FIRST OF ITS KIND STUDY SHOWS UNDENIABLE EVIDENCE CANNABIS CAN CURE OPIOID ADDICTION

BY Jack Burns,

As the opioid epidemic rages on, those professing to seek solutions are willfully ignoring

one of the most promising treatments medical cannabis.

When the Comprehensive Addiction & Recovery Act (CARA) was being debated in 2016, amendments

to study medical cannabis were stripped out.

This happened despite studies showing that medical cannabis eases neuropathic pain, and

the governments own National Institutes of Health stating, Medical marijuana products

may have a role in reducing the use of opioids needed to control pain.

There were also studies showing that deaths from opioids plummet in states with legal

cannabis, and that 80 percent of cannabis users give up prescription pills.

A Feb. 2017 study confirmed that opioid dependence and overdoses dropped significantly in medical

cannabis states.

In January 2017, the National Academies of Science published an exhaustive review of

the scientific literature and found that one of the most promising areas in medical cannabis

is for the treatment of chronic pain.

But all of this falls on deaf ears to those in the pockets of Big Pharma, which is largely

to blame for getting America hooked on opioids, as described in a Harvard analysis.

Now, a new experimental study has shown exactly how cannabis works to treat opioid addiction

by actually blocking the opioid reward in the brain.

This study sought to determine whether the cannabis constituent cannabidiol attenuates

the development of morphine reward in the conditioned place preference paradigm.

Separate groups of mice received either saline or morphine in combination with one of four

doses of cannabidiol using three sets of drug/no-drug conditioning trials.

After drug-place conditioning, morphine mice displayed robust place preference that was

attenuated by 10?mg/kg cannabidiol.

Further, when administered alone, this dose of cannabidiol was void of rewarding and aversive

properties.

The finding that cannabidiol blocks opioid reward suggests that this compound may be

useful in addiction treatment settings.

The use of cannabidiol (CBD), one of two major active ingredients in cannabis, is even more

promising for legalization effiorts because it does not produce the high that THC does.

So prohibitionists who demonize cannabis intoxicating effect have no ammo when it comes

to CBD.

CBD can even be extracted from hemp, which is grown for its fiber used in thousands of

manufacturing applications.

Because it cant get anyone high, CBD extracts are even being permitted for medical use in

staunchly prohibitionist states such as Oklahoma and Utah, to treat children with intractable

epilepsy.

States have been reluctant to approve opioid addiction as a valid condition for prescribing

medical cannabis.

Big Pharma, having already secured their grip on federal government, has undoubtedly been

working over state governments to prevent cannabis from threatening their profits.

They had a measure of success in Arizona, which failed vote for legalization after pharma

companies donated heavily to anti-pot propaganda campaigns.

The new study showing how CBD blocks the opioid reward will certainly prompt more research.

This, coupled with statistical evidence from medical cannabis states, should finally prove

fatal to the irrationality of blocking cannabis for opioid addiction treatment.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic can play behind Romelu Lukaku, suggests Jose Mourinho - Duration: 2:09.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic can play behind Romelu Lukaku, suggests Jose Mourinho

The Swede signed a new one-year deal at Old Trafford on Thursday and is hoping to be fit by the end of the year after tearing his anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments.

The 35-year-old lead the line for United last season, scoring 28 goals before his season was cruelly cut short. Lukaku has started life at the club in emphatic fashion and has four goals to his name already in a red shirt.

Ibrahimovic's return could cause a selection dilemma for Mourinho but he's hinted the Swede could play in the no. 10 position behind Lukaku. 'I see Zlatan as important for the team,' said Mourinho.

'I just say that my squad is better for sure, he is one more option, he is one more striker, he is one more experienced player, he is one more player that can play nine or 10, that can play double strikers or no, there are lots of matches to play.

'If we progress in the Champions League and if we progress in one of the cups, I don't even say both, if we do that we are going to be in the position where we couldn't do it only with Lukaku and Rashford,

especially if I play both together, because if I play one and the other one is on the bench, okay, but I am playing with both?.

'So if I play with both, I need a striker, so probably in January I would be knocking on Ed Woodward's door asking for a striker for the second part of the season and I don't need to.

I have one of the best in the world.'.

Is Amazon FBA Dead & Can You Still Find a Good Product with Product Research - Duration: 6:01.

hey guys it's Brian from BG media innovation and I got a great one for you

today so I get this question a lot and it's basically is Amazon FBA dead you

know can you still find good private label products you know good private

label listings with product research and can you you know is it profitable or is

the market saturated it's the same question I get with a lot of different

business models that I go over and and I'm here to bring that to you today so

you know the best in my opinion the best opportunity to get Amazon private

labeling is you know that that's it's right now because the market I mean if

you don't know anything about amazon amazon is only scaling up you know you

might think that it's hitting its peak but it's not literally just bought Whole

Foods you know everybody is starting to shop

more and more even still and it's still exponentially growing on the on the

digital platform so that's only gonna exponentially grow over the next decade

so now is the time before it gets way too saturated to get your products in

and the way that you do that and and I did this you know differently in the

past you know I took some udemy courses I took a bunch of different um you know

online modules but one of the things that I did recently was take at Kevin

David's Amazon FBA ninja modules I didn't take the entire course I took the

PPC module and the review module and they were absolutely phenomenal they

blew my mind so I've been I've been selling on Amazon for roughly I want to

say a little bit over a decade I'm not high percent sure on that number but

I've been selling for a long time and I've been private labeling for about a

year specifically and so I've been through the wringer and have three

successful products and I just launched a new product myself you know so I have

four total and some of the stuff in his PPC module literally blew my mind and

I've been private labeling for about a year now so I've been through the

wringer I have three successful products that generate me you know roughly about

a grand a month each just just rounding so it's pretty pretty successful with it

that's passive but you know I literally don't do anything but make a few phone

calls not that launched but this course still blew stuff blew me away with some

PPC strategies so I haven't taken the full course some people that I network

with have taken the entire course and they have

were nothing but great things to say about its phenomenal I specifically

taken the PPC mantra myself and I've taken the review module and they both

were fantastic so if you don't know obviously he's closing a course in seven

days I'm sure that you know he's not he's not extending it whatsoever you

know some people say they're gonna close the course specifically speaking about

tae-woo yes who continues to say he's gonna shut his course down and just

never does it I mean its marketing strategy I get it generates that you

know that air of you know if you don't get it now you're not gonna have that

opportunity so I understand that but Kevin I've spoke with him specifically

he had the plan about a month ago a little bit under a month ago actually

probably up to three weeks ago shut his course down in a month

and obviously that month is coming to a close I spoke to him specifically he

said this and so I know that he's shutting his course down you have about

seven days to make that decision at the time of this video it could be less if I

you know if I schedule this video later it might be six maybe it might be five

days so I'm telling you guys I'm telling you you know you can get your money back

if you're not happy with the course obviously obviously I'm promoting it

because I get paid for it I get this is an affiliate link and the link will be

in the description below but you know if you if you're not sold on it and and

full disclosure obviously I'm promoting because I get paid like and I always

tell you guys that but I'm promoting because I genuinely

believe in and I believe in him I believe in everything that he talks

about I believe in the strategies that he teaches in the modules and grant I

haven't taken the entire course but just the two modules that I have taken have

been phenomenal and I plan on taking more so you know whether or not you're

starting out I can link all the modules I'll link the product research research

module which is just the first module if you want to take that he's shutting it

down to new students not people that are enrolled so if you were enrolled in a

module you could take your time and then enroll in the other ones down the line

but if you haven't enrolled in any modules he's not gonna let you in after

this timeframe so he is a lot of students there's a lot of people in the

Facebook group I know that myself so he's got a lot of people to manage it

can be a lot I'm sure so I understand that fully but you know you need you

need to take advantage of this if you're looking to get an Amazon private

labeling there's better time than right now it's one of

the best business models in my opinion it is the best business model of 2017

and it probably will be a great business model I'd say probably because nothing's

definite but in my opinion it will most likely be a great business model for a

decade at least to come Amazon is scaling up they just bought Whole Foods

there they have so many plans to do bigger and better things and it's only

moving forward so that being said guys you know check out his course check out

some of the modules I'll link them on in the description below I'll link the

entire course if you want to check that out I'll link the the product research

you're just trying to get started just that module individually and I'll also

link the ones that I took the PPC model and the review module which are

phenomenal so I'm gonna end that here guys I just want to bring that to you

because you know obviously I've taken these myself so I'm not in a rush to get

in but if I just wanted to bring this you know full disclosure because I have

about thirty five thousand at the time of this video

students are new to me and he's shutting it down I just want to let everybody

know about it because you know I've been preaching Amazon private labeling for

about a year now you know not just taking it but preaching it because I've

seen the business model myself and you can it's one of the best ways to make

money online obviously you know you have drop shipping you have you know retail

arbitrage even on Amazon which I teach and it's phenomenal you know you have

ecommerce in a lot of different ways you have social media marketing 2017 but

Amazon private labeling is one of the best if not my in my opinion it is the

best and it's not going away anytime soon

so with that being said guys I'm gonna end it here I hope you have a great day

and I hope you take advantage of this opportunity

How Teachers Can Respond to Charlottesville - Duration: 3:15.

The day the grand jury in Ferguson, Missouri

decided to not charge the officer who

killed Michael Brown,

an event that was later followed by massive riots and protests,

was also the day before my class of high schoolers

was about to go on Thanksgiving Break.

Now teachers, you know what the day before

a holiday can be like.

As a teacher, I had to make the decision of

whether to talk about this nationally relevant,

but politically charged and emotional event

with my class,

Or if I should just have them create hand turkeys

and tell stories about pilgrims.

I decided to get into it,

and the next hour of class

was one of the most powerful moments

I'd ever had since becoming a teacher.

It started with some of my white students

quickly condemning protesters and rioters,

and denouncing the response of many in the

African American community in Ferguson for

how they handled what they considered injustice.

I heard things like,

"No one should be mad enough to react like that."

And, "They should find a better way to protest."

Meanwhile the black students in my room sat quiet.

This conversation was getting heavy fast,

and I wanted to hit the abort button.

But then one of the black students in the

room, who sat quietly the whole time with

balled up fists,

responded that it's easy to not understand

why they rioted in Ferguson if you've never been

followed through a grocery store before or stopped

by the police for no reason.

And then another kid talked about how his

grandfather was lynched back in the 60's,

and one girl shared how her stepdad is black,

and her family doesn't go out much because

of how people look at them.

Story after story flooded my room, and there

was anger there, but also sadness and heartbreak,

and it was all built up and raw, and the kids

didn't hold back on what was inside of them.

At the end of it, not everyone was on one

side of the issue, or could fully empathize

with the minority and majority in the room,

But every kid in that class was closer to

each other than they were before.

A lot of that repressed anger was released,

no longer bottled up, but out there in the

world for others to attempt to understand.

And most of the kids in my room attempted to understand it.

And for most of the conversation, I just stood

against the wall and listened.

It can be so tempting to avoid those difficult

conversations with your students.

They can be hard and uncomfortable, but they

also have so much power to bring each other together.

The stories and discussion created unity,

and isn't that what we want above all else?

There are students in your class who have

very strong opinions concerning the recent events in

Charlottesville.

They have stories and experiences that are

bottled up, and the chaos that's been happening

lately keeps giving them more and more to

repress and feel angry and sad about.

What if they didn't have to hold it in anymore?

What if we were bold, and created a space

where we can actually get real?

You might have a different opinion than some of your students.

And you know what, that's okay.

Because you don't need to share the same

opinion with all of your students

in order to listen.

Trump Aides Admit They Can't Quit Because They Are Keeping Trump From Being Even Crazier - Duration: 2:45.

For months we've been reports saying that White House staffers are unhappy with their

jobs.

They don't like working for Donald Trump.

He's got a bit of a temper.

He throws things at the TV, and on, and on, and on.

So the big question that everybody's been asking is, "Well, then why the hell are you

still working for Donald Trump?"

Well, this past weekend we got an answer in the form of an article from AXIOS, where they

actually interviewed several White House staffers to find out exactly why these people continue

to stay working for Donald Trump when he's so unhinged.

The overwhelming response from these staffers as to why they're staying in the White House

is because they feel it is their duty, because according to them, they're actually helping

to kill some of the crazier ideas that Donald Trump has had as president.

Here are some of those ideas.

They said that they have helped prevent him from launching a trade war with China.

They've helped prevent, to some degree, mass deportations, and they've helped convince

him not to shut down the federal government in exchange for funding his border wall between

the US and Mexico.

These staffers actually see it as their duty to continuously talk Trump down from some

of his crazier proposals and crazier ideas that he clearly is having behind the scenes.

However, there is another factor that AXIOS found in several responses from members of

the White House staffing pool, and it was that they enjoy the power.

They like being associated with a guy like Donald Trump.

For people like that there is no hope.

There is absolutely no hope for those people who think that working for Donald Trump is

somehow making them powerful.

But for those who are actually trying to say, "You know what, Donald?

Maybe we shouldn't start a trade war with China.

Maybe the government needs to keep running, and maybe we should back off the border wall

a little bit," those people are actually doing the United States a massive service at this

point, because they're in the president's ear in a way that nobody else in this country

has the ability to be.

Kudos to those people.

To hell with the ones who think that they're gaining some kind of power.

Let's just hope that these staffers continue to talk Donald Trump back from some of his

more outlandish proposals.

>> Berto: He's very big on being loose and being agile,

and being able to allow his body to do anything

that his mind thinks that it should do.

>> White: Conor McGregor is that unorthodox fighter

that Floyd can't prepare for.

Arsenal and Liverpool given green light to move for Turan after Barcelona tell him he can leave - Duration: 2:26.

Arsenal and Liverpool given green light to move for Arda Turan after Barcelona tell him he can leave for nothing

BARCELONA are so desperate to get rid of flop Arda Turan they will let him leave for nothing, according to reports. The Turkish international has had a nightmare time at the Nou Camp since his £24million move in 2015.

Arda Turan has been told he is free to leave Barcelona.

Arda Turan has been linked with a move to the Premier League with Arsenal and Liverpool interested.

A transfer ban meant the midfielder couldnt play first-team football for the first six months but has ended up starting just 23 La Liga matches since January 2016.

And it appears Arsenal and Liverpool can now swoop for their transfer target with Barca willing to let Turan leave before the end of the transfer window according to Spanish publication Sport.

Both Premier League clubs have been linked with the Turk this summer with Arsenal previously lining up a £30m switch.

Turan was told he was free to leave the club last January and had the chance to join China in a mega-money deal.

But he decided to stay put and is prepared to sit in the fringes of the first-team with his contract expiring in 2020.

With Luis Suarez out injured and Neymar playing in a Paris Saint-Germain jersey, Turan did make the bench in Barcas 2-0 opening league win against Real Betis but failed to get on the pitch.

Philippe Coutinho 'doing everything he can' to leave Liverpool for Barcelona, - Duration: 2:09.

Philippe Coutinho 'doing everything he can' to leave Liverpool for Barcelona, says Spanish star Gerard Pique

BARCELONA defender Gerard Pique insists Philippe Coutinho is doing everything he can to quit Liverpool for the Nou Camp. But the Spanish star told the Daily Mail that the Catalan giants are struggling to pull up the drawbridge on the Brazilians summer-long transfer saga.

Philippe Coutinho remains a Liverpool player while his potential move to Barcelona rumbles on.

Gerard Pique blames the Neymar transfer for inducing inflated fees. They are reportedly still confident of signing Coutinho despite having had three bids rejected already and the price soaring to £136million.

Pique blames the Neymar transfer, a £198m deal that took him from Barca to Paris Saint-Germain, for sending transfer fees through the roof. Said Pique: I think players still want to join Barcelona.

They are showing that as is the case with Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele – one by putting in a transfer request and the other with his actions at Dortmund.

It suggests that they are both delighted about the idea of coming; they want to come. 'The problem is, we sold Ney and the clubs know we have the money from that, and the market is the way it is.

10 Vegetables and Herbs You Can Eat Once and Regrow Forever | Useful info - Duration: 4:00.

10 Vegetables and Herbs You Can Eat Once and Regrow Forever

There are some ingredients I cook with so often I can never buy too many of them, and

most of them are produce. Onions, garlic and fresh herbs are staples in a lot of dishes,

and they may be inexpensive, but when you use them on a daily basis it can add up.

Some foods are easy to regrow at home from leftover scraps, and some of them can even

be grown right on your kitchen counter. Here are 10 vegetables and herbs you can buy once

and regrow forever. 1.

Garlic. When garlic starts to sprout, the little green

shoots are too bitter to cook with. Rather than throwing away sprouted cloves, you can

put them in a glass with a little water and grow garlic sprouts. The sprouts have a much

milder flavor than garlic cloves and are great in salads, pasta and as a garnish.

2. Carrot Greens.

The ends of carrots you usually chop off and throw away will grow carrot greens if you

put them in a dish with a little water. Set the dish in a well-lit windowsill and you'll

have carrot tops to use as a garnish or in salads.

3. Basil.

Put a few basil clippings with 4-inch stems in a glass of water and place it in a spot

with direct sunlight. When the roots are about 2 inches long, you can plant them in pots

to grow a full basil plant. 4.

Scallions. In as little as 5 days you can completely

regrow a full scallion (or green onion) from the scraps. Leave about an inch attached to

the roots and place them in a small glass with a little water. In a few days, you'll

have all new scallions. 5.

Romaine Lettuce. If you have a stem from a head of romaine

lettuce that's still intact, place the stump in a bowl with about ½ inch of water and

put it on a windowsill. You'll start to see new leaves in about 2 weeks, and they'll be

full grown in 3 to 4. 6.

Bok Choy. Just like romaine lettuce, bok choy can be

regrown by placing the root end in water in a well-lit area. In a week or two, you can

transplant it to a pot with soil and grow a full new head.

7. Onions.

Plant the discarded root end from an onion in a pot or directly in the soil outside to

regrow. You can harvest it early and get fresh green onions or wait until the bulb is fully

developed. 8.

Ginger. Like onions, ginger root can be planted in

soil to regrow, but the process is a lot more lengthy. It can take a few months for it to

sprout, and you should be able to harvest a fully grown bulb in 8 to 10 months.

9. Mushrooms.

Plant mushroom stalks in soil with some compost or used coffee grounds and keep them in a

moist environment, preferably where it will be cool at night. They can be tricky to grow,

and within a few days the stems will either start to sprout new heads or rot.

10. Cilantro.

Like basil, cilantro can grow roots if the stems are placed in a glass of water. Once

the roots are long enough, just plant them in a pot. In a few weeks new sprigs will be

starting, and in a few months you'll have a full plant.
