A new report came out this week titled Estimating Economic Damage from Climate Change in the

United States, and guess what folks?

As it turns out, those people who tend to deny that climate change exists or those people

who continue to vote for climate-change deniers and those states that voted for Donald Trump

and gave him the electoral votes necessary to win our presidency, those states are actually

going to be the hardest hit both in terms of climate change itself and the financial

cost of climate change.

Most of the states that helped put Donald Trump in office are in the South.

As we know, temperatures in the South are rising same as temperatures all over the world,

but when you're considering an area that already has higher-than-usual temperatures compared

to the rest of the country, every tick up in a degree harms people.

It's going to cause more deaths from heat stroke.

It's going to cause more extreme weather events like flooding, tornadoes, storms, droughts,

things like that that could also leave people dead.

State of Florida, coast of Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, rising sea level is going

to force people from their homes, cause hundreds of billions of dollars in economic losses

from lost real estate, and those are all states that voted for Donald Trump.

In short, this new study tells us, without a doubt, the people who are going to be hit

hardest by climate change are those that put a climate-change denier in office.

Now that's not to say they're the only ones hit.

Trust me, that's not what they're saying at all, but what they are saying is that people

need to wake up and understand that climate change is not a talking point.

It is not a far-off threat.

We're talking about things that are going to be happening, that will be happening regardless

of what we do at this point now in five to 10 years.

We are already seeing massive coastal erosion along the Gulf of Mexico and along the east

coast of Florida.

It's happening today.

Again, those are red states.

Those are states that sent people like Marco Rubio to Congress, a guy who likes to say,

"I'm not a scientist, man.

I don't understand it."

Well, you sure as hell don't seem to be listening to the scientists at all.

Climate change is something we have to take seriously.

It's something that these red state voters have to realize is happening.

Those of us who actually live along the coast see it.

We see each year that our beaches are losing about a foot to two feet of total space.

Some of those people still look at that, understand that things are smaller than they were, and

still vote for climate-change deniers or they outright deny climate changes exist themselves.

I don't know if there is any way to reach these people.

We've tried being soft, we've tried being hard.

We have tried confronting them with facts, and they just call it fake news, but what's

going to happen, according to this study, is that these people will eventually have

to start paying for this.

Some of them, unfortunately, are going to pay for it with their lives, getting swept

away in a flood or heat stroke or things like that.

That's not what should happen to anybody in this country.

Nobody should wish that upon anybody either, but it's going to hit most of us in our wallets,

our bank accounts.

We're going to lose money.

We could lose our homes with nowhere else to go, with no insurance company covering

us because we live in a flood plain or we live in an area that's going to be swallowed

by climate change.

Those are costs that we can't get back, and that's what these Trump voters, these red-staters

need to start understanding.

It's not just about some far-off threat.

It's about what's going to happen to you and your family and your neighbors and your friends

and your buddies five to 10 years from now.

We are out of time.

It's time to act now so that we don't end up in an even worse situation in

a decade.

"I can only tell you what happens here and Alexis works for hard and is focused to play.

The US firebrand pledged to commit more to the country in a bid to stem the growing tide of the Taliban, who have claimed swathes of the nation as their own.

Now UK sources have revealed the is preparing to station troops in the region, with SAS and Special Boat Service operatives currently performing integral roles in a "scoping exercise" that will decide which military assets can be deployed on the battlefield.

A senior Whitehall official told the Sunday Times: "The special forces are clearly a key element of our military capability in this kind of operation." Britain may also bolster military push in the country with military drones and other aircraft.

While the US is yet to call on Britain to commit to the fray, ministers are prepared for the request amid the US commitment to the conflict.

Defence Minister Sir Michael Fallon, who praised Trump's decision to commit more troops to the country, is believed to have discussed the UK's military capabilities with his US equivalent James 'Mad Dog' Mattis.

And UK officials are reportedly prepared to commit to a "significant uptick" in SAS troops serving in Afghanistan following intelligence reports which claim the Taliban has developed a presence in every province and major town in the country.

The Taliban, a militant islamic group condemned by then-President George W. Bush during the start of the current assault on the country, are believed to be harbouring al-Qaeda and ISIS terrorists in the country.

The MoD said they could not confirm or deny special forces involvement in Afghanistan. It comes as Trump vows he is "not nation building" by committing more troops to Afghanistan, but "killing terrorists".

The US President has previously been sceptical about the war in Afghanistan, which is in its 16th year.

Before the election Trump made repeated calls for the US to withdraw, but in a speech last week he announced he will commit 4,000 more troops to the region to combat terrorism.

He said: "We need look no further than last week's vile, vicious attack in Barcelona to understand that terror groups will stop at nothing to commit the mass murder of innocent men, women and children. You saw it for yourself. Horrible.

"As I outlined in my speech in Saudi Arabia three months ago, America and our partners are committed to stripping terrorists of their territory, cutting off their funding, and exposing the false allure of their evil ideology." President Trump added: "In Afghanistan and Pakistan, America's interests are clear: We must stop the resurgence of safe havens that enable terrorists to threaten America, and we must prevent nuclear weapons and materials from coming into the hands of terrorists and being used against us, or anywhere in the world for that matter.".

This month, Anderson says Mayweather's price has yo-yo'd between $1. 25, while McGregor is now the shortest he's been at $4, since the Nevada State Athletic Commission announced the gloves used for the fight will be the lighter, smaller 8oz gloves.

Anderson says the TAB is expecting the fight to provide its second biggest turnover bout in the agency's history.

Conor McGregor is a 12-round super welterweight matchup that pits the legendary boxer Mayweather against the all-time MMA great McGregor in an unprecedented event that takes place Saturday, August 26 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

FEW experts give Conor McGregor a chance. Even McGregor diehards would doubt his ability to do what no one else has done — defeat Floyd Mayweather.

But there's no doubting the Irishman's inner belief that he can stun the world and punish "Money" Mayweather into retirement. "He will be unconsciousness in four rounds," McGregor told the Los Angeles crowd in the first stop of a four-city media tour.

"He has never faced this. The pair will square off on August 27 in what's arguably the "Fight of the Century".

Forget the Mayweather-Pacquiao scrap in May that broke the bank, this will smash pay-per-view records. It's estimated the fight will make about $606.

To put that into context, the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao bout sold an astounding 4.6 million PPV buys. Mayweather and McGregor will be swimming in the money, too, pocketing millions.

Mayweather stands to earn $100 million, while McGregor will make $75m. McGregor has a net worth of $34m, according to Forbes, earning $27m through winnings and a further $7m in endorsements.

As of December 2016, Forbes estimated the champ has earnt $340m, making him the world's highest paid athlete for three of the last four years. The mouth-watering bout is destined to put bums on seats worldwide.

Even the casual punter will tune in, eager to see how the king of the ring fares against the lord of the octagon. For what it's worth, I can't see how McGregor stands a chance against the 49-0 Mayweather.

He's undefeated for a reason, and while in the twilight of his career at 40-years-of-age, he boasts lighting speed and power that McGregor has never encountered in his 24-fight career.

"The Notorious", a dual-division champion in the UFC, drops bombs and Mayweather won't want to be on the end of McGregor's overhand left. But the question is, can he land a glove on the crafty counterpuncher?.

One thing's for certain, boxing is the only way for this pair to settle this argument. Inside the cage with four-ounce UFC gloves, Mayweather doesn't stand a chance.

In fact, McGregor would choke him out inside a minute. At least in the ring, we've got a spectacle. And it can't come quick enough.

McGregor: "I am honoured to be here, to give you this spectacle. "His little legs, his little core, his little head, I am going to knock him out inside four rounds, mark my words.

"He will be unconsciousness in four rounds. He has never faced this. I don't fear him. "All these rules, all these restrictions, it doesn't faze me; it amuses me. It is funny to me all these rules.

"I don't know how many times I've shocked the world, and I'm going to shock it once again. "It's not going to end well for Floyd. It's not going to end well for all the people doubting me.

Here's an interesting one. The fight will be held under boxing rules, but after initially agreeing to use 10-ounce boxing gloves — instead of the smaller UFC gloves — there's been a late change.

Mayweather has agreed to war eight ounce gloves, a move many think is giving McGregor a huge boost.

The Irishman is desperate to have as little padding as possible — improving his odds of scoring a KO victory when they meet on August 26.

McGregor will not be allowed to use the leg kicks or take-downs that are used in mixed martial arts.
