Saudi PR Sleaze Dupes U.S. War Veterans - Duration: 3:22.

Veterans have come forward to complain that they were used as pawns by the Saudi Arabian

government to lobby for an amendment that would limit Saudi government's responsibility

and liability for nearly 3,000 murders that took place on 9/11.

The Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act, or JASTA, which was passed by Congress

in 2016, finally allowed the families of 9/11 victims to sue Saudi Arabia for the role of

Saudi government officials in the attacks.

Here to talk about this story is Farron Cousins, executive editor of The Trial Lawyer Magazine.

Farron, can you explain how these veterans are being ... I mean, they're being hustled

by the Saudi Arabians.

They really are.

It's an interesting story, but what they've done, basically, is they've tracked money

coming from the Saudi Arabian government to PR firms, organizations like that, that then

are using that money to hire veterans, telling them, "You need to go to Washington, D.C.

We're going to pay for you to stay there for five days, flights, meals, hotel, everything

is included, as long as you go and protest this bill, because what it's going to do is,

it's going to give governments the ability to sue you.

Foreigners are going to have the ability to sue you, Mr. Veteran, because of what you

did over in their country as part of the U.S. military."

They're telling them that they are the ones, the veterans, are the ones who are going to

be sued under this legislation.

Which is a lie.

I mean, it's just fantasy ...

Right.

... story, and the, again, corporate media is not picking this story up to even explain

what a lie this is.

What's been the reaction for these veterans once they find out that the Saudi government

and the, basically, corporate media that never tells the story, and politicians, have all

lied to them about what's really happening here?

It's a mix of shock and just outright disgust.

These people understand that they were duped, they were lied to, they were sent on these

trips.

They thought they were doing something positive.

They thought they were helping their fellow veterans, future soldiers, to avoid any kind

of liability for following the orders of the U.S. ...

GAME CHANGER: Russia's Most Powerful Nuclear Attack Submarine Ever "Kazan" Launched - Duration: 3:07.

"Ulyanovsk" is the name of a nuclear submarine that will be built in the Sevmash shipyards.

The short-term plans for equipping the Russian Navy

were announced during the launch ceremony of the submarine Kazan,

the next to last of the <i>Yasen-M</i> series.

These are the most modern submarines in their class.

Nikolay Vasilyev has our report from Severodvinsk.

It's submariner tradition for the crew's Commander to break a bottle over a new submarine's keel.

The bottle's neck with the cork still inside is their first souvenir.

Shipwrights have another tradition - to put a coin under the wheel of the slipway,

on which the undersea cruiser will depart the shipyard.

The multi-use nuclear submarine Kazan is the first to be constructed for the <i>Yasen-M</i> series.

Compared the lead sub, the Severodvinsk, which is just 3 years old,

The Kazan is better equipped to see other ships,

and the cruiser itself is less recognizable to foreign radar.

Also, for the first time, all modules and equipment are Russian-made.

The nuclear undersea cruiser Kazan leaves the largest shipyard in Europe at minimum speed.

It will take one whole hour to cover a distance of 200 meters.

But it will still be some time before her screws touch water.

First, they need to load fuel into the nuclear reactor.

And only then does government testing begin.

The new sub will be armed with torpedoes, cruise missiles, and maybe even nuclear materials.

She will be able to hit any target, whether underwater, on the water, or on the coast.

And the last ship, the sixth, called "Ulyanovsk," will get underway this year.

We still have a lot of work ahead of us.

the factory will develop, hire young workers, and once again have a big, bright future.

By 2022, Sevmash will have built 7 nuclear missile carriers for the <i>Yasen</i> project.

In the future, these supermodern multi-use subs will become the backbone of Russia's undersea fleet.

retires, he will know if he was a good judge.

ONCE WE STOPPED DOING THAT, WE ARE LITERALLY A SMARTER COUNTRY.

this fantastic track!

So, let's go ahead. So here we are, exit of the last chicane,

trying to get good speed to go through this long straight.

Getting into the first corner, the only corner that changed,

last year we had a chicane, this year we've got a right-hand

corner. Really tricky braking. Bumpy, very bumpy.

Very tricky exit. You don't want to put your wheels

on the grass. Now this is probably the most difficult corner

with very long braking, wide turn-in, so very easy to lock up

the tyres. Here you can see me missing the apex, trying to get

good speed again now and arriving at a very interesting

part of the circuit which is the stadium. Massive crowd

during racing. This is actually the only corner which was

the same as in Formula 1. Then the whole stadium changes

with the triple left corner. Coming quite quick into the

corner, stopping quite a lot, the car. Getting into the most

bumpy part of the track, this is the exit of the stadium with

a long right corner, very easy to make a mistake here.

So exit quite close to the wall. Coming to the last chicane,

getting difficult braking with it not being a straight line.

Cut the chicane, cut the corners, quite bumpy also,

and again, trying to get a good exit and here we are.

One lap of Mexico.

That looks like a lot of fun, looks tricky though!
