Odin Makes: A Grilled Cheese Sandwich - Duration: 2:11.

Hello! I'm Odin, and this time I am going to make another request.

It's grilled cheese sandwich.

I'll start off with some bread.

I can apply some butter to one side of the bread,

and then I can toast the bread.

(Sigh) Fine. I'll use a hot plate

I'll get a new piece of bread, apply some more butter,

and now I can toast the bread properly.

I'll have to cut the cheese and add that to the bread so it'll start to warm up.

Damnit!

Butter a piece of bread.

Cut the cheese.

Toast the bread.

Melt the cheese.

Now that I've grilled my cheese sandwich, I need to cut it in half, and to do that,

I'll use my bandsaw.

Now if you don't have a bandsaw, you could try using a table saw.

You could use a circular saw.

A jigsaw.

A reciprocating saw.

A hacksaw.

Pruning saw.

Or, in a pinch, you could even try a kitchen knife.

You can use this same idea to make other sandwiches too.

Grilled chesse on texas toast, rye, or even classic white bread.

All the ingredients I used are actually edible, and I put a part list in the description.

And remember, there are many different ways to make a sandwich,

But this is how Odin Makes.

If you liked the video or have other ideas for something for me to make, please leave them in the comments below.

And if you make any of these projects for yourself, I'd love to see a picture.

Send me one at odin@odinmakes.com

Well that's kind of a bummer.

Because it's actually working.

I was hoping it would just explode into flames, but it's actually just working.

Gardening tips ep.4 2017 - Duration: 28:47.

Ow!

Hello. Welcome to Gardening Tips 4 2017,

and welcome to my least favourite job of the year.

This is a lovely bramble called Rubus tibetianus.

But it's about as prickly as a plant knows how to be.

And also, wherever it touches the ground

it layers itself and makes new plants.

And very quickly, this can become a thicket.

So it must be cut right back to let the light in

and then these rich, new flowers can come through.

And I tell you what, a day like today doesn't feel like spring,

it feels like summer.

On tonight's programme...

We join Frances Tophill for the last time in Barbados,

where she visits a very special tropical garden.

And we meet Chris Baines,

who has changed a whole generation's approach to how we treat and value

the wildlife in our gardens.

I mentioned a few weeks ago

that I was planning big changes here in the orchard.

What I'm going to do is make a soft fruit garden

in the middle of the orchard, so we have layers of fruit.

But there's a lot of grass to remove

before we can even think of planting.

And I have, in the past,

removed turfs with this,

which is my grandfather's turf lifter.

And I know he used to use it, because it's his,

it's got his initials on it.

MMW, Matthew Montagu Wyatt.

And the way it worked was to cut along a line with a spade.

And then cut out slabs where you wanted the turf to go.

And then you got your turf lifter,

and you put it in under like that,

pushed down and slide it along.

And you have a turf.

And you do that over all the area you need to cover.

And you'll end up sore, exhausted

and glad you don't have to do it again.

However, I'm going to cheat.

I'm going to use a machine.

This is a turf cutter.

You can hire them from most hire shops.

They're not expensive, and they do a good job.

And they certainly take an awful lot of the sweat and graft

out of clearing an area like this.

And it doesn't matter if you're growing soft fruit,

flowers, vegetables -

if you've got grass and you want to grow plants,

you've got to remove that grass before you can prepare the soil.

And this works very simply. It's got four wheels

and it's got a blade underneath it that just simply oscillates

and goes underneath the turf,

cuts it all the way along.

And then when you've finished, you can just gather it up.

Pretty good, eh?

That is a lot easier than using grandpa's turfing spade.

There's going to be an awful lot of barrel loads of turf,

but none of it will be wasted.

Because I'll make a turf stack.

Now, a turf stack is made by taking individual turfs

and stacking them grass to grass.

Leave it for six months to a year.

And then if you slice down through it rather than across,

you have the roots of the turf,

and the grass itself have all biodegraded,

and what you get is an incredibly rich, crumbly loam.

Loam, really, is any soil that is filled with organic material,

which this will be.

Brilliant for adding to potting compost,

using to enrich a border,

or in a big pot to give some beef to plants.

Invaluable. So don't waste the turf.

Well, this is exciting.

And a dramatic new development here at Longmeadow.

But I guess not that unusual.

People are and have been growing soft fruit in allotments

and gardens all over the land for centuries.

But Frances Tophill spent her winter doing something

that was distinctly unusual.

Because she was working in a botanic garden in Barbados,

lucky thing.

And this week, we join her

as she sets out to visit a rather extraordinary garden.

At just under 300 square miles, Barbados is a tiny island.

It's one of the jewels of the Caribbean.

With its perfect, tropical climate,

it's home to some stunning tropical plants

and some very special tropical gardens.

I've been here in Barbados for a while now,

and I'm getting to know the island and the people

and everyone is so friendly.

But the one thing I keep hearing is,

"You must visit this amazing garden."

Apparently, it's magical.

So here I am, and I'm very excited.

This awesome garden has been created in a 100 foot deep crater,

or sinkhole, that was once described rather cruelly

as a useless piece of land where nothing would grow.

Wow.

It's just so big!

Look at the height of those palms!

All these orchids, you couldn't hope to get these in your house.

And here they're just growing outside.

It's really impressive.

Apart from rubbish,

the only thing here were these incredible royal palms.

Barbadian Anthony Hunt ignored local sentiment, saw the potential,

bought the land and created a paradise.

So Anthony, when you decided to take on the challenge,

how did you kind of go about creating the garden that you wanted?

Well, the first thing I had to do, of course, was build the steps.

Because when we had the steps finished,

once we did that then you could bring all the garbage out.

And the same time bring down the compost,

all the plants, all the pots.

And really all the big plants that we needed

to use for the landscaping. Plus the statues.

So, in terms of your planting design,

how would you say you approached that?

I prefer a lot of foliage for this garden because of the shade.

Because a lot of foliage would give it immense colour in the shade.

This plant is an Acalypha,

and we brought that in from Thailand.

And that whole area was a mass of shrubs.

And we took them all out.

And as you can see, there's a seating area in there now.

Anthony also has a novel way of using pots

to make the most of the warm Bajan climate.

We have these big dishes,

because you can instantly move them back to the nursery,

or move them to another area where it's sunny.

We can see the Spathoglottis.

Right now, full sun there.

But if the sun moves off them,

then maybe we'll put Anthuriums there.

And then when you see the Anthuriums,

oh, they're beginning to burn, then you move them. OK.

I have a huge collection of Bromeliads,

and I can march them around without any difficulty at all.

Do they like sun or shade?

Some like sun, some like shade. OK!

But you can just march them around.

But, because they have a really stiff leaf,

you have to be really careful.

Because if you take one out of deep shade

and then you move it into direct sun,

you can have burning.

So it's knowing your plants.

And knowing your garden.

Knowing the plants, knowing the garden,

and know where it's come from.

Anthony is constantly tweaking and refreshing the plants in his garden,

and grows many of them himself.

He uses one method, called air layering,

that encourages roots to grow from the stem of an existing plant.

So first thing you do is tear off the leaves like this.

Get them off.

And about one inch, you just take a knife or a secateurs,

you take the skin off all the way around, OK? OK.

And then, on this piece that you've got,

where there's no bark,

you put rooting powder.

Now, this is a hard wood cutting. Yeah. So I use for hard wood.

Once the flesh of the stem is exposed, the area is wrapped

in damp compost and covered with foil to keep it moist.

When the new roots have developed,

the stem is cut below these new roots, creating a new plant.

While the mother plant continues to flourish.

It's a simple but effective technique

that can be used in the UK, mainly on shrubs.

This is one that's been air layered about six weeks ago,

and we have a new plant to put anywhere else in the garden.

I just want to say as well,

six weeks in Barbados is not six weeks in the UK.

I doubt very much you'd have roots like this after six weeks.

The answer really is to, when you come on holiday,

you want to air layer your plants.

Bring them on holiday for two months to Barbados.

SHE LAUGHS

The great thing about this garden is it's full of these little intimate,

smaller spaces that force you to stop and take in the views.

And it's a really great design tool for anyone with a big garden.

But if you had a small, urban plot like this,

that might be a house next to you.

And he's put these huge bananas in.

Anything that's big can make the whole space

feel enclosed and really, really intimate.

The thing about this garden that's so noticeable is that it's

absolutely crammed full of plants.

If you weren't careful, you could very easily walk around without ever

looking up, just looking at all the different things.

And crucially, all those plants are really foliage-driven,

just a few little accents of small, incidental flowers.

But then you get down to the very bottom of the sinkhole here

and it's a big, open space,

and it gives you a real chance for the first time

to take in that amazing view and that steep slope.

What does it feel like, that this is your garden?

It's just an incredible feeling.

Every morning to wake up on site, overlooking the garden.

I just can't wait to get in the garden

with the cool morning air and just enjoy.

It is interesting how often that an unlikely location

brings out the creativity in gardeners.

You do find that you get these stunning gardens

in sites that have been written off by an awful lot of people.

But lovely to see it.

Now, going from the exotic to the ordinary, but sometimes sublime.

Because it's potato-planting time.

And anybody who grows any veg at all, sooner or later,

is going to grow some spuds.

But they do take up an awful lot of room,

and if you haven't got an allotment or a garden big enough

to give over to rows of potatoes, you may be put off.

But don't be.

Because you can grow potatoes very successfully in a bag.

Now, it could be a bin bag.

It could be an old shopping bag.

But you can buy special potato-growing bags.

And actually, these are very good.

Because they're strong

and they've got holes in the bottom for drainage.

And you can reuse them.

And they just do the job very nicely indeed.

You can buy a peat-free potting compost,

and that be fine and they'll grow perfectly well.

I'm actually adding a little bit of home-made compost.

That's going to get them going to a good start.

Right.

And fill it half full.

Now, logic says that a bag that size

would need no more than one seed potato.

Because when you're planting them out in the ground,

you would space them 18 inches,

sometimes two foot apart, if they're main crop.

But it has been found that if you crowd them in a bag,

you actually get a better crop.

So I'm going to put three in a bag that size.

Now, this is a variety called Orla,

and they'll be ready to harvest about the beginning of July.

And you can see, there's a little eye there.

And that's the shoot that's going to produce the foliage.

If you've got three or four, rub the extras off.

You only need one.

Pop them in with the eye sticking up.

And then cover them over with more compost.

And then, when the foliage reaches the top of the bag,

you can earth it up by covering it with more compost.

And that will encourage better tuber formation

and also stop any risk of them getting green.

Because where the tubers see the light,

they turn green and then they're poisonous and no good.

So you've got to keep them covered with soil.

You don't need to put that anywhere warm.

You don't need to water it at this stage,

only water it when you start to see the growth.

That's it. Growing potatoes is easy.

And you'll be amazed at how delicious and satisfying

that crop of new potatoes in July is going to be.

Now, all of us garden presenters

have been putting forward the argument for the one plant,

the Golden Jubilee plant,

that has had the most impact on the way that we garden and look at our

gardens over the last 50 years.

And this week, it's the chance for Mark Lane to put forward his case.

Echinacea has undergone an explosion in popularity

in the last 15 to 20 years.

It was brought over in the 18th century as a herbal remedy

from North America, and now we use it to extend the season

from June all the way through into autumn.

And there are wonderful cultivars, all in different colours.

And also different shapes and forms.

The Greek word for Echinacea is actually echinos,

which means hedgehog.

And it looks just like that,

especially when it's covered in frost through the winter months.

My favourite is Echinacea pallida.

It's absolutely beautiful and sublime,

and the petals are actually really elongated

and just droop down from the central cone.

And it just looks wonderful.

Its impact on the naturalistic, prairie style of planting

is why Echinacea is my Golden Jubilee plant.

When you've heard all ten proposals,

you'll have a chance to vote on your Golden Jubilee impact plant.

And then we'll announce the result at GW Live in June.

And we'll be telling you how to that.

Now, here at Longmeadow, we've been cutting back with a vengeance.

The grass borders have had their annual shear.

But in the Jewel Garden,

I've cut back the purple hazels,

that's let in a lot more light already.

And you can see new, fresh growth almost by the day.

Which makes it the perfect moment

to lift and divide herbaceous perennials.

Herbaceous perennials, as the name implies,

die right back in winter

and then start to grow very vigorously in spring.

This is a group of Iris sibirica,

a lovely Iris with small,

intense blue flowers.

And the point about doing it at this time of year is that the roots

are really being vigorous.

So that if you dig them up quickly and replant,

those roots want to grow.

They want to get out into new conditions.

And so, instead of checking them, in many ways it stimulates growth.

And you can see there,

good, healthy plant, and because it will grow outwards,

that will have renewed vigour.

Now, I do have some Iris in here.

I've got a clump growing in there

and another one there.

So I want to bulk it out.

And the ideal place would be right here.

I want to fill around the roots as well as possible.

And then give it a good soak.

It needs moisture, particularly if it's had a shock,

which digging it up will certainly give it.

But also, it washes the soil in around those small roots.

And it's a really good way of making sure

there's good contact between the feeding roots

and the soil around it.

What we're trying to do at this time of year

is build the garden up so that it performs at a crescendo.

Now, here in the Jewel Garden,

that's going to be August, September time.

And one of the aspects of it that I love around that time of year

is that it is filled with glorious butterflies.

And the growth of appreciating and valuing and encouraging wildlife

in our gardens can be put down largely to the work of one man.

Chris Baines, who pioneered the idea of wildlife gardening

in the 1970s and '80s.

And we went along to meet him.

I grew up in Sheffield, in a family that was always out,

always walking in the countryside, always in the garden.

So I had a great love of nature from the very beginning.

But I also saw most of my childhood landscape built over.

It was, you know, the overspill area for the city.

So the quarry pond I used to fish for newts in went,

the hay field across the road went.

And that, I think, coloured my life quite a lot, with hindsight.

And through the '70s, there was a big, growing awareness

that the countryside was not the same place that had been

10, 15 years before.

So the whole nature conservation movement

was beginning to build up steam.

But it was completely preoccupied with agriculture.

The agricultural revolution, the loss of hedgerows.

But nobody in the conservation movement

really was looking at towns and cities.

And the idea that there could be anything worth saving

in the middle of towns never crossed the conservationists' mind.

I'd also been working in problem housing areas

in Brixton and Toxteth and Deptford.

And what I'd been doing was working with kids, particularly.

Getting them involved in growing things.

And it became very obvious that, actually,

you didn't need to see otters and golden eagles.

If you could watch a ladybird walking up a plant stem,

that was intriguing enough on the doorstep.

And I remember at the end of the Brixton riots in '81,

when everything was trashed and burnt out,

nobody had touched the sunflowers on the Tulse Hill nature garden.

Because the kids had planted them with me.

And everybody at that estate knew that.

So I was really convinced that, actually,

quite modest nature conservation where people lived and worked

had a real role to play.

I trained in horticulture in the 1960s,

and also I spent three years at university

being taught how to kill everything.

And wildlife in the garden was either a pest,

a disease or a weed.

And the idea that you would encourage it was just...

Nobody had really thought about it or talked about it.

But I think the big breakthrough came when,

for some reason, Gardening tips invited me to do

a kind of makeover of a raw garden on a housing estate in Peterborough.

And I had the choice of what I did with this garden.

And halfway through the makeover, Peter Seabrook,

who was presenting the programme then, said...

Chris, what's your sort of master plan here?

Well, I've designed what I've called a rich habitat garden.

It's a garden to sit in, hopefully, rather than to slave away in.

And I've also designed it, hopefully, to be attractive

to lots of wildlife, to birds and butterflies and so on.

And he just looked at me with one of those looks, and he said,

"And you really think gardeners are going to be interested in that?"

And clearly they were,

because I produced a leaflet to go with my rich habitat garden,

and they were inundated with requests for copies.

12,000 people wrote in for a copy in the first two or three days.

By the middle of the '80s,

I really felt that there was

a message that needed to be communicated there.

And three things came together.

First of all, I decided that,

if I was going to ever reach the horticultural establishment,

Chelsea Flower Show was the place to go.

So I created the very first wildlife garden

at Chelsea Flower Show in '85.

And the RHS was so confused by that, that on the medal,

it's inscribed to JC Baines for his "wildfire garden".

Because they clearly couldn't believe anybody would be

crazy enough to have wildlife and garden in the same sentence.

The public loved it. Absolutely loved the garden.

Full of primroses and violets and so on.

The second thing was that I moved house

and decided that actually filming the change in the garden

over a year would be a great thing to do.

And I made a programme called Bluetits And Bumblebees,

which took a very plain and ordinary garden and over the space

of 12 months put in a pond, grew the flowers and the wildlife came.

And the third thing was that I wrote a book,

How To Make A Wildlife Garden,

because it was obvious that people wanted help,

they needed lists of plants, they needed to know what to do.

And those three things really made a difference.

I never felt that there was a need for a complete change.

What I've always wanted

is for ordinary people with ordinary gardens

to just tweak things a bit.

Not to turn them all into nature reserves, but rather to say,

"Well actually, yeah,

"my little garden could make a bit of a difference

"to the wider landscape, and give me more pleasure."

And now, if you go into any garden centre,

you're confronted by just mountains of bird food

and bird feeders and nest boxes.

So there's been a complete revolution in many ways.

And from a conservation point of view,

it's very clear that all of those gardeners making

a little bit of difference in their own patch

has been the salvation of frogs and dragonflies and goldfinches

and a whole range of species.

And that gives me a great buzz, even now.

Well, Chris has inspired and influenced a whole generation

to value wildlife and see it as an important part of the garden.

However, sometimes wildlife can be a little bit of a challenge.

Here in a tulip bed, I noticed yesterday a rabbit hole.

So I filled it in.

Came out this morning, and the little blighter

has dug in exactly the same place.

I think even the patience of the Sainted Chris Baines

might be stretched by that rabbit.

Come on.

Well, the weather's been all over the shop today.

We have blazing sunshine, it's been quite chilly.

So let's see what the weather is going to be like for you

over the next couple of days.

Well, at this time of year,

sometimes it's hard to know where to begin in the garden.

So here are three jobs you can focus on.

Epimediums are among the most elegant of all spring flowers.

But this can be hidden by last year's foliage.

So trace the delicate stems of the foliage right back to the ground

and cut them off.

This will reveal the flowers in all their graceful glory.

If you grow gooseberries and leave them unpruned,

they can become a spiny tangle.

So cut away the centre of the bush,

looking to create an open goblet shape.

This will get more light to the fruit.

It will improve ventilation, which will avoid mildew.

And also be much less likely to suffer from gooseberry sawfly.

There's a wide choice of herbaceous perennial

available in garden centres at the moment.

But many of them are in three-inch pots, and very small.

It's quite early to be planting out.

However if you buy them now,

pot them on in a bit of potting compost, put them to one side,

and in a month's time, they'll be bigger, stronger,

healthy plants and you will have saved yourself a lot of money.

This is the turf stack I was telling you about.

With the turfs that the turf cutter has lifted,

we have them grass side there.

Place it down so it's grass on grass.

This will build up. And in six months' time,

will have rotted down and make a lovely loam.

Well, we'll have to wait for that.

And also wait for our next programme,

because that's it for today.

But I'll see you back here at Longmeadow next time.

Till then, bye-bye.

Why I Don't Do VEDA | Kate's Adventures - Duration: 5:17.

Hi everyone! It's coming up to that time of year again where everybody participates in VEDA.

If you haven't heard of VEDA, it's "Video Every Day in April"

and similar versions happen throughout the year

where people take on a challenge to upload a video every single day of the month.

Now I've been on YouTube two years, I've seen plenty of VEDAs and similar things happen,

I've seen a lot of people have a lot of great fun,

but it's not something I've ever participated in myself

and it's not something that I plan to participate in any time soon.

So today I just wanted to share some of my reasons as to why I don't do VEDA.

Whenever I think about VEDA, there are two big reasons that come into my mind

as to why it would be unrealistic for me to take part and the first one is to do with content.

Now I've done daily vlogs before, I do a sort of daily vlog whenever I go on holiday

and the videos that come out of that can sometimes be like 15 to 20 minutes long.

It can sometimes be really difficult to get everything that's happened

and everything that's captured into 15 to 20 minutes.

But that's when I'm on holiday, that's when I'm exploring new places

that's when I'm doing something adventurous.

Most of the time on a day off

I'm just sitting at home, just having what I consider to be a regular day

and that would mean that if I were to do VEDA,

I would probably be doing little videos about whatever's on my mind.

I really don't have that much on my mind!

After a week the videos would probably start to dwindle down in quality

and I don't really want to subject anybody to 30 videos of me just babbling nonsense.

My second reason for missing out on VEDA

is probably the reason that a lot of people skip videos during VEDA

or miss out on VEDA altogether or quit VEDA

and that is the amount of time and commitment that doing 30 videos a month would take.

If you've never tried to make a YouTube video before,

with all due respect you're probably underestimating how long it takes

and how complicated it can be.

And another thing that I do on my videos that a lot of people choose to skip out is captioning

and that takes a lot of time too but I really feel like I'm not comfortable

with a video going live until it has captions on it.

I've had to do it a couple of times and I feel so so bad whenever I have to do it.

I like people to be able to understand what I'm saying one hundred percent

and have all the tools that they need to understand what I'm saying.

So VEDA is a video every day and that's not just filming, that's not just editing

that's having it up every single day and that's why VEDA's a challenge,

that's why people drop out. It's genuinely something that cannot be underestimated

and I know that for me personally I would find it very stressful

having to constantly think of deadlines and having to constantly work within such big pressure.

It's just not something that I would find enjoyable.

I have so much respect for everybody who's giving VEDA a go.

If you're a creator who's doing VEDA I wish you the very best of luck,

I hope you have a great time during April, I hope you learn lots as a creator

and things that maybe help you out with YouTube. I just hope you have a great time.

VEDA for me isn't going to be possible in the traditional sense,

but I'll maybe try and find a way to join in in my own little way.

I'll maybe write down like a different video idea every day or I'll maybe find a video to caption every day

I haven't really decided yet but I'd love to do something in April

that kind of helps me to grow my YouTube channel in my own little way

and kind of join in with the fun in my own little game. I don't really know what I'm going to do.

So if anybody has ideas of how I can join in VEDA without joining in VEDA, put them down below.

Um also if anybody's going to be watching VEDA, if anybody

has any suggestions of who I should be watching during VEDA, put them down below too,

I'd love to hear your suggestions. I find that I watch a lot during VEDA.

As don't really film...as much, definitely not as much as anybody doing VEDA.

So thank you so so much for watching and enjoy April. Thanks everyone, cheerio!

I can't believe it's been like almost two years since I started my YouTube channel.

It's went so quickly but then I've got over 150 videos like where did they come from?

How did that happen?! It's like somebody just went snap and I'm here.

However long you've been here, thank you for watching. That's really cool of you. Cheerio.

DIY: Hasenohren, Arme und Beine für dein Amigurumi häkeln - Duration: 14:44.

Hi and warmly welcome to Fluffy's Crochet Corner!

Today I show you how to crochet ears, arms and legs for your amigurumi rabbit or bunny

We begin with long ears. Do a magic ring and insert 6 single crochets.

After you did your 6 single crochets pull the magic ring tight

In the next round do 6 increases

Come out with 12 single crochets

In the next round do [1 single crochet, increase] 6 times

Come out with 18 stitches

Next do 10 simple rounds with 18 single crochets each

In the next round do [7 single crochets, decrease] 2 times

I like to use the invisible decrease technique, which you do as follows

Insert hook into the front loop of the first stitch, then into the front loop of the second stitch

You now have 3 loops on your hook. Pull your yarn through two of them

And then pull it through the resulting two loops

Do 4 rounds with 16 single crochets each

In the next round do [7 single crochets, decrease] 2 times

Of course you best use the invisible decrease technique again

Therefore insert hook into the front loop of the two stitches

Get your yarn through two of the three loops on your hook

and pull it once again through the remaining two loops

Afterwards you do 4 rounds with 14 single crochets each

In the next round do [5 single crochets, decrease] 2 times

Afterwards do 4 rounds with 12 single crochets each

Sew the ears to the head

Always do one stitch into the head and then one into the last round of the ear

And then pull it really tight, so you cannot see the stitch anymore

When you are back where you started

Tie yarn end to the ear and hide it somewhere inside the head.

Next we do the arms.

Start with a magic ring and insert 6 single crochets

And pull tight in the end

In the second round do 6 increases

Come out with 12 single crochets

Do two round with 12 single crochets each

In the next round do [single crochet, decrease] 4 times

Use the invisible technique if you like

Come out with 8 stitches

Do 7 rounds with 8 single crochets each

Ready you are with the arm, you may now cut your yarn end

Stuff a little filling into the hand

and sew the arms to the body.

As you see here, I personally like to see on the legs first and do the arms afterwards, but you may also sew them on now, this is up to you.

Start the legs with a magic ring and 6 single crochets as you are now well used to

Pull tight at the end

Then once again do 6 increases

and come out with 1 stitches

Then do 4 rounds with 12 single crochets each

In the next round do [4 single crochets, decrease] 2 times

At the end you should have 10 stitches left

Stuff just a little bit

From now on you do a small bit in rows

To get the first row, press the foot together like this and do 5 single crochets, inserting hook always through two stitches of the last round

Chain 1 and turn

and do 5 single crochets back

Then chain 1, turn and do another 5 single crochets

This time, you do not chain, but do a decrease by just crocheting on without it,

then do 1 single crochet

and one decrease. I use the standard decrease technique, here, because it is better when working in rows, I think

Ok, so now we have to work our way up.

In order to do so do 12 single crochets in a circle onto the foot as follows:

Start with 3 single crochets at the back

then do another 3 at the side

(no surprises here)

but then you have to work right across the foot like this with another 3 single crochets

(always get one single crochet of the foot on your hook and then work your single crochet around it)

finally do another 3 single crochets on the other side

and come out with 12 stitches

In the next round do 12 single crochets

In the next round do 2 increases at the front, apart from that do single crochets around

this is where I do my two increases

and then go on with single crochets until the end of the round and come out with 14 stitches altogether

Same thing in the next round: 2 increases at the front, apart from that single crochets around

Come out with 16 stitches

And one last time: 2 increases at the front, apart from that single crochets around

End up with 18 stitches

Do 2 rounds with 18 single crochets each

In the next round do [single crochet, decrease] 6 times

Afterwards you stuff the foot.

Now, this is a bit tricky, because the amigurumi will stand best when the foot is tightly stuffed, but it looks nicer when there is just a little bit filling in the foot...

So, you decide what is more important

Then you do 6 decreases to close the leg

When you have done the other leg in the same way you sew both legs onto the body

Last thing we have to do is the tail.

I do it in rose according to the heart on the front, but of course you can do it in any colour you like

Once again you start with a magic ring and 6 single crochets into it

Then increase 6

Come out with 12 stitches

In the next round do 12 single crochets

Then decrease 6

Stuff the tail a little

And sew it to the body

So this is you easter bunny!

Thanks for watching and of course have a nice easter holiday you all!

See you soon on Fluffy's Youtube channel.

Real or FAKE ANIME?? Pt. 2! | Thomas Sanders - Duration: 12:46.

I would suggest not picking a fight with me...

...I will cry very very loudly...

...and it will be embarrassing for the both of us.

What is up everybody!!

So, by now, you know that I am a big fan of anime...

...and not too long ago I made a video...

...where I asked you all to submit to me plots of either REAL anime...

...or plots that you made up to FAKE anime...

...and I had to guess which was which.

And it turns out, there was a LOT of anime I had no idea existed!

Since then, I have discovered a whole bunch of new anime to watch.

I still have a bunch more to check out.

But despite me now having a very long list of actual anime to watch...

I wanted to add more to that list, so...

...we're doing a part 2 to this video.

Because there is just TOO MANY ANIMES

And I know that you have a lot of new ones to throw at me...

...and I know that you all wanna stump me. (Laughs)

So earlier, I asked you all on Twitter to either submit to me...

... a plot to a REAL anime using the hashtag #TSRealAnime

...OR a plot that you just made up to a FAKE anime that doesn't exist...

...using the hashtag #TSFakeAnime

And now, I'm going to have them read to me, and I am going to have to guess whether they are real or fake...

...and I don't know how I am going to do here. (Laughs)

The Shift from Carbon Base to Crystalline Silicon Structure Bodies - Duration: 21:53.

The Shift from Carbon Base to Crystalline Silicon Structure Bodies

Have you been wondering lately why you seem so tired almost to the point of exhaustion,

or feeling irritable, angry, lonely, sad, frustrated, or all of the above, and you cant

figure out why?

Have you been asking yourself why youre behaving in ways, or feeling things, that

dont seem to fit with who you know yourself to be, or that just dont make any sense?

Or wondering why the people in your life seem to be reacting differently to you?

Either theyre more excited than ever to be with you, or the complete opposite, theyre

picking fights with you or being upset with you for no apparent reason?

Or perhaps in going through what you consider to be a normal day, at times you feel as if

you simply cannot keep your eyes open, like sleep is simply begging you to come and be

with it?

Does life at times seem empty and without meaning, even when youre doing things that

you used to love?

Welcome to the ascension process, and the symptoms that many experience along that path.

The primary thing to know is that you are not alone, and things will get better.

For those folks whove been aware of and consciously involved with ascension, these

physical and emotional experiences are all too familiar.

Some of these folks have been experiencing the changes for some time, or may have even

passed through them by now.

For some this may go back a decade or two or even more.

When confronted with these unusual and often unwanted experiences, the first thing we typically

want to know is why?

Why are these things happening?

You may have heard it said that were shifting from carbon-based beings to crystalline-based

beings.

Perhaps youve heard that theres more to our DNA than we have thought or that science

has thus far been able to discover; that what we were told were the junk parts of our DNA

are being reactivated.

Maybe youve heard people talking about Pineal Activations and similar things.

These concepts are all very real, and even our physical sciences are beginning to be

aware of them.

It all has to do with the light energy thats penetrating us, our world, and everything

on it, easing us into the new world and a new way of being.

So you could say that it isnt just Nova Earth were building, its Nova Human

as well.

List of Common Ascension Symptoms:

Feeling as though you are in a pressure cooker or intense energy or stress.

This is one of the first ascension feelings that a person usually feels.

In the beginning, when the energy shifts arrive, they bring with them a new and higher vibration.

Old patterns and behaviors are being pushed to the surface for release.

Feeling all this pressure going on inside of you can feel like great stress or that

you are on overload.

If you are still in a conventional life with mainstream pressures, this New energy can

really add to your pile.

You will eventually adjust to this higher vibration and much will be activated for release

within you as well.

More room inside for more of the higher energy!

Depression.

This symptom is most definitely in the top three and very widely experienced.

The ascension process purges so much of the darker and denser energies from us, that we

find ourselves in them for quite some time.

We may feel like things are simply never going to get better.

And to add insult to injury, the outer world is no longer in alignment with the new, higher

vibrating you.

Anxiety, panic, and feelings of hysteria.

When our egos begin to depart, they literally freak out as they do not want to cease to

exist.

It may feel as if everything is ending (most of everything is!).

Your system is also on overload and you may feel as if you are hyperventilating.

Things are happening that you may not understand.

You are also losing behavior patterns of a lower vibration that you developed for survival

in 3D.

This may make you feel vulnerable and powerless.

These patterns and behaviors you are losing are not needed in the higher realms.

When we experience death in a 3D world we can panic and have anxiety as we do not know

where we are going.

A need to eat often along with what feels like attacks of low blood sugar.

A craving for protein.

This is another of the first symptoms that is felt by many.

Our bodies are using up an incredible amount of fuel for this process.

As we are literally being turned inside-out, every ounce of energy that we have is being

utilized.

I have found it best to eat the protein along with being still during this time.

These low blood sugar periods come and go for several years, but get much better as

our bodies begin adjusting.

Unusual aches and pains throughout different parts of your body.

This is another of the most common symptoms.

Manifesting just about anywhere, this is a sign of purifying and releasing blocked energy

that is vibrating at a 3D level while other parts of us are vibrating higher.

You may feel pain in various parts of your body for several weeks and then it will simply

vanish with no explanation.

Continual neck and upper back stiffness and pain.

Our spines are vibrating differently and also connecting to a higher form of light.

This area of our body is where it all happens.

Skin eruptions and diarrhea.

Acne, rashes, and hives, etc. usually arrive when we are in the purging process and adjusting

to a higher energy.

Rashes are fairly common and diarrhea can last for weeks and even months.

Be mindful of what you eat.

Your body is going through intense change and cannot handle heavy foods that are difficult

to digest.

Use your discernment and consult your Higher Self if you are unsure of what to eat.

Heart pain and palpitations.

These symptoms are common for many.

Our hearts are trying to accommodate a new and higher frequency.

At times you can feel as though you are having a heart attack.

When this happens it is important to rest as any exertion can make the symptoms seem

much worse.

Know that you are not dying!

At times it may even feel like your heart has stopped beating, and you may feel fear.

Stay calm!

Keep in contact with your Higher Self for reassurance.

Periods of very deep sleeping.

When the energy is not moving and we are done for awhile, we get to rest.

While we are integrating and preparing for the next phase of intense moving energy, we

become very lethargic.

It can become near impossible to keep your eyelids open in the daylight hours and daytime

napping can become a regular and necessary habit.

Even if you think you can exercise your way back into some energy, you will usually find

yourself dropping dead on the sofa at every effort.

Experiencing emotional ups and downs; weeping.

Our emotions are what carries the energy.

When we are falling apart (and we are doing just that), we can get pretty emotional.

When we are releasing, we can cry at the drop of a hat.

A sad movie can make us cry, or even a sad commercial.

We can cry when we experience kindness.

We can cry when we feel relief.

We can cry when we see any kind of suffering.

These tears are a great cleanser and releaser.

I always know when some New energy has arrived because I can simply cry while I am driving

along in the car.

This seems to be an on-going symptom that is here to stay for awhile.

But at least it is fairly painless!

Night sweats and hot flashes.

At certain times you will become very hot for no reason.

This happens when your Higher Self moves into close proximity to you for some reason.

Their energy is much more dense than yours and when they are close to you, you will feel

intense heat.

Feeling cold with an inability to get warm.

As your body adjusts to the higher frequency of energy, you may find that you have periods

of intense cold.

It is normal.

Add an extra blanket to your bed and take hot showers or a hot bath when this happens.

Vivid, wild and sometimes violent dreams.

We are releasing many lifetimes of lower vibrational energy through our dreams.

If you are one who receives their higher information through dreams, you will likely do a lot of

releasing at night.

I consider you to be lucky, as some are doing much of their releasing when they are awake.

These dreams usually do not make sense, but if you are good at dream analysis you can

usually figure them out.

These acid-trip-like dreams are up and visible because they contain energy thats on its

way out, never to return.

Through this process we are releasing all of the negative energy we accumulated during

our past lives.

Dizziness, loss of balance, vertigo, and spinning.

This happens when our Merkabah is forming.

The Merkabah is the transportation vehicle of the light body.

It is a 6th dimensional cube that rotates and spins.

During its formation you may feel periods of dizziness and vertigo as the cube calibrates

itself with your energy.

When this happens, sit down and take a break for a little while.

It usually doesnt last for long.

Overall body pain and days of extreme fatigue.

Our bodies are taking in higher density energy and this is the reason you will experience

these symptoms.

High density energy can make you feel as if your bones are crushing and your muscles ache

as if you have just sprinted in a major marathon.

You may suddenly feel as if you are 100 years old and can barely walk across the room.

Gritty, itchy eyes and blurred vision.

Very simply, our eyes are adjusting to see in a new and higher density of energy.

When this adjustment has been completed your vision will be sharp and clear, and colors

will stand out for you as they never have before.

Memory loss and difficulty accessing words.

So many are having this symptom that we can only laugh as we try to converse with each

other.

I was having a glass ofyou know what I meanthat white stuffuhwhats

it called? Did you watch theerthat event where everyone competes from around

the world?

At times we cannot talk at all because we are simply unable to access much of anything.

When this occurs you are going back and forth between dimensions and experiencing disconnect.

Another somewhat related occurrence is trying to type words and having the letters become

jumbled in the wrong order.

In this case, we are not in alignment with time and our flow is disconnected, as part

of our energy is here and another part is further ahead.

Difficulty remembering what you did or who you talked to a day or sometimes just an hour

before.

In the higher realms, reality is very much in the moment.

If we do not hold something in our consciousness, it simply ceases to exist.

We have no attachments.

We are creating our own world around us through our beliefs and thoughts and what we do not

hold onto does not exist.

Everything is brand new as we are starting completely over, moment to moment.

We can tap into whatever we choose to at any moment and create and experience just that.

This state comes and goes, but is practice for living in the higher realms.

It can feel a bit creepy when it occurs.

In addition, at times we are neither here nor there, as we are in between dimensions.

A feeling of disorientation; not knowing where you are; a loss of a sense of place.

Where in the world am I?

I do not fit anywhere and nothing seems to fit or feel remotely right!

And I do not know where I belong or where I am going or what I am supposed to be doing

either! Ever had this conversation with the Universe!?

You have been knocked out of your old grooves by an energy shift and are in between realities.

You have successfully left much behind and are in a very new space but have not integrated

yet.

A loss of identity.

You look in the mirror and have a strange feeling of disconnect as you no longer recognize

that once familiar image.

You almost feel out of body.

Once this phenomenon occurs it never ends.

You have released so much of your ego self, that you are no longer the same person, and

do not have that attachment or connection to your physical vessel.

As you begin to access much more of your soul or higher self, you are not in your body much.

You may still use your voice to communicate and other bodily aspects, but you are slowly

beginning the process of disappearing and releasing the human form.

In addition, you have cleared much of your old patterns and are embodying much more light

and a simpler, more purified divine you.

All is in orderyou are OK.

Feeling out of body.

The same explanation as above.

The physical body is the last to catch up.

Much of us is now in a higher dimension and residing outside of our bodies, as our physical

bodies are not there yet.

Seeing and hearing things.

As we can now access different dimensions fairly easily, it is common for many to see

things out of the corner of their eyes or hear things when nothing is there.

Many also experience ringing in the ears, which is common when we are going through

the tunnel and accessing a higher dimension.

Depending upon how sensitive you are and how you are wired, this can be a common experience.

Many are seeing orbs and vibrating blobs of color as well.

Feeling you are going insane, or must be developing a mental illness of some sort.

We are rapidly experiencing several dimensions and greatly opening.

Much is available to us now.

You are just not used to it.

Your awareness has been heightened and your barriers are gone.

This will pass and you will eventually feel very at Home like you have never felt before,

as Home is now here.

Intolerance

An intolerance for lower vibrational things (of the 3D), reflected in conversations, attitudes,

societal structures, healing modalities, etc.

They literally make you feel sick inside.

When we begin arriving in the higher realms and in a higher vibration, our energies are

no longer in alignment with the old, outside 3D world.

Through a severe intolerance to the old, we are being pushed to move forwardto

and create the New.

In addition, you may feel like staying home or just being alone, as much of everything

out there no longer matches the higher vibration of YOU.

This is simply a very common experience of evolution.

We are moving forward before the outside manifestations are.

Being in the old can feel downright awful.

It is similar to having to go back after you have had a near death experience.

As the ascension process continues, going back to the lower dimensions will not feel

good nor will it be possible for long, as it is difficult to drop our vibration down

in order to reside there.

You dont feel like doing anything.

You are in a rest period, rebooting.

Your body knows what it needs.

During this time you may feel as though you have lost your passion and joy and dont

know what in the world you want to do with your life and dont really care!

This phase occurs when we are realigning.

At higher levels much is realigning as well.

Things are being put into position so that all will be ready when you move forward again.

In addition, when we begin reaching the higher realms, doing and making things happen becomes

obsolete as the New energies support the feminine of basking, receiving, creating, self-care

and nurturing.

Ask the Universe to bring you what you want while you cannot do it for yourself.

And know that you are always being taken care of during the ascension process, even if it

does not feel like it at times.

Those in the physical going through this process are very highly revered by all the cosmos.

We are most certainly being watched over.

A longing to go Home, as if everything is OVER and you dont belong here anymore.

We are basically done with our incarnation that involved raising the frequency of the

planet with a goal of reaching critical mass.

We achieved a lot of this through transmuting the darker and denser energies through ourselves.

Now we dont have to do that anymore and may feel like we simply want out of here and

away from that experience.

What is coming next is simply divine and does not remotely resemble the first phase.

Sudden changes of friends, activities, habits, jobs and residences.

One of the most basic and prevalent experiences in the higher realms involves the Law of Attraction.

Like energies always attract like and similar energies.

This relates to the dimensional hierarchies as well.

We will always be matched with what and how we are vibrating.

As we go higher and higher, this phenomenon becomes much more magnified and also becomes

one of the basic cores of our reality and existence.

Through the ascension process we evolving beyond what we used to be, and therefore the

people and surroundings that no longer match our vibration simply leave our space.

This can sometimes occur rather dramatically or at times through a simple desire resulting

from the inability to relate to them like we used to.

You absolutely cannot do certain things anymore.

When you try to do your usual routine and activities, it feels downright awful.

Same as above.

Youre no longer a fit and its time to move on to a much higher vibrating way of

living, being, and creating.

Waking at night between 2 and 4 a.m.

Much is going on in your dream state.

You cant be there for long lengths of time and need a break.

This is also the cleansing and releasing hour.

When we awaken in the middle of the night were not only in enhanced awareness, but

were also in an enhanced state of creation.

In this state, our ability to transform our thoughts into reality is greatly increased.

The challenge is to become conscious of what we are thinking about, and therefore what

we are creating.

Instead many simply allow their thoughts to flow from them by default, thereby creating

realities that are not really to their liking.

Meaning .. if you worry about not being able to sleep, and worry during this period that

you are going to be tired in the morning because you cant get enough rest, youll only

be adding to the likelihood that you are going to be tired in the morning.

A much more useful plan is to enjoy the enhanced creativity and tell yourself instead that

youre going to be invigorated and energized by this period of heightened awareness and

creativity.

Then be amazed at the result!

Heightened sensitivities to your surroundings.

Bright light, crowds, noise, foods, TV, other human voices and various other stimulation

are barely tolerable.

You also overwhelm very easily and become easily overstimulated.

Know that this will eventually pass and you will be able to tune out and be in control

of what you wish to experience.

Humming and/or ringing in the ears.

This is not Tinnitus, though it feels like it might be.

The other thing that will be happening very soon as a result of all the things that you

are moving through, is that your ears will take another step into change.

Some of you will hear ringing that will go on and on and on and on.

Take it as a vibrational imprint for it simply means that you are vibrating in harmonics

with a new alternate reality which is very close to yours.

From Archangel Michael:Oh, do not think that you cannot hear the sound of your collective

or of your planet!

You are always hearing the sound of the universe, that high-pitched ringing in

So what does all this mean?

Simply that we all evolving, and doing so at unprecedented rates.

These changes are interpreted by our physical senses and can have the appearance of coming

out of nowhere for no reason.

There will be commonalities and also differences in how these changes are interpreted by our

physical senses.

The difficulty arises because we are so tuned, so programmed, that whenever anything out

of the ordinary occurs in our body, we worry about it.

When we notice something out of the ordinary we have a learned drive to know what it is,

why it is, and how to be rid of it so that we can get on to being normal again.

What were beginning to realize is that even what constitutes normal is changing.

Indeed there may never be a normal again.

But perhaps the most important thing to remember from all of this information is to stay

out of fear.

Seek advice and reassurance from your Higher Self.

You are always supported and unconditionally loved.

Boosted Board or this Half Price alternative? Slick Revolution Review! - Duration: 8:55.

Hello and welcome to the show!

My name is Alex and this is TechFlow!

Today we're looking at an electric skateboard - not a boosted board but a board from Slick Revolution.

Let's get in to this.

So, first off, a little bit about me.

I haven't really ridden a skateboard properly for the last 2 or 3 years.

I used to ride skateboards quite a lot and then I went through a period of my life where

I got a car and stopped riding them.

So, I do know how to ride a skateboard fairly well and I know the basic terminology.

Right - let's start with the name.

Slick Revolution.

So, Slick Revolution approached me and said to me: Do you want - do you want to play with one

of your boards?

We'll send you the top of the range one - you can do as you please with it - whatever.

So, I said: Yeah, of course.

As long as I can go online and say whatever I want about it and they said: Yeah that's

fine.

You don't even have to make a video about it.

But here I am, making a video about it.

Slick Revolution - if someone asks me what the name of my electric skateboard is and

I say "Slick Revolution," they're probably going to, they're probably going to do this:

MAN: Tickle, tickle, tickle!

ALEX: As someone - someone brought it up to me earlier.

It sounds like a cheap Toys R Us brand but still - that's not what it's about.

It's about getting on the board and having fun - not about what the board is called.

So, what's it like to ride?

Well, to figure that out, we have to look at the build quality of the board itself.

So, on top, we've got a massive, massive surface.

It's 91.5 cm by 27.4 cm by 14 cm and this thing is heavy - coming in at 12 kilograms.

It's got an integrated lie-on battery which can get you from anywhere, between, like,

5 and 8 miles in my testing - they say on the website 8 miles - I got between 5 and

8 so fairly good.

It has a fairly, fairly, fairly quick charge time - charging this board in about two and

a half hours from zero to one hundred and it also has a built in USB port on the bottom

of it for charging the controller which is charged by micro USB - included in the box

is that cable.

You can also use that port to charge any device you want - so if you're out playing on your

board and you want to stop and charge your phone up, you can do just that.

Really cool feature.

Next to this USB port on the board on the bottom, we've got some power indicators - we've

also got the charge import included in the box is the charger with a fairly substantial

brick.

We've also got an "on" button and dual motors up the rear.

Now, these motors run at 1200 watts each.

Each motor is 1200 watts so, combine that together, and you're getting some serious

power and it really shows that when you're riding it.

You can get up some serious, serious inclines with this thing and this thing goes fast.

I've been going fast - like it's fast!

25 mph they say - I don't know exactly how fast I'm going - but it's fast enough.

Moving now on to the controller.

Yeah, it's plasticy - it has a little handle so you won't lose it when you're travelling

at high speed and you won't drop it - it'll stay attached to you.

It has two buttons on it - pretty much, one on the back to turn the controller on and

off and a little joystick type thing on the top to activate the brake which, also, when

you brake, it charges the battery and also acts as your accelerator too.

Now, if you do get one of these boards, when you turn it on, it comes on every single time

in normal mode.

If you want to put it in high speed mode when you turn it on, push the throttle all the

way up to the top and then turn on the controller - that activates high speed mode.

Everything's done on the controller.

You can even do this mid-ride if you want to switch from normal to high speed mode.

Really cool.

Now, a very big question: Does it have reverse?

No, it doesn't.

But it has a very, very, very harsh brake and it's actually, it's very variable but

if you pull it all the way back, it brakes very harshly, so if you are about to crash,

you can crack those brakes on and you'll be absolutely fine.

And, also, I've only just realised this and put two and two together and read it on the

website but the brake, when you brake, it actually charges the battery.

Really cool.

The actual board itself is made out of bamboo and fiber glass - except, obviously, the battery

on the bottom - and everything, as well as the USB ports, has a flap over it to make

sure that, well, it's dust proof and splash proof so if you go through any puddles, you

should be absolutely fine.

And, like the boosted board, with this model, the battery is flushed to the bamboo finish.

There's nothing actually sticking out from the bottom to, well, catch on any rocks or

bumps or scrapes.

It's all flush on the bottom with a very, very large clearance.

So, what's it actually like to ride the thing?

Well, very enjoyable - it's really, really, really fun.

Now, I have never used an electric skateboard before and I was never going to get one - as

I've already mentioned to you guys and verbally mentioned, they sent it out for review - I've

loved every second with this board.

The only negative thing I could say is that it's kind of a bit loud when you're using

it, like, really loud.

I'm not sure if this is down to the wheels or anything - I'm not sure - but it's loud.

It makes a lot of noise.

But, other than that, this thing is an absolute blast.

Riding through town in the evenings, going to work on this thing, commuting on this thing

- I could imagine anyone going anywhere - even to the shops on this thing.

It's got a massive, massive range, you can check the battery percentage on the board

in case you're worried about running out - this thing, I really rate this thing, right.

But, I'm not really a speccy kind of guy as far as skateboards are concerned so I'm going

to bring in our editor - he's been skateboarding all his life.

JED: OK, so, as Alex said: I've been skateboarding most of my life for a couple of years now.

And, I don't know loads about skateboarding but I know enough to be able to tell you guys

stuff that you probably need to know.

So, when I had a go on the board on the first time, I noticed four different things.

Now, these are the four things that I always look for when I'm either buying a skateboard

or trying someone else's skateboard out.

First thing was the wheels.

The wheels are a massive thing and this is why the board is quite loud - it's because

the wheels on this board are quite hard.

They grip really, really well though - that's the, kind of, weird thing about it.

I remember skating around this, sort of, weirdly smooth car park with Alex and the wheels would

grip really well around the corners so that's always an A*.

The trucks - they seem to work absolutely fantastically - they're unbranded trucks and

they're not exactly the best that you can get but this board is considerably lower priced

than the boosted board or, pretty much, I think any other electric skateboard I have

ever seen, really.

So, with that lower price, you're also going to get lower priced components.

So, you're looking at a budget skateboard with budget components - that's kind of how

it works.

Now, that's kind of how it works with any skateboard, really.

The grip tape's really good and that's one thing I always look for when I buy a new skateboard

- I stand on it and if my feet grip to the board perfectly, then I can't grumble and

this board is great, especially because your feet don't really leave the board itself.

You're always stood on it - you're never pushing because you've got an electric motor - you

don't need to push - you're always stood on the board and you need that grip to stay put.

But the one thing that always helps a lot with that is the fact the board has something

called a "camber."

So, the camber is basically the dip in the board.

So, the bit that your feet sit in.

So, this is the board and this is your foot - your feet are going to sit flush in the

board and it's never going to let your feet slip out.

So, when you go around harsh corners and things like that, not only is the grip tape going

to keep your feet in place but the camber on the board is also going to keep your feet

in place, perfectly.

So, the four things that I always look for in a board, I looked for in this board and

as soon as I got on it, I realised straight away that this board is not something that

you mess with.

This isn't a toy - this is like the real deal.

It's really, really great - I would definitely rate this thing.

ALEX: So, as Jed was saying, you buy a budget skateboard, you're going to get budget parts.

You're going to get budget wheels, you're going to get budget grip tape, you're going

to get budget trucks and everything else involved.

Same with electric skateboards funnily enough.

You buy a boosted board - a top end, a top end electric skateboard, you're getting things

like Orangutan wheels and all this stuff.

You buy a Slick Revolution board - half the price - you're not getting the major components

that you're going to find in a boosted board - the top end stuff - but you're going to

get the stuff that's going to do the job and get you from A to B having fun at really fast

speed.

I've been using this thing myself and I can confirm that.

It's like, it's like the difference between getting a penny board and an unbranded penny

board.

That's the best, the best way to say this, right now.

The boosted board is like the Apple of consumer tech - it's like the hoover of vacuum cleaners.

It's, it's made a name for itself and it is the top brand because of its marketing.

Right, I'm going to wrap this thing up and I'm going to say: Look, if you've got £600

to spend, go out and buy a Slick Revolution.

If you've got double the money to spend, go out and buy a boosted board - you're not going

to be disappointed with either of them.

My name's been Alex, this has been TechFlow bringing you honest reviews.

We'll catch you in the next one.

Do Fish Get Thirsty and Why Most Fish are Exclusively Freshwater or Saltwater Fish - Duration: 6:00.

Hello I'm Daven Hiskey, you're watching the Today I Found Out YouTube channel.

In the video today, we're looking at whether fish ever get thirsty.

For fish, or at least teleost fish (which make up about 96% of all fish), the desire

to drink is an urge that originates from the hindbrain, whereas in land-based animals it

originates in the forebrain.

It is generally thought from this that a fish has no real ability to consciously feel thirst

as we or many other land-animals would understand it; for them, it's just a natural reflex.

So the short answer to whether fish ever get thirsty is thought to be "no", at least not

on a conscious level.

However, fish do need to take in water, but, as with land animals, too much water can kill,

a particular problem when one is surrounded by it!

Unsurprisingly, the processes by which this is regulated in fish is quite fascinating,

and further answers the question of why most fish must stay in either a saltwater or freshwater

environment exclusively.

To begin with, we'll start with how exactly fish drink.

Like any other animal, fish need to maintain a strict balance of water and salt (among

other minerals) in their system to remain alive and flipping along.

As they're constantly surrounded by water, the main issue for fish isn't concerning

getting enough water in their bodies, but regulating concentration of certain minerals,

of particular importance being things like salt and potassium.

For freshwater fish, their blood has a higher concentration of salt than their surroundings

(hypertonic), which is a major problem.

While their skin is mostly impermeable (though not completely), as their gills are in constant

contact with the surrounding water, which is essential for them to breathe, water is

continually taken into the fish' bloodstream via osmosis, with osmotic pressure being the

key driver here.

For the uninitiated, osmosis is the movement of a solvent (in this case water) across semi-permeable

membranes (like cell walls), from areas of lower solute concentration to areas of higher

solute concentration.

This naturally equalizes the solute concentration on both sides of the membrane.

(This osmotic pressure is also why salt can be used to preserve meat.)

For example, if you take a red blood cell and place it in distilled water, thanks to

osmotic pressure and the fact that the cell membrane is thin and semipermeable, the cell

with its relatively salty interior next to the pure water will gradually absorb more

and more water until it explodes.

On the flipside, if you place that same red blood cell in water that is saltier than the

cell's interior liquid, the reverse will happen and the cell will gradually lose water,

shriveling up in the process.

Place it in water that has the same solute level as the cell, and nothing at all will

happen.

(Certain sea-life, known as osmoconformers, such as most marine invertebrates, actually

are more or less always in this state- maintaining the same solute concentration internally as

the seawater they live in).

Thus, to regulate the large amount of water entering its bloodstream diluting the concentration

of dissolved minerals, such as the ever important salt, freshwater fish must urinate incredibly

often.

(This is one of the reasons it's advised to clean a goldfish bowl regularly or install

a filter.

And, note, contrary to popular practice, you should never, ever leave a goldfish in a small,

simple fish bowl for a variety of reasons, see our video on the matter for more information).

Towards this end, freshwater fish have large kidneys with a relatively expansive network

of capillaries, called the glomerulus, facilitating faster urine production.

This helps, but the fresh water fish also need to take in relatively significant amounts

of salt to further aid in keeping their levels high enough.

They are able to do this thanks to special chloride secretory cells in their gills which

will actively draw salt from the surrounding water and release it into the bloodstream,

at the same time osmotic pressure is drawing more and more water into their system, diluting

the blood.

The problem for saltwater fish is more or less the exact opposite as freshwater fish,

and it should come as no surprise then that their drinking and urinating habits likewise

go the other way.

The saltwater fish have less salt in their blood than the surrounding water (hypotonic).

So rather than absorbing water as it passes through their gills, saltwater fish lose a

lot of water from their blood as they breathe via the same osmotic pressure as mentioned

with the freshwater fish.

As a result, they must drink considerable amounts of water through their mouths.

However, again, because the part of the brain that controls this is in the hindbrain, it's

generally thought this regular swallowing of water is a reflex action performed without

a conscious thirst sensation.

Saltwater fish also don't urinate much at all, in order to conserve water.

Towards this end, they have very few, small capillary networks making up their glomerulus,

unlike freshwater fish.

However, the water the saltwater fish are drinking has an awful lot of salt in it- much

more than they need.

To get around this, the chloride secretory cells of saltwater fish, rather than absorbing

salt from the surrounding water as with freshwater fish, actively release it from the fish's

body into the environment.

This all combines to more or less automatically keep the saltwater fish's salt levels in the

optimal range.

As for fish that can migrate back and forth from fresh water to seawater, their bodies

are capable of regulating both ways, but they typically require an acclimation period between

the two.

For instance, salmon start their lives in freshwater, and as they begin to transition

to saltwater they'll naturally start drinking more and more water, while their urine production

begins to rapidly drop.

At the same time, a special enzyme results in a reversal of the previous function of

their chloride secretory cells in their gills- instead of absorbing salt from the environment,

the "pump" reverses, excreting it.

Once their bodies have fully transitioned (generally after a few days hanging out in

the intertidal zone), they are free to safely venture out into the big blue.

The same thing happens again in reverse when they return to fresh water to spawn, spending

a few days acclimating in between until the system has naturally switched and they can

safely head up stream.

I don't really know. It depends on the boat. If it's a cruise...

If it's a cruise, that a boat

If it's a Disney cruise. If it's any other cruise, it's meh. But if it's a Disney Cruise...

Yes, probably

Probably boat

boat

Beach definitely!

beach

Mountains are freezing cold. Well most are I guess. Ours are filled with snow and it's super freezing outside so we're gonna go with the beach all the way.

That's hard

You can use fire to like cook things and make you warm but ice also like cools you down and yeah. I'm gonna go with ice because in Wizard 101 I was the ice wizard and not the fire wizard. So I'm gonna do that.

I actually think I was the fire wizard, wasn't I?

I don't really remember. I think we were both ice but maybe you were fire.

I'll go with fire to be different. I don't know why.

zombies

But zombies eat your brains. I guess killer clowns would do the same thing.

Yeah, they probably would be even worse. Zombies you can outrun.

True, yeah zombies

They're so slow. They're like mwahhh.

Yeah, we're gonna go with zombies except there could be more zombies than clowns because people turn into zombies after they die and then the whole world is zombie but a clown...like you have to become a clown or...I guess dress up as a clown.

I'd do zombie.

Day definitely

Day

Because night-time your're just tired

You're just sleeping the whole night.

Yeah, basically like unless you like getting your beauty sleep but other than that, I'm more productive during the day.

And also at night, even if you were to stay up at night, you can't go out around the town and do things cause it's night- time.

Yeah, true.

ummm neither!

I'd probably be...oh both are so bad. It would smell either way. I would probably go with the gassy dog so I wouldn't get dirty by the poop that's being thrown by the monkey.

That's what I was gonna do too because the poop would smell nasty, although the farts would smell nasty too.

Eventually you would get used to it

If you've ever smelled a dog's fart it's like 10 times worse than a regular

Jordan would know.

It's so bad!

Pigs. feet. I would not be able to eat fish eyes. No way!

I would choose pigs feet too because we've had it before. Fish eyes I don't think I could just pop it in between my jaw.

And then like...And then it squirts

Gross! Yeah- pigs feet, even though pigs feet is nasty.

Yeah, both are gross.

Both are so bad!

That's gross!

Gross. Probably sweaty feet because you can kind of contain them in a shoe but sweaty armpits it just stains right through your arms. You can smell it from across a room.

Yeah I would say sweaty feet cause you can put a sock over it. And it would kind of contain it a little bit or then you could at least cool it down by dunking it into ice water or washing off your foot. You can't just go like wash off your armpit and get all of you wet. Where as your feet, you can kinda wash your feet and dry them off.

You'll be good

I would say party with friends. Jordan

I would say home alone. I would say home alone because then you could do whatever you want and you wouldn't have to entertain or just like...I don't know.

Jordan's a loner.

I'm a loner. Because then if you have to party with friends then you have to party and get all dressed up and get all ready. Where as home alone, you can just be in your P.J.'s, I can watch Netflix, and chill.

If you have a P.J. party...

True, it depends on what type of party.

crunchy

It depends

Think about a squishy chip. It's just like soggy.

Well think about a crunchy pigs feet jello.

Ewww. In both ways it's ewww.

Well, think about crunchy...

jello

crunchy pudding

I don't like pudding anyways.

Crunchy butter

crunchy butter. Crunchy jello, crunchy milk, crunchy water, crunchy water! Gulp! Gulp! Gulp!

I guess squishy because then I could have liquids. Ha! You can't have liquids.

Well I can have chips

I get squishy chips

Squishy...soggy chips

LAWrider - Casting (Article 2.) - Duration: 6:18.

So, I have looked at our possibilities, and I think we can

narrow it down to three people.

At least, I chose three people.

WE chose.

I chose.

Since I am the director and producer of this project, and

my parents are putting up the money, it is I who chose.

Ábel, 17 years old, 60 kg.Ancsa, 17 years old, 57 kg, Emma, 17 years old, 55 kg.

Well, I think we have it.

Which show is directed by your dad?

By me.

It's a family business.

The Heart of the White Tiger.

Which is play from India.

She's got the skin colour and hair colour, everything. Perfect match, right?

I think Ancsa is at least as good a choice.

TripolisziAncsa, 17 years, 165 cm tall, 57 kg

She can't decide what her eye colour is, probably because it's so beautiful.

She likes to act, I quote: "My ma says I'm very good at everything I do.

Im not saying this cause Im full of myself, but Im beautiful."

She doesn't use apostrophes, but I think won't be an issue here.

"My class teacher said my face is camera-ready. I got lots of

experience in life. I can lie believable, cause when they say wassup,

I can make liek I be good when I ain't." Her special "skilz":

"I can do the bridge standing up, I can do splits, I can ride."

What does she ride?

Oh, god.

And what's really important is that my dad will

give us double the money if we choose her.

I found her Instagram. Pretty enough. She has 12 thousand followers.

More people.

Ábel, yes. Ábel.

17 years, 60 kg. Experience in theatre: "I go to the theatre

a lot because my parents take me." Good family background.

"I never played in shows, but once I saw a really good show,

I don't remember what it was called but I liked it a lot.

I'd like to act in this show because I think my family

could do with even more success." Enthusiastic!

"My father is the director of the National Theatre, and my mom is a manager. So they

can sponsor the whole thing." We've got the location, there's money, even more...

Special skills: "Once I shook hands with Brad

Pitt, since then we've been talking on Facebook."

And you believe that?

"When they broke up with Angelina, I was the one who comforted him."

And you believe that?

And anyway, he's a boy. How will he play the part of a Hindu girl?

Makeup and a wig. It's inside the budget.

But here's Emma, who doesn't need makeup or a wig. Just look at her! Isn't it obvious?

Let's see what it says about her.

"Fekete Emma, born..." "Height: 168 cm, weight

55 kg, born in Sărmașu, learnt piano at the

Sfântu Gheorghe High School, member of the "Crafty

Leprechauns" theatre group,", yes, and so on.

Here!In 2014 she was an extra in the Cannes Grand Prix-winning film "In Disguise",

and in 2015 she played Andrea in Horváth Attila's

short "The Bargain on the Plains". Special skills:

belly dancing, which would be useful in the show,

knows English, Romanian, German, French and Romani.

What else do you need?

Look what I found:

"Inheriting disrupted emotional patterns in the case of Gypsies.

Just as in the case of human languages, inherited biological

traits also play a part in the acquisition of emotional patterns.

Yet actual human emotions are derived from the patterns of the basic emotional

units which mirror the life- and social style of the given culture."

Ergo, who will go to a show where the main character is played by a Gypsy girl?

So, based on mutual agreement, I can say that

Ábel is the right choice.
