Youtube daily me Sep 24 2017

hello ladies and gentlemen this is Jacky Lee and you're watching Once Upon

a church here today how's it going everybody? now this video is a little bit

about my channel updates also five Christian tags that I've been tagged by

Jereton Edwards. Basically what this is is that a lot of Christian youtubers

would tag each other and then we answer questions about ourselves to get to know

each other and also let the community know what we are like. Now this video is

for my subscribers and also the people who just came to my channel so I hope

you guys get to know me a lot more better now Jereton spiced it up a bit and

added the sounds that satisfy him so today I want to show you the feelings

and sounds that satisfy me. So im gonna roll out the things I'm gonna talk about

today

all right this really satisfies me like the feeling of the cracking neck feels

amazing... Second thing that satisfy me is breaking ankles now I don't literally

mean breaking someones ankle. Now if you don't play basketball maybe you'll see people

crossover when you get a ball and you just like weesch.... the other side and it's

like the opponent falls down because you're too quick and too Swift for them

and that is an amazing feeling. First question, three youtubers inspire me

first youtuber I love this guy his name is called Mica Caldito. now that guy

is a singer... beautiful singer! and I fell in love with his voice and it's really

inspiring to how I sing as well and no I'm not gonna sing for you... I'm trying to

that's all you can get... so I highly recommend you check out his channel his

voice is just beautiful and sometimes he even replies to me on Twitter saying I

can use his songs in my videos. Awesome eh? Second youtuber that inspires me is a

team this one is called Bible project now those guys are awesome to be honest

I really think their content is top-notch everything I learned in there

always seemed to like just increase my knowledge about God and everything I

learned it can be applied in real life everything I learn about the Bible I

never thought off. There's so many things that can talk about in the Bible that I

never actually thought I knew pretty sure I spent hours and hours watching

their video at once if you're keen to learn more about the Bible learning new

things or maybe just get an overview of what the Bible is about go to that

channel you won't regret it next one

wong fu productions now wong fu productions is a team of people making films now

they're a team of asian-americans and for me it's kind of relatable but except

I'm in New Zealand so I'm Asian New Zealander or Asian Kiwi. Actually i think it's

Kiwi Asian but New Zealanders are called Kiwis, Kiwis are called New Zealanders

that's how we call ourselves and a lot of times they make videos from a

perspective of an Asian living in America or maybe someone who just

migrated to like a foreign country and they're really funny there's

cinematography is so well done that just inspires me to make more films like then

second question three things that I'm good at now for me I think I'm good at a range

of sports I love going around and just learning new sports learning new muscle

memory I like to learn sports to improve my overall coordination and also to just

improve my mentality now second thing is I think I'm pretty good at making films

I'm not saying that I'm like a Peter Jackson or a Christopher Nolan kind of

guy but at least maybe something that it's relatively decent for people to

watch now I just want to say to another Christian youtuber joel jovaine you

have been doing a lot of sunset videos and I want to show you how I did it you

just started like a sunset battle and I just want to show you what I'm capable

of so here are my video footages of sunsets

in New Zealand

I'm pretty sure that is pretty epic and I caught those from my drone which I

got in my recent vlog so check that out as well put a little link right there

now the third thing that I think that I am pretty good at is that I have the

patience to grind. now making youtube videos is pretty hard you have to be

consistent you have to do it like I say every week you do at least one and like

a lot of times people give up Midway but for me I know that I do not give up that

easily like I used to play this game called clash of clans and I was like

Town Hall 10, I grinded every single wall everything till max level that took me

two years to do and I did not spend money on edge I kind did but.... Third question

what am i excited about now for me I love watching superhero films or TV show and

the ones I'm really excited for is justice league and Avenger not to

mention the flash TV show ever since I was a kid I always watch like superhero

movies it's something that I grew up with Justice League Unlimited flash

cartoon series Superman Batman spider-man you may have noticed that I'm

kind of a nerd but that's who I am number four what I do where I relax now

for me I love going to the beach it's something that I really like to do it

really relaxes me I love to sound the waves hitting on the shore I love how

there's animals around like doing their own thing and also just things I like

kids playing around the beaches it just really eases my mood and it really

relaxes me especially when I'm really stressed out three youtubers that I have

to tag number one Caleb from gamerfaith you have to do it number two Phoebe Jay

and Third Jeff from That Bold Life now if you don't know Jeff, Jeff is an awesome

guy he makes Christian videos about motivation and also education about

Christianity and to help you grow as a Christian is looked at this video I saw

the vault boy from him and that's from a game called fallout and it was awesome

and I instantly fell in love with this chant it's like we have this like common

interests in games already and if you haven't already definitely check out

those channels and tell them that I tagged them in this video so they can

make a Christian tag video and if you're new here definitely check out my channel

and also feel free to click on the subscribe button and the notifications

button if you have ready now have you have any questions

about me definitely put them in the comment section below and I'll pretty

much answer them or I do a video about it anyways I'll see you guys next time

alright peace

한국어 배우고 달라진 나! How learning Korean changed me 🇿🇦 🇰🇷 - Duration: 8:15.

Hi everyone, it's Lindie

Today's topic is how after I learnt Korean,

how I changed.

Yeah, about that.

I'll be talking about my habits,

language-related things, and

opportunities. What kind of interesting opportunities have come my way since I started learning.

So first is habits.

Like many other foreigners learning Korean,

sometimes when I get hurt I say "aigoo"

or "omo"

I react like that

When I'm surprised I'll say "omona" or "aigoo"

The second habit is that I started eating Kimchi

When I was a high school student I worked in a Korean restaurant part-time

I slowly started eating Kimchi there.

And I really don't think I can live without kimchi now.

I'll show you my fridge and you can see I have a big glass jar of Kimchi there.

The third habit is taking of my shoes at home

My family lived in Japan for a long time

and in Japan of course one takes off their shoes at home

I don't know if that habit is something I picked up after learning Korean or after having lived in Japan.

I can't distinguish that, but in any case, I personally take my shoes off at home most of the time.

The next point: when I take notes, I usually write in Hangul.

Hangul words are a lot faster to write than English words since they can be written in a shorthand manner.

For example: I'm a designer

and when I got design homework as a student, I would write in my diary ㄷㅈ for "Design" [디자인]

Its a lot faster than writing out "design" in English.

So my diary and planner usually has a lot of Korean written in it.

Any notes I take are usually in Korean since it's faster.

And I think my handwriting has changed too!

Lots of Koreans have similar English handwriting styles [because of the geometric structure of the Hangul alphabet]

When [Koreans] write the letter "i", sometimes the "i" is written with a line instead of a dot.

I also somewhat started writing like that.

Probably because I write Korean a lot more than I do English!

Ok! Point 2 is languages

Korean and other languages - how they changed and so forth.

When I was in high school, I listened to a lot of Kpop

Korean bands often release Japanese songs

I think it was SHINee, a Korean band, that released some Japanese songs

So thanks to Kpop I secondhandedly got introduced to Japanese

And I became interested in Japanese

I started learning Japanese a bit more,

and I realized the two langauges have lots of similarity to Chinese.

Hanja and some words are similar

so I thought, "let me learn Chinese too!"

Thanks to Korean, I started learning both Japanese and Chinese. Thanks, Korean!

And another thing related to languages,

I started reading a lot of interesting books.

There's a bookshop closed to Gyeongbok-goong in Seoul, I think its called Kyobo books,

I went to Kyobo books and it was like heaven!

I thought "wow, Koreans must really love reading books"

We don't really have such big book stores in South Africa, and

people don't read as much here either.

So when I was in Korea, I bought a few books

and I also got some books from friends

Thanks to learning Korean,

I got introduced to some excellent books.

Third point is

opportunities.

What kind of interesting opportunities I've experienced

Let's take a look

First,

I was able to visit Korea.

The Korean embassy in South Africa had a competition where you had to make a video about why you love Korea

When I was in high school, I made a silly little video like "Hi, I like Korea blah blah"

But thanks to that video I received the first prize, which was a ticket to South Korea

And I finally visited Korea

When I was in Korea, I also starred in a travel program on Arirang TV called Travel Story.

If I hadn't started learning the beautiful Korean language, I don't think opportunities like these would have popped up.

Another nice opportunity is...

There is a design exhibition called Incheon Design Fair (INDEF) in Incheon

A really close friend of mine who studied the same major as I (information design) invited me to participate

So last year

my design works were exhibited in Incheon and also printed in the catalogue.

I feel like if I didn't learn Korean, things like this wouldn't have happened.

And a few years ago

when I worked at a Korean restaurant (in South Africa)

there was a magazine that was always delivered to the restaurant

Korean magazine. When there were no customers, I'd sit and read the magazine, marking words I didn't know.

I read the magazine a lot

and decided to write an email to them.

"Hi, I'm South African and I really like your magazine" etc

I sent them an email like that and then they featured me in their magazine.

I thought that that was quite an exciting moment in my life.

And I also think my fashion sense, handwriting

and design style has changed.

Korean typography

difficult word!

I'm really interested in designing Korean fonts

I've designed one Korean font before

When I design a font (in English), I try to design a matching Korean version

I think my design style has been influenced by Korean design as well.

I really like Korean design.

And in terms of my fashion sense,

I bought a lot of clothes in Korea, so I guess that's why my style may have changed

I buy a lot of clothes in Japan/Asia, so I've heard that my fashion style doesn't seem "South African".

And finally, the best point is that I've made many special friends.

I've also met some of my subscribers

I usually talk a lot on Kakao Talk

So I've made some nice friends on there too.

I also have a language exchange Open Talk room on Kakao

the link is in the description if you want to join!

Thanks to apps like Kakao, I've made good friendships

I'm so glad I started learning Korean!

So happy. Thank you, Korean!

This was quite a long video, but thank you for watching

I just wanted to share my love for Korea

Please give this video a like and subscribe if you haven't already!

See you next time! Bye!

True Detective | S01E06 | Don't Lie To Me | The Letters of Telios De Lorca | eng. subs - Duration: 4:35.

We're closed.

You always hit the bottle this early in the day, Reverend?

Who are you?

You don't remember me?

Hmm?

I came to see you at your revival tent,

January of '95.

Looks like you gave that up.

Mid-eighties.

You were still with the Tuttle ministry then.

What do you know about a Tuttle organization

that was set up to

finance rural schools?

It was called Wellspring.

It was an Evangelical initiative to provide religious education

as an alternative to public school

in the rural communities.

Yeah, part of the reason there was so many dropouts in the state, a lot of kids had to

bus an hour or more.

You know about that school on Pelican Island?

I don't know it specific,

but there was one in 1988.

Accusations of children being interfered with.

I never found anything on that.

It was-- it was kept internal, I think.

Maybe it was nothing, maybe people was paid.

It's got nothing to do with me, mind you.

I was going to school in Baton Rouge.

Gossip around the seminary, but we didn't give credence to rumors.

Why'd you leave?

Bureaucracy.

Politics.

Don't lie to me.

Why'd you leave?

Part of our lay duties was custodial.

One night, cleaned the senior minister's library.

I knocked over a very old volume,

"The Letters of Telios DeLorca."

Twelfth-century Franciscan mystic, very obscure.

When I picked up the book,

this little folder falls out.

Little folder of pictures.

Pictures of children.

Naked.

Looked like they was sleeping.

And what'd you do?

I took it over to the morals officer,

Deacon Farrar.

He was close to Tuttle, vice president of the college.

He didn't do nothin'?

No, he seemed..

He got angry that I brought it to him.

He even intimated that

maybe I was confessing to something.

I mean, I had to prove to him that I wasn't.

He promised to look into it.

I'd left by the time Wellspring shut down.

Why'd you quit the revival, hmm?

Oh, our last two tents was vandalized.

I lost heart.

Little too much of this.

All my life, I wanted to be nearer to God.

But the only nearness..

Silence.

Why Paying at German Restaurants MADE ME SO NERVOUS - Duration: 6:47.

I've made a few videos now about German things that I'm not really so good at doing.

But so today, let's look at something in Germany that I'm proud to say I think I

have finally truly mastered.

Hey everyone! I'm Dana and you're watching Wanted Adventure Living Abroad.

Paying at restaurants in Germany and the U.S...it can't really be that different can it?

Yes, it can. And yes it is.

I went into a lot of detail on how paying works in American restaurants in this video

here, so you can check that out for more information on that.

But I would say that the big difference that I really struggled with and bumbled around

with the most was the level of secrecy.

What in the world do I mean by that?

Okay, so everything in the U.S. surrounding payment in restaurants is very hush-hush.

Literally and figuratively.

What you pay for the meal is just between you and the server.

The rest of the table doesn't have to find out, unless you tell them.

And basically, you can actually pay for the meal without having to talk to anyone about

the price.

Let's imagine this scenario for a second: you're out with some friends, and it's

their anniversary.

And so you actually wanted to take them out to dinner, you want to treat them.

You have a really great evening.

You get appetizers and meals and desserts.

And then the bill comes. It's time to pay.

In the U.S. you would be brought the check in a little black booklet for your eyes and

your eyes only.

You'd slip your cash or your credit card inside and then hand it back to the server.

They'd bring it back to you with a payment slip to sign if you paid with card and a receipt

for you.

Then you add in the tip or leave cash, shut the booklet and leave the restaurant with

your guests having no idea how much you just spent on dinner, and the server often doesn't

find out what you actually left as a tip until you're already gone.

Or at least halfway out the door.

Not the case in Germany.

In Germany at the end of the meal the server appears and asks if you're going to be paying

together or separately.

You say together and so then he or she either hands you a slip of paper with the amount

that you owe on it or even sometimes they will announce out loud how much you owe.

If you're paying cash, then you hand the server more than the amount and announce how

much they should make the full bill including their tip.

So for example, if the total came to twenty-five euros you might hand them thirty and

then say: make it twenty-eight.

Then they would give you back two euros.

Or you can hand them the full amount exactly as you'd like to pay; the amount that the

dinner costs plus the tip, and then say "Stimmt so," which basically means "keep the change."

And all of this used to be super stressful for me for a few different reasons.

For one, it meant actually speaking German, which especially when I first moved here was,

in and of itself, a very stressful situation for me.

And it also meant that I would have to say German numbers, which often tripped me up

even more than "normal" words because numbers here in Germany are kind of reverse.

So instead of saying twenty-one, in German it is literally one and twenty.

So my brain was already really struggling with all of that.

But I also just felt super awkward about the whole announcing of the bill and announcing

of the tip thing.

For one, if I was treating people to the meal, I didn't really want them to know how much

the whole thing had cost, how much I had just spent on them.

And then on top of that there was the tipping.

It just made me feel so awkward to announce what I was tipping both in front of the other

people at my table, and here in Germany, because of how it's done, basically you have to look

the server directly in the eyes and tell them how much you thought their service had been worth!

People here in Germany often assumed that I was a high tipper because I'm from America.

Nope!

It was actually because I just felt so awkward tipping anything less than a lot in that situation.

Especially when I first moved here and I didn't really yet know what was a "normal" tip in Germany.

But anyway, now I have really, totally gotten the hang of this!

Of course, okay, yes -- my German has improved so actually just speaking to the server is

no longer a problem.

Numbers do sometimes still trip me up, but then we all get a good laugh at it, so that's okay.

But the big thing here is that it really does not bother me anymore to announce my tip to

the servers or say in front of my friends how much I'm paying.

I finally figured out: why should I feel awkward about it?

It's just the way it is.

So my question for you is: which style of paying do you like more, the German one or

the U.S. one?

Or is there a different style of payment out there in the world that you prefer more?

And what has been your experience with tipping around the world?

Please let me know in the comments below.

Thanks so much for watching.

I really hope that you enjoyed this video.

And also a really big thank you so much to our patrons on Patreon who help make these

videos possible.

Thank you so much for your support.

If you would like to check out our Patreon page you can find a link to that down in the

description box below.

Until next time, auf Wiedersehen!

So my question for you is: which paying style do you like more, Germany or the U.S.?

And...

Not the case in Germany. At...

In the U.S., you would be delivered the bill in a...

That I really struggled and kind of bumbled around with...

I know, it might seem crazy...

GET READY WITH ME | Night Out With Friends #Ad - Duration: 5:57.

Get Ready With Me: Party With Friends

Well, It seems like I have to get ready now!

First thing I'm going to do is get my hair dry as it is soaked from the shower

I do this because I'm in a bit of a rush and if not, my hair would take ages to get dry

Once my hair is more or less dry I'm going to get started with my make-up

I'm starting with a bit of moisturizer as always

And as my skin is fine today I'm not using any foundation

I'm going straight to mattifying powder

I'm using these from Sephora, they're my favourite

Because my skin tends to get really shiny either from sweat or pure dryness

So I'm starting with that all over my face, specially on the T zone

I then go ahead to apply some bronzing powder for contouring

I use the Hoola Bronzer from Benefit as they're my favourite

I apply it bellow my cheekbones and a bit all over my face as my tan is starting to fade

I then grab the Burgundy Palette from Maybelline

Which has some colours I love but in this case I'll only be using the lighter ones

The lightest one I'll use in the inner corners of my eyes

And this other slightly darker one on the rest of the lid to give it a little light, as they are satin

And then this darker brown on the crease of my eyelids

Because as I have hooded eyelids

It makes the ilusion of a more normal, bigger eyeshape

And then I blend it all in so it looks like my eyes are a bit larger

Then I'm grabbing the Curvitude liner from Maybelline

Which I absolutely love as it is so precise

And the fact that it is curved it makes applying it so much easier

And as I have small, hooded eyes

The fact that I can draw such a skinny line on my eyes

Makes the ilusion of much bigger, more open eyes

Now I'm combing my eyebrows and my eyelashes

Because I still have some of my lash extensions left from this summer

So im my upper lashes I'm not applying any makeup, just combing them

But on my lower lashes I'm applying the Lash Sensational mascara from Maybelline

And I really love this mascara

So I'm applying that on my lower lashes as there was no makeup there, and my eyes will look more open and awake

To finish off I'm applying nº20 of the Matte Ink from Maybelline

I love this colour because it's really Taylor Swift-like

So I'm applying it as usual on my lips

It's really easy to apply as the tip is very thin, so it's perfect for the lip contour

And my final trick, tissue so we don't get any lipstick on our teeth

And that would be the final makeup done

As you can see, really easy, really quick and perfect for a night out

Now I'm straightening my hair a bit

I don't want to do any fancy hairstyles

As my outfit is going to be a bit "out there" and the makeup also stands out with the red lips

So I'm just straightening it and that's it

As for clothes, I'm going out with friends so I want to be really comfortable

So I think I'm going to go for a pair of jeans

And probably a basic t-shirt

Because I don't want to complicate things

My "ninja trick" to be comfortable at night but also dress acordingly

Is adding a statment piece to my outfit

In this case, this sequin jacket with fringe

And I'm wearing this even though I know it's a weird mix

But I love it. It's really casual

But then... BAM! Tons os sequins!

As for shoes I could wear some high heels, that would be the obvious choice

But the plan is to dance all night

So that's not an option anymore as some high heels would kill my feet

So I'm going for sneakers

It's not a big deal, life's too short for heels

And my crazy sequin jacket makes up for the sneakers, I think!

And that's it! I'm ready for a night out

That's the finished look

I know it's a bit weird

I don't know, maybe it's not what you would have picked up

But I really love it, specially mixing up a really basic and casual look with the sequins and the red lips
