Are we good or bad? - Duration: 1:29.The Jewish tradition does not see us
as the Christian does, as inheriting original sin.
So we're not sinners from day one.
What instead, the way the tradition sees us is that ...
we have inclinations that are self-serving,
called the Yetzer Hara, the "bad inclination,"
and the Yetzer HaTov, the "good inclination."
And that's a correct translation of the two terms.
But the rabbis tell the story that, at one point,
all of the righteous people of the world ask that God
take away the Yetzer Hara, this "bad inclination."
And then what happened was that chickens did not lay eggs,
people did not get married and have children,
people did not build houses.
And so all the righteous of the world ask God to restore it.
So clearly the Yetzer Hara is not a bad inclination.
It's your self-serving inclination.
And on the other hand the Yetzer HaTov
is your altruistic inclination.
And the rabbis actually say that we're born with both.
But that the self-serving inclination is alive and well
and fully functional at the moment of birth.
All you have to do is look infants.
It's, "Me, me, me," right?
And it takes, the rabbis say it takes 13 years
to develop the altruistic inclination, right?
Hence, bar mitzvah.
And from that point on, life is a balancing act
between the self-serving and the other-serving inclinations.
And you need to have both.

Exponential Progress: Can We Expect Mind-Blowing Changes In The Near Future - Duration: 5:12.Hello, ladies and gents, welcome to Luscid!
Today we'll start with a simple thought experiment.
Imagine taking a time machine back to the year 1750—a time when electricity hasn't
been introduced yet, long-distance communication took months, and horses were the main transport.
When you get there, you meet a random fellow, bring him to 2017,
walk him around and watch his reaction.
It's hard to imagine what it would be like for him to see shiny capsules whizzing with
160 km/h, talk to people who had been on the other side of the ocean earlier that day,
and capture real-life images with the magical rectangles in our pockets.
Then imagine bringing out the heavy artillery like explaining the Internet, the GPS or the
Quantum field theory.
Our new friend would be so surprised and mind blown by the progress humanity has achieved
that he might actually die of shock.
But here's the interesting thing—let's assume our friend survives the future shock
and decides to try the same thing.
He'd take the time machine, go back the same distance, get someone from around the
year 1500, bring him to his time, and show him around.
And the 1500 guy would be surprised by a lot of things—but he wouldn't die because
while the 16th and 18th centuries were very different, they were much less different than
the 18th and the 21st.
If our new friend wants to accomplish the same result, he'd have to go much farther
back—maybe all the way back to about 12,000 BC, before the First Agricultural Revolution
gave rise to the first cities and to the concept of civilization.
If someone from a purely hunter-gatherer world saw the vast human empires of the 18th century
with their monumental churches, ocean-crossing ships
and the enormous amount of generated knowledge - he'd probably die.
Two years ago Tim Urban - the WaitButWhy blogger, explored this unusual sci-fi plotline to illustrate
one common mistake that many people make when contemplating the level of progress humanity
is going to achieve in the future – thinking of it in straight lines.
Let me show you what I mean.
If I ask you, to make an educated guess about what's going to happen in 30 years you'll
probably look back to the progress of the previous 3 decades as an indicator.
This would be the same mistake our 1750 guy made when he got someone from the 16th century
and expected to blow his mind as much as his own was blown going the same distance ahead.
In order to think about the future correctly, we need to imagine things moving at a much
faster rate than they're moving now.
This pattern—human progress moving quicker and quicker as time goes on—is what futurist
Ray Kurzweil calls the Law of Accelerating Returns.
This happens because more advanced societies have the know-how and the technology to progress
at a faster rate than less advanced societies.
Kurzweil actually suggests that the progress of the entire 20th century happened between
the years 2000 and 2014 and that another 20th century's worth of progress will happen
by 2021.
But what's really mind-bending is his prediction that till the end of the 21st century we will
achieve 1,000 times the progress of the 20th century.
If you're having trouble grasping this, it's not your fault.
Decades of research in cognitive psychology show that the human mind struggles to understand
nonlinear relationships.
And it's not hard to see why.
For the vast majority of human existence, it was safe to assume that the world in which
you were born would look pretty much the same as the one in which you are going to die.
Actually not much change occurred even between generations: we used pretty much the same
tools, our menu didn't change a lot, life was not so different as a whole.
As a result, we've developed an intuitive outlook of the future as moving in a straight line –
steadily and slowly.
But if we want our predictions about the future to be more accurate we need to think about it
exponentially.
Exponential thinking is still a relatively unknown concept.
It is not just about thinking big; it is about the steps from small to big.
Here's another way to think about it: Imagine you are walking down a road taking steps a
meter in length.
If you take 30 linear steps, you'd end up 30 meters away from where you've started.
But, setting anatomy aside, if someone asks you to take 30 exponential steps
(one, two, four, eight, sixteen meters, and so on),
where would you end up?
The answer is a billion meters away, a distance equal to twenty-six trips around the planet.
Pretty amazing, right?
Now, if you consider the implications of exponential growth in relation to the progress of humanity,
it creates a very different picture of the future; a picture that our intuition struggles
to understand.
Problems that may seem intractable now could become eminently solvable in the near future.
Soon, things which we could barely have imagined decades ago might be just around the corner.
So, yes, we should expect mind-blowing changes in the near future!
But the bigger question here is: are we ready for them?

WE ARE NEVER GONNA GET A VISA (Kiss Marry Kill )- MeowGina - Duration: 10:21.
Let me do my hair first.
Do that.
In case Donald Trump is watching...
You should not have said that.
I need a moment.
This is gonna be an easy decision.
You can start.
Well...
I would kiss my dog.
I understand.
I´d definitely marry Ivan Martinez.
I´d kill Bam Margera, I don`t know who he is.
I agree to this.
It´s not that easy for me.
I´d marry him, too.
But I´d rather marry Ivan.
Oh, you`re taking 3 at once.
That was not on purpose.
This is easy.
Mine is not hard either.
HP.
Think of the printer brand.
I´d kiss HP and I´d marry Jarppi (from the Dudesons).
And I´d kill Steve-O (from Jackass).
Poor Steve-O.
I`m sorry, I don`t really know him.
I have to kill someone...
That`s the thing... I always feel so sorry.
Okay, this time it`s easy.
Now I´ve got 3 at once.
Well...
I´d kiss Alissa Violet because she`s the only one left...
SHE`S LEFT
WHEN YOU DON`T HAVE A CHOICE
I´m sorry, I have to kiss someone.
I´d marry Anthony Trujillo.
I´d kill Faze Banks.
Okay, I agree.
I mean she`s the one left..
Why am I dying?
But you`re fine, right?
I´m so sorry guys.
I don`t know her so I´m sorry.
When no one else is left...
Yeah.
That`s how it is.
This is gonna be hard.
Now there is gonna be drama.
I´m gonna take 3 notes before I die.
I can`t.
Soon you`re gonna know why.
I think I already know.
I`m so self-regarding, that`s why I would kiss myself.
There is the mirror.
I´d marry Chad Tepper and I´d definitely kill PewDiePie.
In a horrible way.
I agree. Omg the hat is falling..
Well he is cute, I´d kiss him, too.
(JC from the Dudesons)
I know what`s about to come.
Who`s Tristan Tales?
Someone from Team 10. You wanna see a photo?
No, that`s fine.
That`s fine, not a bad person.
I´d kiss Tristan.
I´d definitely marry Logan Paul.
And I´m sorry Tessa, but I´d kill you.
That`s worse than when Jake pushed her....
Yeah, true.
Not that everyone is gonna hate on me.
(Juanpa Zurita)
I´d definitely kiss Kat Von D after she tattooed me.
I agree.
I´d definitely marry Tom Hiddleston.
Without hesitating.
And Roman Atwood has to die because he is left...
You`re left...
You´re on the list now.
Another person who`s left..
I´d kiss Joey (from the Dudesons).
But he has a girlfriend.
I don`t think she`d like this.
It could be a kiss on the hand tho..
A kiss between friends, it does`t have to be something intense...
Something intense.
I´d marry Cameron Dallas because of his sixpack.
I agree.
And Thomas Petrou....
I´d kill him.
Aw I wanna marry Jake Paul. Well I´ve got Logan.
We are gonna be relatives.
Why do I find this so funny?
I hope our friendship is not gonna end now...
I´d kiss Alex Lange.
I´m so sorry but as I said he`s left..
I´d marry Emilio Martinez.
MY BABY
And Alex Wassabi has to die.
My baby.
Bye, our friendship is over. Get out of my house!
I´d take a Ivan and make Emilio and you a couple.
That`s soon nice of you.
(Anthony Trujillo)
When one person is left..

LONDON VLOG - WE FOUND BTS [ENG SUBS] // Luana&Marta - Duration: 9:27.Good morning :)
Right now it's...
5:11 a.m.
We had to wake up very early because...
-this bowl is a little bit dirty Luana.
We are going to London and...
we decided to buy the tickets - thanks a lot!
we decided to buy bus tickets to 6:05 a.m.
so we could make the most of our day while we're in London.
Come with us...
...to London.
We just arrived in London
and it's a beautiful day,
it's not sunny but it's a very nice day.-
-damn it, this shit is hot.
Omg, it looks like I had a haircut, I'm going to stop recording.
Luana, try to recreate what those toys are doing.
Okay, we are now heading to the Buckingham Palace.
We already know, where we are going to have lunch and we are SO EXCITED!!!
So keep on watching to find out, OMGGG.
Dad.
If I die in a terrorist attack....
I love you.
This is a great place for a terrorist attack tho.
Omg....
She has been saying that we should be careful, all day...
from the moment we left Coventry, till now.
Yeah.
Everytime we are about to cross the street,
Luana gets too close to the buses,
so she gets hit by one.
Story time.
I've already been in London at least two times,
first time I came to London...
I was here and...
Okay, I don't know if you can see it, but there's a little wall right there,
damn it.
can you see it?
I remember that I was tired, so I went to sit on that wall,
and I found a few bracelets.
So, that was my souvenir to Luana.
I was like: "GIRL BROUGHT YOU A GIFT!"
Awww so sweet. - "I found it on the floor."
or in a wall or whatever.
It was on the wall, it wasn't on the floor....
Why are you looking at us?
Am I not allowed to be a Youtuber?
Look at this beautiful thing.
yeah, there's no trash on the floor.
this is the only place you see trash.
we even tried to ring the bell,
but the queen wasn't home.
she must be mad at my grandma.
My grandma peed on the Queens' garden.
We are now in the Queens' Garden,
where Luana's grandma peed...
Yeah. (she seems very proud of that)
This pigeon is very ugly.
Don't say that, poor pigeon.
STFU Marta.
Why do they sound like pigs?
*sings probably one of the most stupid songs Portugal could have*
*link in the description*
*my sincere apologies.*
Please don't jump.
*look at this ball of cuteness*
*freaks out*
this is not for you pigeon.
She's adorable.
Shes likes Starbucks muffin.
Omg, tits.
HIIIIII :3
This is not for you pigeon, get the fuck out.
*people laughed at me, omg I'm crying*
*freaks out even more*
please don't bite me.
We're BFF's, I know.
Marta, sing.
*sings another stupid portuguese song*
*link in the description*
*again, I apologize*
And yeah,
As always,
everytime I go to a big city,
things are always under construction.
It's still very beautiful.
This is annoying.
A little bit.
Turn up.
I'm going to give him a coin.
*IT'S A FREAKING KOREAN RESTAURANT*
*I'M NOT CRYING, YOU ARE*
Food test.
Is it good?
If I was Korean, I should've eaten this all at once.
But it's better for me not to do so, otherwise I'm going to make a mess.
Are you enjoying?
Excellent.
Yeah, it's actually very good.
I thought this was a bowl for the rice
But no, the water is free, so these are cups for the water.
It's not even playing BTS or anything...
Nope.
What's that?
*writes "Portugal was here"*
*I like it part 1 is playing*
Holly....
....Korean Jesus.
How rude they don't have BTS.
Lili, if you're watching this vlog...
see if you can recognize this person.
*skip to minute 6:14, if you don't want to see us fangirling*
OH MY GOD!!!!
Jungkook <333
Omg, this is a brooch. - wait what? (The word in portuguese has the same meaning as blowjob).
Jimin-ah!!!!
OMG x1
OMG x2
OMG x3
OMG x4
OMG x5
OMG x6
OMG I'm gonna cryyyyy!
Wings!!
In the back.
OMG.
Expensive as...
I'm gonna cry.
By the way...
HELLO.
Lee Min-ho!!!!
omg.
OPPAAAAAA!!!
We're heading back to Big Ben now
cause this guy lied to me *about the portable charger Luana bought*
My phone was dying, it only had 7% left
and it was like 12 p.m.
He said that the portable charger was fully charged
but no, it actually wasn't.
"era so jajao" *I can't really translate that*
it only charged 1%
So I guess I paid £15 for nothing.
So I'm gonna try and get my money back.
I hope I can get it back.
We have to go there one day, Marta.
Okay.
We just lost our bus.
We lost the 7 p.m. bus so now we can only take the 9 p.m one.
So we are going to arrive in Coventry at 11 p.m.
We walked all day.
all day.
*can't translate that*
we came with Armando.
a little bit by foot, a little bit walking. *sorry, it's suppose to rhyme*
okay, we look stupid.
I've walked more this week than I did in my whole life.
Btw, I was able to get my money back *whoop whoop*
I had a fight with the man who sold me the portable charger,
I kept saying "YOU LIED TO ME, YOU LIED TO ME!"
and yeah, I got my money back.
So, this is our first time trying the pumpkin spice latte.
wow.
wow.
this is just the best Starbucks drink.
it tastes like fall.
Okay?
How am I supposed to wash this?
Mom, help!
You don't even close that correctly.
How do you expect to keep the drink inside the cup?
I knew it.
I knew it, there was something else about to come.
well, what time is it?
eleven something.
we literally spent the whole day in London.
because we lost our bus as I already said.
it's cold like hell *that contrast tho* *how poetic*
I stumbled on the step, and I was about to fall...
Marta is feeling sick.
EVERYTHING IS GOING SO WRONG.
that motherf*cking pumpkin spice latte.
Even my legs are shaking.
So basically, I'm ready to go to my grave.
This might sound extremely disgusting but I'm not even going to wash myself I'm just going to land on my bed.
WOW, you can see everything.
I'm going to clean the camera to see if it helps.
*obviously not Luana, u stupid or what?*
As soon as I placed my butt on my sit (in the bus),
I immediately was like, "F*CK!"
I need a bag, I'm going to vomit all over.
it was not because of the phone, it was because of that pumpkin spice latte.
*I'm normal, I promise*
btw, for those who are thinking about visiting London...
don't spend the whole day there.
For f*ck sake.
So this is the end of today's vlog.
I hope you guys enjoyed it.
Give it a like and subscribe and turn on post notifications and blah blah blah...
I think that's all...
yeah maybe..
loads of kisses.
BYEEEEE <333

Joseph Parker: 'I knew I'd won ... but we are in Manchester' - Duration: 6:10.Joseph Parker: 'I knew I'd won ... but we are in Manchester'
Joseph Parker: I knew Id won. but we are in Manchester . Joseph Parker believed at the final bell hed done the job to retain his WBO heavyweight boxing title.
Joseph Parker knew hed won his fight against Hughie Fury but feared the worst as the scorecards were read out. Parker retained his WBO world heavyweight title with a majority points decision in Manchester on Sunday (NZT).
One American judge scored it a daw at 114-114, the other American had it 118-110 and controversial British official Terry OConnor also chimed in with a decisive 118-110.
Boxer Joseph Parker poses with trainer Kevin Barry after fending off Hughie Furys challenge for his WBO heavyweight title belt in Manchester, England.
That spread had Parker worried as he waited to see who the cards actually favoured. Scoring controversies in other recent big fights had him fearing the worst.
Joseph Parker couldnt catch Hughie Furys chin, but hes happy to still have the WBO heavyweight title belt around his waist.
So he was relieved to find the judges backed up his own instincts and that of his camp in a tense few minutes after the final bell of 12 difficult rounds before his hand was raised in victory.
I knew that I did enough to win and I knew that I won convincingly. But we are in Manchester, you know, the 25-year-old said of coming through his second defence of the coveted belt and his first on foreign soil.
Some of the scorecards in other fights didnt live up to what happened in the fight, so I thought it might have got taken away from me.
But I was confident I did the work in the ring and that I did enough to win. Im thankful that the judges saw it my way and gave it to me. Im just happy to still be champion.
Having been forced to fight two awkward opponents in Andy Ruiz to initially win the title and then Fury to defend it, Parkers camp are now looking forward to dictating their own terms moving forward with a voluntary defence.
There will be disappointment that Parker didnt deliver the knockout blow he so wanted to make a real statement to the UK market.
But their could be no argument that he landed the power shots throughout this fight, against an opponent who was trying to counter off the back foot all night.
I felt I had it, I put on the pressure and put in the bigger shots. He ran for the whole 12 rounds so I felt I won and won well, Parker said.
Hes awkward and moves really well and uses the ring. I was trying to catch him and I did rock him a few times. But I give him credit for his movement, it was good..
Parker put plenty of pressure on himself with his pre-fight predictions and that was reflected in his performance at times.
I was trying for the knockout, maybe I was trying too hard. I wanted to get the knockout but in boxing, things happen and they may not go the way you wanted.
Hopefully next time Ill get that knockout, he said of going a third consecutive fight without an early finish.
I needed to punch his body more, but its his awkward style. I was trying to put on the pressure and chase him down but again, credit to him for his movement, it was good..
Parker believed there were valuable lessons and experience to be learned as he took his record to 24-0.
I guess theres a lot to work on. Its about learning, getting more experience and learning all the time. Theres a lot to take from this fight, I just have to keep working on the weaknesses I showed, he said.
But I did a lot of things good and I think we want to focus on the positives, focus on the win. We will absorb this victory and celebrate wth the team..
He still has the belt and plenty of bargaining power to go with it. Richer fights await now if he continues to improve.
Parker looked strong throughout the fight. He felt his fitness had again been impressive, going 12 rounds comfortably – I felt I could have gone another six or seven. And his chin absorbed some decent shots from Fury.
He caught me with some shots coming in, I need to work on my movement more. But he didnt really hurt me. He has got good fast hands and he moves well, but I dont think he has a lot of power..
Fury took plenty from Parker along the way and was still standing strong at the end, surviving a few moments when he looked like he might be gone.
I caught him with some good shots and credit to him for dodging the other big shots that came his way, Parker said.

its Art, it may not be one of the seven arts

Joseph Parker's relief: 'I know I did enough, but we're in Manchester' - Duration: 5:07.Joseph Parker's relief: 'I know I did enough, but we're in Manchester'
Joseph Parkers relief: I know I did enough, but were in Manchester.
Joseph Parker and his team have spoken of their relief at getting the points decision over Hughie Fury here at the Manchester Arena which enabled him to retain his WBO heavyweight world title.
The New Zealander won with a majority decision, with one judge scoring it 114-114 and two others 118-110.
To many observers, including this one, it seemed a straightforward victory for Parker given he came forward all night, threw the most power punches, and generally dominated virtually every round.
But given he was fighting in Furys hometown and several recent controversial decisions in the sport, nothing could be taken for granted.
I felt I had it, Parker said afterwards. I felt I pressured him and I felt like he ran for the whole 12 rounds so I won and won well..
He added of his nerves at the end: I knew I had done enough to win convincingly but were in Manchester.
Some other scorecards in other fights dont live up to what happened in the fight so I thought it might have been taken away from us.
Hes awkward and he moves well, he uses the ring well so it was hard to corner and catch him. I rocked him a few times. I give him credit for his movement, it was good.
I was trying for the knockout, maybe I was trying too hard, so I guess theres a lot to work on. Ill enjoy this victory and celebrate with the team but theres a lot to work on..
Promoter David Higgins was vocal before the fight, Parkers second title defence, about his concerns regarding Terry OConnor, the man originally slated to be the referee before a late change put fellow Brit Marcus McDonnell in the ring and OConnor on the judges panel.
And, significantly, OConnor was one of the judges who scored the fight overwhelmingly for Parker.
Everything was against us heading in. Im just relieved we got the win, Higgins said. I think I should pay credit to the British Board of Boxing Control because they were very straight.
We have a voluntary now not a mandatory, which means instead of being forced into one fight we can negotiate a series of deals at the same time and on our terms.
Parker will probably fight again in December, and possibly in London, although Higgins wanted to keep his options open. They included a possible fight in Tokyo or the United States.
Englishman Dillian Whyte wasted little time in calling out Parker on Twitter. Higgins said: Its all risk and return. Look, Dillian Whyte calls everyone out every week..
Fury, who suffered his first loss in 21 professional fights, promised to be awkward and he certainly was.
His height allowed him to sway out of the range of Parkers big shots, but he was caught several times and a cut opened above his right eye in the fourth round.Parker was never hurt and again didnt suffer any marking to his face.
Trainer Kevin Barry said: I thought Joe threw a couple of really good punches in the first round which set the scene for the night. Hughie realised he couldnt stand there. if he was going to survive.
What this does now is it sets the scene for us to do business in the UK.
Parker, who arrived to the ring to big cheers from a surprisingly large Kiwi contingent in the audience, planned to celebrate quietly with friends and family afterwards.
Just relax with the team, he said. Its not just effort from myself, its effort from the team.
There are a lot of people who travelled here to watch me fight and support me - New Zealand, Vegas, Hong Kong, so well get together and celebrate..

Which 3 popular exercises should we absolutely AVOID as we get older? - Duration: 10:40.Shaun Hadsell here with Get Lean in 12--
you're watching the last one.
I apologize.
I had a new microphone.
I'm outside here in sunny Florida
and it was crackling the entire time and it ruined the video.
So my apologies-- let's try this again.
If you were scrolling through your feed, stop by and say hi.
Post where you're from in the comment section.
And pay close attention, especially
if you're over 35 years old, because I'm
going to share three exercises people over 35 should avoid.
And they're very popular exercises,
as you'll see right here.
Plus, I'm going to share the 12 Minute Protocol that
helps people in their 40s, 50s, and 60s, optimize hormones
to quickly lose belly fat.
So before I get into details about the three exercises
that you should avoid, and I introduce you to this 12 Minute
Protocol-- it's found inside the system at the link
that you'll find somewhere around this video.
It's called the Over 40 Ab Solution.
And the reason that I created the Over 40 Ab Solution
is twofold.
One, when I was just 28 years old,
I entered the Body for Life contest, which
is the world's largest body transformation contest, put on
by Bill Phillips.
And I was fortunate enough to be second place out of over 22,000
finishers.
And that was my catalyst into the fitness industry.
Now I'm a 46-year-old grandfather.
I've reached and helped over 100,000 people across the globe
online in the last five years.
Well, what happened is, during that contest,
I took my body fat from 20%, all the way down to 5%.
At the same time, I gained five pounds of muscle.
And I did it using interval training, high intensity weight
training, and a sound diet.
But as I got older--
and now that I'm in my 40s--
the hormonal differences make a huge impact
on the type of exercise that you do.
So most of today's most popular exercises
are mostly designed for younger people.
And I'll share more about that in a second.
Now when you click the link somewhere around this video,
you'll also go to the website where
you'll learn the story about my 57-year-old wife, Karen.
That's the second reason I created this system.
When we met over 14 years ago, a couple years after we
met she was diagnosed with colorectal cancer.
And this forced her into early menopause,
and so she accumulated a ton of upper belly fat.
And this 12 Minute Protocol found inside the Over 40 Ab
Solution system is what helped her flatten her belly.
And you'll see her after pictures when
you go over to our website.
Now there's one more promise I want
to make before I dive into this, and that
is that this isn't just about achieving
a leaner, healthier body for people in their 40s, 50s,
or 60s.
This isn't about just optimizing hormones for people
in their 40s, 50s, and 60s.
This is about a better quality of life.
The one thing that I've learned over the last 20
years of being in this industry is
that when you focus 5% of your time-- and after all,
this is only going to take you 12 minutes, about four or five
times of the week.
And when you focus just 5% of your time weekly, and exercise,
and sound nutrition that I share inside my system--
I have a guide in there called the Lean 19.
It's 19 diet tips that are specifically
designed for the hormonal condition of people
over 35 years old.
And when you apply yourself consistently with this,
I promise you that it will leak over
into every other area of your life in a positive way.
My wife Karen and I know that when we focus on this stuff,
we're better parents, we're better grandparents.
We're better at our careers.
We're more focused and driven.
We're happier.
We're healthier.
And you get all these bonus side effects simply
by investing 12 minutes a day.
So let's talk about the first exercise
you should avoid if you're over 35 years old.
The first one is crunches and sit ups.
And the reason you should avoid crunches and sit ups
is three-fold.
Number one, spot reduction is a myth in the stomach.
Most people do crunches and sit ups
thinking that they're going to get a flatter belly, when
in reality, all you're really doing
is working a muscle that's underneath the fat that
needs to be burned off.
So instead, you should be engaging in activities
that help you burn belly fat.
And truth be told, if you sit here
and you do relentless crunches and sit ups
and you build up that muscle, and you
don't lose the belly fat, you can actually
make your stomach stick out even further.
The second reason is herniated disc risk.
Stuart McGill is one of the world's most renowned
back experts, and his research shows that crunches and sit
ups are one of the leading causes of herniated disc.
So if you ever go to the gym or your health club,
and you see these people crunching away, trying
to lose their belly, not only are they building up
their stomach muscles underneath the fat
that they want to burn off, they could be damaging their back.
And the final reason is Men's Health posted an article,
and it talked about how it takes 22,000 crunches just
to burn one measly pound of belly fat.
I mean, your time can be spent much better
doing the 12 Minute Protocol found inside the Over 40 Ab
Solution.
The second exercise that you want
to avoid if you're over 35 years old
is the DVD workouts that are so popular these days.
So DVD workouts like P90X, Insanity, and CrossFit--
these are amazing workouts.
They work.
Look at the infomercials.
Look at the testimonials.
But they're designed for younger people.
You see, when you're in your 40s, and 50s, or 60s,
you must move differently than younger people
if you want to optimize hormones and quickly lose belly fat.
So not only are designed for younger people,
they take 60 to 90 minutes.
I don't know about you, but I don't
have 60 to 90 minutes, five days a week, to work out.
I want to have a life.
I want to get it done in 12 minutes and be done.
Best of all, when you use this 12 Minute Protocol,
you can actually elevate your metabolic rate
for up to 38 to 48 hours afterwards.
And again, you'll see the research and the studies
at the link somewhere around this video,
confirming that this is substantiated
and it's published in scientific journals.
Also, these ballistic movements can
be very hard on your joints.
So you want to use movement patterns, rest periods,
and intensity levels, that are designed
for your current hormonal condition.
That's why I created the Over 40 Ab Solution.
The third exercise that you want to avoid is cardio.
And listen, I'm not here to bash cardio.
I'm not saying that cardio doesn't work
to help you lose belly fat.
But most people abuse it.
There is a specific time that you should do steady state
cardio a couple times a week, and I share this specific time
with you inside my system.
There are four published studies that I'll
post above this video showing that too much cardio done
in excessive amount suppresses the thyroid gland.
The thyroid regulates your metabolism.
If you hear the wind out here, I apologize.
I'm down here in Florida, and I'm outside.
So the first thing it does is it suppresses your body's ability
to convert T4 to T3.
The second thing is it increases cortisol levels
inside the body.
Cortisol is known as a stress hormone.
The third study shows that it increases cravings and hunger.
This particular study showed that people
who do too much cardio eat 100 more calories after they're
done than they just burned off, which
means it makes it impossible to keep
the body in a calorie deficit to burn belly fat.
And the last study shows that it raises levels of free radicals.
Free radicals are linked to accelerated aging, and many
of today's most modern health challenges.
So if you got something out of this video so far,
do me a favor--
click the like button, and share it.
Let's spread the word.
And before you click the link somewhere around this video,
I want to talk about a couple more things that are near
and dear to my heart, that I'm really passionate about.
The first thing is that for every person who
grabs a copy of the Over 40 Ab Solution,
we donate 90 days of clean water to a needy child
in a third world country.
And we're so passionate about our partnership
with Living Water International, that we've actually went
to Nicaragua the last three years for a week,
to help install water wells.
Last year alone my company, Get Lean in 12,
was fortunate and blessed enough to give $30,000
to Living Water International, because of people like you who
grabbed a copy of our system.
We installed four water wells across the globe
to help needy children.
One was done in Zimbabwe, where they had a medical clinic
that they couldn't open because people
were sick from the contaminated water.
So they couldn't open the medical clinic.
So as soon as the well was installed,
sponsored by Get Lean in 12-- thanks to folks like you who
take action and grab a copy--
now they opened up the medical clinic,
and they can treat all these sick people--
pretty cool stuff.
I also wrote down a couple things right here I just
want to quickly share with you.
Because when you go over to our web site,
you're going to see a bunch of guides.
So I don't want you to feel overwhelmed.
I want you just to start with the success tracker,
because it's going to give you the workout charts,
and it's going to give you the diet
tips that you need to follow with these workout charts.
And it's condensed into just like a 14 page manual.
Now you will have a 90 page manual
that you can read as well, but I recommend
you just start with the success tracker,
because more is not better.
We want to keep things simple.
That's the problem with weight loss.
It's confusing.
So I'm going to simplify your fat loss.
The other thing you're going to discover is timing--
the right timing, the right combinations,
and the right portion control of the foods that you eat.
This will allow the body to stay in a fat burning environment.
For example, did you know that if you
like to eat your favorite cheat foods a couple times
of the week, that you can do it and still potentially avoid
fat spillover, if you do it after that 12 Minute Protocol
found inside my system?
What else do I want to talk about here?
Yeah, so there's the Lean 19 diet tips.
So there's 19 diet tips for people over 40.
And the last thing that I want to talk about
is combinations of food.
So if you like carbohydrates, they
don't necessarily make you fat.
You just have to know how to eat them the right away.
So you want to eat them after exercise, because then they'll
be stored inside muscle tissue and liver tissue that's
just been depleted from the 12 Minute Protocol
that you performed.
You also want to combine them with protein.
This will help stabilize insulin to keep the body
in a fat burning environment.
And then you want to avoid excessive amounts of fat
when you eat carbs.
When you eat carbs, they'll typically
spike your insulin higher and faster than other foods.
And if a lot of fat is present in the bloodstream
at the same time, that insulin is a storage hormone,
so it could potentially take that fat and store it.
So the solution is, to keep your fat intake under 15 grams
when you eat carbs.
And of course, include a protein in that meal
to stabilize the insulin levels.
So again, if you got something out of this
and you learned something, make sure you share it.
Make sure you like it.
Drop a comment.
Let us know where you're from.
If you have questions, we'll do our best to answer them.
And everything that I talked about inside this video,
research-wise, all the studies will
be posted just above this video for all you science geeks
out there.
So thanks for watching this, and keep going strong.

Genealogical Forum of Oregon: Who We Are - Duration: 4:35.Family history research is the second most popular hobby in the United States.
Knowing where you're from knowing why you are the way you are knowing why you
have that nose or these eyes or some other physical characteristic it's just
learning more about yourself and where you came from. It just gives you a sense
of belonging to the human race and who you are and how you relate to history. In
Oregon there is no better place to find your roots than at the genealogical
forum of Oregon. The GFO is located in the historic Ford Building in Southeast
Portland. Tucked away in its unassuming basement sits the most impressive family
history library between San Francisco and Seattle. Our organization was founded
back in 1946 so we're 71 years old right now. We have a lot of rare and unique
books here for research that people might not find anyplace else. Most of our
books are geared toward genealogy. People are surprised at the size of our library.
When they come in no one expects it to be this big. I actually think we're up
close to 45,000 now and it's growing constantly. We just got a donation in of
wonderful new material,l about 60 books. About 15% of the collection focuses on
Oregon. Records include diaries of early settlers, the pioneers who came out on
the Oregon Trail. Rare original Oregon Masonic Lodge records fill several
shelves. And there's a collection of yearbooks for Pacific Northwest schools.
An extensive set of micro films includes copies of historic Oregon land claim
records and County deeds. We have drawers and drawers of microfilm why because
it's not all online. And we have some unique microfilm collections that that
are not readily available. The GFO's rare book section even includes the actual
original bound volumes of Multnomah County marriage records beginning in the
1850s. Multnomah County digitized them and was going to discard these.
We couldn't see such a valuable resource being discarded so we asked for them and
that is why we have them. But the GF owes remarkable library goes
far beyond Oregon. 85% of what you'll find here documents other states and
regions including the original American colonies and abroad. We have an excellent
overall collection for a state-based genealogical society and we have some
areas of considerable strength. A patron who is an expert in Virginia genealogy
gave us her collection on Virginia genealogy. So we have an outstanding
collection out of Virginia. The GFO holds superb resources for people researching
German heritage and it houses an especially large collection for French
Canadians. In the United States and Canada we have one of the best
collections on French Canada you're going to find anywhere. The genealogical
forum of Oregon offers more than just a library it's a thriving education center.
Seminars, workshops, and weekly special interest group meetings help teach the
ins and outs of genealogy for beginners and experienced researchers alike.
<embership in the GFO carries another valuable perk: free access to computer
databases that can cost a lot on their own. Access services like Ancestry, Fold 3
military records, History Geo, Find My Past and more. Plus you can get personal
research help from GFO volunteers. No one here at the GFO in 71 years has ever
earned a salary for working here. It's an all-volunteer organization. The computers
and databases are a great asset but it's the GFO's collection of some 45,000
holdings that offer hidden history you won't find anywhere els. Ot's still the
case that probably 90-95 % of all significant resources you might use to
advance your family research are not online. And the vast majority probably
never will be. We want people to come in and see what we have to offer. We've got
nearly 45,000 items in our library for the entire world not just for Oregon.
So come on by and check us out!

X Factor's Louis Walsh reunited with Eurovision's Slavko: 'We swapped numbers' - Duration: 4:14.X Factor's Louis Walsh reunited with Eurovision's Slavko: 'We swapped numbers'
We had Michelle Keegans ex appear to ask for a date, and Scarlett Lee get shouted at for her bad habits.
However, former Eurovision Song Contest star Slavko really stole the show.
The 31-year-old from Montenegro turned up to audition for Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger and Sharon Osbourne.
**STRICTLY 2017: FIRST MAJOR BOOB FAIL OF THE SERIES** However, it turns out he already knows a certain Louis Walsh.
It transpired that Slavko had met Louis in Kiev, where he had been attending with Irish act Brendan Murray.
HAIR-WHIPPING SAVAGA: Slavko auditioned for The X Factor following a stint on Eurovision.
I TOLD HIM TO AUDITION: It turns out Slavko knows Louis.
There, Louis suggested Slavko audition for the ITV singing competition.
As soon as he entered the room, Louis began giggling: Simon, I know this guy.
We met in a faraway country.
We met in Ukraine at the Eurovision.
I was there with an artist and Slavko was representing Montenegro.
I saw him backstage and I said You should do X Factor.
I thought he would do very well so I told him he should come and audition for this show..
DID YOU UNBLOCK HIS NUMBER?: Simon joked before Slavko wowed the judges.
Slavko Slavko appeared to be equally as fond of LuLu, explaining: I was in arena, and I was sitting there and I was like Oh my God Louis Walsh.
I approached him to say hello and he noticed the braid and everything in my costume because my costume was crazy. The pair revealed they ended up exchanging numbers before Simon joked: Have you unblocked his number now? Slavkos hair-whipping performance left Mr Nasty rather taken aback, as he replied: I can honestly say Ive never seen or heard anything like that..
THE NEXT ROUND: Slavko has made it through to Bootcamp.
However, he certainly won the other judge over with Sharon replying: You made me perspire. Nicole screamed yaas throughout his rendition of Beyoncés End Of time before calling him Savage.
Louis later gushed: Youre so different from anybody else weve seen…youre a proper showman youre a great dancer.
Youre not the best singer in the world but youre one of the best performers. Of course, Slavko has now made it through to Bootcamp.

That it was discovered
that if the bond was too close
then it would begin toward
and change the kind of power
that was generated by the spell.
We're bound together for life
Bound to fight together
to protect each other.
In battle,
our hearts beat as one.
If one of us were to die...
a part of the other would die
inside as well.
I love you,
you know that.
The Parabatai bond is like
a tether that binds two souls.
Share emotions,
instincts,
and strengths
it's the angelic bond
When you love someone,
they become a part of who you are.
They're in everything you do.
They're in the air you breathe
and the water you drink
and the blood in your veins.
Their touch stays on your skin
and their voice stays in your ears
and their thoughts stay in your mind.
