Elite Dangerous : Changes to Land missions - The Return 2.4 Nerfed or Fixed ? - Duration: 7:04.

Hello is commander Ricardo and I'm here in the WU GUINAGI system to see if

there are any changes or what changes have been made so they're ground-based

missions and rank up missions that you can generally get in Imperial in

Federation territories now it was long room with that one of the updates would

address the fact that you could have multiple missions I managed to get three

planetary scan missions wartime scan missions and n1 take out your

emplacement power grid now in regards to the scanning missions only getting three

is a bit of a blow in past videos you would have seen me with my Imperial rank

up videos you would have seen me go and get possibly even eight to ten missions

of that ilk now it seems that frontier developments have turned around and only

limited those to a few and sometimes those aren't even that lucrative the

ones I managed to get were about 1.5 to 2 million each though when returning to

the base they were quite mediocre to say the least

so I've landed on the planet's surface

after making my approach I'm in my SRV so I'm going to attempt to go into the

base now I'll shoot the skimmers first because they've got a bounty on them but

I won't bore you with that scan the data that data nodes

and then see what effect it has on the three scanning missions that I have

inside my transaction lock now in the past by scanning one of the hubs would

have meant that you complete all missions in your repertoire by scanning

one I've only completed one mission fortunately this base has several these

data nodes so now by scanning another one

hopefully I'll complete yet another mission this mean that yes just one stop

to one planetary base will suffice however providing they've got multiple

data nodes so you can see that my planetary scan job there has been

completed the one in the middle hasn't because I'm out of storage even though

this was a damn good urn back in the day in past releases in 2.3 I'm actually

glad it's been addressed because you've got to try and install some sort of

balance of power so here I am again I'm going to another data point I'm gonna

scan that

and that should allow me and they will receive data storage is

full I've got full data storage I really should prepare this better but

the mission has been deed being completed just going to show that in

this instance I was able to hit one base land get into my SRV role in their scam

the data nodes and scan all of those data nodes what I did I had three

missions and then complete all the missions that I was assigned thank you

very much best part of six to seven million

so time now to return to all the different stations that I visited in the

work in IKEA system to cash in and see how much money I'm gonna make

and Here I am back in Segal dock where I got some of the missions and there's

three bases in this system as I've mentioned before there I am clear my

reward my planetary scan missions thank you very much

much money for me but what's gone is deliver this information here deliver

that information there and you could get loads of those missions and for the new

player you could earn quite a bit of money if you wanted to try and upgrade

from that hauler to a cobra mark 3 so that's one of the

first things I noticed secondly going back into the mission boards you weren't

able to stack them like you could as I mentioned I managed to get three and

also a destroy this generator mission now this may be because the game

mechanics have been reset I mean I'm allied with all factions in this system

so if anything was gonna show itself I'm assuming it would have but not to worry

I mean it was still quite a good earn I was able to sell the materials I picked

up from the planet surface I was able to to sell the materials that reward for

doing the planetary scan and destruction missions and also reap the rewards of

the actual missions themselves now in this system you were able to do quite a

bit of inter station trading and by that I mean you were able to take huge

payloads between the two other hub stations within the system in addition

and also that to Van royan in the other system now that seems to have gone in

its place quite a bit of mining now I am there any mining within the game yet

that's something I've been meaning to get round with but you know they keep

putting interesting stuff like fur goods in the way but it is something I am

gonna have to get my head round so in some of the hubs now it cam Enterprise

again no real missions to speak of one or two

destroy this missions destroy the generator go over there scan this but to

be fair this seems to be well and truly nerved anyway I've been Ricardo and it

has been a leak dangerous to point for the return and a quick look of what's

happened to planetary scan missions and the ability to get multiple missions in

your repertoire and then finishing them all off by scanning one base thanks very

much for watching and check back for more videos

Las Vegas high rise condos for sale or rent - Duration: 6:01.

Las Vegas high-rise condos for sale or rent Las Vegas high-rise condos for sale are divided

into two distinct categories, residential towers and condo hotels or condotels.

The main difference is how long units can be rented and how the rental income is divided,

which we will discuss in each project's own page, that you can find in the sidebar.

Additionally Las Vegas residential units have appreciated far more than condotels since

the recovery of 2011.

Locations: While condotels like Palms Place or Signature

at MGM Grand are close to but not on the Las Vegas Strip, residential projects can be divided

to on or off Strip which we show in our interactive Las Vegas high-rise and mid-rise luxury condo

map and a video explaining it.

Condominium towers are shown by star icons and City Center towers by tear drops.

Mid-rise luxury condominium projects are shown with diamonds.

When you click on an icon it will show you the street address, zip code and year built.

Let's talk about the importance of Las Vegas high-rise condo market updates

If you are planning to sell or buy a unit, don't you think that having a good knowledge

of the market is essential to making the right offer or setting the correct asking price?

However, if you Google Las Vegas high-rise condo market, you will quickly find that we

are the only Las Vegas Realtors who are proving with facts and figures that we are in a buyer's

market.

The rest keep talking about a lively market and how condominiums are undervalued.

But as you will see in the Overview of Las Vegas high-rise condo market for 2017 the

median price of condos had been hovering around $320,000 from 2013-2015 before falling to

$280,000 in 2016.

Then, how can they be undervalued?

This lack of knowledge is reflected in many units selling for tens or hundreds of thousands

of dollars less than the asking list price with a lowball offer after languishing on

the market for a long time.

This is due to incorrect pricing which hurts the seller badly.

However, sellers are not without fault as they go for the listing agent who "tells"

them that he can get the highest price without proving it using correct comps.

Even though the market fell by 12.5% in 2016, it doesn't apply to all condo towers, for

example Veer Towers, Metropolis and One Las Vegas actually gained value.

In Las Vegas high-rise condo appreciation rate since recovery of 2011 we have tracked

the median price per square foot of units for each tower since 2011 which is when the

market bottomed out.

Given the variety of condominiums, the best measure for bang for the buck is price per

square foot which we have used in our research.

As you can see the highest appreciating tower is Metropolis at 76.7% median price appreciation

and the lowest were a couple of condo hotels at 11.3%.

Please find the link for the map and market reports in the sidebar.

If you are looking for updated Las Vegas high-rise condos for sale or rent listings we have the

most comprehensive and frequently updated MLS for you and have a MLS search link for

both for sale or rental listings in each tower's page.

Searching for Las Vegas high-rise condos for sale is easy.

All you have to do is to find the tower's name in the drop down menu provided.

However, the same is not true for Las Vegas high-rise condos for rent.

Many projects have had a name change or use a different name than the one registered in

Clark County that the Las Vegas MLS uses.

For example, if you want to rent a unit in Residences in Mandarin Oriental Hotel, you

have to search for the incredibly imaginative name of Resort Condo at Luxury Building or

in the case of The Martin you have to search for Panorama Phase 3.

There are others as well.

This is the reason that we have included a rental link in each project's page.

Keep track of your favorite listings by registering for a property listing manager account and

new listings that match your criteria will be e-mailed to you immediately and you will

be the first to know if there is a price drop on your favorite unit.

Lastly, needless to say Las Vegas High-rise condominium projects are within close proximity

to world class shopping, entertainment and dining.

They also come with full amenities like pool, spa, fitness center, security, etc.

Some offer very nice views and an elevator directly to the units.

However, we are not in the business of advertising for them, our job is to give you information

needed to buy, sell or rent a unit like comprehensive market reports, HOA fees, minimum rental periods

and much more.

If you are looking to buy Las Vegas high-rise condos for sale or having trouble finding

suitable Las Vegas high-rise condos for rent, don't hesitate to call us at 702-478-7800

or contact us, you can find the link below the video along with the video transcript

and the link for the page with the embedded video.

On behalf of The Saber Team this is Karen Saberzadeh of Realty One Group and www.lasvegas4us.com

wishing you a great day.

IS HALO 3 BACK?! OR IS THE DREAM DEAD?! - Halo 3 Backwards Compatible & 10th Anniversary Thoughts - Duration: 10:24.

I got to spend my Sunday sitting on my couch playing Halo 3 multiplayer.

Xbox 360, wired controller, HD CRT, awesome 5.1 surround sound.

For some of the gameplay, my fiancee was relaxing next to me.

For the rest, she was playing Dragon Age Inquisition at her PC across the room.

This is quite different from my normal Sundays - usually spent rushing to get things done

or make last-minute content.

This felt more like high school, where I would spend all day on Halo 3 and didn't have

a care in the world about it.

I don't normally let myself do this, but I spent the day before at a college football

game with my dad and got sunburned to hell and back so moving isn't exactly fun.

But it's not the same.

It's not 2008, 2009, or 2010 anymore.

Halo 3 doesn't hold up.

It may have been my favorite game - probably of all time - but the netcode and the 30FPS

cap just don't work today.

I could make due with the lower frame rate, floaty and slow movement, and projectile bullet

spread - that was how the game played originally - if it wasn't for the net code.

It's baaaad now.

Don't get me wrong - while people didn't complain about it quite as much back in the

day unless someone was running a lag switch, those of us who spent a lot of time in Team

SWAT or Snipers knew the net code for Halo 3 was just plain bad.

But adding in a new generation of consoles and shutting down half the servers on the

back-end has not done it any favors.

Halo 3 was one of my favorite games, especially for multiplayer.

Call of Duty 4 was right up there, as well.

But I still play CoD4 to this day - or at least until the remaster came out and then

played MWR off and on to this day - because it held up.

The netcode wasn't as bad, the sprint mechanic allowed it to feel modern, but grounded, as

the series evolved, and the availability on different platforms meant my move to PC didn't

mean I had to stop playing the game - heck, CoD4 was much better and more populated on

PC!

But Halo 3 hasn't been playable for a long time.

Low population and deteriorating networking actually lead me to give up on it after a

last hurrah in the summer of 2013.

That wasn't supposed to be the end of my time with the game, though.

The Master Chief Collection for the new Xbox One was on the horizon and was supposed to

be the definitive collection of Halo games so we could keep playing them, but with updated

graphics and new networking.

I bought my Xbox One specifically for this purpose, and by time I did - at Halo 5's

launch, MCC had already fallen into a broken nightmare with little population itself.

Fast forward a couple years, and sure - I was slightly hopeful that Halo 3 backwards

compatibility would bring new population and give me my game back.

But I knew what to expect.

I stayed vocal for a long time about the need to fix MCC and focus on that if 343 Industries

ever expected to have our respect as a developer and face of Halo.

I knew what to expect, but I was still disappointed.

Don't get me wrong - I've had fun with Halo 3, and it was nice to just hang out and

game all day on it, something I haven't done in a long time.

But I wouldn't call it the most playable game in the world at this point.

I certainly am not going to join in the hype train expressing gratitude to 343 for this,

especially since this is the opposite of what they should've done.

And to be honest, I bet it was Microsoft that pushed and even handled the backwards compatibility

updates, as they need to be able to say you can play all the Halo games on one console

- and they no longer could with MCC the way it is.

To see the same developers and community leads hyping up and expressing excitement for the

re-launch of Bungie's Halo 3 while they just never bothered to fix theirs is just…

kind of disgusting.

Not only that, but I don't really find the Xbox One version all that playable.

Connections felt worse, input lag felt worse, and I had performance issues compared to original

hardware, and their way of upscaling the already-upscaled original 720p output just looks blurry.

Plus - I simply can't stand the analog sticks on the Xbox One.

The X and Y acceleration is different and has never felt right since day one with the

console.

So I booted it up on original hardware.

Popped in my cracking Halo 3 Mythic disc and set it up on my HD CRT with some glorious

surround sound.

This isn't super accurate to my original experiences, much of my time was spent on

a big rear-projection TV or normal CRTs, but it was closer than my 21" console gaming

monitor.

And I never really played Halo 3 much with real surround sound - it's freaking great.

So good, that I set up the 3Dio FreeSpace binaural mic that I have on loan for review

for the tech channel to capture some of how it sounds, just to experiment.

It feels a little better on original hardware for sure - but the networking is still trash.

Population seemed decent - about 2300 or so online when I first jumped on in the morning

or early afternoon, but dropped to 1300 by time I got off in the evening.

Most playlists had 0 population, so I mainly had to stick to Social Slayer, which was fine.

I'd say… one out of every five or so matches was truly playable?

Lag, red bars, rubberbanding, disappearing people, half or whole teams quitting out at

random points in almost every game, etc.

And with how Halo 3 works, the more people that drop out, the more likely for a host

migration and for the connection to actually get worse.

Like I said, Halo 3's netcode was always bad, but it wasn't this bad.

So I got a few good matches, but most of the time I was just getting destroyed while on

a team of 2 or 3 versus 5, and there were plenty of times where I swapped weapons like

3 or 4 times because the delay of my actions was so significant.

The good matches I had, were fun.

Had a few matches where I seriously carried, a couple really close and rewarding matches

where I didn't mind if I did lose, and some generally fun experiences - even if the usual

betrayers showed up to steal your sniper.

I was pleasantly surprised that they appear to have unlocked the old "Bungie Pro"

extended File Share capacity for everyone, which makes it easier for me to save clips

on the 360 in my main gaming area and then record them from my Xbox One over at my workstation

- except NOPE.

It literally won't download anything from my File Share.

Just keeps failing and bugging out and being unable to access it.

Oh well, was worth a shot.

But I can use it while leaving my last-uploaded clips from 2010, 2012, and 2013 where they

belong.

They also left up the last "Bungie Favorites" release from 2008 and 2009.

Maybe it'd be fun to explore those for a quick follow-up video.

That was a fun community-initiative that made Bungie feel like they were involved.

I miss that and the original File Forums so dearly.

Halo 3 is a fun game and it was nice to get to play it again, but I can't confidently

say I'd keep playing it regularly.

It's just too frustrating to have so many wasted matches to consider it a good use of

my time.

That's why I pushed for MCC to be fixed instead, and why I don't believe this is

a good measurement if fans still want more classic mechanics and gameplay.

While yes, this version is more accessible technically now - if those who sold their

360s still even have their disc copies of the game in the first place since they DIDN'T

make it free to play - it's not anymore playable than it was in 2013, and you can't

expect people to just stick around for that.

Many things have changed since high school.

Mostly for the better.

But I do miss the times and fun I had wasting away every school evening in this game, yelling

into the mic at friends and disturbing my parents.

Hopefully I can find such a game experience again, but thus far nothing has stayed with

me for anywhere near as long.

To wrap this up - no, I'm not "grateful" to 343 or Microsoft for wasting my money and

pretending to cover up their massive screwups.

I am beyond pleased to see players in Halo 3 again and I can only hope it stays that

way until we get some sort of custom servers for Halo 2 Vista or Halo Online gets a full,

US-supporting release.

But I won't be surprised if it doesn't last.

I hear Firefight for ODST is going again, too.

That was, by far, my favorite rendition of Firefight, with Reach's version being a

close second.

I'll give that a shot next.

I'm proud of how far I've come since 2008, I just hope that this part of my life isn't

something that remains only in the past.

Newfoundlanders: friendly or nosy? (ft. Justin Trudeau) | 22 Minutes - Duration: 3:18.

Welcome to the- Welcome to the- Welcome to the rock!

So why is Come From Away such a big smash?

Why is it connecting with audiences all around the world?

Well, I approached a friend of mine, a former high school drama teacher, and current Prime

Minister, cause it's good to have something to fall back on, Justin Trudeau.

How are you doing my friend?

Very well.

Great to see you, Mark.

This is a big thing you know and this is really a show about people who literally gave the

shirts off their back.

I know you have a passion for going shirtless.

Is it the uh-- You got more viral hits than I did when you

went shirtless.

We've both gone shirtless.

Is your love of shirtless things, is this what brought you to this program?

Your love of it?

This is an opportunity to showcase the best of Canada, the best in Newfoundland and how

people are there for each other in times of crisis.

Now you are actually one of the biggest fans and biggest bolsters for the show, you even

invited President Trump last year to go to New York to Broadway to see the show with

you.

You said, "Come to Broadway."

He said, "I love broads.

Show me the way."

You said, "No, sir, it's a musical."

He said, "Gross, send Ivanka."

You brought Ivanka Trump to the show.

--Yup.

Were you kinda hoping that she would see the message of inclusiveness and welcoming people

from different places and maybe bring that back to the White House?

That was a part of it but it was also just a great demonstration of how close Canada

and the United States are, how Canadians and Americans have always been there for each

other, and that when we work together, even in difficult times, great things happen.

Really it's a celebration of friendship.

As a former actor yourself, some may say a current one, would you have any advice for

the performers in the show?

Just be true to the stories they're telling, the stories of extraordinary people like Claude

Elliot the Mayor of Gander.

This is amazing!

Did you ever think that you would be a character in a Broadway Musical?

No, not in your wildest dreams.

I grew up in Twillingate in a boat and I never thought I'd be a character on Broadway.

As a matter of fact, I never thought I'd ever get to an arts and culture centre in St. John's.

Newfoundlanders are so friendly and welcoming and friendly, but are we really?

Is it friendliness or is it more of a nosiness?

I think it's a necessity.

It's a bold-faced lie to say we're friendly.

I think it's like protecting yourself and making sure that the enemy at the door, you

know how to control them.

That's how I see it.

So, like, "Who are you?

Where are you from?"

Exactly!

"What size suit is that?

How big is it?

You got any daughters?

You got any brothers?

Got any sisters?

Who are they?

How closely related are they?

Am I related to you?

Who's your mother?"

That kind of a thing?

Exactly, yeah.

I would like to say it - Loving music, loving musical theatre and Newfoundland, would you

please... [clears throat]

*Singing* We'll rant and we'll roar like true Newfoundlanders We'll rant and we'll roar on deck and below

Until we strikes bottom inside the two sunkers When straight through the channel to Toslow

we'll go You still have trouble with the words, man!

Not all Newfoundlanders know all the words to Newfoundland songs!

Yeah well why does this Quebecer know all the words to the Newfoundland song?

Does Trump's war of words with North Korea inflame or deter? - Duration: 10:25.

JUDY WOODRUFF: The rhetoric between North Korea and the United States has long been

bellicose and acrimonious.

But over the past few weeks, the back-and-forth has escalated even further, and grown arguably

more ominous.

Nick Schifrin has the story.

NICK SCHIFRIN: For decades, North Korea has rallied its population with propaganda, calling

U.S. an existential threat.

This weekend, more than 100,000 North Koreans, scripted, staged and suited, pledged allegiance

to leader Kim Jong-un.

The banner reads: "If the U.S. attacks us, wipe them out forever."

The propaganda machine goes even further.

Videos show North Korea targeting the White House and destroying the Capitol.

Up until recently, the U.S. has tried not to match bombastic threats with threats.

But, today, name-calling brinkmanship is mutual.

DONALD TRUMP, President of the United States: Rocket Man should have been handled a long

time ago.

(CHEERING AND APPLAUSE)

NICK SCHIFRIN: And a Kim Jong-un statement read by a North Korean TV presenter:

WOMAN (through translator): "I will surely and definitely tame the mentally deranged

U.S. dotard with fire."

NICK SCHIFRIN: The war of words has been escalating all year.

On January 2, President Trump tweeted: "North Korea just stated that it is in the final

stages of developing a nuclear weapon capable of reaching parts of the U.S.

It won't happen."

By July, the North Koreans did test an intercontinental ballistic missile capable of hitting the United

States.

The next month, the president laid down a new red line.

DONALD TRUMP: North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States.

They will be met with fire and fury, like the world has never seen.

NICK SCHIFRIN: North Korea crossed that line some 24 hours later, threatening to envelop

U.S. territory Guam.

MAN (through translator): Sound dialogue is not possible with such a guy, bereft of reason,

who is going senile.

NICK SCHIFRIN: The tit-for-tat continued at the United Nations General Assembly:

DONALD TRUMP: Rocket Man is on a suicide mission for himself and for his regime.

RI YONG-HO, North Korean Foreign Minister (through translator): It's an absurd reality

a person like Trump, a mentally deranged person full of megalomania and complacency, holds

the nuclear button.

NICK SCHIFRIN: Over the weekend, President Trump tweeted that if North Korean officials

repeated specific threats, they won't be around much longer.

And the North Korean foreign minister responded:

RI YONG-HO, (through translator): Since the United States declared war on our country,

we have every right to take countermeasures, including shooting down the United States'

strategic bombers.

The question of who will be around much longer will be answered then.

NICK SCHIFRIN: Today, President Trump repeated his threats and said Kim Jong-un started it.

DONALD TRUMP: He's saying things that should, never ever be said, and we're replying to

those things, but it's a reply.

It's not an original statement.

It's a reply.

NICK SCHIFRIN: To talk about whether the president's rhetoric really is a reply, and whether the

war of words increases the chances of war, we get two views.

Kathleen Stephens was a career diplomat and served as U.S. ambassador to South Korea and

undersecretary of state for public diplomacy and public affairs.

She joins us from Stanford University, where she is a fellow.

And Balbina Hwang was a special adviser to the assistant secretary of state for East

Asia and Pacific affairs, and is now a visiting professor at Georgetown University.

And thank you to you both.

Ambassador Stephens, let me start with you.

Do you believe that President Trump might actually be reducing U.S. options, perhaps

bringing us either closer to war or proving U.S. threats meaningless?

KATHLEEN STEPHENS, Former U.S. Ambassador to South Korea: Well, I am really baffled

and very concerned about this engagement by, for the first time, I think, by an American

president in this kind of tit-for-tat rhetoric, I think you called it brinksmanship, with

the North Korean leader.

I think this is beneath us.

I subscribe to Teddy Roosevelt's speak softly and carry a big stick if you're a great power

like the United States.

There's a lot of things about the Trump administration's policies toward North Korea which I think

have been very sound and being pursued by Secretary Mattis and Secretary Tillerson.

And this war of words is undermining those efforts.

It's going to make diplomacy more difficult.

It's confused our allies.

It's strengthened, I think, Kim Jong-un's assertion to his own people that he was right.

In fact, this is what he said in reply to President Trump's U.N. statement about totally

destroying North Korea: He was right to pursue nuclear weapons, and he's not going to stop.

So, I think this is complicating the administration's own efforts, ironically, and, even more immediately,

making it very, very difficult to manage that situation on the Korean Peninsula.

This has always been about managing escalation and preventing escalation and preventing misunderstanding.

We have been close to war many times on the Korean Peninsula in the past years, and we

have had to work very quietly, I think, to manage that.

This kind of war of words between two leaders makes it much more difficult.

NICK SCHIFRIN: Professor Hwang, are the threats ineffective, or could they actually be effective?

BALBINA HWANG, Senior Policy Analyst, Heritage Foundation: Well, I actually think, rather

oddly, that, in fact, they will -- they are being effective.

We have to remember, it's not so much that I disagree with Ambassador Stephens, but I

do think that President Obama, for example, for eight years, did take the high road.

But I do think that President Obama, for example, for eight years, did take the high road.

And I think he was being very firm.

And he did try negotiations, but essentially had a policy of being tough where he needed

to be.

But actually carrying the soft sick didn't work, in the sense that it didn't deter North

Korea.

It didn't bring North Korea to the negotiating table.

And so, of course, going down to sort of schoolyard level in this kind of matching rhetoric may

not necessarily help, but, on the other hand, it does set very clear what U.S. intentions

are and what this president is not willing to tolerate.

That's not the worst thing as far as North Korea is concerned.

NICK SCHIFRIN: But what about that, Professor Stephens?

Perhaps these threats are effective deterrents.

KATHLEEN STEPHENS: You know, I'm not for a soft stick.

I'm for a hard stick.

And I think that -- and I do support the steps both the previous administration has taken

and that President Trump has taken to strengthen deterrents, to strengthen defense, to demonstrate

a determination to defend our allies, as well as our homeland.

But we're a big country.

We're a great power.

And I think we need to -- and our words matter.

One thing that strikes me, from my many years in Asia, is that the words that an American

president says, the words that any American official says are pored over and analyzed,

whether it's in Seoul or Tokyo or Pyongyang.

And I have heard that there are units of bright young diplomats in analysts in both Pyongyang

and Seoul whose sole task is to read everything that President Trump tweets and says, particularly

with relation to the region, and try to figure out what it is he's saying.

And it seems so completely at odds with things that are said sometimes by himself the day

before and the day after, and certainly by Secretary Mattis, Secretary Tillerson, who

have outlined a strategy of, as they put it, maximum pressure, maximum engagement.

What President Trump is doing, in this very ad hominem tit-for-tat with someone who is

way beneath us is demeaning, I think, his own position, the position of the United States,

and the efforts of his own diplomats and military leaders.

NICK SCHIFRIN: Professor Hwang, are these threats undermining some of the other members

of the administration?

BALBINA HWANG: Well, there does seem to be some confusion about that.

On the other hand, again, yes, a president's words matter, but taken in the context of

what this president says and does in terms of tweeting, I think, again, even our foreign

audience does understand that every single statement that comes out of the president

may not necessarily need to be taken so seriously.

And, in fact, the confusion might also convince the North Korean leaders that they need to

act with more caution.

I think the more important point is what is behind the actions.

What actions are we taking and what actions are North Korea taking?

And right now, there are no actual military actions that indicate that either is on the

brink of waging war with the other.

That's actually more important.

NICK SCHIFRIN: And, Ambassador, to that point, could these threats be effective, where, frankly,

a lot of the diplomacy in the past was not?

KATHLEEN STEPHENS: I don't think the threats are effective.

And I think, as the discussion before we started this talk demonstrated, the problem with threats

is -- and certainly red lines is, if you draw red lines -- and it's not just the Trump administration

that's seen this, but others -- and then the North Koreans cross it, what happens?

It's a problem of credibility.

It's a problem.

And I think there is a big problem if the words of our president are not taken seriously.

It really, really reduces our ability to influence and shape events.

That said, I do agree with Balbina that my own assessment -- and this -- there may be

some hopeful thinking in this -- is that neither side wants a war.

I'm worried about the inadvertent miscalculation that can happen in what is a highly militarized

environment, one in which President Trump, for the first time -- and even putting aside

the kind of childish ad hominem attacks on each other -- but where he has strayed -- well,

he has demonstrated no awareness of the kind of traditional kind of clarity of deterrents,

how we deter each other, how we signal intentions.

I don't think that uncertainty is a good thing.

No one, perhaps the president himself, knows, is he really talking -- when he talks about

a response the world has never seen before, is he talking about a nuclear response or

not?

We don't know.

Yes, I think that gives Pyongyang pause, but that doesn't give me any comfort, because

I think it also, as I mentioned, says to Kim Jong-un, he says, well, I was right to try

to develop my own nuclear deterrent.

I think the challenge now is to find a way to go forward and deter each other.

NICK SCHIFRIN: Quickly, Professor Hwang, giving Kim Jong-un pause, isn't that part of the

point?

BALBINA HWANG: That's exactly right.

And, in fact, uncertainty, while it does make us anxious, uncertainty is what drives North

Korea's insecurity.

And I think, in this case, insecurity is what is going to push North Korea back to the negotiating

table, if anything does.

NICK SCHIFRIN: Professor Hwang, thank you very much, and Ambassador Stephens.

Thanks to you both.

Benicio del Toro Urges Fans to Help Puerto Rico: 'Nothing You've Read or Watched on TV Compares'

On Sunday, Puerto Rican actor Benicio del Torro shared a video message with PEOPLE urging his fans to donate to hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico.

"I want to read a little excerpt of a message from a family member, one of the 3.

5 American citizens that experienced the devastation of Hurricane Maria from the island of Puerto Rico," he said.

"Saturday Sept. 23, 2017," he continued.

"Three days after Hurricane Maria crossed through the island.

Finally the sun came out today and for the first time we can clearly see the aftermath.

Nothing you've read or watched on tv compares to the destruction we see with our very eyes.

End of quote.".

"Hurricane Maria has left a path of destruction and loss of life, the full extent of which has yet to be determined.

Please help me help our people and donate to Unidos for Puerto Rico," he added.

On Sept.

20, Hurricane Maria made landfall on the 100-mile-long island of Puerto Rico, causing such tremendous damage with its 155-mph winds that it knocked out power for all 3.5 million residents.

Maria killed at least nine people on Dominica before it moved to Puerto Rico, where it toppled trees, tore roofs from buildings, and damaged reservoirs and rivers that—along with heavy rain—have caused severe flooding.

This came just two weeks after ferocious Hurricane Irma destroyed much of the U.S.

Virgin Islands and killed three people in Puerto Rico.

Day 26 - Bitter Or Better - Duration: 1:07.

Life is full of injustice and undeserved hurt.

These ill-treatments can make us bitter or better.

From Joseph's experience we learn that, we'll be bitter when we focus on the "I",

ourselves and the hurt we've unjustly suffered.

But, we'll be better if we view things from the perspective of "E",

eternity or God's eternal plan.

When we are unfairly treated, let's yield to God's plan.

He can squeeze our bitter lemons of life into nourishing lemonade.

He can cause the bitter pills forced down our throats to make us better people.

To cherish bitterness, anger, or hate is to be faithless, miserable, and a loser.

You're much better than that.

Forgive and move on!
