Youtube daily so Apr 2 2017

- Hello, I'm Jill... -... and I'm Jenna. - Welcome to ASL Stew!

(hand slap... ♪♪♪)

- Hello, hopefully everyone is having a good day so far.

Today, finally we are doing a new Q and A.

I know we asked you guys questions a while back

and it's taken some time, but we've finally found the perfect time to go ahead and do it.

So now we're gonna answer some of your questions.

- Yeah, we'll try to answer as many as possible, as many as we can.

Some we have to do research on and we'll let you know those later.

- Okay, the person's name is Leslie and she's asking Jill,

"How can I qualify to work VRS?"

- Okay, so when working VRS, there's no specific qualifications you must have.

Some companies do require you to be certified, some may not.

I'm not 100% sure of other companies.

But, what you do have to do is take a... test.. a screening for that

and if you pass the screening, you can work VRS.

I would say in general, you should have probably graduated from an ITP

unless you already have a lot of experience before entering the ITP.

Also, it'd be good to have a lot of diverse knowledge before you get into VRS,

but I would say generally, if you can handle diverse topics,

and people, and you pass the screening then you qualify!

Okay, this is from Caitlyn and they said,

"My son is five and he is missing the bone structure in his middle ear.

His first language is ASL and when people ask, I say he is hard of hearing.

Recently his teacher told me to never use the words

hard of hearing, especially not hearing impaired

because that's considering him having a disability."

She said "As a mother I don't see him disabled at all."

She said "The teacher said call him D/deaf, that's it."

"So I was wondering, do I have to call him and does he have to say he's just D/deaf?

He still has some hearing and I thought the word D/deaf

was exclusively for people that don't hear at all.

Not trying to be offensive, but I don't know."

So maybe you can answer a few questions.

Answer, is hard of hearing and hearing impaired... are those offensive?

Do you have to call yourself D/deaf? -- and what does D/deaf and hard of hearing mean?

- Okay, umm it's kind of a layered question so I have a few different answers.

First, "hearing impaired", yes that is considered offensive.

Just because it implies that you're broken.

There's something wrong, and you need to fix it.

Which that's not the point... so.

But D/deaf, hard of hearing -- really it's kind of up to you

and/or your child how they develop their identity.

The only difference between D/deaf and hard of hearing is

D/deaf tends to emphasize that you're D/deaf.

It doesn't necessarily mean you have no hearing,

like for myself, I'm Deaf and can still hear some and I call myself Deaf.

Hard of hearing tends to be more of a mild hearing loss.

Typically it means you can talk. Some people can use the phone.

There's some loss, but it's not profound.

But again, there's kind of some overlap in that area

so really it's kind of up to you as an individual -- how do you label yourself?

Do I think I'm D/deaf? Do I think I'm hard of hearing?

Also, there's lowercase and capital D/deaf.

So, lowercase (deaf) is just a hearing loss.

Capital D (Deaf) is a cultural connotation that use ASL.

So what I would recommend is don't worry about it right now.

Just let your child develop and when he feels comfortable,

ask him -- you can explain exactly what everything means to him.

Then see how he feels, which matches him and then go ahead and use that.

- Yeah, but hard of hearing is not an offensive word.

I mean, I know many people who call themselves hard of hearing and it's fine.

It's not offensive at all.

- No, it's just hearing impaired, that's the offensive one.

- Okay, the next one is from Terry.

They asked, "What is the best way to practice signing by yourself

if you don't have someone to practice with?"

- Just repetition really. Just keep signing.

Watch different videos of Deaf people signing and try and see how do they sign.

Then kind of look at your own signing and see does it match that?

It doesn't have to be 100%, that's a stylistic issue.

But, in concept are you matching how they sign?

You can look at English sentences and try and translate them.

How would I sign that?

Really it's just using the sign language over and over and over.

That will help you pick it up.

- Also, if you want more in depth, we made a whole video about that.

All about that topic. So I will leave a link down below

and also I will put it in the cards. I think it's up there... or over there.

Somewhere up there... I think it's over there. Is it over there? Right over here.

I think -- not right there. (laughs)

But, we'll have that video for you, or the whole video specifically.

There's a whole one about that.

- Okay the next person is from Instagram.

It is from 11_gracie112 and they said,

"How long have you been an interpreter?"

- I have been a professional interpreter since January of 2008.

That's what I remember.

- So almost 9 years. - Yeah pretty much 9 years, almost 10 years.

Woo, I'm old! Yes, I'm very old.

- Yeah, you have a lot of white hair.

- No I don't. She does though.

- I can see it right now.

- Okay, the next one is from _.its._.chris._ .

They say, "What is your position on hearing people

getting involved in Deaf culture and learning sign language?"

- I mean, I would say in general, really it's just important you're respectful.

If you want to learn sign language, you want to be in the community,

just make sure you show respect.

Whatever the Deaf person tells you -- if they give you an explanation or something,

go ahead and accept it.

Don't criticize them or say "No I'm right!". That's not the right way.

So, it's best to be respectful and pay attention to what others are saying and just go from there.

Then it's perfectly fine. That's fine. So nothing wrong with that!

- Okay next question is from lizbethcalfro and she says,

"Does Jenna have any interpreter pet peeves?

Anything I should know before becoming an interpreter?"

- Just pick one? - You can name a few.

You have nothing because all interpreters are perfect right?

- ...right.

- So number one, when you're spelling words... spell them clearly!

Don't go like asldthunalkjno. Spell them clearly so that I can understand them.

The second one, don't fall asleep.

It's happened before -- it's actually happened to me!

- I'm sorry, it's not funny.

Yeah, they fell asleep.

Ummm, I would say don't assume or take over for a Deaf client

or say something without the Deaf client's permission.

Let them say it, don't assume. Let them lead the conversation.

You're just mediating. That's all. You're just translating.

You can go ahead and say something if there's an audio cue or something like that,

but don't assume and take over and say "Oh no, let me go ahead...".

Let the Deaf person go ahead and be empowered.

Don't take that away from them. So, that's a really big one too.

I mean, I could list probably a lot but I think those are the most important ones.

- Yeah, maybe we could make different video talking about

things I wish interpreters would do, or wouldn't do.

- That's a good idea. - Yeah we'll put that down.

- Okay, the next one is from yoot.jpg and they say,

"What is the outlook for interpreters, or people who want to become an interpreter,

who have a disability? If they have a wheelchair, or service dog,

or something like that, are they still able to do a good job?"

That kind of thing. What do you think?

- Well the answer to the end is yes.

You can become an interpreter if you have a disability, depending.

I know some interpreters who have part of their leg missing.

I know some interpreters -- well I know one specific interpreter

who only has I think 4 fingers like this and like that maybe (born that way),

but they can still interpret just fine.

Umm, I personally don't know any specific interpreters in a wheelchair

but I don't think that would matter.

Ummm, I mean... as long as you can be clear, it shouldn't matter I guess.

I mean I would say if you're missing an entire arm,

I don't know if you could become a professional interpreter

just because it would be hard to be clear,

but maybe in some situations you still could.

- Like for example, if you want to be an interpreter

maybe you could be a voice only interpreter.

Just taking things in receptively and doing that.

- Yeah, if you have a voice problem then maybe you could sign only.

You know -- for example, there's CDIs -- I mean it's not --

I'm not saying the CDI is for that reason, but many CDIs don't voice.

They're there for another reason obviously, but they don't voice.

Maybe they could have somebody else there.

You could maybe have someone else voice for you.

Really it's just going to depend on what your, so to speak, disability is.

Maybe you can speak with a company - if a company was to hire you for a specific reason,

there might be limitations with your work.

You could work with other interpreters. Team a lot with people who are willing to do that.

So it's really just going to depend.

I would say, maybe try and see -- figure out what your abilities and strengths are

and then if you pick up sign well... maybe you could --

if you want to become an interpreter, maybe you could talk with an interpreter agency.

Even if you don't know sign that well now, just say,

"Hey I have these specific disabilities, would it be possible to speak with the agency later on

if I were to pick up sign and have good skill?"

See what they say! I'm not 100% sure,

but just because you have a disability does not mean you can't be an interpreter.

Of course not!

- The next person is ladymagic_31, they ask,

"How do you handle awkward situations while interpreting?

How do you maintain professionalism?"

- Well, I mean awkward situations are going to happen.

Most of the time, I just try to keep neutral as much as possible.

I mean I know sometimes it's gonna be awkward and there's not much you can do about that.

But I mean, if you laugh a little or something -- if everyone is laughing

and you snicker, it's not really a big deal.

To maintain professionalism, again try to be as neutral as possible.

Don't try and show too many facial expressions.

If you're disgusted or something like that, just try to be a neutral as possible.

I think that's the best thing you can do, but it happens sometimes.

Okay, the next question is from girloftheseas.

She has quite a long paragraph talking about being involved -- owning a store

and having D/deaf people come in as customers.

But the question is, "As a hearing person, other than learning sign language,

what do you think would provide a better customer service for your community?

Is there a way of making a store or public place more D/deaf friendly?"

- Well, I think the best thing you can do for accessibility

is if you have any sort of videos or TVs, make sure you have the captions on.

That way people can see and understand what's going on.

If that's impossible, maybe if you have your own video

that does not have captions or something like that,

have some sort of text or flyer or some sort of summary or transcript or something

making it equal for D/deaf people so they can read it or something like that.

That would be really great!

Umm, also I would say for all of the workers, just make sure they have paper and pencil ready.

If you don't know sign language, that's perfectly fine.

Just have a back-up way of communicating ready.

I think that kind of thing would be good, really. Yeah.

Just make sure there's good lighting, it's really bright

so you can have good visual communication.

If there's any sort of pathways or something, try to make the a little bit wider if possible.

Just because D/deaf people tend to walk side by side. It's just their generality.

- Just in general an attitude. You know, don't be scared or ignore D/deaf people.

Make sure the employees are aware of what being D/deaf means

and what being D/deaf doesn't mean as well.

Just having awareness I think is a big help. - Yeah, that'd be good.

- Thanks for asking that and trying to improve your store or place.

The next one is from lizbethcalfaro, and she put down a link of a video

and said "Please, please, please react to this."

So I just looked at it because I didn't know what it was

and I've seen it before. It is from Wells Fargo.

It's a commercial I guess... and it has --

there's 2 women learning sign language and at the end

it has the 2 of them and they're adopting a younger deaf girl.

Saying "Hi, we're going to be your moms. We love you."

So she wanted us to react to that.

- I think it's a cute commercial.

Yeah, it shows a good willingness to learn about

the deaf child's language and learning sign language.

So it shows they're making an effort and really are motivated.

So, I think that's really nice to see. It's cute.

- Yeah, and of course lesbian mothers, we're like "Yessss, so cute!"

At the end the little girl's so adorable. I'm like "Ohhhh!"

She's cute. So I like it. I thought it was a really good representation.

Plus, of course, lesbian people adopting woohoo!

Okay, so we have quite a lot more questions left

so we're gonna go ahead and do a part 2 and release that later.

So, now we are going to end the video for today.

So, hopefully you liked part 1 of the Q and A.

I'm happy we've got a lot of questions so far.

I'm sorry it's taken a long time to answer them. - Yeah we got quite a few.

We try our best to answer -- we will! It just may take some time, so part 2.

Neglected Pony's Hooves Grew So Long He Couldn't Walk - Duration: 2:06.

Typically, horses' hooves are supposed to be trimmed every three to four weeks, but

one poor Shetland pony went ten agonizing years without getting his feet trimmed.

Over the years, the pony's hooves grew so long that they curled around themselves and

made it impossible to walk.

And while the animal was clearly suffering, his cruel owner did nothing but lock him and

another horse up in a hidden shelter.

Recently, however, the owner decided to surrender the two animals, and rescuers from the local

sanctuary Animaux en Péril rushed to the property and found the starving animals in

the shelter filled with two feet of manure.

"It is impossible to imagine the distress of the last few years, the omnipresent suffering,

the hunger that gnaws and disintegrates, the torture of itching, the confinement in the

impenetrable air," the sanctuary wrote about the animals they named Poly and Everest.

"Under torture time is infinite."

While the starvation and neglect were bad enough, the rescuers were devastated by the

sight of Poly's overgrown hooves, which made it impossible for him to walk.

"In 24 years of existence, our refuge has never hosted an equine with hooves so long,"

the sanctuary said.

They immediately trimmed the hooves before bathing, shaving, and feeding the two animals.

It's still too soon to see if the years of neglect will have any lasting effects,

but Poly and Everest are already doing much better after finally getting the care they

desperately needed.

"Poly and Everest are better already!" the sanctuary said.

"[Poly] already feels much lighter … just as his companion in misfortune [does]."

Hacker Says Trump Was Spied On 247 And So Are YOU, Just By Using This One Sneaky Item We All Have - Duration: 14:38.

Hacker Says Trump Was Spied On 247 And So Are YOU, Just By Using This One Sneaky Item

We All Have

WHOA!

WikiLeaks just dropped one of their largest DUMPS of info on Tuesday that consisted of

thousands and thousands of documents that all led to exposing the Central Intelligence

Agency.

Yes, the C.I.A.

Obama's CIA has just been exposed for creating tools of "cyber attacks" for example turning

smartphones and smart t.v. into microphones… sound a little to Hollywood spy film for you?

Well, folks, it is not real life…and who knows for how long.

Most likely that past 8 years…right?

The first set of documents released also imply that Donald Trump was spied on with these

very CIA tools….and all this just days after President Trump has announced that Trump Towers

was bugged.

By…Obama's people.

Now after the release today, everything changes…because there is just too much to ignore.

It can't be ignored, but how much do you want to bet that the left is going to try

and do EXACTLY that.

I'm sure they will…

Deny and redistribute blame elsewhere.

<—- such a left thing to do.

They suck.

Check this out…

So now after the release today you should know that famed hacker, Kim Dotcom said that

President Trump would "totally go ballistic" if he learned exactly what the Obama CIA did

watching and listening to him 24 hours a day…

7 days a freaking week.

This is madness…and quite frankly, makes me want to slap these asshats.

However, I won't, because….I'm a conservative.

So they have my permission to go slap themselves.

Here is what he had to say…

After all this, doesn't it feel like our reality has turned into a Hollywood blockbuster

movie of espionage, blackmail, sex-scandals, everything else under the sun?

It's all happening…and right under our noses.

This is the corruption of D.C. that President Trump has to deal with.

The Democrats have ensured that there are no more answers to find there, only it's

corruption, and Trump's mission to drain the swamp is going to take divine help at

this point and nothing less.

Nothing less.

It is so painfully obvious that the corruption is layer, upon layer, upon layer of deceit

and lies, no telling how deep it goes or who can be trusted.

I take it back this isn't a spy movie we are living, this is a horror movie.

When you think about it…could this be the reason that Comey let Hillary go?

Did she know about the spying?

It appears that Hillary actually knew about the wiretap…because she tweeted about it

one week BEFORE the election.

Witch.

Now, let's not forget that then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch took it upon herself

to meet with Bill Clinton on the tarmac at Phoenix International Airport.

You all remember that right?

That meeting happened right around the same time the first FISA request came through.

Did Bill Clinton mention the wiretapping plan to his spawn of satan wife?

Were they actually ALL in cahoots?

Exciting times…but seemingly very dangerous times as well.

Pray for our country and President Trump, folks.

We need to fight the corruption.Libs and Illegal Aliens Will PANIC When They See Who's Paying

for the Wall in EPIC New Bill

The Trump administration has begun the arduous process of working to fund and create the

border wall along the Mexican and American border line that was promised during the campaign.

Bids for who will complete the project are underway.

Discussion over who will pay for it have been highly divisive.

Originally the President said Mexico would pay for it but then backtracked and said we

would but Mexico would pay us back with subsidies and tariffs.

Now an Alabama legislator is proposing a different way of funding the wall.

An Alabama Republican has proposed to fund the border wall by charging illegal immigrants

who live here in the United States.

His name is Rep. Mike Rogers and he unveiled the bill on the House floor this past Thursday.

The bill would tax money transfers from the United States to countries overseas at a two

percent rate.

The bill is called the Border Wall Funding Act of 2017.

The remittance charges would be focused on forty different countries in the Central and

South America region.

That money would then be reallocated towards funding the border wall.

Rep. Rogers said the following in a statement on the issue,

"President Trump has made it very clear that he intends to complete a wall along our

southern border.

As a senior member of the Homeland Security committee, I have long supported the border

wall, which will protect Americans.

In order to jumpstart the funding of the wall, I have introduced a bill to impose a 2 percent

fee on remittances sent south of the border.

This bill is simple – anyone who sends their money to countries that benefit from our porous

borders and illegal immigration should be responsible for providing some of the funds

needed to complete the wall.

This bill keeps money in the American economy, and most importantly, it creates a funding

stream to build the wall."

Despite this bill, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan said just this past week that spending

for the border wall would not be anywhere in the budget.

Even though the President has indicated they wish to start the border wall construction

this year.

Ryan told a reporter with CBS News the following,

"The big chunk of money for the wall, really, is … next fiscal year's appropriations

because they literally can't start construction even this quickly."American taxpayers should

not bear the brunt of this appropriations bill when it was the Obama administration

who allowed illegal aliens to infiltrate our country to the point where we need a wall.

Americans cannot afford this and don't deserve it.

If illegal aliens choose to remain here then it seems only fair they bear the brunt of

the cost of the wall.Welcome To Obama's America Family Fined, Threatened With Jail

For Building A Sand Castle

His name is Bryant Rylee, he and his family were at the beach last week putting together

a pretty sweet sand castle.

That was when they were confronted by police.

The officer, there to protect and serve was patrolling the beach for illegal castles.

Yes, apparently there are sand castles that can get you in trouble with the law.

Obviously, this police officer was bored, because he took it upon himself to stop and

tell this family that they were in violation of the law.

As most of us would, the Rylee family thought he was kidding, however, it was no joke.

No one got it, it seemed too weird, but then in a facebook post, Rylee explained what the

issue was.

It is 'illegal' to build a sand castle with a hole that is deeper than two feet,

except THEIR hole as he explained was not 2 feet deep but one.

So how was it in violation?

Rylee claims it wasn't.

However as it turned out, it isn't the hole that this police officer was protecting society

from, it was Rylee's son's equipment that was a violation, and actually criminal.

Rylee, however, wasn't buying it.

So he asked for more information, he wanted to know what ordinance he was violating.

It was this questioning of authority that led to the police escalating the call.

Before the police officer could tell Rylee which ordinance he was violating, the family

was apparently surrounded by police.

Rylee who says he's a devout Christian, also says he supports law enforcement and

prays "daily for their protection" he also mentioned on his social media account

that, "I do believe that we the people have a right to ask what ordinance number or to

see the ordinance." and doesn't understand why the situation had to escalate to the point

that it did.

It just sounds silly, really.

First that the police officer was roaming the beach looking for ways to catch people

breaking the law….while building sandcastles?

It's just too strange…

I would like to be protected from actual bad guys please like normal police officers do…

You know, the ones that actually fight to protect and serve.

Not this lady who wanted to spend her time on the beach looking for problems that have

nothing to do with protecting and serving…I mean, not unless Rylee's son was using an

AK-47 to dig the castle walls with….Authorities Just Rounded Up 40,000 Muslims And Booted

Them Out After Learning 1 Sick Thing They Had in Common

When Americans report Muslims we are labeled racists.

But somehow when others do it they aren't.

That is quite the double standard.

One Middle Eastern country was caught doing just that.

Saudi Arabia just deported 40,000 Pakistani migrant workers and they blamed it on terrorism

allegations.

The Saudi Gazette reported the following,

"A number of Pakistanis were held in the crimes of drug trafficking, thefts, forgery

and physical assault."

Law enforcement officials told the media they feared these migrants had ties to ISIS.

Others were deported because of expired residency statuses and expired work permits.

The Saudi Gazette said the following about the issue,

"Against this backdrop, Abdullah Al-Sadoun, chairman of the security committee of the

Shoura Council, called for thoroughly scrutinizing the Pakistanis before they are recruited for

work in the Kingdom.

He asked for more closer coordination with the concerned authorities in Pakistan to thoroughly

check those coming to work in the Kingdom due to the involvement of a number of Pakistanis

in security issues."

15 Pakistanis were arrested in the Al-Harazat and Al-Naseem districts of Jeddah on various

terrorism-related charges.

But Saudi Arabia is known for their terrorist ties and Wahhabism roots.

Perhaps these anti-ISIS raids are an attempt to rid themselves of their terrorist stereotype.

Their statistics of deportation are staggering, "Official Saudi statistics say that 243,000

Pakistanis were deported between 2012 – 2015.

Mass deportations of migrant workers – which Human Rights Watch and other rights organisations

say often involve illegal beatings and detainment in poor conditions – are fairly common."

We all have the right to defend our borders and Saudi Arabia is no different.

They know the threat of radical Islamic terrorism just as we do and they are being proactive

about protecting their citizens.

But nobody is criticizing them for it.

Nobody is saying they are racists and xenophobes.

It is only this way in the United States because Donald Trump is occupying the White House.

People want things to complain about so they complain about something everyone is doing.

From Asia to the Middle East, to the United States we will all do what is necessary to

keep our borders safe from the threat of radical Islam.

There is nothing to feel guilty or ashamed about that.

It is something to be proud of.Michelle Obama Just Got REALLY BAD News After What Came Out

Today — She's Finally DONE!

Michelle Obama has been out of her coveted spotlight since Melania Trump moved in and

far outshined the former First Lady.

Although she's out of the White House, she hasn't gone too far from the presidential

palace and now just a month-and-half into being a civilian again, she just got some

very bad news.

It's ironic that liberals like to claim that President Trump has an overinflated ego

when he replaced the Obamas who were the most arrogant pair to every grace the People's

House.

That cockiness just caught up to Michelle who just got a brutal slap of reality that's

probably going to sting for a while.

Michelle didn't give Melania a chance to prove she was a capable First Lady and instead

slammed her successor before Trump was even sworn into office.

She assumed that Melania would come nowhere close to what she was in this role and that

the new presidential pair would essentially self-implode and cry for her and Barack to

come back.

It was a huge mistake in showing her catty hate for this beautiful woman who is getting

the last laugh today after what just came out.

Not only has Melania been accepted by the American people, she's earned their respect

is spades, having brought class and values back to the White House.

She now has the numbers to prove just that which put Michelle squarely in her place,

after CNN published the First Lady's soaring approval ratings.

Favorability is up 16% since Inauguration Day and as of this week, 52% of U.S. citizens

say they love what they are seeing in Melania — which is 36% higher than when Trump first

took office.

Of all polled, 32% account for those who don't like Melania and are sticking to that opinion

and refusing to acknowledge the incredible things she's doing, which is probably a

lot lower than the landslide of disapproval that Michelle was hoping for.

To make matters worse for this now irrelevant woman, Michelle has to watch her own legacy

slip away from existence, as Melania makes huge strides.

The programs she put in place as

The programs she put in place as the Queen Bee over school lunches are about as unpopular

as she is.

This effort has been systematically destroyed since she left and replaced with something

that makes a lot more sense, which children actually enjoy.

In ditching this stupid program, some schools are seeing that their depleted budgets are

now beginning to balance out, Conservative Tribune reported.

"We've lost, to date, about $40,000 worth of reimbursement, but our sales are up about

$50,000 over last year," district business manager Brett Lago said.

"The participation has gone from about 25 to 45 percent, and we're still providing

free lunches to all those students who would have been eligible under the school lunch

program."

While Melania Trump continues to impress and upstage her predecessor, Michelle is suffering

repeat blows to her enormous ego, which should hopefully be a humbling experience.

5 DOMESTICATED SPECIES OF HAMSTER - Duration: 3:22.

Hey guys in todays video I am going to be talking about the 5 domesticated species of

hamster that you can own.

There are other species of hamster but these are only the domesticated ones you can purchase

in a pet store or from a breeder.

All these hamsters require the same type of care and have a estimated lifespan of 1.5-2

years sometimes longer.

The first species is the Syrian also known as the also known as the golden hamster/panda

bear/ or teddy bear hamster.

They're one of the most popular species of hamster and the largest ranging from 5-7

Inches long and weighing as large as 120grams to 200grams.

Syrians are a solitary species so this means they can only live on their own, and if put with

other hamsters will often fight to the death or become very stressed.

Syrians come in a very large variety of coat types, patterns and colourings and are usually

known for being a very calm and easy to handle species, but this really depends on each hamster's

personality.

Next is the Chinese Hamster originating from northern China and Mongolia, this species

is a lot more long and thin looking (similar to a mouse) and have a slightly longer tail

than the other domesticated hamster species.

They range from 3-5 inches long and weigh usually around 30-45 Grams.

The Chinese hamster is another species that can only be house by themselves like the syrian

hamster.

Fun fact Some states in America such as California and New Jersey consider the Chinese hamster

a pest so they require a special permit to own, breed or sell them.

Next we have the Russian Campbells dwarf.

They usually range from 3-4 inches in size and weigh 30-50grams.

They also come in a pretty large variety of colors and patterns and they are actually

often confused with the Winter White due to being very similar looking, though they will

often have a rounder nose and broader snoot.

Russian Campbells can be housed in pairs but it can be quite difficult and it's not necessary

to house them in pairs as they thrive just fine on their own.

Next we have the Winter White dwarf also known sometimes as the Siberian hamster.

Winter whites are also known to change their coats during the winter to white, and back

to their regular coloring come spring/summer due to the light cycles changing.

They are usually ranging from 3-4 inches long and weighing around 30-50 grams like the russian

campbells species, Because the winter white species is so similar to the Russian Campbells

dwarfs they actually can interbreed with each other creating a hybrid (though it is never

recommended to interbreed these species) and It's actually found that most Winter whites

labelled in petstores are actually hybrids and there are very few purebred winter whites

out there today.

And Last but not least we have the Roborovski which is the smallest domesticated hamster

being only 1.5 -2 inches long and weighing 20-25 grams.

They tend to be very famous for their white "eyebrows" above their eyes.

Robos are also the fastest domesticated species of hamster so they can often be hard to tame

and usually aren't recommended for beginners but that doesn't mean you shouldn't own

one if you want one.

I hope this video has helped anyone looking into the different species of hamster.

So yeah guys thanks for watching! bye!

How the Taekwondo Wireless Scoring System Works | The Tech Race - Duration: 5:13.

Welcome to The Tech Race.

The ancient martial art of taekwondo

has embraced the future at the Olympic Games.

Technology has brought the centuries-old martial art

into modern times.

(WIRELESS SCORING SYSTEM)

The wireless scoring system makes taekwondo

fairer for contenders and leaves no room for dispute.

This scoring system creates a more engaging experience

for the audience as they can follow in real-time.

Head sensors were introduced at the Olympic Games in Rio 2016,

taking the technology to a new level.

(REPUBLIC OF KOREA)

(SEOUL)

Taekwondo originally comes from Korea.

In its capital, Seoul, we witnessed a first-hand

demonstration of this technology.

The taekwondo scoring method makes you

distinguish where the hit comes from.

The sensor needs to detect

whether it comes from a foot or a knee.

The high-speed kicks of taekwondo are nearly impossible

to follow without technology.

This system allows judges to see with precision

the movements of each athlete.

This is important as different points are awarded

depending on where the opponent is hit.

Before the sport, especially in the major competitions,

there was lots of controversy.

Judges and referees were not getting the accurate scores

down on paper.

The sport was not very accurate at all.

People didn't think taekwondo a legitimate sport for

the Olympic Games.

In addition to the chest guard,

the evolution of the wireless scoring system

has introduced sensors in foot and head protection,

increasing the utility and accuracy

of this technology in taekwondo.

The combination of sensors can detect

the different types of hit and transmit this information

wirelessly to a computer,

where it is used by judges to award points to combatants.

A basic attack to the trunk protector is one point,

and two points if the kick uses a spinning technique.

To obtain three points, the athlete needs to reach

the opponent's head protector.

Achieving this with a turning kick means four points.

Punches and kicks must be powerful

because light tapping kicks do not earn points.

This technology also aids judges in awarding extra points

for strikes that incorporate spinning kicks,

accurately and in real-time.

We will test out...

the system today,

which means that we can compete without a judge.

Before the invention of the technology,

we sometimes looked at ourselves in the mirror

to see how we were doing it.

Taekwondo is a sport

that everyone can learn and enjoy.

In English, taekwondo means,

"the art of the feet and the hands" -

first appearing as a demonstration sport at

the Olympic Games Seoul 1988,

and becoming an official sport in Sydney 2000.

During Beijing 2008,

Sarah Stevenson was at the centre of an extraordinary

controversy when judges did not award points

for a high-kick to the head.

She appealed, and the British fighter won the fight.

Stevenson went on to take home a bronze medal,

winning Britain's first Olympic medal in taekwondo,

showing the inconsistencies in judging by eye.

Our next improvement goal is to make the electronic gear

easier for the athletes to use, optimising their performance.

Also it's very important to make them lighter

so that the athletes don't get tired so much

after several games.

You beat me because you were lucky.

No, I'm not better than you.

In order to keep up with the evolution of the Olympic Games,

sports must join the tech race.

Why are Israelis so argumentative? - Duration: 6:51.

Why is the typical Israeli

hyper-critical

or contrary to everything?

Why did you decide that is the typical Israeli?

Because you...

Ari Azur

that's exactly what I am talking about

Because that's how Israelis are

that's their personality

they oppose anything you say to them

"what are you talking about?! It's the opposite..."

I oppose what I don't agree with

I don't oppose automatically

If I agree, I don't oppose what they say

So you don't agree with it

That Israelis...

I don't agree with that description

Why is the typical Israeli

Boaz Ramat Gan

is really critical

or opposes anything he's told

When you say to an Israeli "A", he says "No, it is B"

It doesn't matter what you say

Why are you like that?

Because we are sure we know better

we are taught that "I know the best I know more than anyone else"

We are taught to speak and not listen

That is the reason in my opinion

Who teaches you to do that?

Who taught you to do that?

I am Canadian

They taught me to listen

So for us.... It's not that someone told me this

it's living within a culture and society

it's a culture of talking and not so much about listening

Ariel Rehovot

I am like that myself

I feel that there is some kind of

checking the limits seeing what you can get

what's the reaction

what you feel about something and how you can connect to somebody

feeling sure about someone or not

It's also, when you discuss issues

it's a very personal thing with Israelis

it's close to their hearts

So they want to see

if you are on the same level as them

if you understand them properly

and they try to fish out what they want to hear from you

and they'll try to do it

in a very extreme way

but it's not anything too bad

Why?

You have to take into account that not everyone is like that

Some are, some aren't

There are a lot

But anyways, I am not that way

How do I know? Maybe you saying no is really...

If you ask me, why is ...

is he walking around with hair like that? - So why?

I don't care It doesn't interest me

It's his life

Why do Israelis love to argue about everything?

What is up with us Jews?

Ofer Jerusalem

God who created the world

created everything with a few sides

this side and that side

In the Gmara, there are many sides

Many questions

You can look at anything from many different view points

So to bring out the full truth from God

Israelis want to get to the full truth

the Godly truth

So we argue

Let's say you believe in X

you say X, I say no, no, it is Y

Yes, so it will be more real

Always check to get to the deeper point

Why do you think Israelis

part of their mentality

they are very critical about everything

say the opposite to anything?

Almog Ramat Gan

Because people always persecuted us

so we are always suspicious

and are more aggressive

but I think it is something in the Israeli mentality

that for everything

it is difficult for us to accept criticism

you always think you are better

you always have something to say

and you don't accept (what someone says)

it in a constructive way

or in a way that will open your eyes

Why do you think Israelis

are so critical and argumentative

Daniel Jerusalem

You tell them something and the say "What are you talking about?"

Always the opposite

Firstly, Israelis are so contrary

and so self-absorbed

because they think they are better

because

that's how we are for years

for years

On television, the Torah

gives and puts

the Israeli and Jewish mentality to everything

and as you would expect

it gets to the situation where

your ego is really high

and you don't even notice it

Why do Israelis as part of their nature

Raphael Herzliya

are so argumentative about everything?

You tell them something and they say "No, what are you talking about?"

I will start with the fact that

you gave a generalization that is not true at all

Seeing it as contrary is not correct

because what came first, the chicken or the egg?

It's both true and not true

You don't think it is true or you don't?

Why? Am I on trial?

Maybe there is some truth

maybe some is not true

Do you know the story about the Rabbi?

The Rabbi goes to Yossef

and Yossef says

"Listen, I have a problem with Yankele"

"he doesn't pay me for his bills"

"he is always trying to cheat me out of money"

The Rabbi says

"He is not treating you right"

Then Yankele comes and says to the Rabbi

"I have a problem with Yossef

"he is stealing money from me"

The Rabbi says "Yossef is not treating you right"

(got the names confused)

The Rabbi goes home and his wife says to him

"You can't have it both ways. Either Yossef is right or Yankele is right"

The Rabbi says "You are also right"

That is Judaism

Cocky teen sends disrespectful texts to his mum - so she gets very public revenge|WEIRD NEWS - Duration: 2:27.

Cocky teen sends disrespectful texts to his mum - so she gets very public revenge

He probably won't be doing this again any time soon

An angry mum went to extreme measures to teach her son a lesson after he swore at her.

The hilarious text exchange between Tralenn and his mum has been shared online after she decided to embarrass him in front of his friends. The conversation starts off innocently enough, when the boy asks her if hell is a swear word.

Following her unclear response, he replies with a very bold message. In fact, he actually decides to use the word hell in every reply to the argument - thats 12 in total.

His appalled mum is far from impressed, and threatens to confiscate his mobile phone and his car keys. But things then start to escalate very quickly.

She says: I swear boy when I see you I'm gonna beat the HELL OUT OF YOU, you think I'm playing?.

I ain't spend 18 years raising no disrespectful child. And matter of fact don't even get ready for this whooping, you getting the hell out my house tonight.. However the teen doesnt seem too afraid, simply replying with crying laughter emojis.

She then threatens to go to his school to embarrass him in front of his friends. His confident tone starts to change slightly when she sends him a photo of the schools front door.

This is quickly followed by a photo of the school corridor.

The last photo in the message simply shows poor Tralenn sitting at his desk looking extremely shocked. And his mums winning response - Hell you look scared for?.

We dont reckon Tralenn will make this mistake again any time soon.

Ib - Part 3 - GARRY IS SAVED! - Duration: 21:04.

Please give me back my rose

(super girly scream)

Hello everybody! Whitemouse is in the house!

And welcome back to the world of Ib

In the last episode, we almost got killed by a gallows and watched an amazing show

So I really can't wait what is next

Actually, I don't want to know what is next

Ok, let's continue

What is this? "Eternal Blessing"

Of course!

Oh ho! This vase can refill itself

So, gotta remember this place

But, that pretty much tell me...this place will be very dangerous

Let's try the left

Ay...another vase. Why is there another vase when there is an unlimited vase out there?

Oh, this is the same as when I was with the creepy picture

It is also the same

What is this on the floor?

And...it seems this blue thing leads into this room

Ok...

Guess I'm going to find the key~~

Must be on the other side

No jumpscare please

SOmeone else's here!!

I got the key~~

Stop that! I will burn you! Stop wiggling!

Wait, why did I...

He's fainting and I just walk away after get the key

What kind of person am I???

What is hurting him?

Oh god...don't massage a person that is near dead

I don't get it...

I got the key so...let's check the room, maybe...

Oh!!! That's a rose!

And that is his rose, that person's rose

I need to...get it back?

Oh god...

umm...

Please give me back my rose?

Please...WAAAAHHHH!!!

Uhhh...no no no no no

Omg!! Noooo...

Get in get in!! They can't open the door!

They can't open doors

Ok, I got back the rose

Oh, so the Lady in Blue was picking the petals away

And that causes him pain

Ok...wooo...I'm lucky, she not ambush me right in front of the door

Ok, save

Give him back his rose...Oh wait, I can...heal it

Yay!!! Now he will be ok

Uhh...(satisfy noise)

I just saved someone's life. Feels good

Of course, first priority

that's weird, normally there will be a dialouge box that show me talking

So lazy...

Ok, I missed the moment. Sorry

Who is protecting who now?

Ok, a painting spits is a bizarre thing?

Come on, just experience what I have just...have to before I get here and you will understand...THE PAIN!!

wow...prepare for some running again, shall we?

Hello?

Now that's what a man do

wow...hands come out of nowhere from the ground

She wants something...THE RING, of course!!

A ring for...the left hand, yes, I...I know that

Ok, gotta save 1st

No name there

Ok, let's see this area

Don't ask me~~

This eye looks like...

That picture is so creepy

Ok, so there are 2 rooms

I go into this one first

What is this?

Ah, I can push the chairs

So, I need to push them to make a way

I don't know what on that chair but I will get it

Ok, let's see

And I'm stuck!

Let's see...

This will reset it

There must be a way to reset this

or I can just load again

whatever

So...

Go like this? Let's try this 1st

Let's just go with this randomly

I'm a professional

Ok, ok, we are done

Eyedrop for the eye~~ Of course

Here, mister~~

This will help you

Stare back? What good can that do?

AY...it looks so happy~~let's forget the fact thatit's an eye on the floor that makes it creepy

And it closes, maybe it want me to...

Ok, thanks you

What is that for?

Let's check this room and find out

oh wow...

this can be...

well, I will have to somehow evade the headless mannequin

There is something else here but I do't want to be cornered by those statues

Let's see...

Nothing here

Nothing here either

This doesn't look too good

They can chase me down, I need to...ok, now 1 of them is stuck!

I can...good!!

That hurts!

And I want to read the other 2 too

Ok! Safe!

What the...

Ok, what a helpful intruction at the end of the maze! Thank you!!(Not!)

Now I have to get out soon!

Let's just use it

I can just go out the other way and...use the eternal blessing

This wasn't here before

oh wow...

Ok, come out and save 1st

I don't feel good

(the cushion) represent the wine, huh?

Actually, it looks very good, just a bit tall

I doubt that, look at this gallery! Look at this exhibition

If those are real bones...(I won't be surprised)

No place to use the...red glass ball

Let's see...

I don't believe you at all~~

No, I won't give

No no nononono

Ok, this laugh is telling me that...Oh my god...

I will not give this picture my rose in a million years

How do I...

Maybe...

My intuition is right~~

Oh, the picture fell down

The big tree! Yes!

I got it, I got this!

Maybe here? Ok

So...that tree stole it from the bribe and groom outside or something?

Well...let's not question a haunted place's logic

Ok!! I remember it right!

The flower here for the picture. Ok!

Now I can safely pass it without giving it my rose

The color of this place really makes it gloomy

Ok, flower for you

No, not my flower

I knew it!!

That was good for you only, sire!

Yeah right...

Oh...god!!

So scaryyyyyy~~~

But lucky for me~~

I'm out of time for this episode~~

So I can have time to prepare my heart~~

Thank you everyone so much for watching!

WHY IS POP MUSIC SO BAD??!! - Duration: 2:29.

Have you ever met one of these

persons who spends most of his time

banging on about how he hates pop music

say much i hate pop music it's so bad

back in the 90s we had good stuff man

yeah and that that's all that their level of

conversation usually is it this is

really bad back then it was really

really really good here's the thing

right pop music is made to appeal to as

most to as many people as possible so

it usually follows a similar chord

structure it's usually got a solid beat

to it solid base and this is how it's

always been it's not like it started

about three years ago to get to be

getting really bad it's like in the

sixties what was one of the most popular

songs, sugar sugar you are my candy girl

I can't sing that was really popular

back then and the people who try and

refer to this I yeah man I was into the

kinks I was into the who yeah man that's

really good music not a lot of people

were into that by then it was still not

very popular and even if you think you

like those that music that the songs

that were popular by them were probably

songs that you dislike it's like the

most popular Beatles songs are kind of

you know kind of humdrum verse chorus

verse chorus virtually no meaning to

them and yet a lot of people say I'm

into the Beatles yeah really good or or

nirvana I like nirvana man yeah really

cool really cool back then everyone

liked them their most popular song

smells like teen spirit got to sixth in

the billboard top 100 and this is how

it's always been and I hate having to

say this but stop complaining okay stop

complaining you live in a world now where

instrumentation is at its peak the

instruments that artists have to use

there's so many of them so varied they

should be cranking out brilliant music

but I have a slight amount of sympathy for

this sort of argument because if you

look at the current pop charts what you

can argue is that they are dominated by

corporate pop in a sense that they're

dominated by these artists that are

virtually on the leash of these big

corporations so have to put out a

certain type of music you can make that

argument but you can also look back at

the 80s when when when there was a bit

more of that indie music going on then

but it still wasn't that popular still

wasn't that popular because people don't

like that people

like a verse chorus verse chorus they

like this in their ear it's nice it's simple

and it pushes them through the day so I

suppose if you like a certain type of

music play it listen to it do what you

want it to it but please stop crying about how

the fact that this is so bad
