know,

and Kangta didn't know either. None of us knew.

Not even his managers knew.

He asked me if I wanted to know who his fiance is.

It must've surprised you once more.

But I didn't want to know.

I thought I was going to get drunk and tell Jaeduck.

Really. I thought I'd say, "Don't tell this to anyone."

But Jaeduck is a member of Sechs Kies.

So I didn't want that to happen.

- Does that still matter? / - It's like that.

I couldn't let a member of Sechs Kies know it

- before our members hear about it. / - Right.

So I told him I'd wait for the news article.

And the next day, I found out that it was Soyul.

- You didn't ask him who it was. / - I didn't.

I was really surprised when I found out who it was.

You were surprised twice.

- I was so shocked. / - You didn't expect it.

I tried searching who it might be.

- "Who could it be?" / - You searched him.

Yes. I looked up who worked with him.

But I didn't think...

If you were that curious,

you should have asked him at the spot.

Tony's mom is very popular these days.

- She is a star. / - That's right.

She likes it, right?

Do you like the fact that she became well-known?

I like

that she recovered her health.

How fortunate!

Is her restaurant doing well?

Her restaurant in Gangwon Province became so crowded

that I can't visit it.

She gets a lot of offers to be on shows.

- I see. / - She gets more offers than me.

I am serious.

I heard Tony's mom

- has taken a liking to Gunmo. / - Really?

Is it true? We have seen the signs on TV.

- I found out about it through the show. / - Really?

I found out about it through the show.

There is an age difference of 20 years.

I'm sure she likes him

as the eldest son.

She went to Gunmo's concert in secret.

It was at the end of the year. I didn't know about it.

She went to Gunmo's concert without my knowing.

- Really? / - She went in the middle of winter.

- She went in the middle of winter. / - Yes.

H.O.T should have a concert so that she can go.

If we and Gunmo have concerts on the same day,

she might go to Gunmo's concert.

- Is that how much she likes Gunmo? / - Yes.

(He captivated the heart of Tony's mom.)

That's how much she likes Gun Mo.

Let's talk about the topic Hyunmoo brought up.

Some people think H.O.T should make a comeback

as Sechs Kies has.

Jaeduck asks me that every time I see him.

"Is anything happening with H.O.T?"

- That's right. / - He asks me that.

Although I work and meet up with the members often,

we don't talk much

about this topic.

- You avoid the topic. / - That's right.

Joon, G.O.D re-banded

with all members.

What kind of advice would you like to give him?

I don't know.

When I was in the US after I hurt my back,

I watched video clips of G.O.D's past performances.

Watching them made me think,

"I was cool at the time."

This is what I said to the members.

"We might not be as great as we were back then,"

"but we can still make the fans happy"

"by performing on the stage."

"They will give us energy. Let's do this."

H.O.T will be able to re-band with that mindset.

Happy Together is ready.

If H.O.T re-bands and the members are willing,

we will make a nice episode.

- We have invited Shinhwa. / - That's right.

- Really? / - That's right.

- The episode with Shinhwa was a blast. / - It was.

First of all,

- we would be honored. / - If H.O.T re-bands,

the members should be on Happy Together

first and foremost.

Happy Together will stand with H.O.T.

- Thank you. / - Are you certain about that?

(We will wait for you.)

H.O.T!

- Please make it come true. / - Don't go elsewhere.

Myungsoo really must have a powerful man behind him.

Are you certain Happy Together will stand with H.O.T?

- Yes, I am certain. I am on the hotline / - Good.

with the executives of KBS.

I thought the one you knew quit.

- What? / - The one you knew quit.

- Really? / - At this point,

how good is the possibility of a comeback?

One thing is certain.

I will put more effort into H.O.T's comeback

than my marriage.

(He will put more effort into H.O.T's comeback.)

Are you thinking about staying single forever?

Maybe I shouldn't have made that promise.

Thank you for waiting. The next guest is Kwak Siyang.

(The dream boyfriend, Kwak Siyang)

It has only been three years

since Siyang's debut.

He is already called "The nation's young man"

- and "The dream boyfriend". / - "The dream boyfriend".

People are in a frenzy.

I heard that you showed H.O.T's dance

and passed the audition among 10,000 applicants.

- What does that mean? / - I can explain.

Another broadcasting station made a music drama.

- There was an audition. / - Yes.

I danced to "We Are the Future" by H.O.T.

I can't dance very well.

He will dance to the song in front of Tony.

We must see it.

He will dance before he talks more.

He will show the dance of "We Are the Future".

"We Are The Future"!

I stood with my back turned at first.

I can't wait to see Siyang dance.

(Expectant)

(It's the legendary dance.)

("We Are the Future" by H.O.T)

(Their bodies remember the dance.)

(That's incredible.)

(He looks a bit wobbly.)

My goodness.

(Flapping)

- His dance is strange. / - Is that Bongsan Mask Dance?

(Was the music drama set in the past?)

Did you win among 10,000 applicants with this dance?

(Did you win among 10,000 applicants with this dance?)

I can explain.

- It started off nicely. / - It was like an exercise.

- It's... / - I doubt he won among 10,000 applicants.

The number of applications that came in was 10,000.

- Still. / - You should've told us that from the start.

I wanted to, but you made me dance right away.

That's right.

Siyang and Tony share similarities.

Not only did Siyang dance to "We Are the Future",

he also trained in S.M. Entertainment for three years.

- I see. / - Really?

Really?

Board Report April 2017: Region I - Duration: 4:03.

Welcome to Hartford, Connecticut where the NAD Board is meeting.

We have had some great discussions, especially for plans with Region I.

We'd like to share some great things happening in our region.

Region I has many legislative bills introduced in their state legislature, kudos to those who did.

Some examples include:

language acquisition -- making sure deaf children between ages 0 - 5 are on par with their peers

by kindergarten, accountability on state level is important

license plate recognizing deaf drivers with a logo is a big concern, especially when deaf people

are pulled over by the police, some state associations are concerned

and interpreting licensure bills to make sure the interpreting community is in good shape and that

the deaf community is protected as well.

Those are the different types of bills in our region.

We recognize the hard work the State Associations have done in getting them passed on the state level.

We also have many events in our region such as upcoming State Association conferences

happening now through the fall.

Check our Facebook page for more information.

Also, we have the National Leadership Training Conference (NLTC) during October 3-5

in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma!

We hope you will join us.

We will do something new this year at NLTC, a region mini conference.

Come and join us!

Also, we are planning for our next biennial conference in 2018 in Hartford.

We are looking for volunteers.

You can check our Facebook page for more information soon.

Come!

We are really excited for everything you have done, keep up the work and

moving forward with your sleeves rolled up!

Region I is champ!

Yes, you're champ!

Chillin in Tokyo - Episode 22 - Kotatsu TV - Duration: 4:32.

Hi! I'm Nari, and I'm Shiro

This week it will be a bit different! Why are you scared... Idk..

We don't have a theme today, but we are going to talk about our adventures in Japan!

We have some movies, so we will explain a bit while watching it with you guys!

I'm living the vlogger life! Yeah, the vlogger life lol

Where is this? This is Shinjuku! Oh, no, it's Harajuku! We were walking down the streets

What is your favorite food? Uhh, Yakiniku!

I love Yakinikuu! It doesn't have a taste

We're still in Harajuku This girl doesn't have any respect

This is the Harajuku wall

Shiro's head is in the way Hey

Ey, Mike, make a weird face! ...Why Just do it

What do you do in your free time? Drinking and sleeping when I have a day off

What do you like about your work? That I can teach What do you don't like? That my overlabor isn't paid

Yep, overworking is so common in Japan, but most of them don't even get paid for it

Vlogger life style, take 4

Lol Nee stop lol

This is our apartment

You definitely should take an Airbnb instead of an hotel

It's so much cheaper!

Mike is finally awake He is being cranky

He is angry lol

Let me take the vlog No, you always lose phones (he lost his phone twice in Japan lol)

These are five.. Mike how do you read this

Look at Shiro, he is K.O. Yeah, I was sick for like two days

Shiro came to Japan after three years finally

We're going, Shiro He died... So it's gonna be me and Mike

How do you say that you like something, and how do you say that something tastes good or not?

Do you know how to say 'like' or 'yummy' in Japanese?

Well, the word for 'like' is 'Suki' And you say 'Oishii' when something tastes good

Now, lets say you want to say that you like tempura Then, you say 'watashi ha(wa) tempura ga suki desu'

Another example, if you want to say that you like soccer 'Watashi ha(wa) sakka- ga suki desu'

You see, the form of the sentence is the same, so you can just replace the nouns So, how do you say that you like sushi then?

Another question, how do you say 'I like Kotatsu' ?

The next lesson will be about how to say that something tastes good or not!

Want To Be A Healer Be A Creek - Duration: 11:12.

Want To Be A Healer?

Be A Creek

At Global Community Communications Alliance (GCCA) we approach healing with the same community

spirit as we approach everything else.

Our healing team works primarily through the Soulistic Medical Institute (a supporting

affiliate of GCCA), experiencing many opportunities to serve both community members and the public.

While we use standard medicine when necessary and unavoidable, we prefer the more wholistic

and soulistic methods of healing.

We have discovered that physical and psychospiritual healing has to do with a shift in the mind,

in the thought processes of the individual.

Thus we are actively seeking healing versus curing of illnesshealing having to do with

the whole person and curing, in contrast, which focuses on making the physical symptoms

go away without consideration of psychospiritual, cultural, social, and environmental factors.

We observe that too many doctors and the other facets of healthcare really arent in the

ministry of healing; they are in the business of curing.

For example, a surgeon can successfully remove a physical tumor, but not deal with the various

factors that may have contributed to that tumor.

Nor do most surgeons follow up by in having the patient implement wholistic preventative

and health-promoting practices.

Neither do they deal with the emotions and mind of the individual, the thought processes

of the individual that lead to so many decisions that affects ones health.

And, even if a doctor would want to be more wholistic, most insurance companies will pay

for surgery but not for the additional health-promoting and preventative follow-up treatment.

Most of us who are community members in GCCA feel that we are in an accelerated process

of healing and, whether accelerated or more gradual, healing can be very challenging,

intense, and psychologically (as well as physically) painful.

Though I see my entire life as a process of continued healing and unfolding into more

expanded wholeness, I went through an extremely challenging period of a few years of intense

healing, struggling with physical symptoms that were really scary and very uncomfortable

and at times almost unbearably painful.

In order for me to get through my physical condition and actually heal, I had to deal

with lots of personal psychospiritual issues, at an accelerated pace if I was going to physically

survive.

Though today I am no longer able to ride a bicycle many miles or hike up to fifteen miles

a day, I can hike and walk up to four miles and swim lots of laps.

Though my physical vehicle (body) wont allow me to do as many activities as I enjoyed

in the past, at 61 I realize that I am healthier than I have ever been in my entire life.

In my letting-go of many of my attachments, I became free of a lot of mindal pressure

that contributed to tremendous stress on my physical body and which culminated in a serious

physical illness.

Being a product of the dominant cultures fast and frantic pace, I was a person who

moved quickly through life, experiencing much and living with many changes throughout my

youth and adulthood.

For decades I was on a fast-track in acquiring an undergraduate- and graduate-college education,

exploring various religious practices, befriending many people of various walks of life, and

raising three children while I worked with dedication (teaching up to one hundred and

twenty-five students a day when I was in the public school system).

For a time I lived with the challenge of being a single parent, managing the family, home,

and profession, and, of course, at a maddeningly fast pace.

Though I was a deeply spiritual person, I was not deep enough, for I was in too much

of a hurry getting things done, pursuing many personal agendas, and so on.

When I finally slowed down enough to really listen to the call of the Spirit within me,

I realized that if I did not stop racing around being a superwoman, I would go crazy.

In that slowing down and quieting myself and listening to what I refer to as the call

of God, I was able to begin to allow certain doors to open that led to a series of events

that ended up where I am todayliving in a wonderful intentional community, having

a lifestyle that is fulfilling and nourishing on all levels of being, and thriving in a

highly meaningful avocation.

It was not until I was living in an active intentional community, where my ideals could

be practiced more fully in a life of wholeness and connection (rather than in compartments),

that I really began the hard work of accelerated healing that, interestingly, seemed to me

at the same time to be restful and playful.

So it was a wonderful thing that happened to me when, about twelve years ago, I was

bed-ridden for more than three months.

During that time my heart beat very slowly, and I could not even get up to walk to the

bathroom.

It seemed as if my heart was saying, I am not going to beat any faster than this,

and this is the way it is.

So, get with this new program, lady! Im sure that there are some medical theories

as to why my heart slowed down, but more important to me are the psychospiritual reasons.

I had to be slowed down so that I could be very present to hear that small, quiet voice

of God, which really isnt very small at all.

It can be quite loud if you are listening.

I needed to be forced to sit in a circle of quiet for a lot longer than five minutes,

or twenty minutes, or a day.

In that circle of quiet where I lived for those months, I became enlightened and aware

of some unresolved issues, some incorrect perceptions, and some ego stuff. I also

realized that I had been living for most of my life with deep, smoldering anger and resentment.

And I thought I had gotten a handle on all of that when I was in my 30s!

Believing that I am a person who has had a few past lives, it seemed that I had many

lifetime chapters, many layers of experiences where I, as a woman on this Earth, had been

broken and beaten down by oppressive and abusive people and circumstances, although, interestingly,

I have not experienced oppression in this current life.

In order for me to heal, my resentment and anger (no matter where it came from) had to

be addressed and dispelled, or transformed into something productive and helpful.

As I discovered, resentment is simply unexpressed anger and, if not appropriately and effectively

expressed, anger can sit deep inside you and manifest in some sort of physical dis-ease,

even coming through in a next life.

Because I lived in a community culture that encouraged deep reflection and inner work

on transmuting incorrect and harmful thought-forms and patterns, and because I had the physical

and emotional support of fellow community members, all those years ago I was able to

retreat for more than three months within the community settingin my own bedto

rest, reflect, process, release, and acquiesce.

I began to heal and transform, and I continue to unfold more fully into my wholeness, outgrowing

that which I no longer need in order to ever expand into a more loving, insightful, and

wise person.

In the wonderful diversity of persons living in Global Community Communications Alliance,

we are reminded daily that each one of us is undergoing an ongoing, personal, and unique

healing process.

We believe that in order for our planet to heal, a unity (not uniformity) needs to happen

on a global level.

But in order for us to begin to feel that union with others-that union of souls within

our uniqueness and our diversity-we must realize that what we all have in common is our need

to heal, and that healing is an ongoing process.

From the very beginning, our experiment in community has emphasized creating an environment

that in every way supports healing and health.

Beautiful homes and gardens, tasty organic food, clean water, fresh air, diverse and

satisfying work, a strong connection with the natural world, time and tools for creativity,

commitment to doing good for others, practicing clear communication, healthy diversion and

recreation, a dynamic spiritual life, and a willingness to do the work necessary for

healing to occur are important to us.

So far, the experiment begun in 1989 has borne many fruits of healing for community members,

even though some of those community members have eventually passed on.

And all along the beautiful healing journeys that we continue to experience, we are reminded

by one of our Elders: Want to be a healer?

Then first heal yourself by becoming as a creekalways dynamic, flowing, moving, and

cleansing.

Schatz Sessions quip 'an insult to the people of the state of Hawaii' - Duration: 13:09.

Schatz Sessions quip 'an insult to the people of the state of Hawaii'

Hawaii Sen. Brian Schatz said Attorney General Jeff Sessions insulted the people of Hawaii

when he dismissed a ruling against the Trump administration's travel ban as merely the

actions of a "judge sitting on an island in the Pacific."

"This is an insult to the people of the state of Hawaii," Schatz said of Session's characterization

of the state during an appearance Friday on CNN.

"We are an island chain.

Not one island.

And the way he seems to characterize our federal judge and our American taxpayers is that somehow

we're less legitimate than the rest of the country."

chatz went on to vouch for home state, adding: "We're very proud of who we are and what we

contribute to the country."

The Hawaii Democrat also criticized the Trump administration's repeated verbal attacks against

sitting

U.S. judges.
